Ryl just giggled, then turned and slithered away through the grass. She actually didn't go more than ten feet away from where they'd originally been standing, using her "extra" time to go for silence rather than speed. She crouched low to the ground, making sure the only parts of her visible over the grass if Rai tried climbing the tree to spot her were the starry parts of her.
((Guess we should have at least one post where the seeker is looking for the hider, so we can kinda make the game last longer. In other words Rai can't find Ryl in your next post, but the one after it he can if we want him to.))

Rai kept his eyes shut for a little while longer listening to the wind. Searching for any sound or smell that would lead him to her but there was no wind tonight. It had to be his luck. Sighing he opened and walked way from the tree. The grass was tall and would make things difficult to find but he was confident that he could find her.

Ryl had carefully wiggled her head and tail, the only parts containing white, into the shelter of some of the thick grass around her and tried to keep everything as low to the ground as possible. Briefly she'd debated moving, just to confuse Rai, but the lack of wind would make it difficult. Perhaps next time she hide she'd try it, just to shake things up.

Rai carefully waded threw the tall grass as if it were water. He wanted to find Ryl but didnt want to risk stepping on her and hurting her. He'd feel bad if that happened.
He walked back and forth in a zig-zag pattern until he spotted a small lump that was dark. He silently approached it and touched it with his paw to see if it was her.

Ryl couldn't see Rai and most certainly couldn't chance him catching sight of her movement by looking up, but she could hear him.
She had to hold in a giggle at the sound of all his wandering around. He paused for a bit and she heard a shifting sound followed by a light thud. Hmmm, probably poking a rock. He sounded close though, so unless he went in an entirely different direction he'd find her soon.

Rai sighed and moved on. It was just a stupid rock. He stood there glaring at it for a moment before continuing on. He wandered about until he came upon another lump. This time he was sure it was her because it looked like the sky. He pounced on her saying "AHA! I found you,"

Ryl let out a slight 'Oof' as Rai landed on her, but thankfully being all tucked into a ball made it more of a sound of surprise rather than an indicator of the air being driven from her lungs. She rolled out from under Rai, and sprang up to her feet.
"So you did," she laughed, refraining from mentioning the rock incident she'd heard going on earlier. "So, your turn to hide now?"

Rai grinned as he guessed right when making his pounce. He had found her and it really hadn't taken him all that long to do so. He was a little proud of himself but wasn't going to say anything.
He eyed her and than began to circle her. "Maybe in a minute or two. I have a better idea first."with that said he pounced on her again pinning her below him and than he began to nuzzle her neck.

Ryl's ears went back for a moment, caught a bit by surprise, then her instincts kicked in. She growled and lunged for Rai's throat.....and playfully began to nibble at the fur. Still mock-growling in the back of her throat she used the light grip she had on him and the position of their bodies and sent them into a light tumble. Momentum meant she was only on top for a moment before they rolled again, this time with Rai still on top of her, but Ryl's chest vibrated with a chuckle and she returned the nuzzle to the spot she had play-nipped Rai.

Rai was taken by surprise when she suddenly lunged at his throat. He almost went into a defensive mode but he held back which he was glad because she began to play fight with him. He let out a playful growl back even as they rolled he didnt let go of her. He had her pinned again and he nipped and nuzzled her neck before licking her cheek and pulling back just enough to see her face so he could try and figure out what she was thinking.

Ryl laughed quietly. "So how did a chance meeting turn into a game that turned into a date," she asked, amused. Certainly she found Rai interesting, and he was a very handsome male. She wouldn't make the same mistake her father had, of course, but the situations were completely different. No weird plants ingested or anything like that to result in random babies.

Rai's face softened at what she said nudging her cheek back. The normally pissed off male was greatly at peace with himself and he now knew for certain it is all thanks to the cute little vixen pinned beneath him. "Mhm I don't know it could be just us but I for one like how things are turning out. How about you?" He hoped she felt the same cause he really liked her.

Ryl sighed softly. "Well I can certainly see the potential for something to happen here," she said. After all she wasn't blind enough to see the appreciating looks Rai gave her, not unaware enough to know she was giving him the same looks back.
"It's more a question of whether or not this would work out between us as something more than a brief fling." Ryl raised her eyebrow and looked up at Rai. After all he had a sister he was hunting down and a family that he apparently lived with a vast majority of the time. Ryl was still young, and didn't want to settle down in just one place yet. For anything to last after the initial flare died down, compromises would have to be made.

Rai nodded his head than nuzzled her cheek in agreement of seeing something there between them. "Yes something indeed."
He gazed at her for a momment. "Do you think there is something here worth while?" he asked with all seriousness. He didn't want her to say no but didn't really know why. Maybe he thought they could be more or at least try. It would be nice.
