Despite Shun's lack of intention to ride him, it unfortunately did not absolve Tro of the responsibility to carry out his Clan's laws. While no longer a spar, Petro was thankfully not obligated to engage a fight to the death. Prior to almost being ridden, Tro had been enjoying the match. He would rather not lose a skilled sparring partner and potential alley to his self-labeled herd.
As Shun moved his bad ankle out of harm's way, Tro placed his weight on his attacking foot, intending to bring his other knee towards Shun's body. Even when shadows formed around the reaper's hands and warning bells rang in Tro's head, the tikbalang continued with his attack. Only to pay with metal digging into his chest and cutting skin. He stumbled back, a hand rising to press against the thin line bleeding scarlet that Shun's weapon had drawn. The grin on Tro's face turned absolutely feral at that point, reaching ear to ear in glee. "Haw! 'Bout time y' got serious!"
Unarmed, Tro should be at a disadvantage against Shun now. But from the expression on the horse boil's face, he didn't think so. He closed the distance between them with a few steps before sharply lowering himself down in an attempt at a sweeping kick.

Being so close and with his maneuverability cut down, Shun wasn't able to avoid the knee to his side. It at least didn't hit as hard as it could have due to Tro stumbling back like that. Regaining his footing, he crouched down, getting into his usual stance whenever his daggers were brought into play.
He saw that feral grin on his opponent's face and it stirred up a sort of fighting spirit within himself. The horse boy was certainly a worthy person to take on the battlefield. It was too bad that he currently wasn't at 100% due to one of the things he relied on in a fight being hindered. With how quick and strong Petro was, he would need all the mobility he could manage.
Seeing the kick, he pushed off on his left foot to roll out of the way of the attack. The goal was to get behind the monster before striking. However as he came out to do this, his right ankle gave some, causing him to falter as he lashed out with both daggers.

Petro hadn't expected Shun to be able to get out of the way so quickly but you roll with the punches. Or in the reaper's case, rolled away from the kicks. Still squatting, he used his initial momentum to pivot round to face Shun. From the corner of his eye, the horse boil saw the glint of light against the blades. Tro did not want to consider what part of him would have been sliced had the reaper's precision been in top form. His arms moved without thinking, rising to block the attack, letting his thick bracers taste the bite of steel, the sound of the strike ringing in his ears. The horse boil twisted his hands, deflecting the blades as he makes a grab for Shun's wrists.

Feeling the clang as his blades clashed against Tro's bracers, Shun tried to follow up on the attack. However, his ankle faltered on him once again, causing him to stumble some and allowing the horse monster to grab a hold of his wrists with relative ease. That wasn't good.
"Kuso..." he cursed through his teeth as he gritted them, attempting to break out of the hold by bringing his arms around and pushing down against his opponent's if possible. Something easier said than done, especially since earlier on proved how good of a grip Petro could have at times.

While the direction Petro's arms were being taken was not what the horse boil had initially intended when he managed to catch the reaper, it still meant he was keeping those blades away from his body. But more importantly, as his arms were pressed down, the movement left Shun's face exposed. Which had been the horse boil's aim for his follow through. He let his body flow with the motion, angling his neck back, before sharply jerking his head forward and down into a headbutt aimed straight for Shun's forehead.

Focused with breaking out of the hold, Shun's guard had been down the moment he managed to get out. He had been about to get back into stance and possibly counter attack, but he had been open for too long already. Seeing Petro come at him, he started to try and back away but then a loud crack resounded through the ring, numbing his mind in the process.
Staggering back, he dropped his daggers and fell. The Reaper's eyes were still open, though they weren't all that focused. He might not have been completely knocked out, but it seemed that he wouldn't be able to get up all too soon after taking that hit.

Petro had immediately reached out to grab at the reaper's clothes, planning to use that to keep Shun in place for another attempt at smashing his skull against the other boil when all he managed to grab was air. He blinked to find he had downed his opponent and. Had he been more feral, he wouldn't have stopped attacking. But as he was snapped back to his senses thanks to Shun's earlier strike to his temple, the tikbalang waited, muscles coiled and ready to strike.
When it became obvious that the other boil was not likely to rise anytime soon, the tikbalang's instincts told him he'd done right by his Clan. Which was a relief because Tro did not want to have to seriously injure Shun. The reaper was a worthy opponent and he hoped they could spar again in the future.
He approached the other boil, getting down on one knee in front of Shun, "Blink if y' can hear me."

Groaning, Shun moved a bit on the ground, but he didn't blink. He could see and hear Petro before him but nothing was registering at the moment. His mind was a little too scrambled from that blow to really function correctly right now. So rather than responding to the horse boy in any cohesive manner, he just kind of laid there, moving slightly.

Petro clucked his tongue at Shun's response. It wasn't what he was looking for and while he wasn't particularly worried for Shun (hey, the other boil seemed sturdy enough during the spar, he probably just needed some time to bounce back), he couldn't very well just leave the reaper there! He reached forward, grabbing the other boil's arm gently but firmly to sling it over his shoulder and hoist him up. "C'mon, y' oughta get y'rself looked at. Dunno if the club's medic's around though."
