"No problem," he said with a small, lop-sided grin in response. "And yeah," though he hadn't quite caught her name, or if he did he'd forgotten it already. It was hard to remember so much new stuff all at once. Well, that was one reason why he was here, to relax from all the trainee crap he had to do still.
He followed the group into the bar, then paused to take a cursory glance around. He'd never been in one before - how had he gotten in when he wasn't old enough to drink? ...did it really matter? No, probably not. So far he couldn't spot anyone he really knew, which was.. sort of intimidating. Crap, why did he come here again if he couldn't even go talk to people?

She could have argued that point - she was aware of what would and wouldn't hinder her because of experience rather than speculation - but it was a discussion that could have carried on for hours with yield from neither side, so she let it drop. How she addressed her weaknesses was a personal matter anyway.
Unaware of his annoyance with her lack of response, she offered a quiet thanks for the open door and glanced around momentarily. Much nicer than the traditional image of a bar, she noted, but the sudden hypothetical scenario distracted her from more fully absorbing the scenery. She tilted her head slightly, her expression suggesting that that was an obvious answer. "I'm fairly good at ignoring unpleasant people. I'm even better at dodging physical advances." She wasn't particularly strong, but she prided herself on her nimble reflexes. "You needn't worry about me, if that's what you're implying. Find your client." That said, she moved away with a nod to dismiss herself, gravitating toward a seat in an unpopulated area. As she moved, she noted the number of faces she recognized... A strange coincidence, though she had known stranger.

Just when he was questioning whether this was a good idea or not, he did a double-take and spotted a familiar head of black hair, complete with unique rosy eyes. "Aila," he said with a grin, relaxing a bit more as he moved over to join her. He wasn't as used to crowds as he thought, especially when he felt pretty much alone in them. The appearance of a friendly face was more than a little welcoming. "Hola. What are you doing here? You here for the party too?" Not that she really seemed like the type to party or drink or anything, but.. actually, if she didn't seem like the type for any of those things, why was she here? Well, for all he knew she could love parties or something, it wasn't any of his business.

With a mischievous smile, Izaya nodded and bowed like a gentleman as the agent left him. Despite Aila's apathy toward his words, he was pleased to be lucky enough to have a chance to slip away so easily. Allowing himself to disappear among the throng of growing people, he left his escort to mingle with the crowd, imagining that she would soon discover the true nature of their gathering here.
So many guests were already arriving! It seemed they had made it just in time. Walking over to one of the bar tenders, the informant asked how the man was doing and explained the nature of the party that was about to take place. He requested the use of a few of the TVs, mics, and karaoke machines, to which the man happily obliged. It was good to know they would be receiving a lot of customers this evening. Thanking him, Orihara settled at the counter, observing the people as they entered; non-Rockets and Rockets alike. Hopefully Aila would be too distracted with her current addressee to notice him idly watching close by. Maybe that was all she needed to get a little flustered...someone more her age.

A familiar voice and a now-familiar foreign word alerted Aila to Inigo's presence before she physically noted him. The expression with which she greeted him, however, was perplexed. "Good evening, Inigo." Niceties first. "I wasn't aware there was a party. I suppose that's why there are so many of our coworkers here... But no, I'm here as an escort. One of the junior members I'm familiar with had someone to meet here." And what were the chances that the Rockets had organized an outing in the same venue that Izaya had agreed to meet with his client? Math wasn't her forte, but she could surmise that they were pretty small indeed. Well, stranger coincidences. Benefit of the doubt.

"You didn't?" This was clearly a surprise to him, as evidenced by his tone and raised eyebrows. "I thought everybody did," or at least a bunch of people had, judging from how many had accumulated in the garage beforehand and were slowly trickling in now. Huh, that was weird. "I got an email about it from whoever set it up. Name was.. ...uhh.. Something weird I can't really remember, I don't know who it was, but I think a lot of people got it." But then why would he, a new trainee, receive the email but not Aila? "Anyway, whose your uh," escort, junior members - what.. "Uh, whoever it is you came here with, are they waiting for someone from the party or something?" As far as he knew, the only people from the base that were there tonight were there because of the party that had been arranged beforehand. What other reason could there be?

"Well... At least one didn't," she said with a shrug and a dismissive smile. It didn't really matter anyway, for she would have declined the invitation if she had received it. "Izaya," she filled in the whoever-it-was-she-came-with, for the sake of making the conversation easier. "No, he had an arrangement with a client from before he was hired. With regulations as they are, he wasn't allowed to come by himself, so I'm accompanying him until he's finished his appointment." Which, hopefully, wouldn't be too long...

"Izaya?" He repeated with a frown. It certainly was a weird name to be sure, though for some reason he had a nagging feeling it was one he should remember... Ah, she didn't get the invite. "Sorry," he said reflexively, rubbing the back of his neck with one hand in what was obviously a sheepish habit. Not that her not receiving an invitation was his fault in the least, of course. "A client? For what?" He couldn't help but wonder what this guy did before being recruited to Team Rocket if he had clients.. wait. "Why would he meet them in a bar?" That was... rather odd, like his name..... wait. Waaait a second. "Ah," he said finally, expression clearing, "I thought I recognized that name, it was the one on the emails." But why would he set up a party and want to meet with a client at the same time? That didn't make any sense.

She tilted her head slightly, unsure of what was being apologized for, but dismissing it with a wave of her hand nonetheless. "I'm not sure; he didn't say," she replied. "Maybe the bar was a halfway point, or maybe it was the client's choice..." There were any number of reasons they could have met--
She stopped in her thoughts, narrowing her eyes slightly, at first in suspicion, followed swiftly by realization. "Ah." A frigidness settled into her demeanor. "I see. I've been tricked. I'm going back." She turned sharply, the hem of her dress fluttering with the sudden motion. She could have been reading at that very moment. Cozy in her bed with a book and a cup of tea. Idiot.

Well if the client didn't say, then that couldn't be helped, especially if.. wait what? "What do you mean?" Tricked? Aila? Who would... oh, was it the Izaya guy? Did he even have a client? ...from the sounds of it, probably not. Crap. "Going back where?" He asked, not sure what to make of her chilly countenance and how fast it had changed. He also wasn't sure what she meant, but he certainly hoped she wasn't leaving - which was evident in his own expression because him hiding anything was like trying to hide a full-sized Rhyperior in an open field in broad daylight, or in other words, pretty much impossible.

"Back home, back to my room, back to what I was going to do before I got dragged here for a client that doesn't exist." Maybe she was jumping to a conclusion here; maybe it really was just a coincidence. Yes, maybe it was a coincidence that Izaya had e-mailed everyone at the base besides her telling them that there would be a party at the same bar and on the same evening he was planning to meet with a client. That made perfect sense. Like hell. So caught up in her indignant rage was Aila that she complete overlooked any emotion Inigo might have been blatantly displaying on his face.

Jerome managed to find himself a bottle of beer, and a random wall to lean against, eyes narrowed softly at the groups in the bar, but he didn't seem to be looking at anything in particular.
Casually swigging away at his beer, ignoring any look he might have been getting from usual party goers. He recognized very few in this bar, mostly just the ones he drive here with. One face he did pick out after a lengthy solitude, a man by the counter, the guy from the hospital room Jerome had been healing in.
"Hn" Pushing himself off the wall, he easily made his way over to Izaya. propping his elbows on the counter as he leaned on it, drink still in hand. "An look at ya all dressed up and slicked out, Furs."

Ah...there. The subtle but instant change in her expression. Oops, no, it wasn't very subtle anymore. Izaya giggled quietly to himself as he watched from his relatively safe perch on a bar stool across the room. There she went, ready to head back...which was just fine with him. That just meant he didn't have to be supervised. He couldn't see how she would take the car and leave him stranded if she didn't drive; likely she'd use one of her pokemon, so getting back to the base later on would be a breeze.
But wait - what was this...? The young man she had been conversing with was following her? And with such an expressive look on his face! The informant had to keep his hand over his mouth to avoid bursting into fits of laughter. Hardly ten minutes in and Aila already had an admirer. That was, if the boy hadn't had a crush on her already. "You should thank me, Inigo..." he murmured, recognizing the persistent guy as one of his very own fellow trainees. "You probably would have never seen her looking so feminine and all dressed up if I hadn't had her come along..."
"Eh?" Hearing a nearer voice, Izaya glanced up, his smile flaring into a grin as he recognized yet another trainee friend of his. "Jerry-kun! Just the man I was looking for. Glad you could make it," he said happily, hopping off his stool. "Here, would you mind holding this for me for a minute? I have to go to the bathroom~" Handing Jerome an object which he seemed to pull out from nowhere, the slippery informant ducked and attempted to disappear into the crowd - hopefully before Jerome could pick him out. He didn't want to underestimate the former gangster's skills, however. After all, they had lived on the same streets for quite a while. The object in Jerome's hand, as it turned out, would be a microphone.
Maneuvering through the people, both Rockets and non-Rockets, Trainee Nakura made it to the stereo where he turned up the mild background music gradually. He hooked up a small laptop lent to him by the bartender and opened it. The monitor instantly displayed a virtual playlist, the light casting an eerie glow on Orihara's face as he sneered deviously. He clicked a button and the intro to a song began to play. All the lights in the bar dimmed for a minute before throbbing in time to the new beat. Within seconds, a countdown was given on the tv screens overhead before words began to appear.

Completely oblivious to anyone who might be watching, Inigo watched Aila with an obviously confused expression. "But you just got here," he reminded her, one eyebrow raising a bit over its twin. Why would she leave so soon? Well, the thought of being tricked wasn't pleasant in the least, so that was probably it... But since she was already here, why didn't she just stick around and try to enjoy herself anyway? "Why don't you stay for a while and try to have fun? You're already here anyway," he suggested with a small shrug. He didn't realize how much he wanted her to stay even when she had every intention of leaving.

Equally oblivious to any potential audience, due largely to the fact that there were simply so many people there, Aila stopped with a sigh and folded her arms loosely, turning a disaffected gaze on the trainee. "I don't like these sorts of places. They're noisy, often foul, and full of people I'd rather not associate with." Well, today it was full of Rockets, and while they were usually an okay sort, once they were drunk - as they invariably would be, given where they were - they would be just the same as any other drunk: insufferable.
