A True Friend Who is Wishing? (a Soquili or Kiwani persona) Briella
Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: Ever since I came to these new lands, I have been by myself and it's just plain boring when you don't have anyone around that you can have fun with! I have yet to meet a decent soquili that I can call my friend or even my "bffl" if you will. Seeing how I have a wild, party type personality {once I break out of my skittish and cautious nature at first but trust me, my skittish ways don't last very long], I'm just looking for another soquili that I can just have a good time with; someone that I can take out with me to have a good time and just have fun with. A soquili I can consider to be my 'right hand b***h,' you know? But don't get me wrong, I don't want my new friend to outshine me in anyway {I'm totally a jealous soquili when it comes to others outshining me.}. My new buddy must be as short as me, seeing how I'm a fairly short soquili to begin with. I wouldn't want my new friend to town over me nor should my friend be any smaller than I am because then I wouldn't want to be towering over them!! Oh sure, I'll eventually backstab her down the road- weather it be in one of my favorite form of boyfriend stealing or something more serious than that- but she'll just have to suck it up and get over it. I admit, I may not sound like I have the qualities of 'best friend material' but hey, I can't be the only soquili out there that doesn't do that to a friend once in a while; I'm not perfect you know. In the end, however, we'll forgive each other and just continue our lives together as two peas in a pod; well, that is until I pull another one of my little stunts again, anyway. -smiles-

What does your persona or your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? a red flower in full bloom that she came across her travels. Sure, it is so out of character for Briella to be picking flowers but this particular one just happened to get my attention.

Amu gazes up at the sky and notices an extraordinary shining star. She walks closer to the edge of the cliff and gazes up at the sky. "Oh great shining star, I am tired of being lonely." She glanced down at the grass below her feet after she said the words. Amu looked back up at the star and decides to make a wish. "I wish that I had a best friend, a sister at heart!" She seemed to be yelling out her emotions to the sky and her star. Her hoof moved off of a vial that she had held up to this point. "I offer my tears to prove my loneliness and that I am eager for someone to be my sister at heart." She seemed to be crying again because she was so lonely. It was true that Kuro was her true love and her mate but even he couldn't fill the void in her heart that was a missing best friend. She needed someone that she could talk to about Kuro and other things going on in her life. Everything isn't meant to be shared with one's true love, it was about time she find someone she can really share all of her secrets with.

What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A dream catcher that had been woven into the shape of what human's saw as the symbol of the stars.
Short IC Response:
Avia felt entirely embarrassed to be 'wishing upon a star' even though she was aware that no other knew what she was doing, and even so if they had, she knew full well that they'd dare not mock her. She carried in her mouth a gift; a gift she had obtained from a human no less. She hated humans, true, but they did have their uses.
Staring up into the starry night, she felt her heart sputter. She wished so badly for her to only have to think her wish, and think hard but she wanted this to work. Surely should wouldn't repeat this ever again, surely. However, her eyes skirted around quickly, once more to be sure, before she laid down on the grass a dream catcher woven into the symbol of a star.
"You are truly beautiful beings. I call you beings because I have been advised that you listen to those below you, like proper rulers." Her tail swished nervously, wanting to look around once more but she held her eyes to the brightest and biggest twinkle above. "I ask of you... please-" she whispered uncharacteristically of her, pleading, "-for something more adventuress to happen in my life. I am tired of wandering around with nothing of purpose or to do. What I am supposed to change in this world? What am I supposed to accomplish? Am to wonder forever more, alone, seeking others? Adventure is what I ask of you. Please, if you truly are noble beings, grant me that..."
She bowed her head respectively, her heart thrumming before she looked down and didn't raise her eyes above the trees for the rest of night.

The man, grizzled and somber, looks distinctly awkward as he shuffles forward. His eyes are turned towards the night sky; in his clay-covered fingers is a small bowl. Its sides are a bit thick, the shape a little clumsy-- however, there is a gentleness in its design, in the delicate waves of its lip, and its colors that evoke the bonfires of summers past. "The first gift I attempted for my wife, when we began to see each other," the man grunts, though there is a softening in his eyes. "She said it was the ugliest thing she'd ever seen." He smiles, and the effect on his lined face is transforming. "But she learned to love it-- as she did me. I think... it's about time I let this go."

The moon was marred by a sheath of clouds. A single star shone brightly, a point of guidance and hope in the dreary darkness of the night. Spellbound stood still, a soft breeze blowing the tips of her mane away from her face, eyes closed. ”Oh wishing star. I’ve been alone for so long.” Her voice was wistful and held a note of longing that was unusual for the headstrong mare. Yes, she had three beautiful children. But they were a result of her careless mistake. A night of regret. And though she loved them, she found that they reminded her of what she most wanted to forget. No. She was alone. It was often easier that way. But sometimes, when the night’s chill crossed her heart, she wished that there would be somewhere out there for her. ”I do not want to be alone any longer.” But all that answered was silence. For a brief second, she had almost expected a reply. A pang went through her chest as she closed her eyes again, to wish, to dream. If only. If only.

I wish there was someone out there to accept me for me." She had dropped one of her favorite ribbons where she figured was best place to offer it. Hoping perhaps someday her wish will come true. Being accepted by someone was all she longed for. Though, She never really did let anyone get close enough to actually let that happen. Always afraid that they'd run away from her because of her looks.

Her expression is hidden behind her skull mask but her eyes look almost remorseful. She stares for a long time before sliding the beaded bracelet off of her hoof. She lays it on the alter then turns her back on it. She's just about to head back down the hill when she stops short.
Under her breath she mutters, "I really need you now. I need your wisdom... I need your help." She pauses for a second, then slowly makes her way down the hill.

A few vibrantly hued feathers from some songbirds tied together with a simple woven band. (The feathers are from a busy songbird nesting site that he recalls from his youth. The cheery, sweet singing is one of the few audible things he remembers before he became deaf in his adolescence. He knows that he isn't going to recover his lost hearing, so the memory tied to the birds and their singing is a bittersweet one since he goes through a silent world alone.) Short IC Response: It seemed a stretch and somewhat silly to be doing this, but he had once believed in wishing on stars, when he was but a small, sickly foal. Now, here he was, a full grown stallion and he was considering going back on old habits. He snorted softly as he laid the simple offering on the altar and shifted his gaze skyward. For a moment, his eyes seemed to search the stars, as if to see if he could glean any secrets from the velvety darkness that bore them. Bodhi looked to the bundle of feathers on the alter and sighed before returning his attention to the wishing star. "I'm not so sure about this and I feel silly for even asking but...I sure wish I could find someone who could see past my flaws and embrace them, maybe even someone to help watch out for me. Trouble does have a tendency to find me..." The predominantly green stallion shook his head. "I'm more than ready to have someone in my life, but my search so far has been for naught." He looked down and gave a ghost of a chuckle. "What a way to feel like a kid again...Now, star, I'm not asking you magic her into being or whatever it is you do. Maybe just give her a nudge in my general direction. That would be nice..." He paused, looking almost awkward. "Oh, um, please...and uh, thank you..." After another moment of quiet to reflect and ponder over his request, he turned and headed back down the way he came.

Every now and then she shivered, a small shake running from her neck to her tail, and she looked around, leery of staying in such an exposed place. But it was night, it was dark and she was hard to see... and Nora didn't look worried. Sali nuzzled the small mouse sleeping on her back and looked up at the star, gaining confidence from her small but mighty friend. "I'm not... not very brave," she started, "and I don't think I'm very deserving. But sometimes I... I get a little lonely. I have Nora! And a few other friends. But not... not anyone, well, special." AnikaTell the wishing star a little about yourself:My story began when I was young, and I got lost from my pod, or family, and somehow found my way into the waters near the Kawani Village. A human went fishing one day, and found me sad and alone, and offered me a small fish, extending her friendship to me. There were other humans who would come around me, but I tried to stay hidden, not knowing if they posed a threat to me or not. My trust in that human girl grew, and it wasn't long before she would join me in the water, and we would play together and she'd ride on my back. As she grew older, she would come visit me less and less, until she stopped coming altogether. Now, I swim here, all alone, with no friends or family. The fact is, I've had the hots for Safi for years; even when he was playing at being straight and was the love interest of my buddy Selene, I couldn't resist flirting with him and messing with his head. It sure worked out for me; it's been two years now since we've been together, and it's been the best part of my life. I love him, and I love his family...but I want to be more than the step-father to grown adults, you know? I want to have a child that looks at BOTH of us with true adoration, and that calls ME 'Daddy', too." Looking down and away from the star, he shuffles a bit self-consciously. A heart shaped stone, a heart shaped leaf, and lots of love. Short IC Response: My boyfriend was arrogant and egotistical, but I loved him still. He was very self-conscious about being in the herd. One day he asked what I thought of him. Though I told him the truth, he could only hear the bad things I said. Much to my shame, he said things that hurt me and I ran. I ran away from him, my family, and the only life I’ve ever known. I hope he’s doing well where ever he is. Co-owner permission given here.
