He tensed when she curled around her, about to spit at her to just leave, until she spoke. He whirled around, head shaking. "It's not impossible!" He cried out, shadows twirling. "You're perfect!" This was not flattery, Jack didn't flatter. Ever. He stared at her, eyes wide and shaken.
She deserved this much, finding someone perfect, after all she had gone through. That was all he wanted. Her to find someone perfect.

"No... I'm not perfect... If I was perfect I never would have met you. I I was perfect the deer that lead me to you would have been caught long befor it go to the jungle." She felt more tears coming but she held them back. "If I was perfect... My band would still be together and I would be nothing but a dirty thief. But I'm not... and if I was perfect... I wouldn't have let you leave that den in the first place..."

The tears made him snap out of it, staring at her. "Are you blaming yourself for my leaving?" He asked, bewildered. What? Why? He paused, eyes blinking once more. "And how was the band splitting your fault?" He questioned quietly, shocked and very confused. Why? He could tell she was holding them back, trying not to show them. Why? Why was she doing this? Why was he so special when he was just a freak? What was wrong with her? Was she... truly.... did she truly care for him? He hadn't given her anything, hadn't done what most mates would do. Ever. He hadn't showered her with affection or even said "I love you" or anything of the sort.
So why?

She noded. "I didn't get up quick enough.. I talked of the 'k' word." Itwas all her fault. "And my band didnt just split... alot were killed and captured. It was mine and Kaito's job to check for that kind of stuff... Me by air, which was the most important that night. I just failed them all... " She looked away, still curled around him.

"Kits. You really think that is what caused it?" He stopped, looking at her like she was an idiot. "I want to be perfect. I want to be able to have children that won't deal with what I did." He stated, staring at her. Then she mentioned the band, eyes narrowing.
"So you're going to wallow over it forever? What's done is done. You can't get it back. All you can do is live for them, live for the lives lost." He stopped, head turning to the side before quietly, very quietly saying:
"I...want kids...."

"At first yes... Kits can be a touchy subject for anyone." She lowered her head "You dont have to be perfect..." Not for me. She nodded over the Band. She rarely thought about it. "Wait... You do?" She slightly loosened her grip on him.

He nodded, looking at the ground. Of course he did, though, he knew he never told her before. He just.... She wasn't his life-mate, and Jack wasn't good with those kind of words. How does one ask another to be their life-mate? Ugh.... with sappy words, and he wasn't full of them. No, he wasn't. Yet he had to ask, right? It was he mans job, after all.
Jesus, he was a wreck. How was she still sitting there, dealing with him after all this? Sometimes he wondered if she was dropped on her head as a kit.

"Hey Jack.... " She rested her head on his back. "If you ever need to say something you can say it... It doesn't have to to special. I could be as blunt as hell. Or mean. But with me you can just say it." She smiled a bit at him. She wanted to let him know in anyway possible that it was OK to be himself around her. That she didn't judge. They she really cared.

Fine, he'd say it. Quietly, he looked over, nodding.
"Be my life-mate?" He asked her, looking at her seriously. If she said no he'd merely get up and leave. He was the kind to take things very personally when it came to such things. She was his girlfriend, he wanted her as his life-mate, it meant more than just girlfriend in his eyes. It was like marriage in a way. This meant he'd have to admit how he felt one day, and soon if she said yes.

Sayre smiled at Jack. "Only... if you will be my life mate too." She gave him a kiss on the cheek, then on the lips. She was slowly becoming happier. He was there, he wanted her as much as she wanted him. "And if you every try to leave me again I will hunt you down and stick you in my fluff and you will stay there." She nudged him jokingly.

Jack rolled his eyes, responding to the kiss with his own, standing, and stretching. "Can we move to my forest, then? I hate the heat here....And I have a den?" He commented. He liked his forest better than her desert, and anyway, it'd be safer where he was. More food and water for the two of them.

"Of course. I could use a chage of scenery anyway." Sayre looked around at the old bottle of the fun liquid, perhaps she could take one back for a celebration. "I'll come back for some of my stuff. I don't need it now." She leaned against Jack, wrapping her tail around his.

(( Few days later ))
Jack was relaxing in his den. Sayre had ran off to do something, something he didn't really care to know, as long as she came back. He was trying to sleep, until he heard a loud, obnoxious scream of joy from his right, poking his head out of his den to spot the most annoying kit. Yet, she wasn't a kit anymore. No she had grown. "OH JACKIE BOO!"
Chrome came hopping out of the bushes, searching for her friend from kithood. When she spotted a black muzzle, she darted towards the shadowy den, stuck her nose in, and saw yellow glowing eyes glaring at her.
"How is Jackie boo?" She cooed, giggling when he hissed at her.

Sayre had raided o few thinks from her old cave, nothing much. A few shiney things and drink she really liked. As she was heading back to Jack she heard a squeal. Jackie Boo... She snarled a bit and slipped into the dark shadows. She saw a vixen with glitter all over and stars on her. Who is this chick... She hunkered close to the ground and watched, if she tried anything with her mate she tear the vixen from limb to limb.

'What the hell are you doing here, Chrome?!" Jack hissed as he swatted at her. Chrome giggled, tail wagging side to side before she suddenly hopped into his den. Jack snarled, darting out of his den, bristling when Chrome exited, looking playful as ever.
"Jackie Boo, it's been forevvvvverrrrr. I'm big now! See? Like my hair?"
"No, I don't, now go away."
"It smells like another girl in there!" Chrome cooed out, causing Jack to turn red. Chrome winked, circling Jack. "Does Jackie Boo have a mate?! Ooooo! Can I see her? Please please please?!"
