"Don't use that as an excuse." Esus said, only half joking. He didn't like her past, it ticked him off and made him want to go break a few bones. For a non-violent fox, this was quite a feat.
The couple of whacks with her tail had him smiling again though. He turned quick and caught the fluff with the second hit, tugging it gently before letting go again. "Uh-huh. Change the subject why don't you." He teased.

“Oh I shall” She stated and then quiet again. As they walked towards their destination Xiaoshi spent most of the time staring at Esus. She should try and be nicer to him after all the poor phim had to deal with her snarky attitude.
So when he was off looking the other way she leaned over and place a small kiss on his cheek. “thank you Esus” she smiled before looking up at the sky. “It’s a very nice day don’t you think?”

Esus paused when Xiaoshi kissed him on his cheek, but immediately resumed walking. He looked down at the vixen and smiled affectionately when she quickly changed the subject away from the kiss.
"Yes, it is a nice day today." Esus said, talking more about Xiaoshi's company and the little kiss more than the weather. "It's a nice, sunny day with a cool breeze to keep us from getting too hot."

She smiled glad that he had just accepted the small kiss. “Yes the breeze is much appreciated, truth be told I don’t actually like hot weather all that much. So I guess it doesn’t make much sense I joined a desert tribe” She explained. Luckily the oasis was big enough and had enough shade she worked around the hot temperature by swimming a lot. Well when she wasn’t taking care of all of Conundrum’s kids. “Oh did I tell you my elder had children again with that female I told you about, they’re apparently mated now”

"Ah. So you're getting plenty of practice, I see." Esus teased, flicking his tail. "Were they a handful? Some kits are, I hear." He hadn't been...well, when he wasn't argueing with his sister he hadn't been. However, when he and Persephone went at it, he was sure it drove his father batty.

“That would be a yes. However the most trouble I have had with kits was probably with Unia’s children. One had no emotions what so ever, another one refused to grow up, and the last one was so pessimistic I’m slightly surprised he’s still alive.” Xiaoshi stated shaking her head. “Oh and then I had to deal with phim babies. We need a winged carer for those” this was accompanied by another sigh.

Esus laughed. "You sound like a harrassed mother." He teased. He was telling the truth, though. It was probably hard to take care of kits all their lives and not feel some kind of bond with them. "I'm sure the reason he's still alive is that you raised him right. Pessimissim or no."

“Pfft I don’t see why kits can’t just stay with their parents. I think the modeity would admit a break in tribe duties to take care of your children” Xiaoshi commented shaking her head. Luckily as Carer her job would be to watch over her children. After all there was no way she was going to let Ate watch them. Sure her carer was a good one but at the same time she was just so… this earned another sigh.

"I thought carers watched the kits while their parents were busy with their tribe jobs? I didn't know you were basically their parent." Esus replied. "Besides, at least you'll be able to take care of our children."
Esus grinned at Xiaoshi and nipped gently at her ear. "Enough of this sighing. The sun is out, the company is good, and we're going to go visit our annoying sister. It will be fun."

“You know I’ll make sure to get along with her just to spite you” Xiaoshi threatened although it was more in general then anything Esus had said. She was trying to be better and killing brain cells for the ‘our children’ comment when she sometimes entertained the same thoughts would make her quite the little hypocrite.
“Well sure they go back to their parents at night time, but that’s what I am saying. There is always more than one fox assigned to the same job category so you should be able to take time off to go and raise your children.” Xiaoshi pointed out.

Xiaoshi tilted her head to the side as she thought about this. “Well I could be on your side, but that’s best saved for all the very important things. Little things like his I need to keep you on your toes so you don’t lose your edge” Xiaoshi explained with a sweet smile.

"My edge?" Esus asked, narrowing his eyes at her. "What edge would that be? And I have news for you, Angel, in the full scale war I have going with my sibling you should definitley be on my side." Yes, Esus was exageratting, but he was doing it with love. The phim broke out into a grin.

“Nevermind” she stated shaking her head. “ and I doubt it’s a full scale war, you are siblings that are on good enough terms to be introducing your mate too, and if it was truly a full scale war, I doubt you would have time to come out all the way to the desert to stare at tails” Xiaoshi pointed out and then laughed.
