"What?" He called back when she yelped his name. He took his attention of the little black thing down the all and focused on the door that Lainy was behind. "Not going to leave you. I promised I would stay and so I'll stay no matter what." he said and waited for a reply.
Few moments later and nothing still. He began to worry "Lai," he called to her and pawed at the door trying to push threw it. Nothing. He looked down the hall and the little black creature was gone...

Lainy heard him call for her, though was silent. She pawed at the door, glancing at the BCR again. When she went to touch it again she screamed, red eyes glaring at her from under the bed. The creature slipped out, twitching over to her. Frightened now, more frightened then she had ever been, she backed into the door.
Ghost's never came after her. Ever! They either spoke to her or ignored her! Fright hammered into her heart, covering her eyes. "I didn't break it!" She yelped, ears flying back.
Suddenly, the door opened and she fell into the hallway Pan was in. Her fright overwhelmed her, causing her to run into the wall and curl up.

Pan was about to charge the door when suddenly it opened and Lainy came flying out and straight into the wall. When she hit and curled up his heart about stopped. He knew that if you hit your head hard enough it could kill you. He prayed that she was alright.
Carefully approaching her not wanting to startle her he whispered softly, "Lainy?" and licked her check encouraging her to get up. "Lainy we need to leave. We can't stay much longer," he whispered to her while nudging her cheek. He stood between her and the door she had burst threw to protect her from the mean thing that was after them.

She looked up when Pan spoke, tears in her eyes. "It attacked me!" She squeaked in shock. "They never attack me! Ever!" The shy vixen rose, glancing at the door she had just bolted from.
"Is leaving the best idea?" She asked, looking up at him. She paused, glancing back at the door. Perhaps leaving was the best idea, for now.

A low rumble admitted deep from within Pan's chest. He almost darkened when she said it attacked her. "It most be in some form of rage or something." he did his best to keep his voice in tack.
"I'm sorry but unless you know away to come it and sooth it that your a hundred percent sure will work. I think we need to leave. Like you said it attacked you and they don't do that to you." he pointed out trying not to scare her but to be reasonable with her.

A pout formed on her face, the shy vixen seemed to want to protest. However, she stopped. If she did he could get hurt... and...that was the last thing she wanted. Ever. So, nodding softly, she headed for the stairs.
"Okay." She whispered, ears back. No, she'd return later, when he was gone.

Pan eyed her. He could tell she had wanted to say more than okay but for some reason she didn't and he wanted to know why. Though now wasn't the time he would ask before they parted ways today he decided.
Nudging her cheek to get her to go and as to say he was sorry. "Come on Lai. I'm sorry we can't do more," He told her honestly.

Her head turned back to look at Pan, reluctant. Fine.... she got up and began to follow him out, heading straight for the basement. She wasn't one to give up. She was shy, yes, but she wouldn't just let it go... No. Lainy wasn't that girl.

Pan nudge her cheek apologetically again continuing down to the basement. He went and pushed the window open for her so she could slip out. But he has a funny sinking feeling that she wasn't going to stay away from this place.

When she slipped out she wiggled herself onto the grass, held the window open for Pan, and looked up. She would return and try to bring this ghost to peace, if she could. Maybe they wanted a friend? Maybe they were lonely? Maybe she should bury the BCR? Either way, she knew one thing. As her eyes laid on Pan she frowned.
She couldn't let him come back here.

Pan slipped threw the window with ease. He wasn't a big and bulky fox like other, but more lean and cut. He glanced at Lainy and than the house. He wished he knew what she was thinking but he didnt.
Clearing his throat he suggested "Why dont we go find something to eat or drink?"

"Okay."
She nodded, looking up at him. "I know where there is a lake." Lainy commented, looking up at him with a slight smile, relaxing just a little. She moved away, her ears back. Something felt wrong, but.... she didn't know what.
She was afraid to look back at the house.

"A lake huh? Maybe we can go for a swim. The day seems to be getting warmer don't you think?" Pan commented trying to brighten and change the subject that their minds were on.
He bowed to her and said "Lead the way fair Lainy."

"F-Fair?!" Her blush was bright, head shaking. Oh, she wasn't fair! He was mistaken! Even so she did enjoy the compliment, wandering off to the directon of the lake, hoping he wouldn't notice her expression.
"S-So.... thank you.. for coming to the house with me."

Pan fallowed Lainy quietly not having much to say at the moment. Really what could he say right now? He didn't think he could. "Your welcome it really wasn't a problem." He said giving her a smile.
