Robert changed his seat to sit right beside Maddie, giving her a comforting pat on the shoulder. "Of course we are! That's 'cause we're the best. Oooobviously." His eyebrow perked just slightly at the look of panic on her face, and he left his hand on her shoulder, squeezing it just gently. "We're gonna rock this place. Don't you worry."
At Leon's mention of the creepy factor, he put both of his hands on his body as if he was scandalized. "What the hell were they doing to us in those pods?!" He yelped, pulling his shirt out to see if he had any weird holes in his body from probes.
When he dropped the hold on his shirt, he suddenly found Leon.. doing push-ups.
What.
Robert had a befuddled expression as he watched the guy working out in the middle of the meeting, and then help some chick do the same. When did this place turn into the gym?
And then Cass slammed her face into the desk, and it was inevitable what came next.
"BAHAHAAAA, OH MY GOD."
Robert almost slammed HIS face into the desk as he curled over in laughter. That was the best. Ever. BEST EVER.
Still chuckling, he wiped a tear from his eye and laid back in his seat lazily. Ahhh, this place was hilarious.

Marcus let out a collect sight of relief when there was no box of rape opening, no reprimand (okay maybe some), just a group. A unit. Even if it would be filled with testosterone. And their instructor was- out? Out and and-
Balls. Marcus looked at Caelius. This guy was a mystery and he hadn't opened the box. ******** box. Going back to his seat, Marcus gave the box a look. he did not like that box. Seriously. Passing Cassandra he smirked and winked at her. "Just breathe...and try not to do anything impulsive." He stopped. And looked at her, voice still between them. "Just act normal."
Marcus forgot. None of them were normal.

Many things are happening. Many startling, terrifying, embarrassing, confusing things. The one good thing Before had to say about it was "Thank God it's not me," he murmured in relief beneath his breath. He'd not-quite-broken his nose yesterday thank to Gale applying a door to his face, but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as Cassandra's. He did, however, hear Tika being called to the front and he was immediately watching the group for their turn at sorting. Oooooh! *w* All girls!
"Some kinduva Caelius' Angels or something?" he suggested to no one in particular.

The Hunter instructor did not even bother for the last of the trainees to file up before starting handing out papers. "Now you lot who came up here, I am handing out your schedules - your new role - as Mist Hunters. Consider this the probationary category for trainees whom we deemed inadequate of fulfilling another role. You will instead, train and learn the duties of all roles." Was he joking? Did he have a hidden grudge against Mist Hunters? It was impossible to tell. "If your schedule seems a little busier than the others, consider it building character."
"Next, if Ferdinand, Jordan Miller, Jeremy White, Poe Morris, Madeline Blanche, Jerry Collins could make their way to pick up their schedules, chop chop, you still have a fulfilling day ahead for you." He completely ignored any other remarks by the trainees, instead, giving his box a light tap. Was it their imagination or did the box actually shake a little?

Bix gulped. "Ferdinand?" He muttered it but his tone of voice was high, womanly even. "Who the hell is Ferdinand..." He coughed and rose from his seat, stubbing his toe loudly and drawing even MORE attention to himself.
He stuffed his hands in his pockets and hung his head, taking on the 'shaggy-from-scooby-doo' walk in his shame. Caelius said they still had a busy schedule. Did that mean his group? Or everyone.

Suddenly on the spot, Jordan took a deep breath to calm himself, then stood and walked up to the front, shoulders straight, chin up. He didn't regret his behavior in the test; he'd done what he felt was right, and whatever category that put him in, he'd accept it with pride.

Cass stared at the paper she was given, stared at Caelius, then seemed to frown. Completely and utterly frown. Even though it hurt her poor bloodied nose to do so. She seemed to sigh in defeat of this new 'assignment' before she again stared at the schedule she'd been given.
Sigh sigh sigh.
"Yeah, I think I agree." she said, resigning to the fact that she did need help..a lot of help...before she trudged back towards her original seat, sitting in it and slumping.
Oh did she slump.
She slumped all the way down in her seat, seeming to shrink. It was possibly the first thing on that island to have bothered her.
That she was just...inadequate. Way to have proved that three seconds before being called up, Cassandra.
Way to go.

“-Poe Morris, Madeline Blanche, Jerry Collins could make their way to pick up their schedules, chop chop, you still have a fulfilling day ahead for you."
Poe Morris was suddenly paying attention, because Poe Morris always paid attention when the subject at hand was, in fact, Poe ******** Morris. Her head snapped up suddenly, red eyes torn away from their place at the floor. She hadn't been staring down out of any shame or shyness, but as a result of a very simple equation.
Bearability of Boring Instructor Speech – (Attention Span Remaining + Interest Quotient of Feet) / Holy s**t This Guy Just Keeps Talking = ?
In this case, ? = Staring At Own Boots For Half An Hour.
And so Poe had been there, sighing happily while just admiring her own boots until her name was called, and she focused on the only thing in the world that was more interesting than her boots. Herself.
Poe wiggled her toes as she gave them one last, adoring glance - they really were lovely boots – and made her way to the front to pick up her schedule.
“Fulfilling, eh?” she said cheerily, “I fulfilled your mom last night. Oh. Burn.” The girl looked around and held up a hand as she retreated back to the other students.
“High five? Anyone? High five for epic burn. Can I get some skin over here?”

"...Caelius' Angels?" Gale muttered under his breath to Before, giving a small snort of laughter. He shook his head, biting his lip as their instructor spoke to the newest group - the Mist Hunters.
...well. 'Spoke' was a wildly generous term. More like reprimanded. Or perhaps scolded. Or was he kidding? Gale blinked, slightly confused by the fact that Caelius was wearing a deadpan expression while calling the new group inadequate.
So...bloody...confusing.
The next group called didn't include his name, but it did include someone named Ferdinand. Gale's brow furrowed, slightly confused. Who the hell is 'Ferdinand?'
Bix, beside him, stood up looking slightly embarrassed. Gale stared at him.
"Ferdinand? Really?"

Robert gave Jordan a thumbs up as he headed up, before leaning back in his seat.
"Next, if Ferdinand, Jordan Miller, Jeremy White, Poe Morris-"
The next thing Robert saw was the white of the ceiling, as his body had convulsed so violently in surprise, that it flipped his seat right back and landed him on the floor.
He didn't stay there long.
With a surprisingly agile flip, his legs kicked out and his body arched back up to a standing position, bringing both hands up to point directly at the front of the room.
"NO."
He was yelling at Caelius, but his hands quickly pointed at his sister, shaking violently.
"NO, SEE, NO."
He stormed up to the front, his massive body shaking in anger, and stood face to face with Caelius.
"You were supposed to take me, not my little sister. You can't have my little sister, goddamnit! She had a ******** life!"

He was late he was late he was late oh dear this was NOT the way he wanted to start off his soldiering career, that much Jerry Collins knew. The auditorium was packed, and he searched frantically for any familiar face- hah! There WERE familiar faces, now! Although he wondered if the anonymity of the gas masks might have been nice about then. It was easier to vanish in a crowd when you weren't trying to draw attention to yourself when you looked like everyone else.
And then his name was called.
He squeaked in alarm, just as he had managed to find an empty seat.
Initially, he theorized he was about to be reprimanded for his tardiness, but at the sight of Jordan rising (His hair was unmistakable), Jerry breathed a sigh of relief, straightening his glasses and picking up his pace to try to approach the front along side his self-proclaimed sergeant.
"Er... what's going on, Sir?" He hissed to Alpha One in a nervous whisper, although he tried to keep his expression calm and cheery and eager for what lay ahead... no matter what it might be. "I just got here in the nick of time, I'd say!"

"Job assignment," Jordan murmured back to Jerry. "Don't know what the criteria are, but it seems we're to be classified. Excuse me a moment, I need to take care of this." He put his hand briefly on Jerry's shoulder, then dropped it.
"ROBERT," his voice rang out, clear and loud. "Stand down. We were all given a choice. So was your sister. You still have family; many of us never will. Sit the hell down and let her take the choice she's been given." He stared hard at Robert. "We can take this up later if you want. But this is not the time."

Poe had zero intention of dropping her hand until somebody gave her a high five, and so she kept it up in the air even as the commotion behind her caught her attention. She spun on the heels of her lovely boots, looking down to smile appreciatively at them even as she did so. A familiar voice was calling out, and as Poe looked back up, some big, goofy oaf- hey!
That was her big, goofy oaf!
She looked between Robert and the boy who stood up to call after him, dark brows arching as the man issued the words like some kind of order. A wide grin spread across her face, and the hand that was not still held flat in the air gestured to him with a jerk of her thumb, “Bro, are you on your period, because I see you brought a douche with you.”
Poe was now waiting for two high fives.

Bix shot Gale a severe, red-faced look. He tersely rambled, "It's a.. it's a.." his tone dropped "It's a family name. I'm Bix. BIX now."
Don't talk about the name please.
The young hunter glanced over when the big guy, the attractive one with muscles and a girlfriend ALREADY, exploded into some new drama. His sister was here too? Well damn. He could not compete with that dude.

Cass, totally in a moment of recovery after her epic slump, ran back up to the front of the room to give Poe that high five.
Even if she was already in trouble for attempting table push ups. Cass just didn't have the thought that MAYBE THEY WILL GIVE YOU BACK TO THE POD IF YOU DON'T BEHAVE YOUNG LADY cross through her mind.
