They either come with time, or you make do without." He smiled, "Look at me. I'm not exactly, what my family is. But I'm better to be me, rather than try to be them. Be who you are," He nuzzled her gently before recalling she probably wouldn't like that much.

She started to stutter for a moment finding herself lost for words before finally settling for a coy and shy look and a blush in silence. After a brief moment, she cleared her throat. "But.. I've always wanted to be a lady to be honest. call it a lady with a twist." She chuckled once more lightly head butting him.

Illarion ducked her head as she butted him back, he could feel his dark skin colouring up. "And I've always wanted to be a bit more free like my family, but I'm more focused." He shrugged his shoulders, "We're both just different aren't we?"

"I guess... but different can be fun." She chuckled once more. "My mother's so high strung that I'm surprised that she even had foal to be honest. She kinda seems like she scares the stallions away before they even get the chance to see that she's rough and tough but also fun and tender." She grinned once more and looked about. "Then again my grandfather always did believe in conditioning his family for fighting just on the off chance that something ever happened."

Illarion couldn't help but smirk at the way she described her family. "Your family prepares that much?" He raised a quizzical eyebrow. "Has anything ever happened to make them start that or are they just---wary?" There was something vaguely familiar about this.

She thought for a moment. In all her days with her grandfather she never recalled anything being said as to why they were conditioned and trained to fight and be in the ways of a warrior. "If something did.. it was a long time ago and I doubt he's even told my mother. She's the eldest and I think in some ways the favorite.. At least it seems to be the thing that stirs up a bit of trouble with my mother and her youngest sister.. All I know is that what ever happened in the past.. I'm sure that it's something he'd rather not talk about which is fine by me.. I'm willing to let him tuck it away and move on with life."

Illarion nodded, though he could feel the tug of curiosity. There was really something familiar about the stories she told of her family, but he really couldn't place it. It just must remind him of something he heard once, or a dream---or something.
"My family doesn't talk about their past. There's only mom and dad, and we dont' know anyone else. It must be nice to have such a large family."

She couldn't help but to laugh some. "Soon to be made larger by my brother I should think.. He seems to keep sneaking off to see some one and I suspect it's a pretty little mare or something." She chuckled a bit more. "Though I can't say I'd blame him from trying to keep her a secret.. I think I'd be afraid to bring anyone home to see my family.. they're all.. high strung and nosy.. Mostly hyper though." She bumped his shoulder with her own. "Big families are both a blessing and a curse I guess. Like.. if you want to find some time alone it can be hard when you all live so close.. or if you do something stupid.. the rest of the family knows in a flash. But they're always there when you need them the mot."

"I have to say it sounds great," he could feel his skin tingling as she touched him. "My family doesn't...they don't really interfere with anything." He shrugged his shoulders, "Sometimes it gets lonely. But mainly, it's just...complicated. No one ever scolds me when I do something wrong, or checks up on me--not usually. You're very lucky."

She chuckled lightly. "Maybe I am.. perhaps. I'm sure they wouldn't mind you tagging along.. i think they'd be happy I had a friend... er... well.. maybe not. last friend one of us brought home wound up resulting in myself and my siblings." She laughed lightly. "But really I think they'd be happy knowing I've met some other soquili.. I think they were starting to worry my bizarre obsession with my alter ego had scared others off."

"Your alter ego?" He raised a skeptical eyebrow. "So is that what they'd think of me?" He couldn't help blushing, "That I'm more than a friend? That there might be grandchildren soon?" He could feel his heart beating weirdly, and his mouth dry. Children was a bit of a scary concept at this point.

"Prot..." She chuckled in answer to his question... "Oh... no.. not more than a friend.. they just might tease you is all??" She looked at a loss for words. A first for her really giving that she'd been use to her mother, sister and brother and rest of her family nothing usually seemed to phase her. His obvious discomfort however did. "Sorry.. I didn't mean to embarrass you..." Her face actually flushed a tinge of pink to the peach tone.

"But what if..." He paused delicately. He wanted to say what if my face says something different, what if maybe what I was thinking of as a conquest as a slot courting was actually weighing on me? What if I told her that this was starting to feel...real? What would she say?
But maybe it was better off for me to say nothing, I looked down not daring to meet her eyes.

"Hmm?" She was thrown off slightly by his short, cut off sentence. Something seemed to have caused him more embarrassment or so it seemed. She looked at him awkwardly.. not knowing what to do next.
