Opal contently munched away while swishing her tail back and forth. She didn't seem to worried about getting home now. She finished her meal then climbed out of the creek. She stood next to Ion then gave herself a good shake making sure to get him wetter then he already was. "So then home?"

"Yes ma'am, we must get you home and safe and stuffed full of apples. Also I need to call off all the search parties and such that are still furiously looking for you. Tide might be gone a bit because I sent him into the mountains. Thali is tying himself in knots at your disapearance. I am so glad you are safe."
Enthallion and Tao finally reached the river. " I thought for sure I would find them here Tao. I suppose we will have to go home now and see if any of the others found her." The stallion looked a little disheartened. He had thought he had figured it out.

Opal started for home. "Right now I just would prefer to be home." She trotted along side Ion until they reached home many hours later. She flopped down in the grass then rolled over on her side happy to be home. "Finally!"

Tashi nuzzled him. "Its ok Thali, I'm sure Ion or Tide have already found her and they're both waiting for us at the tree probably mumbling something about us being late or you being slow or something along those lines." She said teasingly. "We'll find her, I promise Thali."

"I believe you Tao. Race you home?" he said. When they reached the herd Enthallion saw that Tao had been right. There was his mother and Ion curled under the tree. A new horse who slightly resembeled Tide and Ion stood a little way off grazing on fine, green grass stems.
Ion curled next to Opal and curled his neck around hers. He promptly fell asleep only to wake up to "MOMMMY!!!" Upon when he was trampled by Enthallion trying to get to Opal.

Opal brought up her head. "Thali" She yawned a bit. "You alright?" She bristled a bit catching a scent off him. A female? What had Thali been doing? She could feel her protective instincts kicking in.

Tashi smiled at the idea of a race and kicked into gear the whole way back. When they got there, she saw a white mare with colorful markings whom she assumed to be the missing Opal. She kept her distance from the group as she watched Thali run up to his mother. Tashi now spotted another stallion. "I wonder who that could be..." She thought. Tao shifted from side to side in nervousness, wondering what Thali's mother would think of her.

"Yes mom I am alright. Are you?" he asked in concern, she didn't look hurt, just tired but he had to know. "Mother there is someone I would like you to meet, this is Taoshira. She helped me look for you and I would probably be lost right now if it hadn't been for you."
Ion grumbled at the trampling and rolls over, bumping gently into Opal so that they were still touching.
Hellfyre watched silently. He was unsure what to do.
Tide trailed into the herd and flopped down. "Hey Hellfyre, its about time you dragged your butt down from the north."

Opal eyed the other mare. She shifted uncomfortably. "Get her out of here now! How dare you bring anybody around the herd! They can be dangerous." She normally wasn't this cranky. She was packing around extra pounds, she wasn't in the best of moods lately and now Thali was bringing strangers around her. She really wanted to beat her sons head against the tree. "She is not welcomed here so you had better remove her from my sight now." That was final she was not about to have any strange mares roaming in her herd.

Enthallion glared at his mother, "She is no more dangerous than you your highness." Thali turned towards Ion. "I won't be spending the night here Dad I will keep Tao company, she has no home. Come Tashi we will go while mother simmers down." He whispered to the young mare, don't take it personaly, I think Ion likes you, Mother is having a really bad day I guess, we will go to our spring where you will be comfortable." Enthallion was really hurt that his mother would reject his girlfriend so quickly and vehemently.
"You don't think you went a little over the edge there my love?" Ion asked Opal.

Taoshira took a couple steps back, scared at the mares hostility. "I-Im sorry to intrude. Dont worry about it Thali...dont leave your home just for me." She tried to keep a confident and calm facade but she was really hurt on the inside. "I-Ill go now." She said as she backed away a lot before turning and running. Tears flooded her eyes, rejected again, she thought.

Opal got up looking rather cranky at Ion. "Fine have strangers around. I don't care. But don't expect me to stick around here." She turned tail and left the tree herself. To hell with them. She was only allowing Hellfyre into the herd because he was a blood relation. But she felt uncomfortable with the sudden additions to the herd. Though she really did not understand why she was feeling this way at all.

Don't be rediculous Tashi, I am coming with you." Enthallion rushed after her. "She is normally a sweet and loving mare but right now she woke up on the wrong side of the pine needle bed." He wiped her tears away from her eyes.
"Opal don't be ridiculous." Ion followed her. " I'm not letting you sleep alone after your disapearance scared me so much. I don't ever want to be more than five feet from you ever again."
The departures left Tide and Hellfyre alone at the tree. "So how are mom and dad?"
"They are good, I think they are looking forward to being alone together for a while."

Opal turned on him then stomped on his hoof. "Leave me alone!" She then stormed off into the darkness that had fallen around them. "You all can just go enjoy your herd. I'll no longer have any part of it."
