If Mitsu had mentioned her idea, Mot would have encouraged it with all his heart. A collage of friends was a wonderful thing to have, for sure.
Oh right! The story. He had almost forgotten. Mot smiled, nodding and making his way to sit with her on the bed. "Alright then. Now where was I..." Mot thought back to his story, nodding to himself before continuing on.
"So, the spotter was gone. Now I had to defeat the other wraiths still guarding the poor innocent ghost residents. They were probably being held up in the center of town, and I needed to get there without being taken out by snipers. So, I had to be quiet, stealthy, and most of all I needed to keep a keen eye out. I slipped past the gate, running behind a stack of barrels. From there, I could see a few more wraiths waiting for an ambush. They knew I was somewhere in the village. They were waiting. I carefully aimed from the safety of the barrels and fired. I got most of them but a couple spotted me and started shooting. The barrels, filled with water and rice, exploded and I had to roll out of the way and behind a building. It was a full blown shoot out!"
Boy, this was making him tired! Mot rubbed his eye, but continued his story.
"I had to run through the back alleys, crash through windows. Running from attack and taking out wraiths that sought to stop me. Eventually. The town was wraith free, and I stood alone in the town's center. Slowly, noises. The clicking of doors unlocking and soon, the residents of the town began to appear. Then, they surrounded me. I thought for sure it was an ambush, but then... they started to clap. They clapped, applauded, and cheered. The villagers were free, and I was the town hero."
The story was almost at an end, and the excitement in his voice was brought down to a lower, calmer tone.
"They offered bags of silver for what I had done. But, not driven by greed, I declined. They needed that silver to keep their little town running. It had been a hard win, but I had set at ease the pain of the villagers. I stayed the night for free, and that morning, before anyone had even thought about waking up, I rode off into the foggy morning, off to find another town to save."

Mitsu was enthralled by the story as soon as Mot continued to tell it. The tale he weaved was only driven more by the excited tone of his voice. A couple of times though, Mitsu yawned, story time was making her drowsy but she didn't want to miss what would happen. Like a little kid she wanted to know the end. Did the story have a happy ending?
At first, Mitsu wasn't so sure. It seemed like Mot was going to be in for some trouble but as it turned out the villagers were thankful. Her tail began to wag a bit as the story came to a close. "That was a good story." She smiled behind her mask, hands clasped in front of her. The lycan could just picture this western setting and the shot out that Mot described, though it was a bit more played down in her mind. "Thank you for the story." Mitsu's voice was already becoming airy again as she found herself slumping closer and closer to the bed. "I enjoyed it."
It seemed like she was trying to fight the matter at hand but as soon as she tilted to far to the side gravity took over and Mitsu's head hit the pillow. It seemed even before she made touch down though she had fallen to sleep. The ghoul really had been quite tired.

Mitsu was finally asleep, and seeming to be resting peacefully. He smiled softly, proud that he had succeeded, and happy his friend was getting the rest she needed.
He stood up, turning to get the ghoul under her blankets. No need for her to get a chill now, right? Once she was snug in her bed, Mot left the room silently, locking the door from the inside before shutting it.
Now, he was in the hallway.
...
How... what way was out again? The monster dorms were a maze.
. . .
"I should have simply stayed the night..."
