Solaris---Fiorin-----Cheshire-----Chase

Solaris eyed the three paths again in quick procession, his neck hurt from turning it side to side at such a fast rate but he was at a loss for what to do.
Fiorin's ears lifted, pleased the Pokemon wanted to converse.
"It is indeed, shame we have to do this ridiculous game of hide and seek."
He watched their guildmaster in his panic as the Espeon paced back and forth before the trio of paths that could very easily send them the right way or get them hopelessly lost.
The Pikachu nodded to the Wartortle, who had a very good point, he wasn't too keen on stumbling through darkness himself.
Light was nice and though the electric type knew flash it wasn't as bright as whatever it was glowing down the middle path.
As Steven reasserted his point, Fiorin raised a paw to scratch at one of his electric sacs with a contemplative expression.
"I 'unno, I'm kinda liking that nice quiet path over there."
Solaris turned to survey his guild as they spoke, his eyes glanced briefly to the Absol that approached him and he nodded respectively to the suggestion.
"Thank you, Mr. Dravin, but I think our safest bet is to stay where it is lit and we can see our paws in front of our faces."
Most of the guild agreed with him in that part and so he took the path down the center and steadily lead his members along.
It quickly became apparent that there would be no light as the 'stars' ahead of them kept moving forward as they advanced. Like they were running.
Annoyed, Solaris vanished in a teleport directly behind where the lights were only to recieve a Bug Bite to the ear.
"GYAH!"
Three angry Volbeat hovered overhead, well one of them was latched to Solaris who flailed around on the ground.
The glow had been their glowing tails.
Well, this hadn't been though out.
Chase ignored Blight for the most part until he spotted the Volbeat, in which the Buneary was shoved forward and the Kirlia took place behind him.

A poll is about to be placed on the first page. Make your official guesses there after considering the options.
RP amongst the other members and discuss the best course of action to take.
The correct way pushes you further long your path, the wrong way will stall you.
If even one person selects the wrong way [ in the voting, the guild will stay together] then a single road bump will slow you down.
You have a set number of wrong answers you can get before this mission is failed.

Pixie Frankie

They both saw Solaris be attacked by a Volbeat while two others hovered above.

"Well it appears I over-thought it. Oh well, that's how the cookie crumbles. At least I have an advantage if I'm needed. Which I probably will be."

The Vulpix starts to slowly sneek forward in an attempt to catch one of the Volbeat off guard.

"What?! It was just Volbeat?!"

He may not have an advantage, but he'll try. As Pixie sneeked forward, he just walked up further to get a closer look at the perpetrators.

Morana && Zora && Veritas

"Grandmother?" So she was an Eclipse. That still didn't tell Veritas much but she didn't ask anymore, figuring that they'll find out when they get there. Solaris himself didn't seem to know much about what was going on.

When they reached the fork in the road however, she paused to consider all three options. So they were trying to find this "Meda" right?

"We can't just assume she would have trouble with the dark." Veritas cut in as she heard the point come up several times. "Two of my teammates here can see perfectly fine in darkness. What species is Meda?"

And she was promptly ignored. She tried again.

"And we shouldn't have trouble down the path with everyone we have here." Veritas herself even can generate a good amount of light if she tried, though she disliked discharging her fur like that. They had plenty of glowy pokemon with them. Veritas didn't necessarily think that the dark path was absolutely the right way, but she didn't like how some people were just writing it off.

Whoo being ignored because I totally posted late!

---

When it was obvious that the "stars" were moving Veritas figured they were probably just some glowing Pokemon, and it was rather convenient for them to be always ahead, lighting the path. Of course, Solaris didn't seem to think along such lines and did the stupid thing of teleporting right into them. Good job making friends Solaris.

Veritas made her way forward, using her speed and an Agility to reach the Espeon within seconds, pushing a paw between the two Pokemon in an effort to pry the Volbeat off.

"Please, we're not here to harm you or to intrude. We're Rescue Teams, and we are looking for someone who's a potential threat to those living in this forest. Can you please tell us if you have seen anyone strange here recently?" Pffft, I know this is going to end in a fight but it makes no sense to just start bashing their heads in so it's worth a try.

Morana and Zora were hanging around being useless.

Derp derp these two are hanging around being useless too. They have no idea who the hell they're looking for or what they're really doing. A fight hasn't really broken out yet so they're staying back.

Ethfael & Erinn

When Solaris announced that they were taking the brightest path, Erinn's eyes widened with dismay and he dug his front claws into the earth. "Uh uh, no way!" he protested loudly, "You can't make me go down there!" The Paras didn't want anything to do with the lights, certain that they meant being attacked which he wanted to avoid at all costs. Darkness was frightening but angry Pokemon were far more so. "No no no no no no no no no!" he said, even as the others had already begun to move forward, "I'm telling you this is a bad idea, a bad bad bad idea!" Why no one ever listened to him he didn't know, he hadn't done anything to deserve getting ignored but no one cared what he had to say.

Ethfael rolled his eyes, embarrassed by how much the Paras was acting up. If the others weren't staring yet it couldn't be long. "Erinn be quiet, we can't do anything about it now," the Dragonair said sharply, "We should stay with the group. There aren't that many lights up there so if worse comes to worse we'll engage them in battle. No need to panic so much."

"I'm not going that way! I refuse! I'm not going anywhere near those lights!" The Paras was inconsolable, refusing to move even an inch by himself, so Ethfael sighed and resigned himself to the less desirable option. Quickly he wrapped the end of his tail around Erinn and began to follow the rest of the group. Erinn's eyes widened with panic as he was lifted off the ground and dragged down the path. "Noooooooo! I don't want tooooooooo!" the Paras wailed as he was pulled, flailing about aimlessly as if that could somehow help the situation. All that it really accomplished was making the Dragonair who was carrying him more annoyed and got Erinn an uncomfortably tight squeeze to force him to silence again.

As they made their way toward the evasive lights, Ethfael grew more and more certain that these were in fact Bug Types. A small part of his mind was darkly satisfied that his assumptions had been correct, but he was more greatly preoccupied as the Pokemon, shortly after revealed to be Volbeat, turned back to attack. Releasing Erinn from the coil in his tail, the Dragonair took stock of the situation quickly before jumping into it. Peaceful talk would do no good, the Jolteon who had tried being ignored in favor of the Volbeat still sucking out Solaris' life energy. With a quick snap of his tail Ethfael used Dragon Tail to hit the Volbeat on Solaris off before it could severely injure their Guild Captain. That being done, Ethfael turned his head toward the closest Volbeat and shot a quick but controlled Flamethrower at it. It wouldn't set any of the foliage on fire but it would hopefully do a number on the Bug Type. Hopefully they could take care of this quickly at least.

As he was set down Erinn's eyes instantly went to the Volbeat and he panicked yet again. "I TOLD YOU!" he screeched, cowering behind Ethfael, "Didn't I say there were Bug Types, didn't I say it!? No one ever listens to me! I said we shouldn't go this way! I warned you there would be Pokemon here, lights that are lurking in a forest are never safe to go towards, ever! Why did none of you believe me! Whyyyy!" The Paras let out a yelp of alarm as Ethfael's Flamethrower shot over his head and he cowered uselessly on the ground. Oh god oh god he was not made for this. In desperation the Paras aimed a Psybeam at the same Volbeat Ethfael had aimed the Flamethrower at before ducking his head and trying to disappear again, Arceus he did not want to be here.

Pixie Frankie

When Pixie saw the blue Jolteon push the Volbeat off Solaris and asked for no fighting, Pixie quit stalking, but was still ready to attack if necessary.

Since Frankie hadn't really been prepared to attack anyways, he just stopped walking and continued looking on.

There was something that crossed his mind earlier anyways. He actually had noticed a slight difference in his personality after Pixie joined him. He thought that he seemed a bit more.... what's the word?... Joking maybe? Obnoxious? But, before Pixie got here he had thought more about surviving to help her, and know he was acting more natural..... was that a good thing or a bad thing? Was it just that he felt confident enough to jest a little now that he had someone to watch his back?

He didn't know, so Frankie pushed it to the back of his mind for the moment and continued wathcing the situation.

ImitiqwertOliverqwertyChuck

Imiti watched as the diplomacy attempt was shot down by Ethfael. Ah well. If this was an inevitable fight, at least it might as well be a quick one. Take them down quickly. We don't have time for this. Try to leave them alive. Turning to a Vulpix and Squirtle he told them, "Stop standing there and help." With that he shot a blast of fire at one Volbeat, the same one that had been hit by fire already.

Chuck circled around to help Imiti, but stayed out of melee reach, instead choosing to throw fireballs. Fire could be put out to avoid killing them, but claws were a different matter entirely. Oliver, who had come from the other side, realised the same thing. It was difficult to control the lethality of a knife wound, so instead he decided to try a trick he'd just learned recently. He glowed blue for a moment, then loosed a ball of blue energy at his target. An aura sphere could quite possibly knock someone out, but it was unlikely that this particular one would kill.

Reginald & Desdemona & Anastasia

Team ShadowWolf hadn't enough time to vote where to go until Solaris decided they would go down one path. The path was nicely lit by shimmering stars above-- wait, did one just move? Desdemona flinched at the sound of their Guildmaster's shriek and rushed ahead to find a furious Volbeat.
"Desdemona, do NOT attack--" Reginald was too late, for the Mawile had taken the other teams' lead and ran forward with an Ice Beam at the ready, shooting it at one of the Volbeats. Aw crap, this wasn't going to turn out well. Ah, might as well get them all before they have time to react. Reginald reared back his head, a ball of fire swelling in front of his open mouth. Just before the Fire Blast exploded toward the Bug-types, Anastasia slashed forward with a Quick Attack, slashing at one of their wings and sommersaulting back before the fire could consume her.

User Image~Finian

Finian grumbled something under his breath as he reluctantly moved along with the lot of the guild. In all seriousness him and many of the surrounding others had either the means of seeing in the dark naturally or producing some sort of luminescence to guide others even. After all, if he had heard correctly, their objective at the moment was to hunt down a Dark type Pokemon, which would have most likely felt most comfortable along the darkest path. He truly had no reason to complain aloud though, for he hadn't even bothered to voice his opinion to begin with. However it was rather frustrating to find soon enough that the guild ended up posed with a roadblock of sorts. Nothing that could possibly do any harm to them other than slowing them down. As a whole a few Volbeat verses an entire guild was a joke. Whatever the case he was more than glad to play his own part, the Absol conjuring a Razor Wind attack in the vicinity of one of the bug types that had yet not been attacked in hopes of taking it out of the air. His plan proving to be a success as it did not cause much damage to the opposing Pokemon but it at least forced it to the ground out of fear of being ripped to shreds, from which point it would be more susceptible to an onslaught of fellow guild members. Finian wished not to be directly responsible for the death or injury of such a being especially since the poor thing was probably just trying to defend its territory from intruders. That being noted the extent of his attacks against the Volbeat ended there.
User Image~Blight
"HolyshitIhateyoukillitwithfire!"
Blight yelped out as he was silently forced into the heat of battle by his own teammate. Nrr, how long was this lack of peace between them going to keep up. Without warning the Buneary found himself face to face with a recently grounded Volbeat which looked rather pissed at the prediciment at hand; it's seething glare directed at Blight looking as if he was about to attack the Normal type. Before a move could be made though the Buneary's fist was engulfed in flames, cocked back, and proceeded to be shoved into the face of the Bug type before him.

Pixie Frankie

Everything had happened so fast that, until Imiti called out to her, Pixie didn't even realize that a Dragonair had attacked one of the Volbeat. Arceus she felt like an idiot.

But that's besides the point now. PIxie jumped into action, shooting out an ember at the Volbeat closest to her, then will-o-whisp for an added effect. Providing the attacks hit, that should some damage.

((-3 and burn to Volbeat 2))

Frankie realized that while he was lost in thought and didn't even notice that a battle started. Oh well. Time for business.

As Pixie attacked one of the Volbeats, he attacked the other that wasn't ko'd. He knew it wouldn't be effective, but it was the best ranged attack he had. So he quickly shot out a water gun and, hoping the Volbeat would be distracted, ran in quickly to attempt a tackle.

Tammet

Tammer didn't mean to creep Blight out.
In fact, he was hoping to impress the Buneary, who looked like the head of his team.
To Tammet, fluffly bunny was much manlier and fight-ready than little girlyboi.
The pants wearing lizard watched as the Buneary was shoved into battle.
"... Well tha' wasn' very nice..." He scorned Chase in his little cockney accent.
The Scraggy then ran forward, arms seemingly flapping in the wind, to Blight's side just as the Volbeat was slammed with a Fire Punch.
The impact of the attack caused the Volbeat to bounce back a bit.
The Scraggy took the temporary air time at the perfect moment, chasing the Volbeat down and sliding under the Bug type.
Just as he was under the bouncing Bug, he thrust his foot upward in a Brick Break attack.
The attack slammed into the Volbeat's gut, sending it right up into the air.
Immediately, Tammet's arms were planted onto the ground, and his legs began to pinwheel as he basically break-danced back to his feet.
As soon as he was on his feet again, Tammet used those powerful legs with an added spring from his tail to leap high into the air after the Volbeat.
As he reached the Bug in altitude, he flipped forward, slamming his heel into the back of the Volbeat's head and sending it right to the ground.
Tammet's own version of a High Jump Kick.
Tammet landed on the ground right next to Blight, blank expression still decorating his face as if he had no clue what had just happened.

Harumi - Victor - Aiden

Harumi stared at the three Volbeat, blinking a few times.
Victor sighed a little bit as he watched the Eevee, this would surely cause an uproar.
Harumi had wanted to go down the Path of Stars due to the fact that it was shiny.
The fact that she was wrong about choosing the right path was sure to upset her.
"This... is... GREAT!~" The Eevee suddenly exclaimed happily.
Gonk went the confused Scyther.
"We get to see pretty shiny things, AND kick some wholesale a**! Let's do this!"
And with that, Harumi was rushing into battle, Victor close behind.
Aiden sighed a bit, sitting on his rump and scratching behind his ear with his hind paw.
Just then, a Volbeat landed face-first right next to him.
"... Why hello there."
The Umbreon wheeled around onto his feet, and in lightning speed he was slamming his forehead into the downed Volbeat, a Quick Attack.
That's right, Aiden wasn't afraid to attack a downed a*****e.
The Volbeat let out an angry wail as it finally got back to its feet after that little three-hit combo it just endured.
Aiden stared on, a chill going down his spine.
Oh, s**t... That was what he just attacked...
OH MY GOD A BUG, RUNNNNN!
Aiden let out a wail of terror as the Volbeat began to chase him around, trying to catch him with a Bug Bite attack.

Meanwhile, Harumi and Victor found themselves observing a group of Pokemon attacking two other Volbeat.
Harumi looked to Victor, an excited fire in her eyes.
"Alright, Victor! Execute maneuver Triple-Omega-Sunshine!" She exclaimed loudly.
Victor's face went totally blank.
"Uhm... E-Excuse me?" His confused response.
Harumi sighed and slapped a little paw onto her forehead.
"Just... Let me ride on your shoulder..."
Soon after, the Scyther was lunging up at a particular Volbeat, Harumi clinging to his shoulder.
Victor swiped at the Volbeat with that very same arm connected to the shoulder that Harumi was perched on.
As his blade made contact, Harumi sprinted down Victor's arm, slamming her head into the Volbeat's and jumping back with Victor.

( Red & Blue & Jay & Jo(e)y & Alaisdair )

"Hey guys"
Blue spoke up, though nobody seemed to pay attention. He looked down at Red, who decided to give it a try.
"Everyone, we think the dark path is better"
Nope, nada.
They needed to invest in a megaphone sometime.

And thus, ignored, the team watched as everyone took the path they were sure was wrong and that everyone else was saying was wrong. What...what the heck man? Same people that said that was the wrong path were going down it, thats stupid. "God, its like a machine" Joy mumbled, Alaisdair now resting safely under his arm. He would much rather carry him than have him on his foot, dragging him down. Nonetheless, staying with the group was crucial, and he began to walk along with them. Red and Blue promptly followed, and Jay just stared at them for a moment. He looked back at the Zorua on his tail, and then forward at the path. Whatever, she was here so that meant she could fight...or at least, had permission to. With all those teeth it shouldn't be a problem. He began to walk with the group, seemingly not minding the extra weight on his end.

--

This wasn't right. The lights were moving. Lights don't move like that unless being carried away. Blue was ready to tell everyone they should turn back before it was too late, but then Solaris just went and teleported off towards them. This wasn't going to end well.

Before they knew it, three Volbeat hovering above them, all angry. One team seemed to want peace, everyone else seemed to want the opposite. Time to go join everyone else! Blue opened his mouth, letting out a flurry of ember. Red opened her mouth as well, a jet of flames aimed at the same Volbeat, all the while trying to avoid hitting anyone though she was sure that passed over someones head. She watched as said Volbeat fell to the ground, done for. Yay C:

"Alais, start chargin' up a Solarbeam" Joy told the Oddish in his arms. "Whu-what? But they're bugs, it won't even-" "Just do it" The audino said in a forceful tone. Frightened, Alaisdair's leaves began to glow as he took in as much light as he could...didn't have to be sunlight, he didn't care, any light would do. Joy waited patiently, holding his companion in both hands now. This better work.

Jay went straight to offensive. He was about to Aerial ace the third one when...tail weight. Darn, at least he still had something else. He stamped one front paw on the ground, a reddish-pink energy shooting out at one of the Volbeat. It was possibly the only thing he could do that wouldn't hurt...wait, what was her name? Did she even have a name?

Joy grinned as he held Alaisdair out in front of him, "Ready, set..." he mumbled. "I don't like this..." the oddish said, a ball of greenish light appearing in front of him. The Audino paid no mind, "...go. FIRE THE GRASS LASERS!" he shouted just as a Solarbeam shot out from in front of Alaisdair. Oh goodness, he just hoped it didn't hurt anyone...

Steven

Steven kept to the path in the middle of the group and kept a careful eye out.
The group was sticking together and it was well enough lit that there was no worries about them splitting apart and--where did Sol--
Oh god what was he doing. What was that idiot doing.
Steven, ever so briefly, felt much better about leaving the guilds before he started considering a course of action.
But by the time he had decided what to do, it was apparent it was no longer necessary. The entire guild had descended upon the Volbeat in an instant with each member slinging their strongest attacks including a rather generous amount of very powerful fire-type abilities.
Honestly, it was a little bit excessive; there were only three volbeat and they didn't need to kill the damn things.
And for that matter, sending all those violent and uncontrollable attacks in the direction of their guildmaster was incredibly stupid.
Steven dropped to all fours and ran to the side of the group. Instead of contributing directly to the battle, he simply sprayed a small amount of water over the general encounter.
They didn't need to burn the Volbeat (or the guildmaster) to a crisp and the water would help protect them a bit.
They'd still get some nasty burns, but at least it wouldn't be fatal.

Solaris---Fiorin-----Cheshire-----Chase

This tail was deliciously fluffy! Cheshy wasn't inclined to let go of Jay anytime soon unless she was forcibly pryed off. Her tail flicked in a wag of amusement as the chaos erupted around them. Ooh, ooh, pretty lights and colors. This was so worth getting out of bed!
"This doesn't seem so bad." The Pikachu commented as they made their way along the path, guided by the lumination ahead. It was only when Solaris took off that he stopped in his tracks and the feeling of calmness quickly made way for the feeling of dread.
"What is he-" And now they were fighting some pissed off Volbeat. Great. Good job, Solly.
Fiorin was only able to gape in silence at the sheer audacity this Espeon had just displayed. What kind of moron ran charging into some mysterious, floating 'stars' without thinking about the consequences. By the time he got over his shock, the madness had ended and he gave a few quick steps to rejoin the Wartortle he'd spoken to before.
"Who put him in charge?" Was the electric type's first question, his cheeks sparked with an annoyance he normally never displayed. Fiorin was rather chill, but there were some things too stupid to overlook. Solaris, for example.
The Espeon in question was pawing at his bitten ear with a whimper, casting grateful and wide eyes around to the guild members within the vacinity.
"S-sorry everyone. I guess that was the wrong path."
"You're right. For once." Perched on a branch above the guilds was a small Hoothoot with large eyes. It turned it's beak to preen it's feathers before resuming it's attention on the guild.
User Image
"If you seek that Shiny Umbreon, she went down the path to your right."
"Whoa-whoa, Shiny Umbreon?" Chase was quick to push past his Buneary shield to stand at the front of the group. The Kirlia, if anything, wasted most of his time reading out of boredom and so his random assortment of knowledge finally became useful at this point.
"Solaris, if you had told us that we would have known to go right! Umbreon can see in the dark, they prefer to keep the the shadows in order to avoid detection.""But we would have seen her rings glow!" The Espeon whined, becoming defensive to the smaller Psychic who was challenging his authority.
"Their rings only light up when they are preparing to attack. It says so in the Emerald Guide to Pokemon. They also only glow when exposed to the light of the moon, this is written in the Monochrome Guide. Under that thicket of trees, no moon light could have reached her therefor she wouldn't glow. The silent path was undisturbed, so she couldn't have gone there since she would have most assuredly 'caused a ruckus. The middle path is too well lit, like I said, Umbreon like to stay to the darkness. This would have left the dark path which is where she went, which we could have figured out if you'd shared this information from the GET GO!"
Heaving, out of breath, the Kirlia retreated back to Blight's side. Far too angry to even LOOK at Solaris now. Fiorin let out a low whistle, impressed.
"We...we can go back and-" Solaris began quietly, but upon directing his gaze back in the direction they came he noticed that the forest itself seemed to have...moved.
Like a living creature, it had detected predators in it's midst and closed the gap behind them.
"...oh."
"You'll have to keep going forward and hope for the best." The Hoothoot stated, standing from one foot to the other. It cooed lightly in thought before looking forward to the three more paths that lie ahead of them.
"I am Aloyisius. I protect what lies deep within this forest, so I can not tell you which way to go for I am sworn to silence. But I can answer your questions. As for which path she took, I can not say. For it would break my vow."
It was clear that Meda had taken the path leading to whatever this owl protected. He wouldn't tell them which on his own accord.
It seemed the guild would have to be sneaky with their questions to figure out which path it was.

You may ask Aloyisius three questions [Per RPer] to determine the best route.
They may not be 'Is this the right path' or 'Did she go down this path' or anything of the sort.
They may be 'has this path been used recently' or similar questions.
Directly asking which way she went will result in a loss of one of your questions without an answer. Be careful.

Now Pixie was definately sure she had overthought the situation. As usual. But anyways, three questions and we have to try and get the answer out of the Hoothoot indirectly.

Thats gonna be hard.

It was all Frankie could do to keep from doing a happy turtle dance about seeing a shiny Umbreon.

"I'm so pathetic," he thought, "This is serious business. And I shouldn't be happy about seeing this shiny Umbreon. She's apparently done something serious."

Finally he managed to clear his mind and started thinking about the questions. He knows Pixie well enough to know she may overthink it.

The questions.... huh....

...It was a Shiny Umbre-- was he stupid? He was an Espeon and he didn't know about his own sister's species?
The Wartortle rubbed his face lightly in annoyance before answering Fiorin through his palm.
"He's only the leader because of his blood. I'm pretty sure he was demoted for incompetence... I'm not sure why he wasn't just bloody fired."
Steven continued to lightly rub his face for a moment before looking around at his surroundings. They'd been closed in, great, magic forest.
Just what they needed to deal with right now, an idiot and angry magical trees screwing with them.
He looked up at the Hoothoot, taking in what it said with a mild curiousity. Guardian of the forest, huh?
...It sounded an awful lot like he was guarding some kind of treasure~
Well, then, if he was guarding it, let's just find out as much as we can, why not?
"What exactly does your vow restrict? For clarification, what are you allowed to say, not say... that sort of thing."
He had to be careful how he asked questions. The Hoothoot seemed rather tight-lipped... finding out what he COULD ask first would be more beneficial.
