Hi, I'm Camo. I'm 21. I like music and cheese.
Oh! about programming... I'm a freelance webmonkey. I have a thing for Ruby even though books about it aren't very comprehensive or good. I have a crush on regular expressions. I have a lot of opinions on Unicode, for better or worse. I like Ubuntu because I'm lazy. I dated a Pythonista (who was a good kisser). OOP and procedural have their ups and downs - the approach you take depends on the project in question. Why don't people ever think about resource management?!

o hai there! You can call me Liz, or Skunky, whatever you prefer :] I just finished freshman year at college (physics major, comp sci and astronomy minor). w00t! This summer I'm doing an internship in software development, which is totally awesome, because I'd be sitting around all day coding anyway, but now I get paid! XD Let me say, if you can get it a programming summer job is probably one of the best options ever.. most of my other freshman friends don't have marketable job skills yet and so they're stuck being a cashier, waitress, camp counselor, etc.
So, languages I know: HTML CSS XML/XSL Javascript PHP Python Django (a web framework for Python) SQL ASP.NET (C# and VB) Java
I just starting learning Python two weeks ago, same with Django, but it's for my internship, so it's been hardcore learning, and I actually feel pretty fluent already. I want to learn C, C++, Ruby, Perl, maybe Lisp (opinions?), also Java 3D stuff... And, I don't know much/anything about hardware or computer architecture, or networking - all I know is coding and software, so I also want to learn that. Oh hey, required classes for computer science minor ftw!
yes, I am such a nerd. XD But hey, I love it. If anyone needs help with stuff just pm me biggrin
