Anaon’s bright green eyes widened in gleeful shock and a slight blush appeared on her countenance, “You are enamored with me?” She looked down at her hooves and then back up to the stallion, a big smile on her face, “I feel the same about you, which is strange, since we just met, but it feels so right when I am with you Lucian.”

He spoke honestly, his heart beating rapidly. "How could I not be enamoured with you? How could anyone not?" He nuzzled her gently, blushing again. "Do you believe...that...we were supposed to meet this way? That maybe, we were both supposed to wander until we found the other? My father says it happens like that. That one day you find someone--who makes you feel..." He stammered.

She listened to his words and sensed his increase in the beating of his heart, hers soon followed, she could not believe her ears, but in a happy giddy disbelief, “Well they were usually yelling at me for disturbing the peace,” she tried to make light of her feelings, but knew that there was no use, “You are so kind Lucian, and so amazingly different from anyone that I have ever met before.” Anaon turned her bright green gaze on the stallion standing beside her, “I believe that the world works in mysterious ways and our meeting is only one of the wonderful things yet to come… Makes you feel what Lucian? How we feel now? As if time could stand still and we would not even notice?” She gave him a lovely smile; she hoped that is what he was feeling at this moment in time.

"Are you sure it's not standing still? That this moment won't last forever, just you and me because it's so perfect?" He pushed his face against hers gently, in the affectionate way he had seen Karloff do Ailbhe.

Anaon blushed at Lucian’s words, she loved feeling this way, the giddy happiness of being with someone who cares deeply for her, “Perhaps time is standing still and I have just been too blind to notice, for it is only you that I see. This moment is truly perfect Lucian.” She nuzzled the pale stallion.
The mocha colored mare contemplated the stallion’s question, “Being with you is better than the ecstasy of drinking blood, it is like wave upon wave of different emotions and I do not want it to stop. There are so many in the world, but none of them can properly describe the feelings I have toward you. Is that how it is for you? The way you described it just now? Or is there more?”

"I think we feel the same," a shiver of delight went over his skin. "I think the only person in the world that knows how I feel right now is you." It felt as if he was connecting with her, like all the rest of the world was blind to what was going on here. Only they existed--all alone in the world. Just them, here. Now. That's all that existed. That's all that mattered. It is everything.
He leans in toward her and nuzzles her neck again softly, "Maybe we...were made for this? Maybe I was made for you?"

The only person in the world. The sensation of butterflies filled the mocha colored mare’s stomach, Lucian was making her feel like a giddy filly who was in the presence of her long time crush; she enjoyed the feelings that he created in her, it just seemed right. “The feelings we both share at this instant is perfect, nothing can lessen the bond that we have formed during this frozen piece of time.” She looked at Lucian with her bright green eyes, wanting to absorb everything in this perfect moment.
She closed her eyes as he nuzzled her neck, inhaling his sweet scent that reminded her of so many amazing things, “And perhaps I was made for you.”

"Maybe we can hold on to this one perfect moment forever?" He questioned out loud and within himself. In this moment, there was no doubt of the future of the past of anything. Being made for each other felt right, it was right. And this moment, could not and would not fade.
"I don't think there's any perhaps about it," he whispered on her skin.

“In my heart, this moment will never end and you shall always be with me,” she leaned against the stallion, the one who made her heart beat faster and a sensation to fill her being that she has never experienced before this day. She smiled at Lucian, “You are right, it was meant to be, we were made for each other; two souls that when together become one.”

Lucian rubbed his nose against Anaon's face. "One," he kept his face against her skin. What more was there to say or do? They were connected, this moment could be both eternity and...a mere moment. "I'll never leave you, always in your heart."

Anaon took in a deep breath, filling her senses with his sweet exotic scent that sent her heart racing, she knew that this moment was going to end, but forever locked in her heart; she will have this moment and relish it until the day that they will be reunited. A thought filtered through her mind, why does she have to leave him? She does not need to get the flower… angry she pushed that thought away, no matter what she would help her sister, but perhaps Lucian could come with her… she gave a mental shake of her head, no, she could never ask him to leave his family to go on what could be a suicidal mission.

Lucian kept close. He knew that time was drawing late, that she'd have to leave any moment. More than anything, he wanted her to stay--for this moment to last forever. But already time was pressing in, pulling her from him. "Do you really have to go?"

Sounds of the night surrounded the two soquili; she stood close enough to Lucian that she could hear the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, thudump, thudmp. The time had come, like she knew it would, but she had hoped in her heart that she could spend more time with Lucian, but she needed to get everything organized before she left in two weeks for the lifeless desert. Anaon looked at Lucian, sorrow in her bright green eyes, “Yes,” it came out to a pained whisper, “I need to do this for my sister and my mother… if there is a way for me to help them be with the ones they love without burning them or being burned, I would do anything in my power to do so… and this quest may be the answer that I have been looking for… I don’t want to leave you, but promise me that we will see each other before I leave? Say maybe in one week we meet back here and say our goodbyes?”

Lucian pulled closer to her, leaning his head next to her. The sounds of the night only meant today that she would have to leave. "I promise. I'll see you then, I'll wait for you. I vow that. Just...return to me?" He looked up, moved by sudden emotion again as he nuzzled her. "Not goodbye, just blessing your parting because we will meet again."

Anaon took in a deep breath, filling her nostrils with his alluring, delicious scent, ingraining it in her memory until they meet again, “I promise that I will return to you, for you Lucian, will be forever in my heart. What happened this night was something foretold by fate, I was meant to meet you and even if it has only been a few hours, give my whole heart to you.” She smiled at the pale stallion, again she was tempted to ask him to come with her, to never leave her side, but she could not place him in that situation, making him chose between family and her.
“Lucian, you are right, it is never truly a goodbye,” the tiny mocha colored mare nuzzled against the stallion. She stood there, not speaking, just breathing and listening to the steady beat of Lucian’s heart, she gave a small laugh, “I don’t want to leave you, my body seems to be rebelling and not wanting to move away from you.”
