That got her attention sure enough. Tethys half-turned sharply - yes, she did want to break his nose - and focused her black gaze on Orion.
"What?"

Orion glanced over his shoulder with a smirk. "Oh nothing. It just seems that while you were away, Star decided to get a little alone time with the boss man."
He then turned around completely and folded his arms. "And I happened to over hear everything."

She knew it was deliberately vague wording on Orion's part, but Tethys couldn't stop her eyes from widening. It was immediately followed by them narrowing and her mouth thinning with displeasure. She had a lot to be displeased about.
"Where is he."

"My my so demanding," Orion said with his continued smirk. Of course it was deliberate, but he wouldn't allow Star to ruin Tethys' reputation either. This was just like her, but honestly... couldn't she show at least a little appreciation? Oh well.
"They're both in Deimos' quarters. I dunno what happened but he's pinning all the blame on you. Sneaky little b*****d, eh?"

Orion didn't get an answer. At 'Deimos' quar-' there was a red flash, and the commander was leaping on her Starmie and ascending to the ship.

It wasn't until he was done talking, that he opened his eyes and realized Tethys wasn't there. Although he quickly pinpointed her flying off. Lifting a hand to scratch the back of his head, the man sighed as he walked over and picked up the dropped ultra ball.
"Ah well. Can't leave the lady hanging, can we, Dragonite?" Orion asked as he turned to his pokemon, stuffing the ball back in his pocket.
"Barruuu?" The Dragonite asked, tilting his head inquisitively at Orion. He gave the dragon a pat on his muzzle. "Its okay, you'll understand one of these days."
With that, he got back on the dragon and made a beeline back to the ship. This should REALLY be interesting. He wasn't going to miss this.

When Tethys arrived at Deimos' studio she's be able to hear the discussion still going on in the boss's room. Star sounded exasperated.
"Of course I'd know if something like that was dangerous. I'm not telling you she was consulting with me for safety testing, sir. She knew exactly what she was asking for!"
Deimos didn't sound any less confused than he had when Orion was there. "It doesn't sound like she did to me. I think you misunderstood, Star. It happens to all of us."

At this point the door burst open and a very grim-looking commander strode in. If Tethys had been in a better mood, she would have blessed Deimos' basic ignorance of deceit and Star's inborn inability to get to the point. As she wasn't, she made a wordless beeline for Star and grabbed him roughly by the collar.

The moment Star saw Tethys he gasped and scrambled backward. He turned to run and gave a loud "hurk!!" as she snatched the collar of his shirt.
Deimos blinked, "Tethys. I was wondering where you were. ...Is everything alright?" Judging by his curious expression, any anger over the day's earlier events had passed.
"C-commander.." Star was trying desperately to wriggle free of her hold, "We were just having a harmless discussion."

Tethys didn't have the time for the complicated answer to that question, and didn't feel like telling half-truths. Her gaze fell on neither of the two men; it was fixed on a point about a foot in front of her, making the temperature slightly warmer in that region as she twisted Star's shirt up in her fist to keep him from escaping.
"Excuse me, sir," was all she said. Then she dragged the lanky roboticist out, into the hallway like a woman with places to be, things to do, and no intention of anything getting in her way. Star would have to keep up or lose his footing.

Deimos tilted his head, watching the pair leave. "Okay.."
"Gaggh!" Star choked as he was dragged after Tethys by the fabric now tightly gathered around his throat. "Commander please!!" He begged, trying to dig his heels into the floor and stumbling as a result, "Please I can explain!" He grabbed desperately at the passing wall.

Neither Star's pleas or frantic scrabbling did anything to slow Tethys' advance toward down the hall. It seemed if he'd gotten his fingers caught in a door, she would have kept going until they came free or came off.
At the end of the hallway she slung him violently against the wall, stepped forward, and hit him. And hit him. And hit him.

After hitting the wall he tried for a split second to run but was stopped by the first blow. Whether or not Tethys would give him time to speak didn't stop him from trying. The brutal attack came with a steady stream of "Com-" "Plea-" "I-" "No-" each time she pulled back for another punch. He tried several more times to run but only ever made it a few feet. After a certain point he stopped trying to move. He'd been at the receiving end of a lot of punishment from Tethys, but he'd never seen her go into a rage like this. It seemed entirely possible that once he blacked out she'd keep going until he wouldn't wake up again.
Luckily for Star, another voice broke the succession of muffled thuds.
"..Tethys?" It was Deimos' voice over the Commander's communicator. He sounded worried.

It was entirely possible that Tethys didn't hear him. She didn't seem to see him although they were face to face at points. Her arm moved with the same measured frequency as a piston, falling on whatever part of Star presented itself. After he stopped trying to run, it all became the same place.
The crackly little voice at her belt made her fist pause. Then all of her paused, and her eyes regained a certain focus.
Slowly, she looked from the battered man in her grasp to her knuckles. The pale woman relaxed her hand and turned it this way and that, as if she was seeing the blood for the first time.
