Hephaistos frowned as things continued on with what Flora whispered. Senshi corrupted by chaos so outside of the Negaverse? Still evil though. Splendid. Evil magical people on top of slightly less magical but still evil weapon carrying people along with monsters.

"But what do we know works?" He said to Ganymede after he spoke to Maia, "We're talking about simply tossing cloth over whats more like a door or a window. They could push cloth aside, push a bookshelf out of the way maybe. Maybe that's enough, has anyone actually tried to block a mirror from letting them in? The ultimate solution is still to break them..." He paused glancing sadly at Chronos. "And I know first hand that such an idea like that won't fly with half the people here." He recalled his suggestions to set a door on fire to kill a chaos beast.

"We need someone who can tell us what will work so we know our options... what ever they are." the last part was followed by a lazy wave of his hand before noticing the fellow Castor talking to Zirconia they might have the solution after all possibly.

Zirconia's ears took on a stiffly pointed but angled position, one that cat owners might've recognized as a sign of volatile agitation and tension. She hadn't encountered Castor before, but once he started speaking, he was not well received.

"There is no crossroad," She snorted. "Cowards fall to Chaos, I learned from my youth. And youth, I would point out, you are still living through, Prince," the snarl dripping around the word was unquestionable. He was no prince of her's. He was a prince of a foreign land in another dimension of existence. He was inconsequential, in her mind. "So I would drop that air of arrogance, you child. I don't appreciate the implication that I would bow to a usurper. A cheap imitation of our queen. My queen, who by the way, sacrificed her life to end the coma epidemic. She died for this world," Zirconia's voice has risen to a volume of rage and passion and hate all mixed into one acidic combination, but no tears made their way to her eyes. She was angry, but she was proud. "She died ending a crisis that came about because your Moon Princess turned to Chaos and stole her crystal, forcing us into this godforsaken world that has taken EVERYTHING from me!" Silence followed, as well as some light, quiet panting. The cat had resorted to screaming, and it had left her winded.

"My loyalties are to Queen Nehelenia," She said when she felt she could speak steadily again. "And I would burn your universe to ash to bring her back. But it wouldn't, so I have no interest in doing so. I stand here for Syclla, and Sirius, Maia and Valhalla, and the others both present and not that I've come to know and appreciate," At the mention of the Blood Moon Court members, she couldn't help but gesture to the branding she wore proudly on her chest, in spite of having resigned from their inner sanctum at Ares' betrayal. "But right now, I don't care to suffer the rest of you any longer," And with that, she turned and made for the exit. She wasn't sure she could hold herself together any longer, and she didn't exactly want to fall apart in front of all those eyes, so she was getting the hell out of there before another outburst happened.

"So, what the guy with the feathers is saying... is that old s**t is more important than people's lives?" Sessrumnir spoke up from the back of the room where he'd been standing and listening to what was going on. Breaking mirrors, not breaking mirrors, he didn't really care what they did. Personally, he wasn't all that into art or interior design, so he didn't care. He understood the idea of preserving history, but to sacrifice lives for it? Ha!

"Wow, you guys really are disorganized," he said, not bothering to keep his voice down. He'd stood and listened to enough of this, and right now he was wondering why he came at all. Obviously they were going to fight this on their won. Or at least the people who thought were the head honchos and he could see a few of them who seemed to think they were. It was nothing like this in the military.

He wasn't sure when Castor and Chronos were going to go off, hand and hand and start frolicking through the fields of mirrors together, but it certainly seemed as though they had a thing going on. Or maybe it was more of a 'my way, or else' vibe he was getting from Castor. Guy with wings and an energy level off the chart, yeah sure. Why not shoot down other people's suggestions, especially those that made sense.

Sessrumnir had caught sight of Pasiphae earlier when she'd been trying to keep the peace, and glanced her way with a wink. There were a couple others he recognized, such as Ganymede, who had requested his aid, and then Ate who had been there when he'd awakened. Camelot, or Gramps, was there as well, but he seemed preoccupied with being old.

"What's the point of this place, anyway?" he asked to anyone willing to answer him. "Is it here to protect people or to set up a pretty little line of senshi and civilians to feed to youma and leave to be corrupted by this Ares chick? It sounds like you're more willing to protect the mirrors than human life, so... why bother calling a meeting to ask for help?"

At least the cat girl could defend herself. Ah! So these must be the guardian cats he was told about. He could have sworn they would have been the fluffy, small kind of cat, though...

...And there it was. Regulus in the incredibly awkward position of agreeing with Castor. There had to be something illegal about being forced to agree with the guy who went fishing in the underwear drawer of your girlfriend, even if said girlfriend was now your ex.

... If there wasn't something illegal, there ought to be. Seriously.

He wasn't sure how he'd feel in Zirconia's shoes, but then again, she was still pointing fingers at a princess who was still absent, and following a queen who'd arrived, flounced around....

And now tried to blame her princess putting people in a coma on a princess who hadn't been present since... since who the hell knew when.

"...Well this just can't get much more fun can it..." He muttered in frustration. Why the hell couldn't the BMC just have an reasonable weakness... like the radioactive remnants of their home-world.That would apparently be easier to deal with than trying to keep them out of mirrors, especially with the implied likely-hood of an inside agent helping them out. That was almost worse... at least with the corrupted you could blame the warping effects of Chaos... if they were using someone who was still technically White Moon...

Well you might as well give up on any attempts to organize, because you'd never be able to trust anyone.

Ganymede rolled his eyes, and then he clasped his hands tightly behind his back to prevent himself from making mocking hand motions in Castor’s general direction.

He didn’t understand what the problem was here at all. The entire debate was ridiculous to him. In his opinion, mirrors vs. innocent human lives seemed a very easy decision to make. Even Zirconia had said to lock them away or break them into smaller pieces, yet everyone looked to her for all the answers instead of scoffing at her. He had to admit, he trusted her word on the subject more than anyone else’s given that she’d been there and she’d once been close to these people, so by all rights she should know best.

Fuming, he glanced over to as many of the Jovians as he could find in a single look, putting particular focus on Valhalla and Europa to read their expressions and figure out what they thought of all this.

He looked to Zirconia again when she started shouting and couldn’t help but smirk just a tiny bit, not because he was at all amused by what she’d gone through—it sounded horrible and he couldn’t say he’d like to experience it himself—but because she seemed like she could give a damned good dressing down when the situation called for it.

Not that he wanted to experience that for himself either, but when it was being directed toward other people, it was a nice thing to watch.

Only Sessrumnir’s voice distracted him from the mix of amusement and anger he was currently experiencing, and he looked toward the page with a grateful smile—both because he’d defended what he’d said, whether he’d meant to or not, and because he’d shown up in the first place. He hadn’t really been all that sure that he would, but he was glad to see him there, even if his attitude was a bit abrasive.

Then again, so was he own.

“Right,” he said, grasping onto what Sessrumnir had said. “I fail to see how breaking a bunch of mirrors to protect innocent people is insulting. You know, I have mirrors on my world, too, a world I happen to like a lot. So much so that if a member of the DMC showed up there one day, I would break every last one of the mirrors there without a second thought, and it wouldn’t pain me at all, because at the moment I care more about the future than continuing to cling to the past.”

Maia couldn't help but to glare at Castor for the way he spoke to Zirconia who, just as everyone else, was here to help. Maia trusted the guardian cat with her life and yes she considered herself as one of Zirc's girls.

She looked to Zirc to see the cat was obviously angry and then the shouting ensued. She thought maybe they would get through without a shouting match, but it seemed they wouldn't. At the mention of her name of course she smiled at Zirc and went over to her putting her hand the cat's shoulder, frowning as the cat made a exit stage left.

She looked up to Castor glaring daggers at him before shaking her head with a sad look, who was he to judge Zirc.

She looked up to the other, another whom she had never seen before and sighed at how very right he was. She wished for a day when they were more organized, more unified. It was one of the things that had been so very appealing about the blood moon court.

"The past is in the past. Leave it there," she said knowing she really ought to follow her own advice, but now was not the time for that. "She is trying to help us and I trust her with my life. She knows about the parallels and she was willing to share, she was sharing."

She looked to Chronos, hoping the other had come to a decision.

Pasiphae caught sight of Ganymede's gaze and held it momentarily before looking away, her mouth set into a firm line as she listened to the latest developments around them. Europa's approval of her position, which would normally comfort the insecure girl, melted away. Even Sessrumnir's wink of acknowledgement, which would normally cause a blush to rise quickly to her cheeck, was accepted with only a small, taut smile to him in return. Zirconia had come and was trying to help, giving out information and trying to support the decision making process... and was now being questioned so harshly? Hadn't she proven her loyalty when she refused to join the DMC--hadn't all the former BMC members who refused to join Ares proven they could once again be trusted? And then, the Guardian Cat was heading for the exit, a potential ally gone and honestly... who could blame her?

"How... how could you?" The words escaped her mouth before the Shame Senshi could stop them, and her wide, marroon eyes were focused squarely on Castor. She paled when she heard them, those words that she had meant to keep to herself, but she didn't take them back. Shuffling somewhat awkwardly, Pasiphae didn't rise, didn't try to make herself look more impressive than she was. But she didn't retract the words, and now that she had begun to voice her opinion, she might as well finish it. Her voice lowered slightly, becoming a hushed tone, "We're all allies... we should be working together to help each other, to support each other... to keep us all safe from Chaos. How are we supposed to save anyone... if we can't even agree on how to stand together? If we're fighting amongst ourselves?"

There were tears in her eyes as she pulled her knees to her chest, and she hated that. Pasiphae was awkward at best in social situations, and crying never made anything better. But to see Castor treat Zirconia so callously... to see the unity that had been slowly, almost painfully forming begin to crack and slip away... she didn't know how else to feel and react. She believed in the Senshi, believed in all of them; she would be the first to admit that she wasn't as experienced as most of those around her. But... was it truly naive of her to think that allies should stand together? That, if called, they couldn't present a united front? The Shame Senshi had always tried to help others, to the best of her limited ability, and everyone she fought beside seemed to feel the same. Yet... now that didn't seem to be the case. Why? Why?

She spoke again, her voice even softer, "I know... I know this is Princess Chronos's home... and we should respect this, try to prevent destruction... but won't things only get worse if we don't decide... something?" Now she was just babbling, and she shrunk inside herself, trying to combat the awkwardness around her.

Hug-bell had heard yelling, there was a frown as she entered the room looking around confused before looking up at Zirconia as she seemed to be heading out the way the senshi of comfort was coming in. Her eyes then shifted to the others. "What's going on? Why is there so much yelling?"

The child was looking around at the rest of the room, it sounded like she heard mention of mirrors and different bits of things. She hadn't caught all of what the adults where saying though. But she'd caught some of what Pasiphae and Maia were saying. "Huh.... are you guys mad at Zirconia?" She looked up at the cat before grabbing her babysitters hand before she left completely leaving the child to watch her walk away.

"What are we deciding anyways?"

Troy Page of Chronos had been quiet, for an unusual change of pace, intently listening to the conversation. He didn't know who this Princess Ares was or what a Dark Mirror Senshi was, but from what he understood - there was trouble coming their way. He had thought that the worst of it was going to be fighting these space creatures, not magical demon girls who can walk through mirrors. This whole 'Knight of Chronos' job description was far more complicated than his job on Earth, and there was a reason he stuck with a simple job. He was one to act first, think later (if at all). Clearly, however, he had a few things to learn from his more experienced allies.

They were a funky looking bunch, the group of them. Some of them had wings, one of them was a cat. Some of them were in armor, and some of them were in skirts. There were a lot of things he needed to learn and understand about the many factions, the many Senshi and Knights, but that would all have to come at a later time. There was a war on the horizon.

"Look, I ain't very 'sperienced when it comes to this whole...magic stuff or nuttin'," he opened his mouth. It had been shut for far too long, and it started to feel unnatural. "But I reckon that if these Dark Mirror folk are as bad and evil as you say, they ain't gonna stop at nuttin' to get here. I dun think we should be tryin' to prevent them from gettin' here. We should be gettin' ready to fight."

Castor picked people's sore spots. Sometimes intentional, sometimes unintentional. This time? Intentional. As Zirconia hiss and spat, Castor's smile was slowly forming. "So then." He leaned back. "I have my answer. Pity she ran off. I would have told her she have more guts then some senshi. Aw well, not the first person I've pissed off." He'd try to make amends later, that was, if he could. He shrugged at Pasiphae. "Easy. I asked. She said her bit then ran off. But now? Now I know. I'd rather be 100% sure then risk it. " Walking over, he squat down next to her. "I don't do it to be cruel, I do it to find answers. Some are just harder to find, and face than others." It wasn't the most conforting, but it was all he could provide.

He looked at the Knight (Sessrumnir) and sighed. "Apparently, you would sooner desiccate things that do not belong to you nor, know the significance of." Hand dragged over his face. "I don't expect a new knight to understand just what it means. After all, I doubt you have to live with the memories of the past, of what you lost. As for just what this place is for-" He motioned to Chronos, "Why don't you wise up and instead of talking out the a** you call a face, ask the one who a long time ago, kept your ancestor's balls safe. You're a GUEST here. As am I. Show at least a shred of respect."

His gaze shifted over to Ganymede. "If it isn't the senshi who would have rather had let his comrades die than fight." He still remembered Elysion. "Strange. You now desire to protect? A day late and a dollar short. Hrmmm. So because you have no qualms about breaking your own legacy, your own past, the last remnants of just who and what you are, that makes it perfectly alright to break some else's possessions?" Castor smiled, but it was not a friendly one. "You didn't impress me in the past kid, you're not impressing me now."

The child that appeared received a scowl of disapproval. His own morals were bit back. He did shrug and state openly. "I am an a*****e, but I was pretty sure people knew that by now." The knew Chronos knight did get a laugh out of him. "That, is much more my style."

"Chaos does that to people." Chronos pointed out. "They corrupt people from our side, warping their beliefs."

"I refuse to break mirrors unless they're our last resort." It was something Princess would adamantly stand by. "This is the Zodiac's home. Our home. Have you been to your homeworlds and seen the destruction upon them? How would you like if if others told you to break the little of what was left of where you once lived?" She directed this towards Valhalla, Ganymede and Europa.

Scylla brought up the point that they had mirrorwalkers on their side, and Chronos nodded towards the eternal Senshi, grateful that she understood.

"You are guests." Chronos said to Ganymede. "And I am grateful that you all have stepped up to help. But I also keep in mind that you are not obliged to help if you want. I am not your Princess after all. But this is where I live and my decisions are final."

Chronos glanced towards Zirconia, bowing her head in respect towards the Guardian Cat. Hearing her answers to their questions was troubling indeed. Were there DMC members among them then? But the stench of Chaos would have be sensed soon enough...

"We could try." She told Castor with a nod. "It certainly sounds plausible." Perhaps they could gather the mirrors and do it all at once.

"I had an alliance with Queen Nehelenia." Chronos spoke, as Zirconia made to leave. "And I will respect that. Please excuse the accusations; Castor was just wary that you may not be standing on our side. I am glad that to know that you do not ally yourself with Ares." Hopefully, the Guardian Cat would hear her words before she left. An ally was an ally, no matter who or what they were.

Chronos glanced at Sessrumnir. "This is the Surrounding. The Zodiacs have fought here for centuries, holding the line, and died in their cause to protect the whole Sol System. If it comes to it, I would do it again in a heartbeat, but this is the duty of the Zodiac Court. I am not asking any of you to sacrifice yourself. I would never ask that of any of you."

"I think so." Flora murmured towards Celsus, with a shrug.

"Oh, will you please be quiet?!" Flora snapped in Ganymede's direction, giving him a death glare. "You think you're all high and mighty and self-giving?! Do you know that the tribulations the Zodiacs have gone through in two lifetimes? You have absolutely no idea what kind of crap they've survived. Fighting Chaos Monsters; exploding building, the Space Cauldron, Barren Pines; the Princess has seen much more than any of you combined. You're just going, oh, yes, I will smash mirrors if need be because I am so generous and awesome and blah blah blah. If you had the authority, perhaps you would do it, but you do not have authority here, so kindly shut. Your. Trap. I will not stand if you insult my Princess, my Court any further." And judging from Castor's words, this guy had rather let comrades die before? Pathetic.

"You are not obliged to help here." Chronos said softly in reiteration, placing a hand on Flora's shoulder. "I make the decisions here."

Again, Ganymede rolled his eyes, as unimpressed by Castor as Castor seemed to be with him.

“Oh, great, so new senshi aren’t allowed to be scared? They’re not allowed time to develop and grow and figure things out? I’ll keep that in mind, oh great one,” he said, lowering himself into a mock bow. “I forgot to whom I was speaking. Forgive me. I will endeavor to keep my opinions to myself next time, since apparently I know nothing and you, majestic one that you are, know everything. Shame on me for finding my feet too late for your liking. Shame on me for being concerned with the lives of innocent people now that I have. Shame on me for opposing you.”

He didn’t know where this guy got off thinking he was so high and mighty, but it was grating on his nerves. Having his failures thrown back into his face wasn’t helping. If people were unwilling to acknowledge how hard he’d been working and the effort he’d put into improving since then, he didn’t know why he was bothering.

“The past isn’t something to cling to. It’s something to learn from. I’ve done that. I’ve been working my a** off to try and protect people since then. Oh, but you haven’t been there for any of that, have you? So I guess you wouldn’t know. I guess you were perfectly content to sit on your a** while a bunch of kids were attacked at camp this summer. Or earlier when there was trouble with a youma at Virgo Outpost. I don’t recall seeing you then. But you think you can come in here now and assert your authority over everyone? Why? Because you’re a prince.”

He laughed derisively. “Please. You’re no prince of mine.”

Chronos's decision didn't please him any better. He frowned and glared and crossed his arms, and remaind decidedly unimpressed through the entirety of her statement.

"I just told you I'd break the mirrors on my world without a second thought. I wouldn't allow the DMC to come in and besmirch all that's left of it and spread their chaos even further, but if that's what you want to do, fine. When they get back in again, I'll be more than happy to say I told you so."

This was getting way out of hand. There were too many people talking and too many ideas and disagreements and--

"Whoa, wait wait, I never said I wanted to break mirrors!" Valhalla corrected, his expression disapproving at Chronos. "I came in here saying to please not break mirrors!" Jeez, what the hell was going on here? Did people just not listen??

And he didn't know who this Castor guy was, but with the way he spoke to Zirconia and then Pasiphae and finally Ganymede... well, that was three of his friends being spoken down to. He had no idea what was going on, but he was getting sick of this holier than thou attitude. People were getting offended by stuff that shouldn't matter at the moment. They should be focusing on the civilians.

"Stop it, everyone!" Valhalla raised his voice, trying to get people to shut up and pay attention. "Fine, mirrors won't be broken, but that doesn't fix the fact that there are youma and members of the DMC getting into the place!" If they were going to have Chronos decide something, then she better decide it fast, otherwise he was going to start trying to do something with the mirrors, himself.

"Princess," he tried, although he wasn't that thrilled about being accused of encouraging the breaking of mirrors when he was trying to protect them. "This is your place, so tell us what to do," he paused for just a moment before adding a very stressed and desperate sounding "Please. People are dying. This isn't time to think about the past. We need to protect who we have now."
PostPosted: Wed Oct 12, 2011 6:42 pm

Hephaistos stepped forward past Flora pointing to Ganymede, Flora, and Castor in turn, "Do not start calling into action what people have and haven't done!" He pointed towards Ganymede first, "I stood beside the Princess earlier when a Chaos monster attacked, I didn't see you helping? So before you jump on someone for not being where you were when something attacked remember that you aren't always there to save the day yourself!"

He pointed next to Castor, "Dollar short day late? I just figured out we have traitors among us, that I have a home planet, and I'm in freaking space. If it's taken him time to grow a pair fine, it took me a while too. Calm down for a damn minute; it's real respectful talking like this around the Princess like that starting a fight."

Finally he turned to Flora and the Princess again, "He stated an opinion, he might be coming across as an a*****e, but so's that fellow back there too." He gestured towards Castor. "We all need to calm the hell down and figure out what we're going to do now. Smashing is out of the question untill the Princess say's otherwise."

Eventually he stepped back nodding towards Valhalla, "He has the right of it. Let the princess decide what we do, and then we do it. If you don't want too. Then go home."

Ganymede stared back at Hephaistos with an "are you serious?" look on his face, not sure what he was talking about or where he was getting his information from. "Um, what? I was helping, thanks very much, if we're still talking about the same one. I was doing what everyone else was doing, throwing rocks and s**t at it and hitting it with whatever I could find, because I'm smart enough not to use my damned useless magic when there's a chance it'll just make the thing more rampant, 'cause there's a pretty good chance that it'll do that. It has before."

Really, he didn't even know what he was doing here anymore. The princess had made her decision and he didn't agree with it. No, he wasn't going to go against it, though he desperately wanted to break a mirror, now that he thought of it, but this was her domain, and while he didn't like her choice, he'd deal with it as best he could.

"So if you're all done jumping on me for daring to have a differing point of view, I think I'll be going now. Maybe cover up some mirrors if I see any, warn the civilians to stay away from them if I come across them."
