The Vampire loomed over the town from a dark spot in the forest. Elizabeth yawned silently from behind him, but didn't say anything. No surprise; she had been silent since she returned from the grave. She never spoke to him. She must've hated him. "Elizabeth, there are a lot of people here. I've been thirsty from all of the wandering. Can you help me?" He pondered into her eyes, and she replied with a simple shake of her head. Just once. "Thank you, Your Grace."

(And so continues my series of shitty, format-less posts.)

The vampire had felt this coming for a while, now; he was quite perceptive, and mages were skilled at detecting the field around them. He could feel Velox's energy pulsating, and it felt hungry. Angry. It was so primal that he enjoyed the feeling, and so he didn't bother to run away. Things were finally getting interesting, so he had to take the opportunity. It'd been a long while since he'd felt "hunted". "Elizabeth..." he whispered to his summoned Queen. "Bats and cats beat angry dogs. Let's not screw up, alright? It might be very unpleasant for me if we do." He didn't feel like dying, and the chances of that weren't all too slim, with this sort of opponent. Someone with experience, and power. Azrael was master in name, but he'd slacked off on his training big-time, and he'd be depending on Elizabeth to pick up his pieces. Luckily, she was one of the most powerful of warriors to ever come about. The girl used the Cheshire Smile, so that in a few minutes she could fight from the absolute shadows.

Azrael, on the other hand, activated Dreadmist. With his energy sensing, he'd be better off than Velox in this scenario. Elizabeth would be even better off than both of them, with her Omniscience ability, which she activated right after the mist rolled in. As a simple tester move, an extremely fast, extremely lethal chain flung forward at Velox, giving him a short frame of time to react. If he could even detect it. During this time, Azrael prepared the Last Shadow, in case he'd need it for defensive or offensive purposes at a later time.

Elizabeth used: Cheshire Smile, Omniscience)

Elizabeth was like, lol, this noob. Her omniscience -- gained by pride -- alerted her of just what exactly was up, and since she was a ninja, she knew these techniques very well. Using Pride's access to mage abilities, she brought Azrael about a hundred fifty feet away using dimension door, along with her. They were now near the edge of the Dreadmist, but since they'd moved from their location, it was unlikely that Velox would be able to find them. The homing shuriken -- she knew that'd be sort of a pain, but she had some spells that didn't require her to motion in order to successfully chain off, so she could deflect them when the time came. Azrael knew these abilities as well. Elizabeth, using Velox's temporary paralysis as an opportunity, used Lightning Barrage, an extremely powerful attack. Just having to command the lightning hurt Elizabeth's body, and she'd be paralyzed for a few moments, but right around the time she was done being stunned anyway.

What happened after she released the ability was -- simply put -- three split-second lightning strikes descending down onto Velox, quite literally almost impossible to dodge or perceive, especially with his short time frame of immobility. Elizabeth didn't play -- her intent really was to turn him to dust.

All they had to do was fight fire with fire. Fight all of Velox's mobility skills, and his energy-seeking, with their own. Azrael had a similar level of detection, and so he knew when Velox was coming, as well as how to avoid him. The mage used a very simple, very cost efficient ability: blink. He disappeared for a moment, and then re-appeared about fifty feet off, pulling Elizabeth with him using Ascio. She peaced out, and everything was pretty simple from that point. Velox really didn't have many reliable ways of attacking these two, even though they were stunned. "You can't underestimate me, Velox," he grinned. From beside him, Elizabeth used Energy Drain, restoring about four-hundred fifty energy, and spending two-hundred fifty, leaving her with a gain of two-hundred. She could use that every so often. It was obvious that they could outspend him in energy. In fact, it was so easy for them that Azrael was fairly positive that he could literally just use Blink for the rest of the fight (along with Elizabeth) and they'd win. Almost out of nowhere, the vampire began to laugh at the werewolf. He mocked for him to try again. "I pity you and all of those who serve you. Even when our bodies are frozen... we can't get scratched from the likes of you." Elizabeth placed her hand against Azrael, and used Energy Leech, taking 100 of his energy and bringing it into her body. She was almost back to full, at this point. The stun on them was quickly beginning to wear off, and she could feel her muscles again. Using omniscience, she ascertained the location of the real Velox, and began to focus on him, exerting her energy outwards. It would barely be noticeable that she was preparing something, but if he could see her energy, he'd see a slight change.

Velox couldn't fool Elizabeth's omniscience, or Azrael's energy sensing. They were far too precise to miss the 'minor detail' of the shuriken being wrapped up by all of that energy. They were made aware of this energy the moment it began to cover them, and they made a great effort to avoid it. Elizabeth needed to do no more than run. The technique she had been charging up was ready, and since Velox did not move, he literally had no way of stopping it. Elizabeth activated the Forecage, the ten-feet width version that would completely lock them inside, acting as an immensely powerful protective barrier. This would cost a lot of energy, but it didn't matter. She'd already won, really. As she looked at Velox, her eyesight would be enveloped with a massive explosion that would annihilate his body, swallowing it up in its entirety. As she looked at Velox, Azrael spoke. "You've been rigged to explode, Velox. If I wanted to, I could smash you to pieces. But why bother?" He stepped over to the edge of the cage, and stared at the werewolf from outside; who would not be able to penetrate these walls, and who would not be able to do anything to prevent himself from dying. He needed to surrender. "Try to run, and you won't get very far before your limbs are splashing against the floor. Try to attack me, and the same outcome will follow. Why don't you just relax? Let's talk a little; we can talk about all of our differences, and smash them instead of each other. Wouldn't that be nice?" He didn't need to bargain; he could just kill him. It just seemed so much more useful to his agenda.
