Stage One
Jericho had heard of this obstacle course. A flaming death trap. Now this sounded like his sort of activity. Aside from how warm it was, it seemed to be a rather suiting challenge. This wasn't the only reason for him coming. He knew Riley wanted to speak with the guy at the end of the course. If he could help it, he was going to aid here here.
Fire was not something that bothered him typically, but he found that his humanoid form wasn't... as resistant to flames as his true form.
Those scales kind of helped a lot with providing protection. Those scales he didn't have here.
Still, he wasn't scared.
Signing the papers, he nodded to Hex. Well that seemed fair enough. It'd be too easy if he could just... fly over the whole damn course. As far as natural abilities went, there wasn't a whole lot of sense in trying to give the course more fire.
Seeing the hurdles up ahead, he took in a breath and ran and tried to jump them.
Unfortunately he didn't quite jump high enough, crashing through the flaming hurdles. The fire didn't bother him much... it was the fact that one of the hurdles had impaled him upon breaking that caused him to burst into FEAR.
((FAIL))

Part 1 Goal: 30+
Willow had seen the course and well, Nox was convincing to at least give the thing a shot. The byakko decided to do just that, she'd had fun with the game that was run in the open house by the fitness club this shouldn't be that much different.
Her tail flickered as she stepped on to the course. Suddenly fire was everywhere. The tiger's eyes grew wide and she gave an owlish blink before gun shots made her move. She'd jumped over the hurtles and was now frowning at her tail... She looked back, well besides being a little burnt on her tail, she'd made it at least. Of course that was only one of... four?

(( Levi is going the course with Demi owob ))
Bouncing in circles around the hound, Levi was expecting some amazingly delicious burgers. She hadn't been to a WunnyBurger place before, but she'd heard some students talk about it before and persuaded her fellow meat-enthusiast puppy pal along with her. It really didn't take much when double bacon burgers were mentioned. Rex, ever eaten won'a them before?
Her ears twitched happily as they exited the campus... only to see a strange sign ahead. What tha- who they calling' wusses?! Looking to Demi with a crinkled nose, the tatzel's tail whipped along in disapproval of this claim.
Ma didn't raise no wuss...
C'mon... let's see what'this is all'bout!
Nox had them writing on forms? ...Lawyers? Levi whispered to Demi while she signed her name off into oblivion. What'sa lawyer?

((What Neko said trololol))
As much as the Tatzel's frolicking should have pissed the Hellhound off, he too was excited over the burgers that would soon fill his tummy. If it was one thing he knew they both could agree on, was that food is good. "Nope Levi, but I heard a lot about them." he replied back, there was always a couple in the fridge labeled "Dad's. Don't touch Demi." in bold print all over the wrapper and it made him very curious as to why he would go to such lengths.
He didn't notice the sign at first, he was slowly being carried away by the smell of cooked meat like a sirens call, at least until Levi called out the alarm of being called a wuss. "Wusses where? Are they flipping the burgers?" he barked back until Levi started to meow about checking it out.
"But what about the burgers!?" he whined with all his might but fell on Levi's deaf ears. "Ahh...... once again WunnyBurger, you manage to escape me." he mourned pitifully as he glanced back at the storefront before going in tow with the tatzel. He didn't pay much attention to the form and signed it in his rage over the lack of protein. "I know what its not, delicious meat products."

Stage 1
The squirrely-looking boil handed her a sticker after approving of the form. Not thinking much of it, she just said thanks! and stuck it on her chest. Then her tail felt a tingle and became just a bit more heavier than usual. The tatzel always had an energy about her, but when that sticker stuck- a woozy feeling came over her. Ugh...what...what just...
Then Hew spilled the beans. WHADDAYA MEAN I CAN'T- oh...it was only temporary. Once the boil began to explain that it was about the fairness and proving oneself without the use of abilities, Levi tapped her chin in thought and in a moment nodded her head. Well, alright. Ain't gonna matter ta me, nope.
Sure, she had doubts. Hell be frozen over if she'd mention it aloud in front of a couple of smart-mouthed boils though. The part about dissipating and getting KO'ed had the tatzel grit her teeth in anger. That would not be her.
There wasn't just herself to think of though; if Rex was going ... Levi'd always thought to look out for the hound. Sure, he had a roughness about him from time-to-time, but overall, he was not a fighter. If there was any trouble, she try to get between it for the fun of it his benefit.
C'mon, Rex! Let's go! yeeehaaaww!! Like a battle cry, the ghoul cackled her hillbilly call out into the open air before making a gallop for the start of the course.
Well then- this was certainly turning into a course of a different color. Suddenly flames...and they were EVERYWHERE The part that really got Levi, though? The voices that made comments and laughed at them... for her, specifically the one that said "You sure do got a purty mouth..."
that brought back memories of certain events back home. An unusual tone to her normal complexion added with her swiveling around towards the direction of the voice would be her downfall. She slipped. Her intent had been to use her tail to swivel, but now that it had gone soft, she lacked the power to do so and wavered on her way down toward the fiery pit.
JACK-!!!

STAGE 1
Demi handed in the paper in a huff, and received a sticker to his forehead. Nice. Stickers were awesome but there was something about this one. It was such an odd sensation that the hound was feeling as he tottered on his feet for a brief moment. Little did he know that the green whisps of smoke and his tattoo's stopped glowing. "I feel kinda... odd." he said plainly before hearing the explanation as to why. "Well gee, thanks for telling me so late squirrel-y boil! Well, we can't stop now right?" he asked rhetorically.
Little did he know they indeed couldn't turn back. The hound's ears went up in a panic when the fire began igniting everywhere. "What the Jack?!" he barked out in shocked as he clung his tail to his chest. Why did it have to be fire? He wanted to turn to Levi to see if she was alarmed as he was.
He should have realized that it wasn't the case. The only other thing to do was to move forward as he kept pace with the white furred ghoul. "Jackdammit Levi, instead of eating burgers, we're gonna get grilled!" He hopped along the hurdles as best as a Hound on two feet could. the action was swift, but awkward as he floundered and flopped after each hop. "Cmon, think like a BunnyWunny!" he growled to himself as he picked up the unbalanced Levi and placed her on his back. "Without your tail as a counterbalance, your sunk, just... hold on tightly!" he told Levi as they hopped their way out of the hurdles.

Ahh Willow was having a decent run towards those flaming... hops? When all of a sudden... out of no where something hit Willow causing her to trip into the fiery rings. "Oh Jack." Was the last thing anyone heard from the tiger as she disappeared from the course.
Ohh she was going to feel that when she woke up in the infirmary.

Stage 2
It caught the ghoul completely by surprise when Demi caught her up before the ends of her pigtails could get singed by the boiling heat beneath her. ... Opening her mouth to say something to the extent of WHADDAYA THINK YER DOIN? when the hound had her in a puppypiggyback, she decided now was not the time to snarl at him. He had done it with her best interest in mind- just as she would've done had the situation been in reverse. Boil or not- she owed him one.
Thanks, Rex. Sure did have me fer 'a sec that. Goshdarned Jackin'- Balling up a fist at the thought of being caught off guard, her chain of absolutely profound profanities was cut off when she noticed the next challenge. Ya'll gotta be kiddin' me. Going back to Demi's mentioning of being grilled, the tatzel was halfly believing it now. Tatzels 'er probably too rough ta eat... Rex, ya think gnomes eat students? She wasn't going to give them the benefit of knowing what her innards tasted like. She'd get through still raw and mobile.
Climbing down onto her own two feet again, Levi decided she'd have to be especially careful with her movements. It was true- without her tail being that extra support, she'd have to reply on the normal methods of walking and jumping; two feet and no tail. I'm goin' in! Before Demi could say anything, she crouched and lept through ring after ring.

<Stage One: Fail> With a pounding heart Lamonte smiled waveringly at the squirrly man as he exchanged the now signed form for what Hexidecimal had called a "participation sticker", carefully sticking it at the bottom edge of his vest. The sharp "Lamonte!" - and that was new, the imperious teru teru bozu actually using his name - had him turning and watching with increasingly wide eyes as Meir dissipated before him. A distressed sound escaped him as his eyes quickly flickered over everything and nothing in search of comfort, biting back the weak gasp that attempted to follow at the realisation that Meir was simply gone. Lamontes legs shook, and he was distantly aware of Hexidecimal telling him not to panic - something about natural abilities and fairness - while he was being ushered towards and across the obstacle starting line. Eyes watering, he chewed at his lip, desperate not to blink down tears that were rapidly being evaporated by the sudden wall of fire that was currently closing in from behind, singing the fur of his coat. Wiping at his nose with a gloved hand, Lamonte made a herculean effort to squash down the still rising panic, eyes squeezing shut tightly before stepping forward... ...Only to crash head over heals into the first hurdle, sending flaming hurdles crashing across the field in domino effect, his shocked cry cut short as he dissipated, reforming to the sound of Meirs 'kekeke'ing laugh at the nearest FEAR clinic.

STAGE 2 "I wouldn't put it past those little Jackers to eat students." Demi said back, once again cursing his luck of following the tatzels lead into this agility show.
He was not a show hound!
"And don't mention it Levi." The green eared boil replied back quietly, completely surprised by his own actions too. "No seriously. DON'T mention it." he punctuated his request to her, she was rather thick headed at times.
Once they were free of the hurdles, Levi jumped off his sore back, much to his own pleasure, there were no more puppyrides going on for the rest of the day.
And it had to be Rings. ON FIRE. great. "Go ahead, I'll be here, whimpering." he watched as the cat like creature went out and hopped around much like one through the rings. REALLY, how was he supposed to follow that?
"Alright here goes!" Damien rook a running start and hopped through the rings as fast as his little canine legs would let him, along with the mutterings about not getting burnt until he jumped through the last one with a floppy dismount. "Did I make it?" he asked Levi with his hands over his eyes. it didn't even dawn on him that he went through it blind.

Stage 3
Sonov'ah jack'in'tha'box... catching her breath, she leaned down with her hands resting on her knees. Sidestepping for the hound to dismount, Levi had to hold out an arm to keep him from going too far.
The hound had been jumping blind. Blind
Raising a brow with a smirk, she had to give the pup a laugh. Yea, yer outta tha cooker, Rex. S'alright. kekeke~ open up. Now- they still had the bloodthirsty student-hungry gnomes and their BBQ challenge to deal with. The next part didn't look any less scalding. But-...wait...
...are they- movin'? Jackin' candlesticks.
Indeed, they were minis that were both fiery and looking to explode. Two of them wound around each other to produce a display of just might what happen if either she or the hound happened to come into contact with one.
No way.
So- I'd say avoid tha critters, eh Demi. She was concentrating hard on the movements of the bombs as they swayed around, tangling and unraveling amongst each other. Looks ta be... all 'bout tha timin'. I'm goin' ...-
She watched them move like they were her prey, only with the opposite in mind; she wanted to avoid catching them. Edging forward in a somewhat crouched posture, the tatzel waited for the right moment and- NOW!
Ran through the bombs as quickly as she could.

STAGE 3 He... he made it? The hound pulled his hands off his eyes and saw that they weren't burnt at all. "I haven't been cooked yet." Demi said incredulously as they walked toward the next task and.
"Unholy crap....."
They were mini's on ropes. and he watched alongside the ghoul as two wound up together and set off into a firey explosion that promised pain and misery for any caught in it. "Urk.... we have to make it through..... that?" he said dumbly, already knowing the answer.
It didn't mean he won't hope the answer would change.
After finding his nerves, he watched to see if there was any sort of pattern to the madness. "Yeah, no kidding. I'm right behind you!" he said and followed behind the tatzel's steps, like a deadly game of follow the leader. "No burnt Demi, no burnt Demi, no burnt Demi." was the only mantra on his lips as the frightened hellhound bobbed and weaved pass the bomb filled tether-ball zone.

Stage 4
They'd both made it out alive. So far. Nice goin' thar, Rex. She patted the hound on his shoulder with huffed breaths, glad they'd cleared that hurdle safely.
But what came up ahead had her jaw drop and stay dropped in disbelief. Sure- the fiery pond was something to behold, but given their recent gruesome challenges with fire, this wasn't much of a surprise. The piranha skitters, however, had the ghoul going through flashbacks of all those times she'd picked up a fish and sucked the flesh right from their bones.
It was like payback. The gnomes weren't going to eat her- oh no. The fish were.
The ghoul narrowed her eyes and peered up at the sky as if to say ARE YOU SERIOUS?! before looking back to the hound with round and somewhat shaken eyes.
Don't look like there's much 'ahead after this. Her face was stern and serious. If we git through this- ...them burgers 'er gonna be miiiiighty sweet. She'd considered just bounding off back on her way to get burgers and forgetting the course altogether. This, however, was not an option. Not only did she not have the ability to do so at the moment, but Demi would be left in the dust. The tatzel would never leave a friend behind. It had to be a swift run across the rocks or nothing at all- but searing pain followed by an explosion into FEAR bits.
She tried her best to sternly nod to Demi, wanting to drive some confidence into him. Now 'er never-!

Damien was panting up a storm, all the heat from the obstacles was starting to make him sweat. That funky wet dog smell was starting to come back and he was HATING IT. "Ugh, is it over yet, I need a shower and to stay away from fire for the rest of the month." he moaned pitifully before letting Levi pat him on the back for surviving.
If only there was a bed as an obstacle, and let it not be on fire.
But no, life was never that easy as they trekked up to the lake that was aglow with flames. "Well, what a surprise!" he yelled out sarcastically, already fed up with the firey theme. "Fish on fire, not good eats." he said over to levi whom he knew had a love of the little fishy's. It would have been hilarious to see her try to eat one of those if they were still alit.
he heard Levi say the end was in sight.
That meant they could get burgers.
"Burgers?" he asked teh ghoul quietly as if she was telling a sick joke to him before he went bounding through the lava lake without a care in the world and leaving Levi behind him. Which led to a few stumbles over the trick rocks that sunk into burning piranha skitter water.
"Ah JACKDAMMIT!"
"BURGERS!" ^o^

JACK DANGIT-
Levi hadn't considered her words carefully enough. The hound was up and over the pond, not looking all that sharp about his steps. That was focus enough for her to set off over the pond herself, as precise about her movements as she could be. There was no better motivation than to keep Demi from becoming the BBQ pup he always dreaded being.
HOLD UP! She caught up to the boil before he could become crispy hound nuggets for the piranha skitters. Scooping the boil up like she would a small scarling, Levi held Demi under his knees and arms in a lift. She jumped one step at a time, keeping her timing and avoiding the flaming fish that threatened to chomp on their fluffy tails.
Once on the other side, absolutely taken down in nearly every way, Levi fell to her knees, still cradling the hound until her arms gave out as well. Nox was there to greet them with a less than positive response as far as the tatzel could tell. She had it in her mind to bite through his limbs right there and then. She'd rather just lay there, though.
Once she'd conjured enough energy to stand, she offered out an arm for Demi to grasp and gave Nox a leering look once she'd accepted his offering. C'mon Rex.... we need us some burgers after 'all this. I'm demandin' triple bacon...
TRIPLE. JACKIN'. BACON.
