Jigun took a long drawn breath as he strolled down the road, his arms were folded comfortably behind his head as his face leaned towards the warmth of the sun. It had been such a long day, and it was going to be a long night with the new mission that he had just acquired, how tedious it would be to have to track and catch six wolves during the mid of the night. Why was it that he had to get such a mission, it would be better suited for that brute, Shung.
Jigun let out the breath and shook his head down, whatever the case he would have to just do the mission as quickly as possible and turn it in. If he showed that it was simple for him they were likely to start giving him something of more presence. But in the mean time he would need to do something to pass the time... it would have been best to take a nap and rest for the long night, but that was just to boring for him, he wanted to do something and do something now, his muscles were anxious for rest.
It was then that he noticed the rough sound of poorly played music, arching a brow he stopped his pace and stared down the road at a nearing figure. "Hey, what did that thing ever do to you? Sounds like you're trying to kill it." Jigun called out snidely as the person came close enough to hear him.

Cruxis hadn't realized his playing was that bad, though the passing boy could very well just have been attempting to start a fight. Cruxis calmly eased into a decrescendo of his tune, and kept his lute's practicing at a mere whisper, before speaking to the caller, whom he was now about five feet away from : "My apologies. I recently recovered from hand injuries, which left my hands in surgical casts for some time... I've been trying to retrain my skills. Somewhat of a self induced physical therapy if you'd like to call it that." The boy was likely of Fire Country, by Cruxis's guess; and Cruxis intended to avoid causing any trouble as an outsider. No need to be added to the bingo book over a roadside squabble, let alone the fact that he was nowhere close to safe territory for a gennin on the road. Circumstances had put him far out, but if he did not mind his tongue, he would be mismarked as a missing-nin before he could say Orochimaru and be in serious trouble then.

"Nice too meet you Isuko". Natsuki said with a smile, as they got into the town, she was moving a little slower then she normally would so as to not loss Isuko, she wasn't used to being with another person, most of the time she was a lone with only Kai following behind her, she smiled a little more as she looked back at him as he mentioned the barbecued meat smell in the air and if they could go there. "Sure that is fine, I don't really care what we get, but Kai really likes meat". She said looking at Kai who was still norring on the bone given to him earlier. It was long until they got to 'The Grill' a small restaurant with a circle of grills in the middle of the shop with sitting around it an outside, it was setup where you walked up to the grill and asked for what you wanted, rather then the other style where you picked from a buffet setup.

Isuko approached the restaurant’s staff, accepting a plate and proper silverware etc. Addressing the server, Isuko said sheepishly “Umm… I can’t see any of them. I really don’t know what to get, and it all smells really good, so … surprise me.”
Isuko turned towards Natsuki. “I love this kind of food. We don’t get it very much in Rain Country, where I’m from.” Turning back towards his plate, Isuko began to devour his food as if he hadn’t eaten in several weeks. Between bites, Isuko continued to speak with Natsuki. “I hate to impose, but do you know of a library or other information center nearby where I could do some research to figure out where I should head to next?”
Natsuki thinks for a moment as she looked over the assortment of meats and vegetables that were on the grills, she had two bowls with her, one for Kai the other for herself, she hmm'd lightly as she handed her bowls over to one of the staff one at a time. "I would like just grilled beef in this one, and in the other I would like the marinated beef with some vegetables". She smiled a little more as she was given her bowls back, with a nod to staff she headed off with Isuko.
She placed the bowl that was just fulled with meat, on the ground for Kai, most food stores in the Fire Country allowed animals, outdoor ones like this one were really good about letting animal eat with they owners, Natsuki smiled a little as she left the bowl for Kai to eat from.
As she got into her own meal she looked back to Isuko as he began to talk on looking for some sort of library of information center, she had to think for a moment on that, she knew the location of both those in the Leaf Village, but this was the capital for the Fire Country, an not the village, she had been here a few time, but truth be told she didn't know much about this place, and only really knew how to get to the market and not really much outside that.
"Sorry I can't really answer that, if this was the village I could help you out, but this is the capital an not the village, I only really know the way to the market, I have never exploded the town very much outside of that". She said before digging into her food again, Kai was eating his beef bowl happily.

Haikyo had taken a bit of time making his way through the village. Sure, he had learned a bit of his way around during his rampages through the place yesterday, catching cats and being mutilated by scroll-stealing criminals, but he hadn't learned everything about the place yet. This particular area was new to him as well--so it had taken a bit of direction from the locals on how to get there, though a lot of people seemed rather hesitant to even talk about it to him, as he was such a young ninja. However, when he was finally able to get a straight answer out of some villagers, he found that the trip was actually quite the long passage. To get to the Forest of Death, one had to endure a four hour trip to the location, though from what he heard, it was exactly the kind of place he was looking for. A place out of the way--secluded, so he would not be disturbed by prying eyes. He wanted to practice his clan's secrets alone. He needed to develop his own style, and he needed to really dive deep down into his own soul...to learn from himself, as his father had before him, and his before that. His soul held the answers of what he would become...how he would learn to materialize the jutsu that soul resonated with.
As he set out, he walked through the village gates, turning to observe his new home. The faces of past hokages loomed above him like judges at trial. He had something he had to complete--do it or leave this place forever. Find strength, find yourself, or be defeated by your own inability. He clutched his hands into fists, bowing slightly in respect as he left, before moving on his way toward the forest of death. It was a hell of a walk to get there...no use wasting any more time, the morning light was burning away.

Sucking in a big breath, Sai let it out in a heavy sigh. It had been walking for a long hour since the battle and he could still feel the effects of it on his body. The monk's healing had only done so much. For the most part it was really only for show, if too much pressure were to be placed on his bones they would shatter once again. Perhaps it was too rash to have just left in the way he had. "Tch." Spitting to the side, he continued his shuffling limp down the road before finally stopping and falling back to sit with a audible thump.
Stretching his legs out before him and laying back against the grass that reached out along the side of the road, Sai gazed up to the bright sky above. His thoughts went back to the monk and the drunk. The monk had proven to be helpful if for only his protective jutsu. If it wasn't for it he'd likely be dead and for that he was thankful, but if he could help it he hoped he would never see them again. What he needed now was to figure out what exactly were his current limits. Taking in another deep breath, he closed his eyes. Holding the breath to his chest he allowed it fill his chest and focused on the feeling of his lungs stretching. Letting it out slowly he imagined a flow of energy spreading throughout his body, filling his veins and surging with his blood to every muscle. Within moments he felt his strength return to him. Sitting up, he reached to feel his shins. They were still sore but they felt solid and strong again. 'At least that's still..' His thoughts trailed away as he watched someone approach from the distance.

Haikyo brooded on his current predicament as he walked, thinking about what it was he would do--how he would train himself, and in which direction he would try to bring his fighting style. He knew only his martial arts...he was learning, sure, on how to manipulate his soul energy--but at the end of the day, all he really knew was how to fight. He didn't know how to make it fancy, or how to use flashy skills. But, at the end of the day--if he used his strengths properly--maybe he wouldn't need to worry about anything else. He just had to focus on making the martial arts he already knew more deadly. And if he had learned anything over the course of his first day of being a ninja, it was the fact that his soul skin was going to need some incredible improvement if it were to be useful. He couldn't rely on something to defend for him...sure it worked that one time...but he needed something he could make work every time. He bit his lip, taking it slow as he went. Knowing that it would both give him more time to ruminate on what he wanted to do with himself, and give himself the slow pace that let his body stop screaming at him. It didn't matter if someone pieced your body back together--pain was still there. Just because you looked fine absolutely did not mean you felt it.
Hell, he could say the same for the man who was laying in the grass not far from where he was. A pained expression seemed to flit across his face, but by the time that he had taken a deep breath, his body seemed to shed a lot of the weight it was carrying. The man's soul was strong--old, even. It was experienced, to say the very least...though strange in a way. It was stagnant...slow and without change...as if trapped. Haikyo wondered to himself what kind of life this man had lived. It wasn't until Sai lifted his head, sitting up to massage his shins, and he met eyes with the man as he approached, down the road. Haikyo immediately recognized him as the man he had passed, meeting eyes only briefly before, outside the ninja academy. Haikyo nodded towards him as he approached, trying to be polite, as he had already seen the man, and knew that the man had seen him. "It would seem we stumble into each other once more. It looks to me that your day yesterday was about as good as my own." He stated, his features hard and rigid. He did not have the same comfortable relation as he had with Juugou with this man. Haikyos' demeanor was not often as relaxed as he had been with the younger genin. He did not laugh, but he said the second sentence with a dry sarcasm one could mistake for humor.

Through veiled eyes Sai watched the boy approach. Nodding in return, he grunted in response to the boy's words. "Seeing as we're both alive, we both had very good days." Leaning forward he let his arms rest on his knees and dropped his head to lay against his crossed forearms. Memories of past battles would flicker in his mind. Moments when he thought he was going to die, moments when he was supposed to die and others did instead... the image of an enraged, one-armed man stabbing a sword through his chest as ice encased him. In the hidden space made by his arms, Sai grit his teeth and glared at the ground beneath him.
Time would pass unnoticed to the man as he relived his memories. The silence would draw on without him so much as moving until the boy himself decided to move. Drawing his attention away from his past, Sai lifted his head from his arms and rolled his shoulders causing an audible pop. "Sit with me. There'll be coming a cart soon, I plan to buy passage. It should be able to take you where ever you're going and your body looks like it needs rest." Twisting his neck to pop the joints, he nodded to the ground beside him. "Don't push your body to hard, sit down. What's your name?"

As the man had returned his nod, Haikyo knew that he, too, had recognized him as somewhat familiar. The man doubled over shortly after, laying his arms across his knees and allowing himself to rest his head upon them. He seemed tired--weary, though not just from physical exertion. This man had gone through things, to be sure...had been weighted down by them over time. It was surprising to see a man so young have so much weight on his shoulders. Either way, the brief moments of silence passed on, and as Haikyo was about to continue his journey--imaging the man wanted his own space for whatever reasons he may have--Haikyo didn't judge a man on his preference of company. But, as he was about to move, the man lazily lifted his head, rolling his shoulders with an audible popping that made Haikyo cringe. "I suppose I can't really argue your logic there, as much as it dampens my ability to complain." He had never been in an honest fight before...he had not been prepared for the pain it brought with it, though he had held it inside himself for the most part--trying to remain strong in front of Juugou.
The man made him an offer--letting him know that there would be a cart that could take him where he wanted to go, and that he should not push himself too hard. The kindliness of the man seemed strange, though not off-putting. They had not spared each other a passing word as they had seen each other at the registrar's office, and yet here he was, offering him a seat beside him and idle chatter. He accepted, however cautious he felt--there was something that had bothered him about this man since the moment he had met him--that brief second at the office. He sat down beside him and took a deep breath as he listened to the ambiance of the nature around them. The man had asked him what his name was, and he immediately felt a tightness in his gut. The Shadow Veil knew who he was...they knew his heritage, they knew it all. That's another reason he had agreed to live alone--in case his family was put in danger by those people. Hell, this man could be associated with them, and he would never know. He cleared his throat, breathing a sigh. "My name is Haikyo. I've just recently moved here, to your country. Might I ask yours?" He shuffled as he sat, not very good at withholding his own thoughts. "And if you don't mind me asking...before the day at the registrar's office...when I first saw you. Had we ever met?" Even Haikyo looked confused as he asked, but he couldn't help himself. There was something...this man's presence, his energy...it made his back itch.

If Sai noticed the discomfort of the boy sitting beside him, he made no indication of it. Blinking slowly, he let his eyes gaze onto the road in the distance. It was a warm day. A strong breeze was passing through and the woods let out a moan of complaint as they shook against each other. "Hm.." Sai glanced towards the boy, clicking his tongue in the back of his mouth as he listened. "No. I don't believe we have ever met before." He watched the boy for a moment, measuring him up as he did. There was something familiar about the boy but he couldn't tell what exactly it was. He didn't recognize him, he had a distinctive look to him with his strong facial features. Not a face you forget. But he could say with utmost certainty that the first time he met the boy was the other day at the registrar office.
It was just a gut feeling.
Letting silence lapse yet again, Sai watched the road. "Looks like the cart is coming. Have your money ready, they don't like to dally." Sai noted some time later. Grunting he lurched himself up to his feet. Patting the dirt from his clothes he looked towards the distance where the dark dot was rapidly approaching. Turning back to the boy dark chocolate eyes met bright blue ones. With hand extended out to help the boy up, Sai grinned for the first time. "Sai Orasakai."

Haikyo listened to the man speak of the plan. They would need some sort of leave of absence to be allowed to travel outside of their village. Haikyo remembered Juugou saying something about that before. He wondered how the kid would be doing. He was excited to see the younger shinobi once again, so he could train with the boy and do more missions alongside him. As Sai stared at the few things littered across the ground that he had deemed worth keeping, he mentioned that Haikyo still looked rather spry, even though they had been fighting like they had. Haikyo's body ached from the inside, as if his marrow was on fire. He felt like each step was a pulse--a shockwave that rocked through his body. But...he was not completely incapacitated by it. He merely had to fight through it as he went along. He still didn't understand what had been done to him by his enemy...or ally...or whatever. When Haikyo had been hit in the back like that...he had to find out what it meant. He could feel his chakra slowly restoring. It wasn't by much, but he had been completely drained of it before--so even the small amount that he felt coursing through his system was a welcome showing that his body was healing itself.
Sai smiled at him as he nodded toward the gear on the ground, and he asked him if he would carry it for him. For this 'old turd' as he put it. Haikyo almost laughed at that, snickering silently at the man's jest, and returning a nod to him as he bundled the goods up in his arms and prepared to carry them off. Haikyo's body was still lain bare at this point--having only his lower half of the robes he had been wearing, leaving it looking like a sort of skirt than anything. His body had some bruises, and the back of his leg cut, sure, but nothing was too dangerous. His face was slightly swollen on one side from having been punched by Raijin, but he was, over-all, feeling much better now that he was breathing, and the Chakra Organ that he was unaware of was slowly mending...meaning that he was experiencing less and less of the constant agony--making it much easier to bear.
He held tight to the goods he was carrying, and he looked over to Sai as they walked, the man's hunched over old man impersonation eliciting a shake of Haikyo's head. The man was more of a child than Haikyo was, and he acted as if he were some decrepit old man. He just liked to take advantage of the fact that he was old in age, even though he had the body of a damn twenty year old. "Alright. So, are we stuck walking it all the way back this time? Wish that wagon had been around for this leg of the journey, and not the first one." He said with an exasperated sigh. This was going to be a hell of a walk.

"Meh..." Kaito muttered some words under his breath as he excited the walls of his village. In just the few weeks that he'd returned to this village he'd grown tired of it. Although being both born and raised her, this place was no longer his home. One might ask why he'd return to such a place while dreading it so much, to make a long answer short, Kaito had a mission he needed to finish. His mission was a simple task while having some complicated terms; figure out if Sai Orasakai of the leaf village was the real Sai Orasakai. The main objective was just simply that, nothing more. His story was good and believable, after years of traveling the shinobi world he'd returned to his family to become a ninja for the infamous Village Hidden in the Leaves. Besides, nobody would expect a drunken fool to actually be a spy, right?
This far into the mission however, tracking Sai was becoming more of a headache each day. The man was mysterious and basically a huge d**k all the time, wasn't exactly easy to communicate with the guy either. He'd now decided to try and locate his 'teammate' and see if he could discover any real evidence of him being the real Sai Orasakai.
His first stop would be the mission site from a few hours prior. Sai, the monk, and himself had a crash course into the side of the village walls and Sai left down a side road away from the village. Tracking people down was a boring and non exciting task but unfortunately today he'd be doing just that. The boy began to follow down the same path as Sai, leading him further away from the village. This path he followed went seemingly nowhere, until he eventually would come across a bench where a caravan would stop. "Hrm... He must have came through here. There really isn't anywhere else he could have went... " Kaito mumbled these words aloud once again, surely only loud enough for him to hear.
The bench was small and wooden, and was only inhabited by one other man. Kaito smiled upon approaching the stranger before sitting on the bench. The genin would lean back against the bench and throw his right foot up on his left leg in a comfortable resting position. "Nice day out, right?" Making small talk with the stranger as he awaited the arrival of the cart. The two wouldn't be waiting too very long as the cart would arrive just a few mere minutes later. Kaito hopped up, pulling money from his pocket and approaching the man who was driving the cart. "Hey how's it going? I think my brother came through here earlier, pinked haired guy, have you seen em?..."

Kaito had decided to make it a priority to hustle following the trail of footprints leading from the dead bodies in the forest of death. He felt as though he was so close in finishing his mission, he surely would be able to return home to his village in no time. Sai and whomever he was with had just finished battle and surely weren't moving very quickly. This gave him the opportunity to catch up with them, and fortunately enough the duo wasn't very far ahead of him in the first place. Just ahead of him, were the two men Kaito was looking for. Both of them looked fairly beaten and torn up, obviously from fighting the two dead people he'd found just minutes earlier. The boy knelt down from behind a tree and quickly yet quietly made his way towards the two. "Need to hear what they're talking about, gotta get closer." His movements were cautious making sure to not even make the slightest noise, he didn't want to alarm the two he was nearby just yet. Kaito would move as close as possibly, listening in on their conversations, hopefully hearing something that confirms his villages suspicions that Sai Orasakai was certainly alive.
Sai chuckled softly, nodding his head. "Yeah... that'd definitely be nice, wouldn't it?"
The sun was beating down on the pair's bare backs as they trudged down the long path that left the forest and winded its way along the countryside. With the forest looming behind them, only the open canvas of the country awaited them. The hills rolled out before them, lush with vegetation. It would be a long walk indeed before they reached the next forest, let alone any nearby villages.
"So tell me about yourself, kiddo. What motivates you?" The man asked. For a moment he pauses, his eyes scanning the forest behind them. "What aspirations do you have for life?" Smiling he turns to face Haikyo again, gingerly walking alongside him.
