"We always need aid," said Virgo from her spot on the fountain. She looked much the worse for wear; it'd been almost a day and she had gotten perhaps four hours of uninterrupted sleep. Not anywhere near as much as she had needed, but enough. It had to be enough. She took a deep breath and offered her palms out to Sailor Albireo. "I'm Soldier Virgo, Captain of the Guard. It's a pleasure, Albireo."

She smiled at Magellan, tiredly. "Leo's told me of you. It's a pleasure, Sailor Magellan. I'm Virgo. Now, if you'll come over here and take a hand--"

Just then, another senshi appeared. Another child, of course. "It's a pleasure, Sailor Chibi Ixion," she said, a little sourly. It was one thing to put Zodiac children on the Surrounding. It was another one entirely to put unrelated senshi children on the Surrounding. Or awaken them in the first place. "Thank you for your assistance. We'll see that you're back well before then. I'd like it if you stayed on the outpost I'll bring you to. If you don't, you won't be allowed back up to the Surrounding after this visit. Is that understood?"

Without waiting for an answer--she supposed it was clear enough--she turned to Super Sailor Corvus. She smiled a tiny bit, recognizing her enough that she wasn't immediately set off by the somewhat dark sphere. "Soldier Virgo," she said, forming the group into a circle. "You'll all be going to Virgo Outpost, the infirmary. If you need to go somewhere else, ask a Zodiac. Anyone should be able to tell you where to find one." She fixed Ixion with a look. "And you will stay put on Virgo. Understood? Understood."

With that, the first group (comprising of Magellan, Albireo, and Corvus) disappeared.

Virgo popped back and smiled tiredly at Thisbe. "You're very welcome here, Sailor Thisbe. Alright… time to go!" Ixion, Thisbe and Virgo disappeared all at once. This time, Virgo did not return--she was going to take a break. With a decent amount of sleep, this time. With her boyfriend.

((Cora and Hypnos has been taken in the Surrounding already but since I have had some RL stuff keeping me busy, Cora's post comes just now. Sorry for the lateness. -.-;; ))

Cora had been taking a nap when the message came. So, Ainsley coming in the room, rushing from place to place and collecting everything she felt would be useful, was a bit surprise to a little sleepy cat. Ainsley explained the situation quickly which made the guardian very worried. Civilians in the Surrounding? Injured even! Cora cared about civilians and when it was Chronos who asked for help, she didn't hesitate even a second.

"I want to help! Let me come with you!" she announced.

Ainsley was so nice! She gave her own little bag where she could carry anything she wanted (which was package of butter and tuna cans mostly) for those poor civilians! She placed her lunch tote near Ainsley's backpack and ran to open some doors of kitchen shelfs. She almost stumbled on the dry cat food bag which reminded her of something important. Tempo! She couldn't leave the tuxedo cat without food or fresh water! After she had taken care of the other cat's needs (she needed to turn in her human form for a moment in order to complete these) the cat hurried in the kitchen, carrying a roll of toilet paper in her mouth and after it was in the backpack she was ready to take off.

"We are friends of Chronos," Cora added after Hypnos had introduced them. "We met her in Elysion and she gave us a lot of useful information."

"Don't worry, we'll be careful," she promised then, just before they disappeared from the Earth's ground and moved in the Surrounding.

Well.. Whatever Senri had been doing prior to the communication notification was irrelevant to the current issue at hand.

What did matter was his arrival. It had taken a day or so for him to push back all of his obligations and duties -- as Senri couldn't merely abandon them to simply save the world.

What also ranked in the order of importance was what he was holding beneath his arm. Unlike the others who brought bags of sleeping bags, medicine, and other essential supplies -- the senshi of wind unceremoniously held the senshi of wildfire beneath one arm. With his nonchalance, clearly, carrying somebody regardless of their will was perfectly ordinary. He held her with maddening ease, ignoring any protests she might have had with a polite smile to those of the Zodiac guard. He waved with the other hand, his face entirely too cheerful compared to the others who had arrived and the situation at hand. "What can I help you with?"

"I'm late since I had to pick up something along the way." And then he ******** dropped Gunn.

Gunn did not understand. She had been on a week-long rest from her trip to her comet, considering an alert she'd gotten from a cat, and suddenly there's civilians in space and Zephyr pounding on her door and ******** kidnapping her! Really? The Eternal senshi really didn't desire to hurt her friend, which didn't stop her from cursing at him and struggling. It just stopped her from struggling effectively. <******** you!" she said, loudly, for what felt like the hundredth time. "******** you, Zephyr, put me down--"

No luck. And because she didn't want to injure her sailor scout friend, she just dealt with it with louder and louder invectives. Then he dropped her! and she kicked him in the shins, angrily. "a*****e!"

It wasn't as if Flora hadn't expected to see Zephyr, of all people, turn up. He was a Senshi after all, and thus she was perfectly fine if he decided to be helpful, of course. Perfectly. Fine. But really? He had dragged another Senshi along? "What?" Was the only word that she could manage to get out, giving him an incredulous stare.

And then he had to drop that girl right in front of her. "H-hey!" Flora objected, holding back an urge to kick him in the shins and busied herself to make sure the other Senshi was fine. "Are you okay?"

"Well, you've seen the notification, right?" The Senshi of Spring said stiffly, crossing her arms. "We just need help with dealing with the civilians stuck up there." And she would make sure that he did actually help out. And maybe keep him from meeting her Princess for as long as possible. Thankfully, she hadn't blurted her complicated relationship with the Senshi of Wind out to the whole Zodiac Court.

"If you two are ready, then." She held out her hands, and when they took them, they would find themselves transported to the Surrounding.

This was foolish. Super Sailor Albali was striding into the overly ornate square that some pompous bullshit politician had spent way too much money building. A monument to tacky overspending that probably could have been put to better use somehow. Building houses maybe. Paying the police that couldn’t even stop the antics of the mini-skirted ‘terrorists’ roaming through Destiny City. Certainly she had never seen a member of the DCPD on her night-time patrols.

Then again though she had been a senshi for a long time, Albali had not spent a whole bunch of that time out patrolling. Before entering the Blood Moon Court she had barely acknowledged that she was a senshi at all. The Court had given her someone to fight for, a goal to reach for, and now there was...none of that. Though she still bore the mark and was officially a member of the Blood Moon Court, you could say that she was shopping around.

Shopping for a purpose, that was a new one. Acutely, she missed shopping for...well. Shopping for anything else! Unwilling to dwell on the drama that had occurred, determined to move past and make something out of another void in her life, Albali had jumped at the urgent text that had appeared on her ridiculous senshi cellphone. It was, at the very least, marginally less ridiculous than she was. It was not covered in ribbons at least!

The Zodiacs, whom Albali had heard about only as peripheral, were in trouble. The teen was assuming that this was somehow involved with the fact that random people all over the city had disappeared simultaneously. Even the Halpan family had been disturbed enough by reports to actually call their daughter and remark on it. Of course they had never worried that she was in trouble. Eilian was never in trouble! The idea that she might actually wind up in trouble one day was almost laughable for her practical family.

After all, Eilian didn’t believe in anything. What in the world could hurt someone who believed in nothing but what was in front of her face? Odds are it was just some obscure cult and the bodies would be found forthwith. Yet they hadn’t and though she’d had a feeling almost immediately it was Obscure Magical Senshi Bullshit, Eilian had kept her mouth shut and her tone light.

Albali was not feeling light coming into the square. There had been a lull of a few days where the Senshi of Echoes had debated if she wanted to get tangled with something obviously not her problem. But wasn’t that their job as senshi, to figure out what was going on and try to help? It was probably something the Negaverse had done, logically. Or the Zodiacs had kidnapped a bunch of civilians to use their bioenergy to power some great almighty magic.

In which case she desperately wanted to study it. It was a bit mad scientist of Sailor Albali but no one was perfect and she had been the one documenting torture a few months ago. Though she had never quite looked at the results of it. Ever. Flopping her fantastically beribboned a** against the statue in the cener of the square, she waited. Someone would come or she would simply waste two hours doing nothing more than organizing her week. There were worse ways to spend a September evening, for sure.

Fatigue was starting to wear the senshi of winter down as he had worked himself to the bone to make sure the civilians stuck at the Surrounding were comfortable for the night. At first, Boreas was excited to see some of the more attractive men wandering around the castle. Nothing motivated him like a little eye candy. However, the more lustful thoughts soon gave way to fatigue and exhaustion. For now, he would have to be content to look, but not touch.

Forgetful of the essentials at first, Boreas found himself picking up novelty items that didn't really serve the poor civilians stranded at the Surrounding. The first few trips had barely served any purpose with his knack for bringing pillow cases and hand sanitizer instead of food and toilet paper. One mustn't forget toilet paper with so many guests. He knew that now. Toilet paper was a priority and a mental note had to be ingrained.

Making his way into the square, he noticed a rather brightly colored female senshi. Taking a moment, he looked her over once to take notice of her uniquely ornate assortment of ribbons. Impressed that such an outfit could function as well as look so fun, a smile covered his face as made his way over to her.

"Hi! I see you are here to help out with the trouble at the Surrounding! We certainly appreciate any help we can get! Just take my hand and off we go!"

A wave of relief washed over him at the thought of an extra pair of hands. Hopefully more would answer their SOS and aid the Zodiacs in sorting out this mess. Taking Super Sailor Albali's hand, Boreas transported her to the Surrounding.

Draconis pushed her bangs out of her face as she darted up towards the statue. They were getting rather long. Her bangs would probably need to be cut soon here ... That's what you did with irregular things right?

You cut them off.

So when Draconis received a message to haul a** to the statue, you can bet that where she ended up. She was going to cut off the problem with whatever means. It was her duty as a senshi right? Well that sounded cool enough. That's what a superhero would say, right?

As she arrived, it seemed as those people were beaming in and out of the little square. Just what was going on?

Well, better ask and find out now. "What's the situation?" She asked, to any of the zodiacs that were milling around.

An entire group seemed to approach at once, evidently from different places but their conversation seemed to indicate they had gotten friendly with each other on the way. News of the bulletin was reaching far and wide throughout the galaxy and senshi pooled in-- some of them being fashionably late. Unfortunately, Euterpe hadn't been here to see Gunn getting dropped on her rump from Zephyr-- (A sight he would surely complain about until the end of time, goddamnit Gunn, you couldnt wait for him?!)-- all three were in an avid conversation.

Aeria was arguing that tea cookies were the best snacks. Ryugu-jo argued that marshmallows were the best, even if they didn't go well with tea. The two were in a rather heated argument, although it lacked any semblance of anger .. Still, the argument rose to tensions where Euterpe felt it prudent to duck out from the conversation and approach the crowd first. All three had their hands filled with bags and an assortment of items .. The later you were, the more text messages on got.

Euterpe called out first. "Yo Flo. Jolteon in, reporting for duty. What was your code name? Shay-may, something? I can never remember it."

Aeria tipped her head, her long blue hair falling in waves over one shoulder. "What was the point of code names? It's not as if remains a secret anyways."

"It's cool. End of story." A throaty chuckle from the knight, lifting his arm up in an attempt to stretch his sore muscles from the heavy supplies.

Flora had been spending her time helping to clean up the Castle, which consisted of sweeping, mopping, weeding. And today, she had even briefly returned to her homeworld to pick some flowers to brighten up the Castle. Besides, everyone liked flowers! The bright colors of Floran flowers would certainly look quite good in the vases she had polished up.

She had headed to the fountain then, to see if she could conveniently whisk along anyone who was interested in helping out. And sure enough, there were! "We've been settling them in pretty well so far." She said in reply to Draconis. "All we really need is supplies and people to help out."

"Music boy!" Flora greeted, face lighting up as she adjusted the basket of flowers she had on a arm to give him a quick hug. "Oh come on, the Princess is more of a Shaymin than I am. You'll understand when you meet her."

"Thank you all for coming!" She said, with a bow of her head. "Shall we go then?" And once they took her outstretched hands and formed a circle, they would all find themselves in the deep outskirts of space.

"Due to an attack on a senshi awaiting transport, we are moving the Zodiac meeting point to the statue of Apollo at War in Historic Destiny City. Please avoid the previous meeting point, as it has been compromised. Thank you for your cooperation."

Jada had heard that the Zodiacs had put forth a call for help. Who hadn't? Chaos was coming, and more was in danger than just 59 vanished civilians. More innocents would suffer. It was only the heavy losses that the Zodiac Court had suffered which had led to the all-call, she suspected. Jada’s personal funds were still low, but thanks to a few unexpected birthday gifts and a paid modeling job, she had been able to collect what little she had. There were bandages, gauze, and the best medicine she knew of- chocolate. Her small kitchen was fairly well-stocked for herself for the time being with soups and peanut butter, so she splurged on some sustainable foods for the surroundings. When she left the grocery store her bag was filled with jars of peanut butter and spaghetti noodles (Only $1.00 a box?!), tomato sauces and fettuccine sauces (Buy one gets ones!), sale items. Boxed cookies and snacks she had debated on, but goodness knew how long they would be out there. She’d gotten some cans of food, and stacked everything carefully into three of the reusable shopping bags. There was, additionally, a big bag of toilet tissue. (It could serve as Kleenex, or as a paper towel. It would come in handy!)

Why, she had wondered at first, had the Zodiacs not simply brought the civilians home instead of leaving the others to be couriers for food and necessities? She could understand why they had remained on the edges, she knew after a year and a half of her role that they were devoted to their Princess and their duty. She had seen it in the way that Elke spoke of the woman, seen it in the way they had fought when Chronos was in Elysium. It was the same kind of devotion she’d thought the Blood Moon had for Ares. Ares had betrayed those who loved her. Chronos shared her love with those who returned it. Scylla didn’t envy the Zodiacs the chain to their Princess, but she envied love.

Regardless of her personal feelings: the civilians were trapped, and the Zodiacs needed help. They had lent her help in the past, and now was an opportunity to return the favor. Yet if she went to aid them, what would she be leaving behind? Her cat. Her job. True she could come back at any point, but she couldn't expect the Zodiacs to ferry her to and from like a taxi every day. It wasn't fair to them. Not to mention that Jada couldn't take the time off work to stay for however long this would last. The weekends were when she had the opportunity to make most of her money, but her modeling job wasn't steady enough to take the week off of work. It would have to be the weekend, unless she found something else. She had a good job, a job that would help her when she finally came into her own and gained control of what was rightfully hers. It didn't pay well, but it was valuable experience. Was modeling that likely to be a career for someone like her?

On the more important hand, if they didn't make it through the now- if the Negaverse succeeded in sucking Earth dry, if she didn't get these darn supplies to the Apollo at War soon- Jada wouldn't have to worry about her future. She moved through the darkness, uncertain in her own skin as a senshi for the first time since she had joined the Blood Moon. It was pretty much the first time she had been in henshin to go anywhere but her own planet since the night that they had taken Ares' pen.

Dropping the bags near the statue, she hid them and took a casual seat on one of the ledges, back to something firm. The all-call had gone out that there had been an attack on the last drop point, and frankly, she wasn't in the mood to be hospitalized- or murdered. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long for someone to come. Castor could take care of himself for the weekend- she had just cleaned his litterbox this morning and he had a pretty fancy watering bowl. She might come home to a sacrificed mouse or two, but he'd be alive. And it wasn't like this weekend she had any particular plans- There was no better time, for the moment. A weekend would be enough time to see what supplies she could help with upon her return. When the Zodiac came for their pickup, she would ask to go with them.

Tate rolled over in bed to find her face in a small pile of paper. One of them was heavy parchment, written with a heavy cursive hand in what looked like a hurry. The green ink spelling Avalon Page was heavily smudged, almost illegible. How had Parker known that she was Avalon Page? (It didn't occur to her that magic might have been involved; not yet, at least. Perhaps it would.) The other pair of them were written on scraps of paper, and not addressed to her specifically. The handwriting was a bit familiar, like she might have seen it before, but she didn't think about it all that deeply as she rolled herself upright in bed. Huh. Someone called the Zodiacs were calling for help…

They had the missing civilians?

What the hell!! That was all Tate needed to read to spur her out of bed on a day off; she generally slept for hours, and then did nothing but watch television and eat Cheetos. Today, though, there were injustices to correct. Why did they have the civilians? Had Zinkenite been right? Why would they ask for help if they intended harm to the civilians they'd taken? Were the civilians even civilians? You couldn't trust anything that others said, especially when they came from un-labeled notes. (She tuned in to the fact that they had to be delivered by magic, largely due to the fact of when had Parker ever gotten their mail, and the fact that there was no address.) She pulled on her day-off clothes: undershirt, collared shirt, sweater and dark jeans. Then she snatched up her grocery backpack and went to go contribute what she could to the civilians.

For the civilians. Not for the senshi or the Zodiac, whoever they were they could all burn in hell if they were keeping civilians up there against their will. Or harming them, or exploiting them for whatever senshi wanted out of this. The Negaverse wanted energy and control; what their bow-wearing counterparts wanted, she wasn't so sure. Were they competing for the resources of energy and starseeds? That wouldn't make any sense, because no senshi she'd ever meant had tried to hurt her. In fact, every single one had tried to save her--the scale-bearer from the centipede monster. The golden one from Zinkenite. Taranis from monsters both human and inhuman…

The only good Negaverser she'd ever met was… none of them. Even Wolframite had done terrible things, though he'd been kind to her for a time. Probably just a whim. She had to ignore it, get over it and past it. She crossed the street to a doorway in a slight recess, reached out for her apple in her mind, and then her heavy backpack was suddenly much lighter. Avalon Page approached the statue of Apollo at War, ignoring a senshi with dark wings attached to her a**. Probably it meant something specific. Avalon did not really care, not right then. There was Justice to pursue.

When Virgo arrived, she seemed relieved that no one was dead. She also didn't comment on Scylla's presence, or the long radio silence the two had endured. It hadn't been for lack of attempts to contact her friend, but...

Well, she could only try for so long.

Silently, she gathered up the auburn-haired page's hand and Scylla's, and then ported them up to the Surrounding.

So far, Europa had kept her nose out of the hostage situation. Some people had to stay behind at the home front, she reasoned, and besides, she had too much to worry about without going to space every night. Her injury at the council meeting, followed by her subsequent high-security grounding from Angus had kept her on the sidelines longer than she'd have liked, but Ganymede's urgent phone call finally gave her reason to trample the rose bushes once more.

At least the wound on her side wasn't threatening to split open every time she tried to run anywhere, thought Europa as she caught her breath in the shadow of Apollo. This was where she was supposed to meet a Zodiac, wasn't it? She couldn't help but feel a certain fondness for the guard - even though she hadn't seen Giselle in ages, her early acquaintance with Libra had not been forgotten.

Her backpack was heavy on her shoulders, and Europa shifted her weight from foot to foot uncomfortably. For once in her life, having a father who worked in medical supplies instead of some more exciting field was paying off. Her old Janesport was stuffed with saline solution, sterile gauze, hydrogen peroxide, bandages, liquid stitches, ibuprofen and some stronger stuff, epi-pens... even some medical supplies that she couldn't see herself ever using under any circumstances. It was a good field medicine kit, though - she'd have to prepare one for herself when she got back home.

If the DMC was at the Surrounding like Ganymede had said, then Europa didn't see any reason why she shouldn't be. If the forces of chaos were so intent on bringing the fight to the senshi, then there was no law saying that the senshi couldn't thow the fight right back into the negaverse's face.

The senshi of the deep tapped her foot on the ground and waited. She was eager to get going, to find out what the situation was from the Jovians who'd been on the front for weeks now, and to figure out how to do something about it.
