Russ laughed. "I would say you are." He shrugged slightly as he got up. "Of course, the sooner you show me your den, the sooner we can see the metal forest right? Because that just means one more event of the day is over to make tomorrow come that much sooner."
Russ smiled at Ryu as he walked up to him. "And don't worry about the food. It was all about you today. If I get hungry later I'll do some more hunting." Of course, he had a different type of hunting in mind...

Nodding, Lilac rubbed his cheek against Russ's, just a friendly rub. Beginning to pad off, he turned around to see if Russ was following. "It's actually not to far..away." He paused, grimacing. Ow, his stomach suddenly let out a pang of...hurt. Ignoring it, the purple male began to pad off, tail wagging side to side.
His den wasn't that impressive but it didn't really need to be. He was by himself, though he disliked being by himself.... Hell... if Russ was... NO.

Russ smoothed his face quickly before Ryu looked back at him. He had rubbed his cheek against him. It unnerved Russ just a little. He had no problem with tails touching. But for cheeks to be touching...That was just a few degrees turn away from a kiss. A KISS. Granted Russ liked to flirt but he had never kissed anyone before.
Shaking himself mentally, he could do this yes he could, Russ followed after Ryu. "Neat. So you don't have to drag your kills that far, if the deer keep coming to this area." If Russ wasn't walking he'd have slapped himself. Talking about kills when on his way to Ryu's den. Smooth...

Blinking, his head tilted back. "Ah, I suppose." She responded, he hadn't thought about that. Laughing and nodding, shrugging at the male. "If I keep eating meat I'll remember that~"
Once they reached a small little fox den he stopped, moving over to the side and nodding to the den. "This is my home...it's small, I know." He smiled slightly, tail wagging side to side.

Right. Today had been Ryu's first time on a hunt and eating meat. And he had thought deer meat tasted strange. Why had Russ even thought Ryu would continue eating deer meat? So stupid.
Russ cocked his head to the side as he studied Ryu's den. "It may be small but it works right?" He smiled at Ryu. "After all, having a small den for you is better than having a large one for just you when it can fit more than two foxes in it." And it was better than Russ's. Russ pretty much slept where ever. He roamed and traveled too much to actually make a place a home. Or if he felt, like he had this past week, for staying in one location for a bit to rest from traveling, he'd find a small place to sleep as well. But even that wasn't the same as calling a place his.
Russ looked up and noted the sun's position. If he was to make it to his den by nightfall he should leave now. He smiled at Ryu. "Well, I better head out. We need our beauty sleep if we're to travel the metal jungle tomorrow." He winked at the violet male. "Though looking at you, you don't need much I'd say."
((Yeah, so we'd have more to work with instead of a couple about seeing the den and saying good-bye xDD.))

Blushing brightly, Lilac looked away, touching his cheeks. "A-Ah.... wha...I..." He was just purple! How was he pretty at all?! Watching Russ he nervously laughed, waving. "H-Have a good night."
Great, he was blushing. If he wasn't careful the purple fur of his would turn red!

It hurt. His everything hurt. Oh god, his stomach hurt more then anything had ever hurt before. Why? Was it because of the meat? No! Russ had eaten it, what if he was sick, too?! Maybe it was the berries from before.... maybe they were bad.
It felt like a cramp but...a million times worse! "Nnnnnn!" He was supposed to see Russ today!

Russ whistled as he sat in the middle of their hunting area from the day before. He hadn't been able to sleep well last night, excited to see Ryu again today. So once the first ray of light hit the skies, Russ had made his way here. And had been sitting here for awhile, waiting for his violet male. He probably could have gone to Ryu's den after a bit he supposed, since they really had not set a specific time to meet.
Now that he thought about it, they hadn't really specified where they were going to meet as well. Ryu had mentioned meeting here...but then he had offered to show Russ his den. So Russ supposed they could have been meeting there as well. Russ stood up and shook himself off. "I'll just make my way over there." Hey, at least he knew the way, and if Ryu used that same way to get here they'd meet at some point right?
So off Russ went. It seemed very quiet this morning. There was no motion in the trees or bushes, only a very few birds chirping...Russ grinned as he finally saw the mouth of Ryu's den. Well, he hadn't seen Ryu on the way over...The tri-colored male's grin grew at the thought that he might possibly see the other male once he woke up. If he thought Ryu was cute simply smiling...."Yo Ryu! You in there man?"
He turned an ear towards the den, to hear if there was any stirring in there. He was rewarded with some type of sound...."Ryu?" He inched closer to the den.

Lilac heard his name, well, his fake name being called, head tilting back to look up and see the strong male. Nnnn... even sick Lilac felt that unusual flutter in his chest when he saw him... And with the light behind him you could really see his muscles...
"Russ." His voice came out whined, ears flicking back. "I don't think we can go on the trip.... my stomach really hurts..." Really hurts? Ha, that didn't describe it, it was like a wolf clawing at the inside of his belly!

Russ's ears fell back as he heard Ryu's voice. That didn't sound like the Ryu he was with yesterday. That Ryu was cute and strong. This Ryu sounded....sick, ill. Russ made his way into the cave and he looked down at Ryu, worry in his eyes.
"Hey man, don't worry about it. We'll go another day alright? Today we'll focus about making you all better. How's that sound?" Russ sat down next to the other fox. Dieties did he look bad.
"When did it start hurting? Has this happened before? Can I get you anything?" Russ closed his mouth before he bit off his own tongue with all the questions he was wanting to ask.

"I dunno.... last night...shortly before you left." He whispered back, watching Russ as he went to lay down beside him. Uhnnnn... he wanted to snuggle closer.... wait...what was stopping him? The purple fox moved closer, resting his head on the males shoulder.
"No, never... I don't need anything just... don't leave?" He liked having the muscular males warmth beside him, it made him feel safe. Made him feel small, yes, but in a good way. As if Russ was bigger then him and could just scoop him up onto his back and protect him..

Last night? Shortly before he left? Russ sighed and shook his head. "You silly fool. If it was hurting that bad why not ask me to stay to help?" And Russ would have to. Just like he was here now.
And he really didn't want to leave. Sure, Russ stiffened slightly when Ryu rested his head on his shoulder, but he relaxed just as quickly. It felt so good, so natural, for Ryu's head to be resting here. Russ brought a paw up and ran it through Ryu's hair. "I won't leave. I'm going to stay here till you're all better. After all, you owe me a trip to the metal jungle right?"

"It didn't hurt this bad." He whined back, ears flicking when the paw touched his hair. Oh... he liked that. Leaning into the touch his tail wiggled, resting into Russ more.
"Yea..." He looked at Russ, ears flipping back. "Russ?" He asked softly, quietly. "Am I a burden?" He asked softly, nervously. If Russ said yes.... Nnn. He didn't want to think about it.

"A burden? Never!" Russ rested his head on top of Ryu's. "How could you ever think that?" Now that Russ thought about it...Ryu had seemed hesitant with some of his questions and answers the day before. Did Ryu have a problem with his self-esteem that he had to ask such questions?
"Honestly. If you were a burden, I wouldn't be here right now. I'd leave you to your stomachache and tell you see you later." He lifted his head and looked at Ryu. "So don't think that okay?"

He nodded, looking down once more. Of course...Russ was so kinda... he... he... "I lied." He blurted, looking at Russ. He couldn't lie anymore, not to the man caring for him, not to the man that stuck around despite his personality and dorky self...
"My name isn't Ryu.. It's Lilac... I.. Ryu means dragon. It's a lot manlier then...Lilac. So I tell everyone my name is Ryu." His ears were stuck against his head, looking up at Russ. "I'm sorry.... I.... I'm just sorry.."

Russ blinked. Ryu's name wasn't Ryu? Instead it was..."L-Lilac?" He let that roll off his tongue a few more times, testing it out. He shook his head. "Yeah...Ryu sounds more like you." He looked down at Ryu/Lilac and gave the purple male a comforting smile. "Why be sorry? I'd have probably done the same if I were you." How could Russ be mad at Ryu for wanting to change his name? Lilac was so....feminine. So girly. What guy would want to be called that?
"Although...," Russ nodded, "Lilac suits you too. You are sweet sometimes. Then again, you can be fierce like a dragon." Again Russ ran his paw through Ryu's hair. "If you want to continue being called Ryu though, I will call you that instead."
