Emane Anarion Health: Perfect
Location: Imperial City - Waterfront
Mood: Determined xxEmane grinned at the two with a flash of mischief in her eye. As Zelindor seemed to looked disappointed and Eliya not quite sure what to think Emane had scouted out the area behind them for Marbles with her eyes. Her eye caught a flash of something that appeared to be stuck in the ground and she was right on it just as Zelindor finished speaking. She jumped upon the marble and dug at it like a dog. The thing was being quite challenging. This resulted in Emane grumbling ungodly amounts of curses that steadily grew louder until the marble finally freed. "AHA!" She yelled out and jumped to her feet. But once she landed on her feet the marble slipped out of her fingers and into the water. Her eye's widened with a open mouth.
xxWith determination to find the marble she had lost Emane started to untie her weapons and throwing them on the ground. She then started to undo her tight fitted leather boots and gloves and all else until it was just her leather tunic dress upon her body. Emane turned around and walked back a few feet and turned back towards the water. She looked at the two next to her and gave a salute. "Wish me luck!" She said with a determined look on her face and ran full speed towards the water and diving in.

The boots were a good idea, he thought, but he was worried her coordination combined with the speed might end up with an injury if she didn't ease into the enchanted footwear. He joined S'Rava in wincing as Tanna's lithe form collided with several of the dummies, sending the lot into a chaotic heap. "Let me," he asked of the Khajiit. "Please, if you could package the chainmail for me, I will help my friend tidy up," he promised. S'Rava nodded, and did not seem to be distraught or in ill-humour.
The sorcerer joined Tanna in fixing up the knocked-down dummies, replacing discarded pieces of armour and reaffixing them into their rightful place. "I'm glad they work," he told Tanna, as they finished up. She didn't seem hurt, thankfully. "I'll just be a moment, dear." The endearment was a sub-concious, self-unnoticed addition, and he went to the counter to fetch his large purchase.
The Dunmer gratefully accepted his chainmail armour when S'Rava finished placing it into a cheap burlap sack, binding it with a hempen cord. Velryn slung the bundle over one of his shoulders, letting his other hand trail loose at his side. When he rejoined Tanna, he answered her query. "You can always come back later. I'm happy enough with this, so I think I'll call it a day." He grinned at his Bosmer companion. The day's outing had been fun. "I'm going to go drop this lot off at the University. Do you want to join me for dinner later?" he asked Tanna as they began to leave. "Or maybe breakfast or lunch tomorrow?" It was a good motivator for him to get out of the University grounds if he had someone to meet up with.

Within a few minutes of walking along the paved pathways, she glanced beneath a bench and, to her pleasure, caught sight of a tiny yellow marble. She quickly pocketed the topaz orb and continued on her way, eyes narrowed as she considered various further hiding places and checked them. All, however, proved empty. The Arboretum had probably been searched to some degree, but the Imperial didn't give up hope.
Areas such as the Waterfront and the Market District would likely see a lot of activity, and although Hestia liked crowds, she had always enjoyed visiting the Arboretum and was glad she had started her search surrounded by calm greenery. It was a place of respite from the occasional stifling atmosphere of the Varo townhouse in Talos Plaza. In the past, the large park-like district had provided a pleasant backdrop for mercantile negotiations, a neutral ground minus the distractions of other districts. With these thoughts in mind, Hestia's black gaze lingered thoughtfully over the faces of those she passed as she walked.
Her eyes blinked twice, surprised, as they settled on a face that didn't belong to a stranger. Darrashk, she identified him. Although they were not involved in the same businesses, she was aware and introduced to many of the local merchants and their staff. The scruffy (in her opinion) man was, she recalled, a delivery man for one of the city's shops. Was he out and about on business, or pleasure, or for the hunt? She decided, on a whim, to at least say hello to the young man. It would displease her mother if she knew Hestia was rubbing elbows with such a person: more and more, as she aged and gained further independence, the Varo scion sought to subtly defy her matron.
As she crossed the street towards Darrashk, slowing slightly as a small waifish form bumped into his. Hestia repressed a smile; isn't she adorable? she commented inwardly, studying the tiny blond elf. She had never seen such a young Altmer before. She stood back a moment, to see how Darrashk responded to the elf. She would intrude upon them in another moment or two.

@~,~'~~~Darrashk~~~'~,~@
Darrashk searched feeling confident he'd find something but was displeased when he didn't and felt some one walk into his back and apologize, he turned around and looked at the little girl and smiled kindly, "It's ok, it's probably my fault for positioning myself this way, and with the scavenger going on I can understand if people are colliding into each other" his smile faded as he looked around hoping to find spots where the marbles could possibly be hidden.
His eyes stopped when they met Hestia's and his smile grew again, he slowly walked over to her and took left hand, and leans forward slightly, bringer her hand up to his lips as he kissed the back of her hand, "Long time no see Hestia" he gently lowers her hand back down and lets go of it. His smile fades a little, "I am sorry but Rashka has sent me to complete the scavenger hunt for her and I promised to make it quick" he bowed his head politely.
He notices something shinning off in the distance and walks over to it to see if it's a marble, doubting it. He looked back to Hestia and the little girl as he walked, not wanting to make the same mistake the little girl did he turns his attention back to where he's heading. He bends down to get a closer look at it, then grabs it.

Eliya ~ Eliya found herself relieved when Zelindor didn't react too harshly to Emane's behavior, but the relief was short lived as she watched Emane find a marble, promptly to drop it in the nearby water. Shaking her head, Eliya just watched as the other woman took a running dive into the water.
The redhead stepped back as some water from the splash found its way on her clothes. A scowl crossed her face before she could catch it, and unhappily she looked down at her self. She then looked up to see if Zelindor had gotten wet as well. Based on the color of his robes it was difficult to tell. "Well I certainly don't plan on walking around in wet clothes." She said this as she stared at the water from which Emane had yet to surface from.
Turning her jade eyes to the male Altmer she shook her head. "I suggest we look for marbles somewhere more dry." Was she acting like inconvenienced wealthy citizen? Perhaps. But then again, she'd grown up a wealthy citizen of the Imperial City. Haughtiness was ingrained in her and perhaps slightly evident in her behavior.

His hair was long and curly and his face was mostly smooth with his chin and upper lip lazily covered with hair; like he has been to lazy to shave those parts of his face or for style. Either way, for some odd reason she found him pretty and attractive. His voice was humble as he apologized for it being him who was the reason she ran into him. She was captivated by this man's entire presence. How he carried himself and spoke was something out of a book. He was like a pastor who felt that it was his duty to look after others instead of just carry himself. Even though he wasn't paying attention to her, Coraline felt as if he were watching over her. Even though he was looking around her for marbles.
Then he walked away without another word. He walked up to a more matured woman, grasped her hand and kissed the back of it. Coraline couldn't hear the exchange of words being said but could tell that they were being vocalized. A pit of jealously brought her spirits down. It was like something that she had never really felt before. It made her feel disgusting. Vile; as if she weren't in her own body. She felt hatred for the woman whose hand was in his. She wanted to lash out on her till her body was charred, flakes of skin wilting off with a small breeze. Anger like one of her spells consumed her, till his hand let go of hers.
Everything calmed down in her just as quickly as it fueled her. ''He was just greeting her... Yeah that's it. Old friends.'' she thought to herself as she watched him bend down to pick up something, with her intuitive mind, she would bet all her gold on it being a marble. Her marble. In her mind, all the marbles were hers. So what he had in his hand now, was her property. Though she let that go as well. No reason to get upset over a friendly competition. Right? Curiosity was the next feeling she had. She had a face but not a name for it. Her name was Coraline. That was clear. And she had a face. That much was clear to her.
Being impulsive, she moved towards the duo quickly, her feet carrying her steadily more quickly with each step. After a few paces she was almost jogging towards him. ''Hey wait!'' she called out to him as she made her way to them. A straight line was the quickest route between two points and that's what she was doing. The Arboretum was quite and mostly empty. lt wouldn't surprise Coraline if her shout had echoed within the walled foliage they were in.
But when she got up to him, almost ignoring the other patron, her smile was ecstatic. ''l never caught your name.'' she said taking a deep breath. She was young and energetic but for some odd reason she was exhausted and out of breath. Thirsty almost. As if someone had drained all of her endurance. ''l'm Coraline!'' Her teeth were now bared with her smile. ''l still feel like l should apologize appropriately to you.'' a few more thoughts schemed to her as she said that. ''l didn't steal your purse either. lt was a genuine accident!''
That made her seem even more suspicious then she had wanted to. ''How many pickpockets return to the scene of the crime?'' Some ''errs'', ''uhh'' and an ''umm'' or two were thrown in after her question quietly and more so to herself, more of a statement, was said. Like she was torn between just leaving and staying around to catch his name. There was still the manor of the other girl standing beside the two, she still didn't give her much attention.

A lady she might be, but she did not want to be considered dainty by those involved in the local merchant circle. When her name came to mind, she wanted it associated with trade, prosperity and professionalism, and not femininity.
That, and she never let men peck the back of her hand since it so often seemed to send then the wrong message, or give them ideas. It very well might be a chivalrous gesture, but why break with tradition? She glanced once at the elf. Something about the blonde's look towards her (was that a glare?) perturbed Hestia, but she felt no threat or alarm, merely a sense of vague interest. What was that all about?
"Good day to you, Darrashk." She nodded at his explanation. "Then you must do as Rashka says, but do give her my regards when you see her next." The noblewoman stepped aside to let the man pass, observing him as he went after another marble. He must have the eyes of a hawk, she determined.
She was about to follow after him--it would be nice to have company--when the girl cried out. Hestia paused and waited for her to catch up before she rejoined Darrashk. Coraline, she mused. A pretty name, and unusual for a High Elf, she thought. The Imperial's raven brows rose at the girl's next words, finding them strange more than alarming. Was she eccentric? Hestia studied her a little closer, recalling Coraline's smile and breathing. A slow smile spread across her lips.
"Darrashk, you should always remember to properly introduce yourself to a lady before you wander off," she chided the young man gently as she looked at Coraline. "And any pickpocket worth their salt doesn't return to the scene of the crime, of course, or stick around very long," she said, implying with her choice of words that Coraline certainly couldn't be a thief! At the same time, Hestia sought to diffuse the slightly awkward situation created by the girl's comment about light-fingered cutpurses. "How much fortune have you had in this scavenger hunt so far? I've only found three."

@~,~'~~~Darrashk~~~'~,~@ Darrashk had completely forgotten that Hestia never liked that sort of thing but he couldn't help it, it's just who he is. He looked at the object he picked up and noticed it was nothing more than glass, and put it in his pocket to dispose of it later. He then heard the girl call out and introduce herself, he turned to face her as she spoke and before he could say anything Hestia responded. It didn't take him any time at all to choose his words carefully,"Forgive me for my rudeness, it was very inconsiderate of me to leave with out first introducing myself"he bowed his head politely.
He then listened carefully on her comment on cut-purses, though he knew just about all there is to know, he kept the same facial expression,"I honestly wouldn't know, a cut-purse may return to the scene of the crime but most likely not directly after they have committed the crime, I guess the only way to know for sure is to speak with one, or be one yourself"his words sounded truthful.
His attention was then returned to Hestia as she spoke asking him of his their luck on the scavenger hunt, "so far I have had little luck, though I've only searched two places, I have not long started my search for these marbles... would you both like to travel with me as I search, we could all aid each other in our search and I also wouldn't mind the company" he looked at the two waiting for their response.

He was a little stuck up and when even confronted to give his name by a lovely lady, who Coraline is starting to feel guilty for almost completely ignoring and killing off in her head and multiple brutal ways, but as well as being asked for it by the little girl who stood in front of him. Sure the lady did give his name for him but at least repeat it for courtesy sake. She turned her attention away from him and gave the woman, more formally appropriate then Darrashk a small curtsy, trying to scold the man now at her side. ''l didn't catch you're name either, Milady.'' she said still trying to be the most polite she could be and not rude to the obvious well offed woman in front of her.
Almost everything about her appearance said she was rich and someone to be respected. An aristocrat. Lavished with attention from probably anyone and everyone who even caught sight of her beauty. Coraline really has no real sexual preference or even motivation to discover what sex even is, but if she did, this woman would be even higher on the list then Prince Charming. Though with just that said, she probably wouldn't want to get on her bad side either. Coraline got vibe that her physic was able to not only handle herself, but her reputation and social status would probably do worse to the little almost humbled by her presence, mage.
She was thankful that the lady was agreeing with and even backing up her story. Coraline had been previously accused of being a pick pocket one day while she was wandering the streets of the Market District searching for a new pair of boots alone. She probably would have been sent off to the prison for even more questions if a fellow mage had not come up and interfered, backing up her story. So she felt it almost necessary to be saying she wasn't doing that again for the sake of prior experiences. She could have sighed heavily thinking back to those times. It was silly how people were so cautious around young kids who wandered around alone. Thinking they were orphans and out to cut purses.
Though she was again being distracted from her internal monologue as the pair started speaking of the competition and how many of the marbles either of them had found. Darrashk replied to her, saying he himself had not found very many of the marbles, though, had only began to search a few places, two was the exact number he had used. ''l've only found one so far.'' Coraline responded as she reached into her large pouch on her belt and pulled out the token out, her hands were small enough to reach into it without having to unlatch the cover. Resting on her right palm was a small but perfectly round pearl colored marble. It's color was even magnified by her black gloves. After letting the two get a quick glance down at her own she placed it back in her large pouch.
What came next was almost a surprise to her though, Darrashk, the rude yet some how polite male was offering the the noble and herself to accompany him in his search. Still bitter at him, Coraline wanted to bite his arm in frustration in her inability to read him properly, though unable to do so without causing a scene. Darrashk was tricky. He seemed to interested in Coraline but at the same time only offering her to tag alone because he pitied her. As he seemed interested he also seemed distant and uninterested in her at the same time. More so his attention was laxed because he wanted to impress the maiden who was more his age. Be the good and kind hearted fellow she probably would be appeased to. Still she nodded her head in agreement to his gesture. ''Yeah, sure.'' she said. ''Only if l wont be a nuisance though.'' She took a quick glance down towards their feet in hoped of finding another marble, even though two so close would be redundant and puerile. Still, she was almost far enough to say gullible.

She observed the Altmer yet again, wondering at the strange, subtle shifts of body-language she offered to both Hestia and Darrashk. Coraline was young, amusing, eccentric... after so much time spent within the same circles meeting the same sorts of reserved, mature adults, the Imperial found this behaviour refreshing. Hestia glanced at Darrashk. There, too, something else brewed beneath the surface, secrets hidden from view.
"I am Hestia Varo, but please, just call me Hestia," she told Coraline. It was another dig at her mother's staunchly traditional ways that she had most people use her first name outside of business negotiations or formal occasions. It personalized her to people her mother deemed 'lesser.' "And that marble is far nicer than the ones I've found. I always was fond of pearls." The aristocrat's remark was sincere. Compared to the petit alabaster orb Coraline had found, the trio of red, blue and yellow marbles Hestia had claimed were gaudy.
Now that it seemed they were past that small dint in the conversation, the raven-haired woman hoped they could move on, conversing as they searched. "I admit, my searching was spur-of-the-moment, and I am not entirely wise in the way of such games. It would very much please me to have your company as I fumble my way through the city." She smiled at both. She began moving forward, assuming the Altmer and Breton would accompany her.
She wondered what their first topic of conversation would be. She knew what Darrashk did, working in the Market District at Rashka's shop, but she had no clue as to what Coraline's occupation or status within the City was. If she had to guess... Maybe she's a maid? Or a minstrel, or a scholar?

@~,~'~~~Darrashk~~~'~,~@
Darrashk felt like an idiot at the fact that he, himself did not introduce himself, and felt it rude to leave it some one else say his name, but before he could correct his mistake Caroline had turned to Hestia and asked for her name. Darrashk waited patiently as they spoke and couldn't help but to notice something gleaming in a tree, he turned his attention back to the two waiting for them to finish their conversation.
Once they were done talking Darrashk waited just a little longer in case any of them wanted to add a word or two in then spoke, "Pardon me for my earlier rudeness please, I honestly didn't mean to be rude, and please pardon my rudeness now but I think I may have spotted a marble, and I wish to take this one for I have yet to find one" he put both his hands together in front of his face and bowed apologetically before he went over to the tree.
Darrashk got to the tree and climbed it quickly and easily. He got to the ruby red marble and grabbed it but realized some one's foot was on it, before he had a chance to let go the person's foot went from the marble to his face knocking him out of the tree and flat on his back.
Ilumus jumps down from the tree landing beside Darrashk, he grabs Darrashk and pulls him to his feet slamming him back to the tree, "I know who you really are... and what you've done... and what you can do" he whispered to Darrashk with a smile. All the time Darrashk acts innocent holding both his hands up as if expecting to be mugged.
Ilumus looked at the position they were in and how this must seem to others and let go of Darrashk backing up a few steps, "You don't deserve what you have... like me you must earn it... and this" Ilumus said holding up the ruby marble, "you do not deserve" Ilumus walked towards Hestia and Caroline. As he walked past Hestia he bumped shoulders with her to distract her and the other two from him dropping the ruby marble into her pocket.
He kept on walking fiddling with a ruby ring in his hand, making sure the light reflected off of it to play the illusion that he still had the marble. Meanwhile in his other hand he was fiddling around with another ring, Darrashk's to be exact. He smirked as he walked off through the doors to the temple district, I earn my trophies his smirk faded as he tossed Darrashk's ring over to a beggar and kept on walking, You're still alive... I haven't earned my right to keep that ring... but I know that ring will circle back to you and when the time comes... I'll earn it back he smiled as he continued his journey out

That's a pretty name.'' Coraline admitted to the now named lady figure in the group who was just seconds ago another pretty face. ''l think the name fits your face.'' with a small grin towards her next remark about Coraline's own marble, she couldn't help but be proud of it. The small round object in her pouch used to feel like a small pebble that would get her fabulous prizes, but now, it seems like her first trophy. She was starting to feel a bit arrogant about it. lt gave her some sort of self-importance. Spending the thing now would almost be a shame. Though she knew if she were to get those rewards mentioned in the pamphlet she would have to inevitably sell the thing. What a conundrum for such a small girl.
Coraline started to follow Hestia down another path and continue the conversation, her eyes surveying for a marble. Only building that self-importance feeling she got earlier as she paced next to what seemed to be a noble and was conversing with casually. lt made her feel special. She had never done this sort of thing before. Coraline wanted people to see how her social disposition was switching from being a mage to being a more important character in this city. She wanted the eyes to bore holes through here with envy. lt would only make her too pleased to be here that much more. Even though being lofty as she was, she couldn't actually say for sure if she really was important. Even Hestia just met her. But, it was still a nice feeling. ''Hey, where's Darrashk?''
She only asked that question because she noticed that the pair ladies of them were walking alone. Darrashk seemed to have disappeared. The third link to the trio wasn't with the them. Shifting about she noticed that Darrashk hadn't followed them, but, instead climbed a tree. ''Odd...'' Coraline thought as she watched the man act more like a child then she was. Pursing her lips inward in a disregarding and misled manner, she continue to watch him scour around up there. What man seemed to have been held in such a high regard was now starting to seem like a child at heart.
Without really knowing what happened, Darrashk had fallen from the tree. ''Did he lose his footing?'' she questioned herself as she spoke ''Oh crap! Darrashk are you alright?'' Her tone was worried for his safety and well being. Feeling a little guilty about her previous accusations about how he was nothing more then a fool, Coraline quickly noticed another man leap from the tree Darrashk had just fallen from. A smug look was on his face. Proud of what he had done. He spoke words which Coraline heard but did not understand the meaning of them. After a quick monologue to which seemed was meant for Darrashk, he pushed through the two girls on the sidelines. His shoulder pushed aside Hestia purposefully though missed Coraline.
Filled with anger, she searched for something heavy but non-lethal to throw at him. Her fingers found a rock, small, but would get the job done easy enough. Clutching it, she threw it at him. Not caring where it hit really, she just wanted his attention. ''Hey!'' her voice beaconed at him while the rock left her fingers. ''Why don't you pick on someone your own size you pompous a**!'' she jeered. Taunting him to make him accept her challenge. Coraline was now itching for him to confront her. Unaccepting his attitude towards the trio she felt it was her duty to protect the other two she had just met. That, and, unlike herself, unarmed and seeming defenseless. Even though it seemed it was Coraline who was picking the fight instead of just defending the two from a villain.
But if he did accept, Coraline was already picturing how the fight would go down. Though it would go one of a few ways: he would turn around and mock her for her stupidity or just straight forwardly charge her. If he did the first option she would have to taunt him more or show that she wasn't as weak as her appearance led on to be. She would conjure a small blade as she would continue to scoff him. But if he just attacked her she'd switch to a more destructive path, using her naturally adept magical skill. Though, that's saying things went her favor and the guards didn't stop them from beating each other down.

Health : Perfect (Bruised and a little sore.) ┃ Magicka : Charged ┃ Fatigue : Tired ┃ Mood : Thoughtful ┃ Location : Imperial City – Market District. Active : None.
Tanna looked at her new boots, pretending that admiration had distracted her, rather than she needed a second to consider how to answer his query. The forwardness didn’t bother her, it was more the implication, he was suggesting something that really had no mutual benefit, at least none to her. Getting dinner, breakfast or lunch was something friends did, and they weren’t friends, were they, not really. And despite the lies she fed him, making him believe she was Tanna which helped her blend in better, she couldn’t have him forming attachments. There had to be a balance, and accepting him, encouraging him to take this further would be stupid, next he’ll be inquiring into her frequent leave of absences from the guild, or worse, he’ll start seeing the inconsistencies. She had falsified enough relationships in the past to know that taking this further would end in her having to silence him, and in this case, she didn’t have a reason or desire to do that. Velryn was nothing like the people she had forced herself to get close to in order to destroy, so she would have a hard time justifying a reason for his death. No, while he wasn’t a threat to her, Velryn didn’t deserve a knife in his chest and it wasn’t like she desired a long term friendship. In this silent arrangement, she decided for both parties that encouraging attachments wouldn’t suit either of them, and she was sure, if he could know the truth, he would agree. Or would he, perhaps he wouldn’t even take her seriously, but that wasn’t the point.
In the thirty or forty seconds she pretended to appraise her footwear, while really she used the time to think before she answered, because really she didn’t need to linger on the details, she’d already decided declining him was the best option the moment he had voiced the invitation. All she needed the extended time for was to consider the best way to answer him. ”That’s a shame,” she let the words flow out as if she had just realised she should be answering his question, ”I guess, I said I was going to come back here this evening, also I should get an early night, I’m supposed to be travelling to Leyawiin tomorrow morning. Dinner would have been nice though, I’m not so great in the kitchen either…” She’d formulated an answer that made her sound sufficiently regretful, so he wouldn’t think his company repulsed her, but regretful for the wrong reasons, which he would hopefully interpret as her not thinking on the same wavelength as he did. ”Maybe some other time,” she added, not really intending to, but then again it couldn’t hurt. She hadn’t actually specified a date, and also since she had given him the impression she wasn’t interested in him in the same way he might be, he might not even ask again. Besides, perhaps on one occasion, having a meal with him would have some mutual benefit. Maybe. ”Well if you’re going back to the University I think I’ll head over the book store before it closes, I think it is too late to see the head of the Alchemy labs in the University now anyways.” She started trotting off towards the First Edition, ”see you Velryn!” She called back over her shoulder to Velryn.

Later... ...as Marilien.
Later that evening Tanna, or rather, Marilien returned to the Marble exchange stall. The Assassin had waited until the stall was near closing before moving in to make her exchange, and when she did so the lone Khajiit gave her an apprehensive look. He stepped forward, ever so slightly reluctantly, but otherwise remained calm and polite as he asked, ”can I help you?” Marilien responded, first by reaching into the folds of her face concealing hood and pulling down the folds of material covering her lips, and then spoke. ”I’ve come to exchange for the Silver Claymore.” The beast-man nodded and retrieved the weapon, ”that’s –,“ he was cut off as she held out six multi-coloured marbles to the Khajiit. He offered a hand and she let them fall gently into his palm, while at the same time she reaffixed the fabric over her lower face and then took her new acquisition and left as quickly as she had arrived. She’d take it with her to Cheydinhal, she doubted anyone in the Brotherhood would steal it from the safe house while she was away on her first mission for them.
((ooc: Didn't want to make another post just to say Marilien went back for the Claymore later. She did and made no other interactions.))

Hestia thought with a moment of alarm, but years of conditioning kept her face from revealing it. Instead, she let worry--not an untruthful emotion--dance into place as she followed Coraline's gaze to the two men. Was the Brotherhood Slayer following her? She realised that was not the case, but nonetheless as he broke away from Darrashk and came in her direction, the Imperial tensed as if for a fight; but he merely jostled her and kept going. "Watch where you're going, fool," she shouted over her shoulder.
Hestia gritted her teeth. What are you doing? she thought, but she hurried over to Darrashk. "Oh, Darrashk," she joined Coraline in fussing over him. Since he had just been assaulted by someone she was associated with, although no one here would know it, Hestia felt a strange sense of responsibility. She knelt by the fallen man and offered him a sturdy arm to leverage himself up. She was about to ask if he was hurt when the words of the small Altmer pierced her distress. "Let him go, Coraline! I would rather not pay your fines, with the guards why not let me treat you both to a meal?" she tried to compromise and sway the girl instead.
The last thing she needed now was to be thrust into the midst of a fight between the possible-friend she had found in Coraline, and Ilumus, a man she was secretly vowed to assist and not harm. Get out of here, Archine! the noble thought savagely.

@~,~'~~~Darrashk~~~'~,~@
Darrashk accepted their assistance in getting up, "I'm fine, I'm fine" he assured them brushing himself off. He was angered and confused by the man but his anger settled unusually quickly, only to be replaced by calm, "There's something odd about him... he's not planning on staying here, why take a marble? Is it just to prevent others from getting it... or is he planning on passing it off to some one who is participating in this?" the thought of some one else working with the strange man worried him.
He listened to Hestia telling Caroline to leave the man alone, "A nice meal does sound good but please, let me pay for the both of you, it's the least I could do for the kindness you have both shown for me" he wanted to think as little as he could about the odd man that attacked him, thinking that all the man wants to do is get under his skin and make him paranoid. When Darrashk noticed his ring was gone he remained calm keeping a little reminder in his head to get the thieves guild to steal it back for him, not wanting to be near the man.
He then noticed that after the man was hit in the shoulder by the rock Caroline threw, the man went to a guard and pointed to Darrashk, speaking words Darrashk could not hear, he watched as the guard made his way over to him and noticed the strange man leave. "Which one of you threw the rock at that man?" the guard asked the group staring at them as if trying to see into their minds. Before any one could say anything Darrashk stepped forwards "I am sorry, that would be me... I was participating in the marble scavenger hunt and thought I had spotted one, I climbed the tree and went to grab it, I did not notice the man standing on it and before I had a chance to let go he kicked me out of the tree, jumped down and assaulted me... I am sorry I let my anger get the best of me I promise it will not happen again" Darrashk's words sounded truthful and the guard stood there staring at him for a few seconds, "Make sure this does not happen again" and with that the guard was back off to his post.
Darrashk was relieved that the guard did not take him in, it was the last thing he needed. Not to mention the ear full he'd get from Rashka, he looked to Caroline and Hestia and smiled.
