Misty L Lake As I was laying about today *stupid back tremors stare * I was thinking about HOLLY's first posts. I was thinking of the very first post being a comic book/ manga style intro bringing in the space ship and introducing the crashed ship and that they're bringing the stranded passengers on board. Quote: Hey there wonderful passengers! Thank you once again for choosing Relaxar Gallatica for all of your space cruise needs! heart I've been informed by our lovely captain that a ship crashed nearby and we have just enough space on our ship to help them out! Please welcome them on board! Quote: Welcome on board stranded people of various species! We're so happy to accommodate you for the rest of your trip! Since you're here, you might as well know a few important people! OK!!? First there's our captian: (info blurb here) Our co captain: (another blurb) Oh! oh! and he managed to get himself a girl friend~ I thought it would never happen: (Liette's blurb) Since I'm introducing her you might as well know (relative blurb) What? the rest of her family? tch, you don't need to know them~ And of course, if you have any questions about your ill fated cruise, talk to people from your ship like (Viola/Cesario blurb) If there are any super-duper important things you totally need to know, I'll come and tell you! The rest of the time I'm a little busy helping the captain keep the ship going at hyperspeed so I won't talk to you! but that doesn't mean I love you in a platonic non-cyber-creepy way! I really like this idea of a comic. It seems fun actually! Last year, I had the posts in the Lust room set up Intro-Hosts-Contests etc. So we'll definitely have a lot of room to play with HOLLY and her "personality" and how she introduces things. *also, how would you feel about a Chatango meeting of Friday? We need to take the official ball plot and edit our room plot a bit, and I'd like to get the feedback from everyone before you and I go at it.

If it makes it easier, you're at the earliest end of the spectrum (MST, right?), and I'm the farthest (AST, which would mean we're 3 hours apart), and everyone else is EST. I generally default between 7 to 9 pm EST because most people are available in the evening (for you it's 5-7pm, and for me it's 8-10pm). Just basic math and a general idea of common schedules really.

I figure she could be assigning tasks to the evil of the Captain (though without ever actually mentioning the Captain). We need the dream world to be falling apart, not necessarily in a literal way, but this is one I may discuss with broken as to what she expects for this. We also need to incorporate a hall of mirrors, which could just be a room, and decide what events would restore it.

They may be nightmares or good dreams, she just makes sure the dream works from a distance. Now that they're not working much, she'll probably try to help lead the dreamers in the right direction, but remain relatively neutral to the actual outcome of the dream, so long as the tasks are complete. We should be able to jump in with her when we feel like it's necessary to drive the dreamers in the right direction (so if things are happening that our characters wouldn't be aware of). I do think mirrors through out a ball room is nice, but at the same time, since scifi dreams encompass a huge range, I think it should be something you could see making sense in a variety of dreams. Maybe like a room of computers (the screens would be like "mirrors") or holograms. Have you ever played Assassin's Creed II? The loading screen there would also make for an interesting mirror area (we could say the room leads to something looking like a "glitch" in the world) I mean, it's impossible to be completely universal (not all sci fi is tech related; some is biology like zombies and stuff), but I think we need it to fit a range. Oh god, I'm ranting. Gotta stop doing that.

It kind of fits in with the theme, and makes it so people can come it without out characters going 0.o "where'd you come from?" since most everything will probably happen in the ballroom, I think. Of course, dreams do that all the time. Have you ever had dreams where something entirely unrelated to your present dream (which is probably already a bit strange) and you just accept it as truth? Like dreaming about being a bunny hopping with other bunnies in the grass, and then all of the sudden you also have Spiderman powers. But yeah, it could just be a "glitch" room where you enter, it's empty, except for mirrors leading to other dreams and such. Yes, there will probably be a lot of action in the ball room (or whatever we set up as the main room, so it could be a lounge, the upper deck, etc, etc). But if we set up a general structure, that can be fun too. Like how in the lust room there was a garden and a library and a dining hall cooking area. Yeah... I can see a "park" an upper deck/event room, dinning hall... the various things on a cruise.
