If Lattice had been looking at Herryk's face she might have noticed a completely puzzled expression. It wasn't until she recited a haiku to him that Herryk vaguely understood what she meant by five - seven - five.

"Herryk sees." He chuckled at her final comment, shaking his head.

"Herryk has never dealt with such... cultured topics before. This is new to Herryk, and he appreciates Lattice teaching him." He'd never met anyone who would be so patient as to spend all this time with him teaching him many new things. The fact that Lattice was, well, it touched the draugr deeply.

Lattice giggled slightly not at his lack of knowledge but simply that she was delighted in teaching him something new, "I am happy to teach you," she said in a tone that sounded sincere. She moved to take his hand again gently pulling at him, "I shall pay and we can go unless there is something else you want?"

The Engraver wasn't honestly in any real rush to part ways with him and so if he needed a little extra time to look around she didn't mind.

"No, Herryk does not think that he is going to make purchases here." While he did want to go back to the ink store to make a few purchases for Lattice, he wasn't going to do it while she was with him. It would be a sort of a surprise for her.

He patiently waited while the Engraver made her purchases, taking her up hand again once she was finished before escorting her out of the maul.

"To Herryk's dorm, then? So Lattice can leave a dab of ink behind?"

The ghoul nodded at his response and then went about making her purchase. It was efficient and as soon as she was done she nodded a bit to Herryk, "Yes. I am ready to mark your door."

Walking back to Amityville Academy would yield nothing too exciting. Herryk didn't suddenly turn into a phoenix and no one grew spontaneous beards and there certainly were no bombs going off anywhere muchless car chases and if all of that did happen the walk would have been infinitely more interesting. Despite nothing interesting happening during the walk, however, Lattice enjoyed the company and only made idle small talk on the way to the Undead Dorm.

When at the appropriate dorms Lattice let Herryk lead the way to his door.

Herryk opened the front door of the reaper dorms, scooting to the side so that Lattice could pass before him. Once she'd made it through, Herryk placed a friendly, guiding hand at the base of Lattice's back.

"It is not hard to find." He moved the engraver closer to the wall so that she could stretch out a hand as kind of a starting point. "If Lattice follows this wall," Herryk trailed off until they drew closer to the corner where the hallway split into a T, "and now just follow to the left. Herryk's dorm is five doors down." He counted the doors they passed aloud, stopping when they reached his door.

"Here we are!" Herryk beamed at the engraver.

Lattice quietly took the instruction offered to her and she simply counted the doors as he stated the directions to her once they were in front of his door she paused and dug out the vial of ink that Herryk had stated he favored and opened it. She didn't go for a pen or anything instead she dipped her fingertips into the dark blue liquid and brought her hand up to mark a letter 'H' onto the door in a small unobtrusive space that she could easily see it.

"There we are. Marked." She said as she started to put the lid back on the vial so she could put it away, carelessly she wiped the ink across her obi not really seeming to mind if it got stained or not.

Herryk inspected the mark that Lattice made with a wide grin.

"And now if Lattice ever needs anything she can find her way here?" He certainly hoped so. He supposed he should invite her in and offer her something to drink but to be quite honest Herryk's dorm room was a mess and he wasn't quite ready to have guests.

Clearing his throat, Herryk turned to face Lattice again. He was kind of at a loss as to what to do. The draugr didn't want to be rude, that was for certain.

"Is.. ah.. Lattice ready to go to her dorm now?"

Soooo smooooooth.

Lattice smiled at his approval and nodded a bit, "Yes, I will find my way to you. I will remember," She affirmed for him.

She didn't seem to note the awkwardness in Herryk's tone nor did she note anything as being 'off'. The Engraver wasn't anticipating on spending time in Herryk's room at the moment so luckily for him she wasn't offended at all. Lattice nodded a bit, "Yes, I am ready now, thank you."

The Engraver reached over to take his hand as she turned to try and see if she could lead them out properly and then to her own dorm. Naturally Herryk was free to correct any wrong turns she made.

As they approached the exit of the undead dorms, Herryk grinned at Lattice. Sure, they'd just entered only moments before but here was Lattice, finding her way out of the dorms without any guidance from Herryk. It made him happy. He let her continue walking on her own.

"Herryk has never been in any other dorm building other than his own," he said, making idle chit-chat. "What dorm does Lattice live in?" He was absurdly excited to see where Lattice lived. "Is it nice?"

"I make my home in the Ghost Dorms. I think they are very nice," she murmured as she led him into and through the little graveyard that got them toward a mausoleum. The Engraver paused a moment to get her bearings before she carefully walked the steps downward into the underground.

After a few moments she managed to lead him to her own ink-smudged door, "Here we are," she murmured quietly as she moved to open the door with no hesitation at all. Just looking in Herryk saw her room as neat and tidy as ever though she perpetually thought it to be a mess.

"Thank you for everything, Herryk. I truly enjoyed our time together," She murmured quietly to him.

Herryk paused as Lattice thanked him.

"There is no need to thank Herryk. It was a pleasure to meet Lattice, and Herryk looks forward to seeing her again. Herryk is also excited to meet Lattice's seamstress friend Lizzy."

Leaning up against the frame of Lattice's door, Herryk peered into her room. It was cleaner than Herryk's room had ever been. He should really work on that just in case company ever stopped by -- not that he ever really expected such a thing to happen, but he was making friends at an alarming rate and now that Lattice knew where he lived, well, he could never be too careful.

"Herryk had a very nice time, Lattice."

Lattice nodded lightly, "Soon, I am sure."

She would invite Herryk in but then again he probably had other things to do perhaps. The ghoul shifted a bit gently moving a hand to try and get Herryk to bend down as she rose up giving him a chaste kiss on the cheek.

"I shall see you again, Herryk. I am glad you also had a good time." She smiled lightly as she pulled back and removed her hand. It was obvious she wasn't going to go into her room until she was certain Herryk had gotten safely out of the Ghost dorms.

The draugr lifted up a wide hand to press against his cheek. He'd never been kissed by a ghoul before, and Herryk had to admit that it was pretty nice. Just a sweet little innocently chaste kiss on the cheek between friends, but even still, it was Herryk's first.

With a stunned, stupid little grin, Herryk started shuffling backwards towards the exit.

"Farewell, Lattice. Herryk will see you soon."

That being said, the draugr whipped around and made his way from the ghost dorms. That silly, stupid little grin didn't leave his face for a long, long time.

"Safe travels," she said after him as she watched him leave. It was probably a good thing she couldn't see his expression otherwise she might have wondered what it was about but as of this moment she was innocent about it.

Once she was sure he wasn't wandering around the halls like a lost scareling looking for their mummy she turned and wandered into her room to put her purchases away and maybe draw for a while.
