So this was about revenge. Then again, if anyone had anything against him it was usually because of revenge. His line of work had made him a fair share of enemies over time. However, he had stiffened as he heard she planned on doing the same to him.
The sound of the explosion startled him as well. That crazy b***h had bombs?!
"Tell me where to go," he demanded lowly. Shun was pissed at the fact that she had drug Mitsu into this. The girl didn't deserve this. She didn't deserve most of the s**t that she went through. Aside from that... it hurt to know that even when he was away he still managed to get her in trouble. Well... he'd have to get her out of it now.
And he'd kill Nyx too given the chance.

Nyx chuckled into the phone as if this was a great game to be played. "Oh smiles, jumping to the end. I like that about you. You're very straight forward."
"There is a high rise building in between some hotels on Fourth Street and West High. Standford and Son is on the front. Meet me on the roof in twenty minutes. And try not to be late, the clock is ticking, Shun." It was the first time she had ever said his name and she said it with such venom as she shut the phone. The building she had mentioned wasn't far. It was well enough in range to see from where she was but far enough away that Shun couldn't just slip over here and release Mitsu.
Finishing her work up Nyx suspended Mitsu off one of the gargoyle waterspouts off the side of the ledge; several small ropes securing the girl into place. Each rope had its own small explosive which Nyx held the control for. It would be interesting to see Shun's reaction should she start blowing up Mitsu's life lines.
Cleaning up her mess Nyx headed over to the building that had been mentioned. Now it was time for the real game to begin.

Gritting his teeth, Shun said nothing else to Nyx and hung up rather roughly. He had his information so he was on the move now. While dealing with Nyx any other time would have seemed like a waste of time to him, he couldn't let Mitsu down. With any luck he'd be able to retrieve her and get her to safety before she woke up.
The assassin raced on through the streets and before long he was working on scaling the buildings with remarkable agility. Thankfully his body was back in working condition to be able to do just this.
All his weapons were with him, so he was more than prepared to take on the b***h of a kidnapper.
Not too long after he had hung up, he found himself where he needed to be. Once he was on the roof, he began looking around for signs of either girl. At first glance he appeared to be in his normal state, but there were some bandages wrapped around his head, covering his left eye. It was the one thing the healer couldn't salvage.

"Seems like you took a bit of damage there, Smiles." Nyx said casually stepping out from behind the small room the lead to a staircase down into the building. "Don't tell me you made someone else angry?" Despite her words she was smiling.
It seemed Nyx was prepared for a fight, the clothes she had on were black and close fitting so she wouldn't get tangled up in loose folds. In her hands were a pair of khopesh that she looked more than ready to use.
"I'm so glad you could make it on short notice...I'm sure Mitsu will be glad as well."

Hearing Nyx's voice, Shun quickly turned about to face her, glaring at the woman before him.
"You b***h. Why drag Mitsu into this when your problem is with me?" he hissed while drawing out his daggers. He was more than ready to take her on, so he was slowly walking towards the other as he spoke.
"She has nothing to do with anything I've done."

Nyx's expression suddenly contorted into anger, Shun's words provoking her side of rage. "Like you're one to talk. I know you've taken out your fair share of people that had nothing to do with the job you were doing. They were just innocent bystanders." Nyx hissed, drawing up her weapons and circling around as Shun approached. "You struck down my sister when you were really after my father. She had nothing to do with his business and you took her from me!"
Well, at least the reason was finally out there, and Nyx looked all the more wild because of it. "So why don't you do the world a favor, Smiles...and just roll over and die." Nyx hissed before she lunged forward slicing at Shun's midsection and chest with each khopesh.

"She was probably in the way. I fail to see how Mitsu is in your path here," he snarled in return. Shun still felt no remorse for having killed anyone. What stung was the fact that she had been brought into this as a result of all of that. It seemed that no matter what he did or where he was, she would still be put in danger just for being associated with him. If she ended up dying because of his deeds... he wouldn't know what to do.
"You first," he growled in return before shifting back and bringing up his daggers to parry the two blades. The assassin then followed up with an attempt to slash at Nyx's throat and belly at once.

Bringing the khopeshs back around, Nyx flipped them so that Shun's blades would hit the back curves on the large knives. Jerking her own blades downward she tried to catch Shun's daggers with the hooked tips of her own and pull them from his grasp.
"That's an easy one, Shun." She hissed his name, those sharp teeth prominent in her smile. "You disappeared and you obviously have feelings for the girl. So the easiest way to get to you is through her."

Shun managed to keep his grip on one of his daggers, but the other ended up clanging on the rooftop ground. Gritting his teeth, he lashed out to try and kick Nyx in the side of the knee before slashing out at one of her wrists in an attempt to slow her down first.
"Damn you..." he growled along with that.
This was why he didn't deserve to have Mitsu as a friend... why she deserved to be with Desmond instead.. Why couldn't she have just pushed him away when she knew what he was? Maybe if she had been the one to try and cut the ties she wouldn't be in this position right now.

Nyx stifled a noise as Shun landed a kick to her knee but was able to draw up her weapon to block his attack toward her wrist. Her knee buckled slightly from the pain but she hid it well as she lashed forward with her blades, doing a repeated stabbing motion toward Shun's middle.
"Who would have thought that a heartless soulless creature like you could manage to have feelings." Nyx continued. Apparently now that she wasn't trying to hide who she was she was going to talk like she often did. "You put her in danger the day you acknowledged her and you condemned her the moment you told her you loved her." That's right, Nyx had heard that rather awkward conversation. And while it hadn't gone in Shun's favor she knew he wouldn't just bury those feelings he had. Instead he just wallowed in misery which only proved to her how hung up he was on the wolf girl.
"It's only fitting that you watch her die like I had to watch my sister die."
High above the street, dangling from the waterspout, Mitsu started to stir. Wincing from pain as she came to, her blurry eyes tried to take in what was around her. She had the oddest sensation like she was hanging-
And that's when Mitsu's vision came into clarity, her eyes focusing on the traffic stories below her feet. At first she thought it was a dream, one of those horrible dreams that liked to haunt her about her fear....but there was pain. She usually didn't hurt while she slept so that meant this was very real.
As that realization sunk in Mitsu let out a scream, her body struggling in any way that it could to get back to some sort of safety. It was impossible though, she was bound tightly, her arms held behind her and there was no ledge or anything close by to retreat to. She was stuck.

With the stabbing motions, Shun managed to barely dodge, moving to the side. As he did he went and quickly scooped up his dropped dagger and hopped back. His eye had widened with Nyx's words... he didn't think anyone was around when he told Mitsu that. This all really was his fault wasn't it? But he couldn't stop fighting. Her life was on the line here along with his own. That didn't make the heavy feeling in his chest go away, however.
Freezing in place as he heard a familiar scream, he turned towards one of the gargoyles. He couldn't see her, but he did see a few ropes from his vantage point.
"MITSU!" he cried out before running towards her. Maybe he could just get her to safety first and then deal with Nyx...

None of her marks had actually hit making the shifter even angrier. She was about to transmute her weapons into something else when Shun suddenly took off toward the location she had Mitsu.
"Ah ah ah," She called reaching into her pocket. In a swift motion she pulled out what looked like nothing more than a little black box but as soon as she hit one of the buttons it proved that it wasn't.
"Shun?!" Mitsu yelled out trying to locate that familiar voice. It had been so long since she had heard it. Was it really him?
She was about to yell out again when a small beeping noise caught her attention. Eyes frantically searching for the source she looked up in time to see a little black box attached to one of the ropes suspending her blink one last time before it exploded severing the line.
Slightly blinded from the bright flash Mitsu let out another scream as she suddenly descended a couple of feet before coming to a stop, the three remaining ropes holding her in place. The bindings pulled tightly around her middle and the injure she currently had making a wave of pain pass through her body.

Shun froze in place again as he saw a bright light flash from above Mitsu. There were several ropes still attached to her, so she hadn't dropped, but he got the message. Gritting his teeth, he glared at Nyx before glancing back at the suspended girl.
"Mitsu, I'm going to get you down! Just try not to panic!" he shouted towards her before turning his attention back to his foe.
"I just have to kill this b***h first apparently," he growled lowly.
Even more pissed at Nyx, he flung out one of his throwing blades at her before moving quickly to attack her once more. If the wolf girl was awake, she would definitely be freaking out rather soon about her positioning. He wanted to get her down as soon as possible.

Nyx smiled rather pleased with herself as she put the little box back in her pocket. "Easier said than done." She mused.
Nyx barely had enough time to grab up her second khopesh before Shun attacked throwing out a blade in her direction. Pulling up one of her Egyptian short swords she deflected the knife, lunging forward to help Shun close the distance before she threw out an attack as well. Her first was a feint attack toward his right side aiming a straight jab with her sword at his shoulder. The other attack, the one she was more concern with hitting, was aimed toward his blind side, her khopesh striking out at his chest.
Tears had already started to gather in Mitsu's eyes, though they were a combination of being temporarily blinded, captured, and in a place she really didn't want to be. How was it she always ended up being used to hurt other people? She hadn't expected this at all, maybe she was just too naive.
Starting to struggle again desperately wanting to get to a more level place or at least to have a solid structure beneath her feet, Mitsu didn't even pay attention to the fact that the ropes that held her in place weren't large. They were thin cords not designed to hold much weight. It lucked out in her favor that she was so small but a lot of struggling wasn't going to help her cause.

The first strike was deflected easy enough, but he noticed the second one coming at him a little too late. Though he had tried to move out of the way, the blade still managed to slice into him some. s**t. That was right. He couldn't see things coming from his left all too easily any more and he hadn't really had much time to work on defending that blindspot too well. At least that strike he took wasn't very deep at all.
Staggering back, Shun hissed and touched his fresh wound lightly before flicking some other specks of blood onto the ground.
"Lucky shot," he growled before rushing back at her, slashing out at both her midsection as well as the leg he had kicked before.
