-Ephraim-

Technically, Ephraim and Joshua were King but who was keeping track? It wasn't like either of them were going to return to Renais and Jehanna anytime soon. "I am doing well, Roy. Its nice to see you again" The lancer couldn't help but reply to the young lord. After all, it had been, as stated earlier, months since showed his face around anywhere. Afterwards, young Sue showed up wearing a similar attire as FD. He had nearly forgotten she was a part of the host club. "Hello, Sue" Greeting the nomad as well.

Ephraim pondered thoughts for a bit until the question occurred on whether or not he would like to join the Host club. It hadn't crossed his mind until now. Truthfully, Ephraim was looking for a job but the host club just didn't seem like something he would be lead to, mainly because he didn't think he'd have the.....well talent...to be a host. The lancer opened his mouth to answer, but just as he did, Joshua linked arms with him and out of the blue, volunteered Renais's King.

Ephraim stood still for a moment, blinked a couple times, then let out a soft. "...Eh?" He stood still for a couple more seconds, then replied "Ah..Well.. Um..I mean...I-its not like I have anything else to do." After a bit he stopped himself, took a deep breath, then gave a full honest reply. "Sure, I'm interested."

Blaise felt that her voice had been to quiet to be heard, so she just stood there. Then a dark haired mercenary showed up in front of the table. Blaise stepped backwards to give the woman some room. "Sorry..." the timid myrmidon said as she gave up her place in line.

"Gahh!!! What the hell was that!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!"

"EEEEEEEEEKK!!!" As the man passed out again, Mihira leaned back and covered her racing heart. She looked up at the people around her booth, who were trying to get some help. "J-just fill out the forms, please... w-we'll be with you shortly..." She looked back down at the man who was now curled into a ball. She whimpered lightly at not really knowing what do and then leaned down next to him, whispering in his ear. "....S-sir...? Are you.. alright?" She lightly poked his cheek. "...Sir?"

She didn't turn her head back, but glanced at the paper and put two and two together. "Oh, no." she said, as she turned to him again. "Don't tell me you're joining the city watch! HA!" She mocked him, not thinking about how that would probably insult the watchmen at the booth as well. "It's probably for the best, though. You wouldn't last a day in the army. Unlike the Watch, where you can relax when you want to, all soldiers are required to attend an excruciating training session every day." She popped her chin with pride. "The likes of you probably doesn't have what it takes."

The only reason Roy had even called the pair 'Princes' was because they were not considered royalty here. Roy himself could have been a King of some country back in Elibe, in one of the many possible futures he had. However, seeing as he could probably never go back to Pherae, there was no point in such a title, or thinking of such a thing. Besides, there was a King in this country now. Calling the other two 'Kings' in public would only cause unnecessary trouble.

His Uncle replied that he was doing well, and that though it was stuffy in that outfit in this heat, he could take it. The redhead sighed and nodded.

"Alright. Since you are a fire dragon, you should be able to handle this much heat, but don't push yourself too much. I'm worried about your injuries, you know." Roy said softly to his Uncle.

The two Magvellian nobles greeted him back (kinda), and Sue made her appearance, calling out to them. Roy greeted her with a smile and a wave. Seemed like she was wearing the Host Club uniform too. Huh... he expected the female members to wear dresses, but then again, this was the Host Club.

His attention was brought back to Hikari as he asked his nephew and the other two nobles if they were interested in joining. Joshua volunteered both himself and Ephraim, in which the lancer agreed to join as well.

"I'll join as well. It looks like the family will be together for this." he said with a chuckle.

The Guard commander seemed rather confident in her abilities to train units. It seemed like she and the Bald general had some sort of history, and if he was going to join the Watch... Hmm...

He shifted his gaze up to Wallace. This Baldy did say who he was and what rank he was when he approached the booth, didn't he? Or was he just imagining things?

"Wallace, was it? Didn't you say you were a Knight Commander from where ever you said you came from? Why not use your expertise and help train the Watch? Rather than joining them and having one strong group, why not have two strong groups and stay with the Watch? I don't know what sort of history you have with that Beorc, but nothing's wrong with a bit of friendly competition to see who's better at raising soldiers." he suggested slyly.

He noticed that the female general seemed a little uncomfortable. Was it the heat? No, she was the one fighting the bandit with the big sword and lost. Weren't her injuries pretty serious?

"Don't overdo it. I'm surprised you're even out here with those injuries you took from that Beorc with the big sword." he whispered to her once he had gotten close to get a piece of graphite to try to fill out the form.

He fumbled with the writing utensil for a little bit before finally getting a good grip on it. The cat then filled out the form as best he could, his handwriting rather horrible. It was his first time writing, after all. And he didn't even know how to write! So cut the poor kitty some slack, okay?

Amelia looked up briefly as Vaida began to speak. It was very, very tempting to start yelling at her for her comments, but she knew it was just Vaida's boisterous nature shining through. She probably meant nothing too insulting by it, just pride of her own company in comparison to the Watch. The little General simply shuffled her papers, clearing her throat in order to attract Vaida's attention. "Well, I'm very impressed that your soldiers go through such a process to reach a suitable level. The Watch places more emphasis on rounding out their abilities, both in intelligence and in combat. And I'm sure that you'll appreciate it when the Watch's aid is necessary, as we appreciate yours. So if you don't mind..." She looked over to Sunil. "Have you signed? Ah... no."

She paused as Sunil quietly brought up her injury. Oh. Oh no. No. Quiet. Please be quiet. Amelia just offered a little smile and shook her head. "No. I'm fine. Really. Now just... please sign... yes, like that. Thank you, ah... Sunil?" She looked at him, then nodded. "Thank you. We'll help you with this if you wish."

-------

Things were starting to look up a little bit, finally.

Her hair was starting to grow out a little, finally long enough for a ponytail. Somehow, part of moving on seemed to include moving on from the things she used to hold onto so tightly. She had spent an afternoon with that, very carefully cutting away a part of her father's old scarf, mending the holes, hemming the cut end, and... putting it on her dresser, safe and unworn. It would fall apart if she continued to expose it to battle. She tied the cut end around her arm, letting the soft red fabric around her arm reassure her. She wasn't leaving him behind. She was moving on.

Blossom went out to find Derrin. It was a new day, she felt like a new woman, with a new look, and the reconstruction was going well. And she was a woman on a mission. And part of that mission meant finding that elusive little Mage. And perhaps Gale, too, if she could find him. She was sure he was a proper member of the Guard now, under Vaida, but it would be a good opportunity to introduce both Gale and Derrin to some new people, which was always a good thing.

"Derrin! Derrin, where are you?" Blossom frowned, putting her hands on her hips. "Where could... oh! Derrin!" She rushed towards him, waving a hand. "Derrin! Where are you going? We have to head to the main square, the job fair's going on right now! Come on!"

The pause the Beorc girl gave as he whispered about the injury was enough to say that she didn't want anyone else to know. He kept his mouth shut and said nothing more about it.

So regained her composure a little and said she was fine, then offered to help him fill out the form. He smiled weakly.

"Thanks... I don't really know how to write, so any assistance would be welcomed." he said, laughing uneasily as he scratched his cheek.

He then handed her the form and gave whomever was writing the information needed for the remainder of the blanks.

Saifer Griimro

A sigh eventually sounded from the young boy's lips. Saifer decided that if he was going to do something about this 'job' thing, he might as well do it now. If not, he'd just keep his eyes peeled for someone with full pockets and help himself to whatever looked shiny. A simple brush-pass would suffice for such a 'transaction'.

Saifer let out another breath of his and walked straight through the throng of people around the city watch table, trying not to make eye contact with anyone but the people manning it. Specifically, he was focusing on Leon since Amelia was already handling someone else. He briefly glanced at the laguz with somewhat of a fearful expression, but smoothed his face over so that he wouldn't seem like some sort of ignorant racist. Of course, mentally, he was still thinking 'how are those things just walking around normally not weird?'

When he did get past the people already in front of him, Saifer managed as straight a voice he could and looked Leon in the eyes a bit sparingly, looking down randomly sometimes as he spoke. Saifer wasn't very bold when it came to public speaking. "Umm...excuse me...this city watch...ah, well, I know how to use a sword. Am I...eligible?" he stammered, speaking in an annoyingly nervous voice. He hoped no one else would comment.

His main motivation for even doing this was just if there was a bed and three-square meals in it for him. It couldn't hurt to ask if he was qualified to join...if he was, then he'd ask about the arrangements.

Regulus Thrax

Regulus soon opened his eyes again when Mihira poked him in the cheek. He found himself staring into a pair of blue eyes. He grinned up at Mihira, "Well hello there beautiful. Could you tell me how I ended up on the ground and wet?" He seemed to have forgotten what he was doing. He realized that he did not know this woman's name, "I apologize for my rude behavior. I have not introduced myself to you. I am Regulus. What might be your name my beautiful flower?"

Wallace

"I doubt your soldiers could even carry my personal training manual much less survive the training itself! Especially if they were trained by you! I can take anything you can dish out! I doubt even you could complete the Manual! Gwahahaha!" Wallace stepped towards Vaida until he was nose to nose, or rather nose to forehead, with her. "I'll join your Guard and show you just what I can handle!" Wallace had always enjoyed his somewhat friendly competition with Vaida during the fight against Nergal and was glad to have it again.

"It's nice to meet you Zeiss," replied the sniper returning the handshake. "You can just call me by my name, Alex. Formalities are not really my type of thing, so no real need of calling me Captain or Sir," he added as he removed his hand. "Of course, if you just feel like you have to call me by those formalities I won't stop you," he added with a chuckle as he looked around the job fair.

"Things are quite lively around this place aren't they," he commented as he can see all the variety of booths among the market square. Suddenly that was knocked out just a minute ago spewed out a fountain of water from his mouth and screamed into the air causing attraction to their general location once again. Though what really cracked up Alex was when the man unconsciously moved himself into the fetal position. He couldn't help but let out another chuckle from his mouth. Things around here were truly interesting.

He did feel kinda of bad for the lady who was near him at the moment, she seemed to be having trouble with her situation. "Hey, I'll take anyone who needs help over here," called out the captain as he leaped over the booth with the help of his hand against the table. The job starts here it seems, he had a feeling things were going to be quite busy during this time. However he just shrugged to himself mentally as this was much better than what he else he could have possibly been doing. He took a single form and held is hand out to nearest person. "If you're interested please fill out this form," he said out loud to the crowd.

User ImageThe myrmidon looked at Alex behind the booth and moved towards him because he seemed friendly enough. "...Hi... I am Blaise... Umm... Thanks for the form...hehe..." Blaise said as she laughed nervously as she took a quill and began to fill it out. Her quill hesitated at a the age section and continued on filling the form out.

A moment later, she finished the form and held it in front of Alex. "...I give this back to you, right?" Blaise asked shyly.

I ain't forgettin' anyone,

x - [Leon] - x

User ImageUpon hearing Vaida's remarks, Leon wanted so bad to say something. He decided against it though. Saying anything right now would only lead to a rather unprofessional string of four-letter words, which shouldn't be said in a lady's, or new recruit's company. So, again, he kept himself quiet for now. It was better than flying off his handle.

Quickly, he forgot the wyvern lord's remarks when he was addressed by Jack. "Yer a knife man, ya say? I wanna see how good ya are on the trainin' grounds later! Sure there's a place for ya!" The Watch's Captain nodded, watching as one of the many newcomers to the booth proceeded to sign the forms. So far, so good.

And then, Saifer showed up. From what Leon noticed, the young man was dressed like someone who did rather... shadowy dealings. He said he knew how to use a sword, so he must have had some experience with combat. "A swordsman, are ya, lad? Of course we got some use for ya." Leon said cheerfully. "If ya know how to write, take a quill pen and fill out yer info!" He then leaned in and whispered. "And if ya got any lock picks, dun' use 'em in the Watch House." It wasn't a threatening whisper, but more of a gentle reminder.

After looking up from Saifer, Leon lightly pat Amelia on the back. "'Melia, yer on break! Ya got here before me and ya certainly earned it!" The Captain said. "Go along now! I'm sure ya can relieve me in one hour." Of course, after his own hour, the both of them would be manning this post again, hoping for more to join them.

Amelia nodded again to Sunil and gave him a tired smile. "Of course. Being able to understand messages is an important part of being given orders and is required of all Watch members. We'll have someone get you up to speed, don't you worry." She took the form from him and filled out the rest of information with his input. So far they, at least, had Sunil, Wallace - if he didn't jump ship to join the Guard with Vaida, and now Saifer. Even small additions were useful, after what happened to so many of their valuable officers during the siege... Amelia closed her eyes for a moment.

There was a sudden soft pat to the back, and the General opened her eyes, looking over to Leon. "'Melia, yer on break! Ya got here before me and ya certainly earned it! Go along now! I'm sure ya can relieve me in one hour."

Amelia briefly contemplated the idea of leaving for an hour. What was she supposed to do? She couldn't return to the manor, as the trip there and back would take more than an hour (and someone there wouldn't let her come back, surely), and Amelia knew that walking around idly would only make her side hurt more.

She gave a soft sigh and nodded. "All right. One hour. I'm going to get a drink. I'll come back with one for you." She slowly rose from her stool, easing herself as casually as possible to the ground, considering her side, and looked over at the commotion gathering around their stand before walking away. Her pace was slow, trying to ensure she put as little weight on her injured side as possible, but measured and even. Had to blend in, after all.
