((lol I know how that feels)) Aine glanced around the bar, her appearence uninterested, but her eyes took everything. She already knew who every one was here, whether she knew them personally or not. The bar was filled with wenches, mercenaries, gamblers, drunkerds and even two rangers. One had been here for awhile, the other newly arrived. Her gaze fell on him and she studied him as a cat would a mouse. He was like any ranger, a goody-two-shoes. It was written all over him. They were the ones who took her mortals back to safety after she was finished with them. Of course, they didn't know she was the cause of the dazed and/or half insane humans that stumbled through the forest every two or three weeks. However there was something a little different about him, but she couldn't place it. She shrugged it off and drank down the ale. To her, it wasn't very favorful yet she found a strange fasination with drinking it anyway.

The Journal of Raeclyn Cyulii I've been sitting in here for quite a while, and it doesn't seem as though anyone is being particularly vocal about what is troubling the townsfolk. Even more oddly, the woman in the corner is keeping a very keeping a very keen interest in me. I've never seen her before, and frankly it's making me a bit nervous.
I finished off my third tea and put the glass down. Casually glancing around the bar. She was still looking at me. I'm going to guess that It's the wings. They usually catch the interest of newcomers. I thought to myself. The waitress brought me another drink, and I gave her a little extra coin. She smiled and gave me a wink as she walked back to the bar to get the next round of drinks. The sky rapidly darkened and rain began pinging off the windows. I wasn't overly concerned about my grove. After all, it was in the forest, and I had secured everything a few moments before I left. I got up and walked to the window. Which also happened to be about five or six feet away from the woman who kept watching me. I loomed out through the glass as a lightning bolt arced and hit the ground somewhere in the fields. Thunder rolled and filled the tavern with a low rumble.

Aine continued to watch the Ranger/Dark Angel. Weren't they supposed to be bad? she wonder for the third time. She enjoying how he squirm a little under her gaze. He had quite a few drinks and written in a little brown book. She never looked away, even when he saw her looking. She was a little disappointed as he got up to leave. He came to look out the window by her table briefly and she smirked. "Planning to weather the storm?" she asked amused. Something caught her eye before he answer. There was something out there, barely recognizable in the rain, even to her. A human would not have been able to see it. However as she lightning struck, she knew what it was and her eyes narrowed in disgust. So they are out today. she noted, unamused. ((Whoa! I stumbled onto something cool.))

The Journal of Raeclyn Cyulii The storm is getting steadily worse. It would be foolish to try and return to my grove, so I think I'll stay at the inn for the night. The woman is still looking at me. She hasnt stopped since i first noticed her interest. Peculiar. There are shapes moving in the tree line. At the moment the rain and darkness is obscuring them too much to make out what exactly they are, but they are bigger than a human. I wonder what they are up to? Once again, time will tell.
I closed the notebook again and turned my attention to the woman, who had asked wether or not I would brave the storm. I shook my head. "no. The Rain is too heavy, and there is too much lightning for my liking. If I were to return to my grove, it would almost certainly kill me." I said to her. I looked her over again. She was indeed attractive, but there was something more about her. I sifted through my short term memory to when the man thst had been flirting with her became angry. He seemed to do so so suddenly. Too suddenly for the easygoing people of this town. glamour. I thought suddenly. And in the space of that second, she became a very dangerous person to have as an enemy. No danger to myself, as glamour would not affect me, but dangerous because she could influence others to act as they normally wouldnt. I pulled a chair out and sat down. Sliding my satchel off my shoulder, I slipped my journal into the rearmost pocket. "I couldn't help but notice that you had taken a very keen interest in me during my time here. Is there something I can help you with?" I asked her.
((what's that?))

((press F12)) Aine watched silently as he sat down at her table. A small smirk appeared on her face. She'd figured he'd come eventually. She took note of the notebook he places in his satchel, wondering briefly what was in it. But it didn't concern her much. Aine gave him a dazzling smile and she answered. "Not particularly. Just trying to figure out how a Dark Angel becomes a Goody-Two-Shoes Ranger. Your quite a contradiction." she chuckled. "Why? Are you offering?"

Rei nodded and picked Seth up. She set him down on her shoulders with ease with pretty much just one arm. She was taller than any human and stronger, having ogre like strength. She not only wanted Seth on her shoulders to keep him close and know where he was, it was so he could see the town from up where he was. She walked through before starting to pass vendors. She picked up a fruit and handed it to Seth before paying the clerk. She nodded to them and they pretty much stared in shock at her. She was nearly the tallest person there in town. "Are you having fun Seth?" she asked smiling at him. She enjoyed walking through town herself mainly because of all the weird stares she got. It was as if she was like a monster who had come out of the woods. Which she did come out of the woods but she was no monster. She had wondered what Seth thought when he first met her. She was like a giant to him, but she remembered the day she found him. That memory would never leave her.

((ehhh. I was going to try and have a journal entry for every post. But it seems as though that would impractical during a conversation. I'll jus put it into the next one I write up....what do you think of the journals by the way? I've never tried that before si hope it's not annoying or anything.))
I regarded her for a moment. I had never had to answer that question before. But the answer was easy enough to recall. In actuality, I didn't have to say anything. Indidnt have to reveal one shred of my past. But I started the story anyway. It started many years ago. During a small, but bloody war between Heaven and Hell. And yea even before that. My mother was an Angel. She and several others we attacked and taken captive. She was raped by a Dark Angel, my 'father'." I used the word as though it were a curse. she was still captive when I was born. The war may have been small, but was off and on over the course of 15-20 years or so. About 16 years after he capture she and her fellow captives escaped and she took me with her. Before I knew it I was standing at the Gates with my mother. the other Dark Angels, my father included, tried tk teach me to hate the Angels and everything about them. But I was also put on guard detail for them. And not once did I see anything to male me believe they were evil. Once my mother even gave up her meal, small though it was, so thst I could have something to eat. I stood before an Angel, called Gabrielle. One of the most empathetic beings to live. Even though it had not been my choice, I was still half Dark Angel, and could not be allowed into Zion. Gabrielle consulted with God and gave me the option to either return to the Dark Angels, or serve in earth as a Guardian for 2000 years, at the end in which, my blood would be purified and I would cease to be an Angel/Dark Angel hybrid, and become an Angel. I gladly accepted and for the past 1750 years I have given myself to the people. I finished my tale and found myself looking out the window at the lightning again

((Not at all. I like it. I had a similar idea with one of my characters in another guild. Though she only writes in it once in awhile. lol She's too busy to write more often)) Aine listened quietly. It was a story she was familiar with, she'd heard it and other like it from many different views. After he was finished, she rolled her eyes. "That was an interesting story," she smirked, "but one I could have done without. I'm not a big fan of sob stories." she informed him with arrogance. Placing her feet on the table, she raised her glass to him. "However, I congradulate you. You only have two-hundred and fifty years to go." She was impressed though. Few these days had that dedication, and he had a great reward coming; life in Heaven. Aine suddenly felt old and weary, but kept her expression confident so the Ranger wouldn't see. Heaven. That was probably a place she'd never see. She pushed that thought away angrily. She wouldn't think of such things.

I gazed at her thoughtfully for a moment before I responded. the story wasn't supposed to garner sympathy. I am quite content with my lot in life, and would gladly continue doing it, even after my time was completed. You asked me how a Dark Angel became a 'goody two shoes Ranger' and I told you what events had brought about the person you see now. I was still thinking about her comment, and subsequent general mannerism directly afterward. Much animosity. Anger at something or someone it seemed. I don't like it think of it as dedication as much as it's doing what I love. I spent alot of time among the Elves in the beginning, learning their secrets of the forest and how everything sustained eachother. They also taught me that the true key to being happy is doing what you love to do. And that too, is why I chose the life of a Ranger. Lorian moved past me and clapped me on the shoulder before heading up stairs to his room. Perhaps you could come into the forest with me tomorrow and see what there is to see? I could use a touch of company. I offered. I fully expected her to decline, but I at least gave her the courtesy of an offer.

Aine sighed and downed the rest of her drink. "Whether I want to or not makes no difference." she said dryly. "For that is my home and I must returned to it." Aine looked out the window, her thoughts on his words. To live doing what you love... that was something see did and did not do. She enjoyed doing many of the things she did, but there were thinks that inhibited her from taking of that which she most desired. Aine shook herself out of her thoughts. Why was she letting this Ranger make her despondent? She sighed. I should be happy with what I am by now."Another drink!" she called.

The waitress brought over a drink for the woman across from me, and the looked at me. "another tea for you, dear?" she asked. yes please. That would be wonderful. I replied. She went back to the bar and poured the drink. The game of throwing knives seemed to have subsided into a group of people casually drinking thei preferred ale, sharing stories from whence they came. I recorded my drink and gave her the coin to pay for it.

Rei heard Seth's stomach growl. She looked around trying to find the best place to eat, but this was a smaller town than most and only had about one place to eat and that was the tavern. She looked up at Seth "Stay close to me when we eat alright?" she said before walking up to the tavern. She entered the place and looked around. It seemed ok, but there were still some brute looking characters in there as well. She went to the counter and ordered some food for herself and ordered many plates. When Rei ordered the people looked at her like she couldn't eat all that, but Rei had quite the appetite. She looked up at Seth "is there anything special you'd like?" she asked Seth.
