Extremist-Saint-Joey Jarel Damone Extremist-Saint-Joey Jarel Damone Extremist-Saint-Joey I think if our wrestling RPs were to be translated to a game, it might have to follow a book-to-film style makeover: some things would have to be simplified, some things changed slightly, but still remaining faithful to the overall narrative. So as far as Kal and other unlikeables are concerned, who do little in the way of actually being important, think Tom Bombadil in Lord Of The Rings.
On a side note, I think that making the game focus on one guild might take away from an important part of RPing. I mean, each guild seems to have "golden ages" and then dies. For example, Twisted Flow was once a great guild (or so I hear) and now it's deader than disco. Same for EEW. Not to mention the rise of EWA. I think the game should reflect these changes.
Just a few ideas thrown out there for the sake of discussion razz hmm, so why not make seperate games for each golden era, or maybe put two or three seperate feds together in one. so like when wwe brought in ECW, perhaps do one game with the golden age of EEW, WWFG, and XCW, then one for EWA, WWE:E and CWL or some other small guild. another with say WWE:E, GWF, and PAW, etc Downloadable content? xd Why not just include them all in the same game, as seperate story modes? because the storylines from any combination of those three alone could be like overload for one game. think about it. we all have come up with some epic s**t in these guilds True, I suppose. But hey. It's all hypothetical, so say we hypothetically had alot of disc space or something, we could have a "Road to Wrestlemania"-esque mode where you play through some of the biggest rivalries/stories etc., some generic "what if" modes where you can play as say, The Marines or Kid Omega or something in a brand new exclusive game-only storyline, or a mode where you play through as a CAW which loosely follows the rise and fall of numerous guilds in rough chronological order to how they've happened. Just a few more ideas for the pot.i suppose making it more like a fighting game would be easiest. that way the individual storylines can be played through and people that are part of those storylines, but perhaps not needed to be in the game, can be fought against, but never made playable characters or something

Or it can be a game compilation. Lets say if theres a arcade type wrestling game with 10 wrestlers for each guild. Lets say for now EEW,EWA,WWE:E, and WWFG. There can be 10 Big impact wrestlers from each guild. which could get more people in because some of the big names in our community were big in multiple guilds. There could be 5 sections of the game.
4 story modes One of them for each guild. It can go through as you pick a wrestler and fight through the others like a tournament. Each one can have its own twist and what not. But then the 5th mode could be like a vs. mode of sorts where you can pick any of those 40 wrestlers. And it could fit on all one disc. And could match the title, Legends of Gaia wrestling (or whatever the name was)
Now of course because its like multiple games together and arcade based there would be cut backs. of course stuff like graphics and customize option. But it would be a cool, retro fun play to it. Also it would put a good amount of wrestlers in there. And you could get into the guilds storyline based off gild and see the big wrestlers of each guild. and be easier distinguishable through each.

not a bad idea blade, but how do you narrow each guild down. if we go by biggest impact players, my biggest impact for Jarel is in EEW, followed by WWFG. Chrono's could be argued as both EEW and EWA. Landry's biggest storylines were in EEW, WWE:E and WWFG, i could go on, but you get the idea. how would you narrow it down so the same character wouldn't be used over and over?

It would be a multitude of things combine. For example Chrono. Chrono has had been story lines and accomplishments in all of those guilds. But then you had have to take overall impact of the feds. And the fact that he is the owner of EWA, he would fold to EWA.
So that would make Nuke be WWE:E,Cartwright be EEW,Jed be WWFG, and Chrono EWA.
Now For Landry lets use him. Before I go any further, I don't know alot about the history, and I know nothing about EEW. But continuing. He has had some big storylines in both WWE:E and WWFG. And there great and he has been champions. But you would think impact wise, the titles, and how memorable were the storylines. Plus activity in the guild, how long he was in a guild and if it was still impossible we could just go down to asking. But in my opinion I would put him on WWFG roster.
Now it is kind of complicated, but I thought of this method that way instead of having big names we think of right away and a lot of story lines with similar people, we could get more people in to the game. And maybe shine some light on great but less memorable people in some guilds.

Neo-Blade8 Cartwright Neo-Blade8 Cartwright Neo-Blade8 Actually something that might just aadd to the conversation. I have recently(6 weeks ago) just started a game programming class and learning how ot program and code games in python. Its a basic program and at most probably going to get simple 2d games, but thats not saying I couldn't over time build up something like the old arcade style game with only up to 6 characters. But I am getting slowly better, currently we got things moving and making one of those dodge block games, and I learned how ot add sound. Now if I was ot make a game it owuld take months and months for the fact that I ma still learning. But possibly in a year or two I will try to make a g-fed game, ofcourse there is only going to be up to 6 poeple but its better then nothing. Practice using UDK. You can thank me later. I actually have but thats mor eof a game design program then scripiting and making from scratch. I don't own UDK but my friend has it (he said he spent over a thousand dollars) and it is fun but I want to work up to it, I want to know the basics before I jump straight to stuff that advance. $1,000 on UDK?! It's free! http://www.udk.com/UDK has scripting too that you could have a go with, I'm not very good at it! xd Quote: hmm, so why not make separate games for each golden era How big is this hypothetical budget again? razz Really, I'm dowloading this now. I don't know what he paid for. He said he had to pay for UDK. But he also went to this camp that taught him how to use it, and he has been showing me slowly. But I still like the old arcade type game Idea. Even if he bought the Unreal Engine 3 or something, which is what UDK pretty much is, it shouldn't cost $1,000. UT3 is a cheap game now which the engine comes with. Maybe the $1,000 was for the training....which seems crazy when you can find loads of tutorials online for free. EEW was the best fed ever by the way. wink

Russo books better! Russo>Chron. No sir, EEW went downhill after I left. The reason it became rubbish is because you decided to have a PPV last for 6 months, because you decided 'Well chaps, all the other matches are over but Marxx vs Bain, oh don't worry about them showing a history of inactivity, they'll finish their matches eventually..." Or could it be that said inactive person had 4 titles spread across 4 different characters who was also a crew member. Chrono seems to remember that while he ran EEW it was at an all time high for activity, and people had their fair chances at titles, then again this coming from the guild that had champions for over a year despite them being inactive.. Isn't that happening now.. Yeah, oh and EEW is putting inactive people in the title picture.. Hmmm this sounds so familiar.. Didn't.. Didn't you guys try that already, you know before I took over and after.. Didn't quite work out so well.. Yeaaaaaah, your logic can suck it Cart, then again I'm sure you're used to Sucking it. But go ahead and come back, and I'll serve you a heaping helping of humble pie again.
