Hel smiled widely as Xiu came up behind her, and she shifted a bit to let the Baku have a look as well. The reaper then slung an arm around the ghoul’s shoulders as she flipped through the book. “ I think you should sing with me, Xiu!” The valkyrie started excited, bringing Xiu closer to her as she flipped through more pages. “ Eh, there’s too many, so I’m just going to punch in the code!” The reaper let go of Xiu’s shoulders, only to grab her good hand instead. “ I’m so excited friend, this will be fun!” Oh, what’s that? Looks like she wasn’t asking if Xiu wanted to do this or not. The ghoul punched in a code for a song, and then went up to the microphone and screen, squeezing Xiu’s hand. “ Ready!?” She asked excitedly before the song began to play, and once it started, so did Hel.

"W-WHAT?! W-wait, no, Hel, I can't--!"
The baku looked like a deer caught in the headlights as she was pulled forward. "B-but I...I can't sing. I-I mean, I...I..." She protested weakly, knowing that it was too late. Well, maybe it would be a song that she was familiar with? One that was nice and slow and--
--...She was familiar with this song, but it wasn't what she had expected. Xiu's face was uncomfortably warm as the song began. Since she was already here, she...she might as well give it a go, right?
She would just skip the faster parts.

Roch was gonna shoot himself, he swore. Or he would, if Mot were here, so he could borrow his gun or something. Instead he just sat there, watching as the ghouls sing about being their lover, and tried not to groan.
The spice ghouls. Seriously? They were that cruel?
Plllleeeeassse let the song be over soon.

Xiu’s sounds of protest were ignored, and Roch’s lament to shoot himself was too. Hel was…having a rather good time! She sang through the song with the Baku, and once she was done she was laughing and flipping through the book briefly before punching another code in on the fly. Another song started, and Hel jumped just as enthusiastically into this one as well, even going as far as to look at Xiu while she sang and lightly bump her hips against hers playfully through out the song. What a bunch of mic hogs.

Okay, even though her face with incredibly red, maybe--just maybe--Xiu was having fun. It was probably because of Hel's encouragement, but the baku jumped into the next song with her friend, her tail wagging behind her. She took care to keep her voice softer though--honestly, with a voice like Hel's, the last thing Xiu wanted to do was drown out her the Valkyrie's voice with her own.
Stifling a giggle, she returned the light bump with one of her own, casting a glance back at Roch as if she was going, I-I'm actually singing!
She might have looked kind of ridiculously proud.

He was grinning at the second song, which he liked a hell of a lot better than the first one. He even placed his pinkies in his mouth and let out a whistle. He probably should have invited Mot to this, seeing the Valkyrie and the Baku cut loose was probably enough to make a guy fall in love with one of them, even if they hadn't already.
"Lemme do one!" he said, getting up as the song finished. "Just one, then you can do more."

Once the song was over, Hel was grinning widely as she placed her hands on Xiu’s shoulders. “That was most wonderful friend! We should do this more often!” She squeezed the ghoul’s shoulders affectionately, and then tossed a thumbs up over at Roch. “Ah, your turn?” She questioned. Oooh okay, she’d let go of the mic for now.
Hel lightly bumped her hip against Xiu’s once more as she jumped down from the little stage and then moved over to the couch, flopping down on it.

Her cheeks were warm as she smiled shyly at the Valkyrie. "Y-yes! Hel, you're a wonderful singer!" Karaoke definitely was a lot more fun than Xiu expected. Maybe she should try it more sometime?
...Preferably not alone, though. Not yet, at least--it was one thing to sing with a friend, and another to sing by herself.
As the mic was handed over to Roch, she offered the boil a smile before hopping off the stage after Hel and taking a seat beside her. While Roch was picking out his song, the baku turned to make small talk with Hel. At first, she was going to ask if she had just swung by to help Roch with his couch, but then she remembered the conversation she had overheard earlier.
...Hmm. But maybe now wasn't the best time to ask.

The problem with Roch, one that he hadn't realized himself, was that he was extremely expressive through what music he picked to play or sing. He flipped through the book he'd already looked through a few times, then picked one that suited both his mood and his voice. The rocking beat of " Kickin' My Heart Around" started playing, and his rough voice picked up the song as if it'd been made for him.

“Ah, thank you friend!” Hel replied, giving Xiu a pleased smile. “I enjoyed hearing you as well!” The reaper looked at the Baku when she turned towards her, since it seemed like she was going to say something to her. “What’s on your mind, Xiu?” She urged, but halted any other question for now as Roch selected his song and started to sing.
The reaper’s foot tapped to the beat of the music, and she couldn’t help but grin very lightly at his song of choice. It wasn’t a mocking grin…more of a knowing one. Way to be expressive through your song of choice, Roch! Hel had a feeling she knew what was up.

The conversation would have to wait. When Roch's song started up, the baku shook her head at Hel--later, she seemed to say--and then turned her attention to Roch. She didn't even have to wait for him to begin before deciding that this would be an impressive performance--she had heard him sing before, and she knew what he was capable of.
And she was right--he was amazing, and it was clear by the expression on her face that she was impressed. That being said, she didn't seem to grasp the meaning of the song. She was as wide-eyed and naive as ever.

That look on Xiu's face. She... had no freakin' clue what he was singing about, did she? He almost laughed, giving up completely as he held out the mic. "And since this is mine, I shouldn't be the one hogging it. Hel?" he offered. "Just no Spice Ghouls. As soon as I figure out how to delete groups off this thing, they're SO gone."

Later? Oh, okay then. Hel gave a nod of her head to show that she understood, and once Roch was done, she gave the punk reaper a hearty round of applause. Oh yay, they could do another one! Hel leapt to her feet, taking Xiu’s good hand and dragged the Baku back up on stage with her. “ Awwww!” Hel whined at Roch. “ You’re getting rid of Spice Ghouls?” She pouted, flipping through the book…when a terrible idea came to mind. Weeeeell…if he was getting rid of them… this would be their last Spice Ghoul performance! The reaper shot a naughty grin at the Baku, and quickly punched in the code for their farewell performance. While that got rolling…Hel even got more into it, and started to dance on the little stage. Hey, it felt really nice to just…cut loose and be silly right now, especially with all the stuff that had went down recently. The reaper urged Xiu to dance with her, bumping her hips lightly against hers once more.

If Xiu could applaud, she would. Instead, she smiled and called out a "Yay Roch!" before she found herself getting pulled onto the stage again. This time, she looked slightly less hesitant than she had the first time Hel had pulled her up there. And when she caught the Valkyrie's grin...
Xiu couldn't help but smile. Why not?
For once--just for this one time only--the baku discarded her discomfort, joining in and dancing with Hel. She really needed this--this feeling of having fun and being carefree--and since this was probably going to be the last Spice Ghoul song in this room ever, they had to make it a memorable one.
Sorry, Roch.

Okay... you know... he might have to keep the Spice Ghouls, he admitted, watching the two dance with wonder and a little smile pulling at his lips at the sight of Xiu so happy. He'd never seen her look like this. And she was comfortable enough around him to relax like this, which...
It was all he could really ask. Even if she wasn't ever going to be his ghoulfriend, she was still his friend. Even if she dated some other guy, right this moment, just for this moment, she was his to watch.
But jack, Mot was missin' out. Hel could DANCE!
