Word spread of the war, though Shylah didn't know much about war still young and waiting for the one that promised he would return. She sat at the ridge when the sky's turn their colors mixed with the clouds wondering if some special dragon magic would make him appear. There was dark clouds that were making the skies more redder than the calms setting, and the smell of burnt wood felt the air. Shylah stretched her wings as her thoughts wandered about what might be happening and in the same second she closed her eyes. She felt something deep inside that made her want to just jump out and act, But what was the correct action? Should she tell someone that she feels something, but how can you explain this feeling, she looked around to make sure that no one was playing tricks on her. She was alone, did something happen to her friend? Or is something going to happen and...? She closed her eyes again, she didn't feel the initial shock as before cause she was deeply looking for it and when she did she could some what sense a thick struggle between two energies, what were these energies?

================================
Resting, while still letting her wings grow back so they can become stronger. Rushia woke from her nap looking distantly in one direction, like something of her was just jerked for a brief second.
=================================

Target stumbled as his legs caved from the initial shock of what he felt, on top of his fear. He gave up laying in the dirt as the vines just wrapped around him and bound him tightly. As much as the plant life hurt as it gripped tighter Target panted laying there in a mindless void of what was going to happen, what was happen, and what has happen.

============================================

IT was like the battle paused when the Prince and the King clashed, but seeing the the white dragon drop as they finally caught him. Bullseye mind was set still to get to his brother and as he landed right in front of him, he knew it wouldn't be a good greeting, They were much different now.
"Keep cover on this one." Ira yelled to her small squad as she looked around for a place to drag the dragon away and set him free from this mess. " You three help, carry him off that direction till you can barely see the smoke rise." Ira looked at Bullseye and pat his mane, 'we have something I feel we should be staying for going to regroup with Leverne'
Once the party had good hold of Target the continued doing what Ira said. Both Ira and Bullseye waited till they couldn't see the white of Target any more while making sure non were successfully taking aim at them
.

======================================
Toft stood from his seat as he narrowed his eyes something was being decided and it was killing him that he wasn't in the middle of it.

======================================
Enduria still waiting outside the other reborn's prison scratched her neck and rolled her wings at the eerie feeling that crawled up her spine.

'By all the oaths...' both dragon and rider knight swore in tandem as the flash occurred below at the king's location. Obviously something got past the lines and this was big. From where the leading knight pair were, they watched as a black dragon made a speedy turn around from the scene while the army was clearing a wide circle around where the flash had originated.

Passing along orders for the rest of their flight to continue on to the landing point, placing the second in command in charge, Knight Tumlar with his rider broke away from rank and began to make a dangerous turn inward over the open and still very active field to tail the unknown dragon, attempting to glide through air and come at it from above, battle claws open.

--

Taking the reigns, the curled ram horns of the riding beast bucked back as it was pulled around into a half circle away from the prince before stopping. The king slid off his decorated ride, putting it between him and the prince before giving it a few fae words and a brief swat with his shield sending it off and out past the ring of armed spectators that were now gathering at bay.

"Fool!" he condemned, now standing on even footing with the challenger, the decorative markings of the house rose edging the armor. "The Cycle knows when things must be. To have sought and drawn the Path into this..." The king's shield pulled more forward as he began to step closer and began to circle, sword still tinted with fireglow. "Duty is for those who know what that is. You are not ready for what comes, and I shall make that clear!" he screamed before charging at Kocerou.

"We command the Cycle," Kocerou snapped in response, "We are part of it and your insistence on remaining distant from its workings is nothing but an excuse to retain your power!"

The Prince braced himself, dropping his center of gravity low so that the King would come to bear at him from above and he'd be able to push back from the ground. He had his own shield and sword free and was in a 'A' stance with the sword tip almost meeting the shield tip. He held his ground. Around him, the Blessed Path bled into the fabric of reality until it seemed like he stood on two grounds at once, one the earth of the battlefield and the other made of woven light.

"Stay back," ordered the Queen to the soldiers surrounding her, "Let them fight. They invoke the Path and we would do well to stay clear." She frowned. "Have the casters let slip the spell that has tangled the ground. Have the Dragon-Knights attack Kocerou's forces from the rear - force them out into the open. And move my heavy cavalry to the middle and have them prepare to charge. I am in command now."

((Jay, for the hell of it, let's make the Dragon-Knights hit the fringe where Toft is hiding))

warned Blade as he glanced back once,

Not bothering to look back as well, Astalder pressed forth, trying to steer clear of their pursuer. It wouldn't be long before they got into range now and since his bound was going to be dealing with the fire, he just needed to focus on keeping his mobility up.

Immediately, the thief leaned down to hold on tight as Astalder banked away, narrowly getting out of the way of the diving knight. The sudden motion kept Blade from launching a fireball in the meantime.

The knight pair that had just past them banked the opposite direction as they dropped below, maneuvering to avoid retaliation from above and regain height, come around for a second pass.

'What are those two trying to do?'
Bantone queried his dragon half watching their target, a dragon and bound pair that seemed to be in better condition than most out where the fighting was. At least the dragon seemed to be flying well. More difficult to tell with the rider.

'Does not matter. They are heading for the area of the main battle and not stopping.' Tumlar focused on the air currents, picking up on the patches of rising air coming from below, borrowing his bound's vision occasionally to better adjust his angles as he tried to pursue.

That was true. Bantone readied his sword as Tumlar began to swing back around attempting to close in the gap between the knight pair and the black dragon and rider from behind but level this time.

========

Those Dragon Knights that remained flightworthy, a number that was barely half of what they started off with, took to the skies again, approaching the backside of the rebel army in pairs. Downward the crashed upon the forces they had been ordered to flush out, altering the pincher maneuver that had been working on the dwindling army previously.

From above Toft came a very large shadow, a sudden pick up of air, and the ruckus of what sounded like the sails of a ship unfurling in the wind getting closer all too quickly.

Toft then saw the shadow and reached for his dagger as he turn to see what was coming towards him, while dropping down off the cliffs edge to give him more room while looking for a blind side,before he open his wings and flew in off in an effortless horizontal line to watch the attacker fly by.

With adrenaline rushing through his body, Blade managed to hold on before glancing back at the knight pair behind them. With them giving chase like this, he wasn't really sure if he could ever get a good shot at the branches below. While he didn't really want to have to take on the knights, it seemed that it would be inevitable in this situation.

warned Astalder, giving his bound a split second before he suddenly dipping, turning, and sharply cutting his speed, hoping the two would end up zooming right past.

The Path around the King and Prince widened until the two existed solely on the Blessed Path, cut off from the world around them as they battled. The two were unevenly matched, but their respective strengths prolonged the battle. Kocerou was younger and faster, brash, and committed himself to attacks the King did not expect. In turn, the King had experience and patience on his side and he hung back, waiting for Kocerou to make a mistake that he could exploit. Around them the strands of white light hung like threads, and as they brushed against each of the combatants they sparked and the light surged to him in turn.

A distance away, Sain stood in concentration, Thorn in his hands. He frowned in distaste. Part of him longed to simply bind them both with those threads and end this matter that way, but the fae were part of the Blessed Path in some remote way whether he liked it or not. They had a right to drag it into their wars, however foolish it may be. So he kept his post and any stray vibrations that shot off from their meddling was quickly isolated and subdued.

Location: Dragon Knight's Launch Point:
(Wounded NPC Knights, ?Warden/Jace?)

The two healers of the order scrambled as from both directions a few Dragon Knights returned to land, some with more accuracy and strength than others. One had practically tumbled from the air like rain and slid across the dirt while another bugled in alarm as soon as he landed, his rider wearing a tabard more red than orange.

The others who were able to fly did not even manage time to land, instead regrouping midair when orders were passed upward to them. They, with the exception of Tumlar and Bantone who had took chase after the black dragon, those knights still capable of flying turned back to the battle as one group circling wide to the side to come around the Prince's struggling army from behind.

The ones on the ground were left to get the attention of those healers available to them as they were not fit to fight nor fly anymore, leaving them to watch the battle as they waited if they still had a right mind for it while being tended or waiting to be tended.

Those also able to watch were close enough to see the ring of fae being made not too far away and sense the shift in the focus of the battle... right before watching what the ring was centered around begin to flash like fireworks. When a flash went off a streak of light shot overhead of the watchers in a random direction, some instantly disappearing after a breath while others fizzled out after flying a little longer. One streak zipped through the air above the grounded knights, crashing into the distant landscape.

Location: At the Edge of Battle
(Toft)

First it had been a shadow of a dragon he had to dodge as he stalked the edge of the field. But that threat had passed and it had seemed that the Dragon Knight that had been inbound had not even known he was there. There was now this funny popping sound though coming from the direction of the King's army, even just barely audible over the metalic din.

That was before his shadow started to grow and a hissing sound was quickly growing louder behind him (while the light streak quickly closed the distance on the flying fae).

Location: Above the Battle
(Tumlar/Bantone, Blade/Astalder)

The knight pair closed in, Bantone holding sword out in attempts to score a slash at the black dragon's side or wingsails as they drew closer. Anything to get them to turn away from wherever they were heading, even better if they could be diverted farther away from the ground troops where they could be captured and detained more easily, put down if last resort. That was all secondary, however.

Tumlar's bound, his eyes to see where he could not while flying, turned from the black dragon maneuvering in front of them to a flash of something RIGHT behind them, his sword hand dropping to the saddle to hold on.

Before even his bound could shout for him to bank, Tumlar had instinctively spun in the quickest direction he could to dodge the unknown behind him, barely missing the ball of light. But something still did not feel right.

Tumlar discovered the answer too late. The arrow that had struck his side had cut into one of the leather straps holding down his saddle, the excessive momentum of the instant spin breaking the second belt on the same side letting the saddle bounce wildly with his bound strapped to it. Quickly, the dragon tried to right himself so he was not still turning sideways, a 'crack' sounding as Bantone's weight pulled one of the remaining two straps on the left, thin.

'Tumlar!' his bound screamed as he held tight to the saddle about to give, sword plummeting to the ground below.

The Dragon Knight attempted to counterbalance the shifting weight but it was like bouncing a pigskin ball between the stubby things he called wings - but much heavier. He had no way to make Bantone stop moving once he started, and his bound careened hard into the fins of his wings causing him to tip too far in the other direction.

He felt more than heard that of his bound in the air as the last two of the four straps gave way.

Bantone roared as he tried to turn and dive for his other half who already had a head start for the ground.

Anyone watching could not tell if he had caught him or they had crashed into the vines below...

Warden and Jace

Finding the area where the healers were stationed, Warden ended up practically crashing into the ground as his wings finally gave away, skidding into the dirt as a result. His rider wasn't quite able to stay on with that, as he ended up tumbling off from the impact. The two remained still for a moment or so but eventually stirred some. As far as damages went, Warden was worse off, seeing how the arrow was still lodged in his side whereas Jace was bruised up with a possible fracture here or there.

Blade and Astalder
Seeing how he had turned around, the first thing Astalder saw was a brilliant light coming right at them. Eyes widening, he did what he could to take evasive maneuvers. At first it seemed that both parties had avoided disaster with that stray streak of blessed magic, but it soon turned out to not be the case as the black dragon took note that the knight's saddle had been broken in the process.

Within moments the human was tumbling down with his dragon diving after him in an effort to save him, leaving the rogue pair stunned for the moment.

Blade now realized he had a clear shot to burn the vines, but he hesitated. Doing so now could very well doom the knights if they had survived the fall. Gritting his teeth, he stared down below with the thoughts racing on through his head. This wasn't the same as taking out some thugs trying to mug or kill him. Even then, he normally wouldn't go out of his way to finish someone off if they were already down for the count. But at the same time...

This was war. More lives were at stake than two knights.

Taking in a breath, he closed his eyes for a moment before tapping into the magic Astalder could provide him, then launched a fireball down below to the vines, hoping to clear things for Kocerou's army.

A Dragon's shadow one thing, his own shadow is another. His blood pulsing quickly as he flicked his tail and shot straight for the darken clouds in the sky to avoid that was heading straight for him. The smoke burned at his lungs till he flew high enough above them, cough to dislodge the discomfort turning to see if he avoided it. "This is what I get for being a witness, Figures" his scales itched even more to beat the crap out of who ever sent the shot in his direction accident or not. putting his dagger away, he pulled out his two short swords and twirled then in his hands closing his eyes thinking he was pretty much clear for a few seconds but kept his ears on alert. "Come now who was it that called me out." from watching the battled field he knew just about where everyone was at where the light came from. Toft open his eyes, "Well when fire reigns from the skies, they are going to destroy everything, and just leave nothing but a scar in the lands." Toft then flew towards the direction where the light came from hoping he is high enough to be unnoticed.

The fire caught on the vines quickly and it hopped from thicket to thicket, spreading like the wildfire it now was. On Kocerou's side, the army was pulling back, regrouping, and it was moments from an organized retreat. Already the Queen's forces were sending their mages to the fore to quell the fire that stood between the two armies, and Kocerou's generals were hastily reevaluating the situation. The sudden disappearance of Kocerou wasn't helping things. The army was not willing to sound the retreat without their Prince. It hesitated, teetered on the brink, suddenly without orders.

Leverne stood between Sain and the flames that danced around them. The Blessed seemed oblivious to the danger and it was only Leverne's fae magic that kept them intact. Still, Sain faltered, his attention wavering, and power went awry. The connection between reality and the Path spread, like cracks in glass, and one such crack split directly over the Queen's right flank. Fae collapsed, drawing in on their own private reservoirs of magic to keep from being town apart by the raw power that was seeping through into their world.

In the center of the battlefield with the Blessed Path, the advantage of power went to Kocerou. The Prince cried out and the Path surged to him in response, wrapping into his bones and muscles, and he darted forwards with an overhead swing that the King had no choice but to block. It split his shield in two, shattered his breastplate, and threw him back four feet to land heavily on his back. Kocerou charged, catching his sword at his side and readying it to land in the King's heart once he closed the distance.

With Kocerou's army regrouping as planned, Astalder went up in altitude once more before circling back around to make his way towards where they left the Prince and King. They really had no idea of how the battle between those two went down, but they were going to try and provide backup just as they said they would.

Both dragon and bound kept a sharp eye out for any hostiles along the way, trying to keep high in the air.

Though, the dark dragon's advance slowed as he saw the brilliant light up ahead thanks to the surge of blessed magic abound.

Astalder warned. Even so, he didn't turn back just yet.

It went in slowed timed lapsed effect seeing all that was around them shatter in hairline fractures as if this was just a frail realm to began with. Amongst slowing to stop Tofts nerves sent a power hungry anxious feeling as he saw the largest crack ripped through like a someone was rewriting a scared impression with a quill across paper. Just like the other Fea he drew upon his own private reservoirs of magic which was already Dragon and Fea to keep from being town apart, but now faced another problem falling. Toft stayed limp as he fell waiting for the right moment in this slowed down time rip that he would find that strength to continue forward, or that perfect moment to spread his wings to slow the fall enough for him to catch something effectively. Toft's eyes watched the sky, it was a nice change to fall and have time to enjoy it.

The King coughed, his vision blurred, and it seemed all he could see was light. Then his fingers closed on his sword and he gestured. The threads of the Path flared into brilliant light and blinded, Kocerou could not see the single - precise - thrust that the King made.

The agony of it threw Kocerou's strike off. The sword glanced and the tip settled into the King's shoulder before falling aside and laying abandoned on the ground. The King sat, still holding his sword poised, and before him Kocerou dropped to his knees. The Path was fading. The world was restored to them and Sain relaxed. He gestured, shaking his hand, and the last threads of the Blessed Path were gone. Then he gestured again and the fire in a radius around them ceased to exist, simply undone from being. Both him and Leverne were safe now. His part here was done.

"Thank you for your sword," he said mildly, handing it back to Leverne, "I wish you luck with the rest of this debacle. Gods, I'm starting to hate the Silver Rose."

In the middle of the field, the King was rising to his feet. He still held his sword, lodged in Kocerou's body, just under the ribcage. The Prince's eyes were wide with fear and blood trickled from his mouth when he tried to speak. The King stared at him a moment, then twisted the blade, and wrenched it free. Kocerou cried out and doubled over, then fell to his side, his long hair strewn about him like a halo.
