Aleksandr blinked. Yes, he had offered, kind of, to let her ride on his back as he flew. However, he honestly didn't think Asuna would take him up on it. Yes he did want to get there faster. However, flying on his back was the one thing he never, ever let anyone do.
With a sigh mentally, Aleksandr laid down as low as he could go so Asuna did not have to work that hard in climbing up. "If it'll get us there faster, by all means."

She couldn't help but to stare. She carefully got on his back, she didn't want to hurt him. She found a spot behind is shoulders and curled into it. "Tell me if I need to move." She was red in the face. She wasn't afraid of heights, but she never flew on someones back. "Th-Thanks Aleks."

Aleksandr stood up and tested her position on his back. Nope. She wasn't getting in the way of his wings. And he was still able to walk. The daeva didn't look back at the female, for fear she'd see the color change in his face. "You're welcome."
He went to go take off but stopped. "Let me know if you need me to land for any reason." Especially if she felt like she was getting sick. With that, Aleksandr started walking, then running, before taking off.

She nodded slightly. Then realized he wouldn't see it. "I will." When he started to run she braced herself, she curled tightly into herself. Once they were in the air Asuna peeked at the surrounding. "Wow..." She looked at everything... It was amazing. She looked at his wings, his rainbow wings glistened in the sun. Wait... They glistened!? Asuna turned a deeper red and returned to her ball.

Aleksandr veered towards the mountains. At least now that they were in the air, he would be able to see what was in their way. And he did have to agree with Asuna. It would make for faster traveling. His ear flickered briefly in Asuna's direction as she said something. Apparently to do with the area below he guessed. To him it was just another piece of land. It really all looked the same when one was flying.

Now all she had to do was not act foolish around the Daeva. "See how the mountains dip right there? That's where we want to go... there is a cave there. It's pretty hidden so we shouldn't get any unwanted visitors." She pointed out the area to Aleks, proud she remembered the location.

Aleksandr looked around before spotting the said dip. "Got it." Altering his flight course slightly, Aleksandr decided to pick up his pace. If they got there faster, Asuna could get off his back faster. And he honestly didn't know the effects flying had on pregnant foxes, so he didn't want her to be in the air any longer than she had to.
A hidden cave would indeed be the perfect thing for them. And if Aleksandr made it even more unaccesable and invisible...."How is it hidden?" He wanted to know so that he could start planning on how to make it even more impenetrable.

"It's hidden by the valley and other mountains." Asuna tried clinging to something as the speed picked up. "Why?" She huddled closer to his fur, she was sure if she sat up again she's throw of Aleks aerodynamics and get blown away herself.

"So that I may figure out what else may need to possibly be done to make it more invisible." Was it wrong for him to ask how the cave was hidden? And it did give him more ideas on what to look for besides a dip in the mountain.
The mountains loomed over the foxes as Aleksandr neared the dip. He started lowering his altitude, slowing down as well. If the cave was hidden by other mountains as well, he wanted plenty of time to evade them.

"Oh." She only asked out of curiosity. Then something else dawned in her. "It's also hidden by fog." She pointed deep into the valley. "It's right in there. Be careful... there could be a strong wind in there." Asuna thought more. She remembered a small passage that aloud entrance from the ground. She would tell Aleks about that later.

Aleksandr snorted. Strong wind? Riiiiiiight. A tornadoe or hurricane was a strong wind. Anything else he could deal with....if he was on his own. With a soft sigh Aleksandr dropped gradually further towards the ground. If there was indeed a strong wind, he wanted to be closer to a solid surface. He would walk the rest of the way if need be.
And indeed....Asuna wasn't joking about the wind. While it wasn't as strong as a funnel of wind, it did buffet him around some. Grinding his teeth, Aleksandr landed on the ground and folded his wings over Asuna. He blinked and narrowed his eyes, trying to see from the force of wind as well as the misty fog. "Where to?" He called behind him?

Asuna leaned close to his ear. "Straight ahead, then when the wind gets softer head west!" After telling where to go she hunkered back down under his wings. They were so close now, they could do whatever they wished... and when the kits grow, if they wished to... they would go their separate ways. But something in her didn't want that to happen.

Aleksandr put one paw in front of the other, wings folded closely over Asuna, ears back slightly to hear her if she talked again. He glared at the bangs that kept hitting him in the face. He always hated those bangs, just for that reason. Flying or in strong wind, he needed to see. And he couldn't very well do that if they kept blowing this way and that, or into his eyes occasionally.
Finally, after what seemed like forever, the wind started dying down. With a growl of satisfaction, Aleksandr turned west and started walking that way. If there were more obsticles like the wind on the way to the cave...they would be very well isolated and protected. There would be no worries about their parents being a danger to their kits. Asuna and Aleksandr would just have to make sure the kits did not wander too far, he supposed, until they grew.
But after that? What would happen after that? Hnnn...Aleksandr supposed he'd just have to wait and see and take the future one day at a time.

Once Asuna felt the wind die down she crawled off or Alek's back. She sat and looked around. Ah! There it was. She pointed at a grassy mountain face that had a lot of roots and vines dangling. "Right there." Asuna started walking in the direction of the cave, though she was wobbly she could make it. It was only a couple hundred feet away. She smiled at the Daeva. "See it yet?"

What a relief it was now that Asuna was off his back. Aleksandr unfurled his wings to stretch them out a bit after being held so tightly against him. Though it felt...odd with Asuna not on his back. Aleksandr shook his head. It just had to be because she had been on it for awhile. That was it. He'll be back to himself in no time now that she was walking.
The Daeve looked in the direction the female pointed. Seriously....roots and vines? He'd have to be careful not to burn them down. He studied the mountain face more, and made out a spot that was a different color behind the grassy things than the rest of the mountain. "Got it."
