Allaxon started at the sound that was so close to him and his head whipped around. Blue eyes scanned the vegetation and he could feel his body tense with adrenaline. He felt like he could walk on air, and the hair stood up on his arms. He rubbed his arms trying to flatten it out as he listened for another noise. He thought that they would probably follow the sound.

T'rel jumped at the sound, and had to make sure Lunath was still beside him before he relaxed. What was that? he asked, stroking the green's soft hide. He didn't seem to want to remove his hand from her. "Do you think that was the creature?" he asked aloud, looking to the group. Maybe they would know what that sound was...
It was terribly frightening, whatever it was.

Neptanth turned his head fast catching His reaction to something down the way. S'kiro called to the others, "Something just moved down this path!" He stepped towards the fog, knowing deep inside it was pretty silly to move without seeing if the rest were following, but he trusted that Neptanth would follow on his heels.
Making sure that His was heard, the blue dragon told Cepheith Mine seen something down this way. He couldn't make out exactly what it was. That is if you and Yours want to join us. He looked at the group and swung his head around towards the other path, like a this way motion.

Relys waited with his wher. The group had stopped and he wasn't sure they were willing to continue. The night was dark and they had no idea what it was they were tracking.

It seemed that something may have been spotted, for the group was on the move again. S'koi could hear S'kiro's shout as they neared-- clearly the bluerider wasn't very interested in stealth, was he. It was rather impossible to sneak up on something with everyone speaking so freely to one another. Well, no one said it was the most organized search group...

Narisamine? Neptanth says that he and His spotted something. They do not know what it was exactly. Should we join them? The gold tilted her head enough so she could watch her bonded. She knew Narisa was slightly (or more than slightly) uncomfortable out here but was being stubborn and wanted to see this through to the end now.
Narisa had heard S'kiro, but Cepheith confirmed what she had hear. Frowning a little, she wasn't sure if splitting up was a good idea or not. But if S'kiro had seen the creature that way...then maybe he was heading down the right path? Or the creature was now coming there way. Either one was a possibility. But which one was she supposed to choose? The sensible side of her said to stick with the group. Yet S'kiro and Neptanth were on their own...
<Cepheith? Tell Neptanth that if they see anything else to tell us and we'll go join them. But let's stay with the group for now.>
The gold nodded once, bumping her snout against Narisa comfortingly before relaying what she'd asked. Narisamine and I shall stay with the group for now. But if you two see anything again, let me know and we shall come and join you. Pausing, she wondered if maybe sending someone else down with Neptanth and his would be wiser, just to be on the safe side. Cepheith really didn't want to see any of them getting hurt by this unknown creature. Asoth, would perhaps you and yours like to join Neptanth and his down the other path? She asked. Hadn't her clutchmate been trying to investigate on his own while sorta sticking close to the group before? If you wish to stay with us, I'm sure there is another that may want to join Neptanth down that way.
Those closet to Narisa with glows may have been able to spot a faint blush form along the girls cheeks. She was not used to having Cepheith step up and make such suggestions, even if they made sense. "M-Maybe someone should pair up with S'kiro...?" Narisa added out loud, not wanting it to seem like her dragon was ordering anyone around.

Asoth pranced in place at the gold's suggestion. "Yes yes! we shall go with Nepanth and His.... we'll find what it is!" announced Asoth to everyone nearby. He kept his verbal excitement to a minimum though, since M'lan had warned him enough times that he'd frighten the creature off with all his bugling and wing flapping.
M'lan smiled at Narisa "I think that's been decided for us Narisa" he said gently, taking note of the faint blush. She'd have to be less embarrased about her dragon giving orders (Asoth having relayed Cepheith's words to him), he suspected that her Gold was one that was good at taking charge, just like Asoth was good at getting attention.

As the majority of the group seemed to be sitting still in the small clearing and debating which way to go, blue Neptanth and S'kiro as well as M'lan and his excited brown made their way down the path to the right chasing the mysterious sighting that the blue and his had spotted.
As they moved further away from the sounds of the group it was easier to distinguish the sound of a stream nearby..and a large splash which could only be caused by something wading through it. The fog and darkness distorted their ability to judge the distance of the sound however but it was obvious..quite obvious that they were on the right trail and it might be unwise to continue without rallying the rest of the group.
((Congrats to Silver for gaining another point!...hold off on rolling until my next post ))

S'kiro turned to look at M'lan as His told them all they would go down the path together. He smiled and was thankful that someone would go with. Tell Cepheith thank you. S'kiro was walking down the path, a little a head of Neptanth, when he heard the splash.
Neptanth relayed the message and agreed to calling to them if something came up. With His stopping suddenly, it took Dune and Sprite chittering at him to pay attention. Asoth, did you or Yours hear that? I can't tell how far away. The blue shifted to put his head near S'kiro and peer out at the fog.
Ishbel chirped at the blue, her eyes swirling yellow. She didn't like this search, but wasn't going to leave the males alone. The bluerider shifted the gold on his shoulder as he turned back. "M'lan, I think we should get the rest over here. I don't know if we will have to cross the water, but it sounded like it." He had to talk a bit louder with the fog muffling his voice some.

Relys had been about to offer thinking no one else wanted to, when another rider spoke up. He grinned at the enthusiastic brown. Staying with the main group was fine with him, and he could always join up later if they truly needed him. Relysk sat down on the path and looked at the people just standing around. If he didn’t have to be walking, then he would be sitting.

M'lan turned his head almost as soon as S'kiro did, his heart beating so fast he could swear it echoed through the whole of the woods. "Shards that sounded big" he breathed, nodding when S'kiro suggested calling the others. "We...should wait right?" he asked.
Asoth bugled loudly, whatever they were following surely knew it was being followed by now if it was trying to escape over water, his bugle calling the other dragons over to their location, assuming that the dragons would call Theirs .. and that they'd relay to the non-riders. He almost started forwards but M'lan threw himself on the brown.
"oh no you don't .. it could be dangerous... i might lose you Asoth... and i can't go between like you could if i got too badly hurt" he murmured to the brown who instantly sank to the ground, every ounce of him wanting to comfort His, he ignored everything about himself that usually craved attention to focus on sending love and apology to His, promising he would try and not be so silly and that he would NEVER leave M'lan all alone.

That little brown is calling, Pipith rumbled, bumping his rider from behind in the proper direction. Let us go see why. I hope he has not found the thing. I want to find it! Although at least it was just a baby brown as his competition; that made it less 'serious.'
When they arrived, Set'al asked, "What's up? Everything okay?"

Allaxon was too spooked by the sound that was close to him that he never noticed the blue and brown travel down the path with their riders. What was out there and could it eat him? He tensed again. Oh, wait, he was hungry. Typical me, he thought.

S'kiro turned as the brown seemed to move even further up, but M'lan stopped him in time. "It would be wise to wait for the others, or at least for more glows." There was no doubt that what ever they were chasing after knew it was being followed. As he stepped to the side to watch behind, he almost jumped as Set'al spoke up.
Laughing at his own jumpiness, S'kiro told him. "There was a loud splash in or near the stream. Neptanth and I can't tell how far away. We want to wait for the rest to join us, before moving on again."
