Fai started to tear up, but not because of the temporary fright, and not because of the kindness of the girl. But because of the way th guild master worded what he said, 'lie to the ones who raised and taught her'. Fai didn't like crying, and tried to do it as little as possible, but she couldn't help but tear up.

"I'm sorry Guild Master," she called as she went to hug him as he explained things to Ethan, drying her tears on his shirt. Guild Master was one of her teachers, one of the one's who, like he said, raised her. He and the Matron were like parents to her, and almost to everyone in the school who's been there since either a very young age or birth.

But she stepped back to her place next to her friend, remembering they were in the presense of royals, and calmed herself. She promised herself not to cry again... Although that'd be pretty hard if she disappointed a teacher, friend, matron or guild master again. That really was one of the things that could really set her off into crying, since all of them were so important to her.

Libi let the situation at hand run it's course for as long as she was comfortable, and then stepped toward the odd little grouping. She hadn't seen Ethen since he'd left, as anyone who ran from the guild (Which didn't happen often) would usualy never come back.

She couldn't blame him though, with the way he looked at Fai. She'd seen that look before.

"I think that would work on a... Probationary.. Period." The Matron took a moment to look at Fai, who wiped her tears on Kaede, and then her maternal instincts kicked in. Maybe Lightning had, indeed, frightened the girl. She knew her lips had turned downward in silent dissaproval. "And I think that even if Ethan were to refuse, he should eat breakfast. It wouldn't be kindly of us to have it any other way." And so the matter was set, in her eyes, and she turned toward Gabriel and Allison.

"Breakfast had already started as we've been standing out here, but there's plenty to eat, so let's head inside. No one should go hungry for too long, and we've all got long days ahead of us!" Libi smiled finally, and it reached her eyes, where it sparkled and stayed put. No wonder children thrived under her. With a flick of her skirts, and a gentle touch to Fai's shoulder, the Matron turned around to lead the Prince and Princess up to the Guild Building.

"Bring Ethan and Fai back up with you, dear, once everything's been settled." That was obviously meant for Lightning , even though she hadn't turned around to look at him. "I'm just going to make sure everything is under control inside."

Ethan glared at the Headmaster, gritting his teeth. His glare intensified when Fai had begun crying. He placed his hands on the girl's shoulder gently, to comfort her. A tight situation he was put in indeed. He had told himself he would never go back to these classes ever again. Not once had he stepped back inside the boundaries of the building's walls eversince he left. He didn't need to. Fai was always outside and he would meet her there. He moved his gaze over to Libitina and his eyes softened. The Matron was the only teacher which he had not have negative feelings about. When she had suggested a more reasonable version of Kaede's conditions, and began to consider the choices, just a little.

Now that the Headmaster knew of his prescence once again, there was no way he could come back here without getting caught. A choice he must make...his freedom, or Fai? He came up with his decision.

"Fine," he said, his tone hard and cold. "I'll come back. Contact my parents. I'm sure they'll send my things right away."

Life could be rather shocking

Kaede patted Fai's head to assure her that the situation was okay. He looked awkwardly since he wasn't so usually treated as such. That was, to be more of a comforting, father-figure. In his eyes, he was a goof ball of a teacher. Never once had he thought of himself as a role model. More like just some other guy. All his life, Kaede never felt special. Even then, when he was blessed with the title of Guild Master, he never felt more than like any other Graced person. Kaede cleared his throat but Fai seemed to back off. Inside, he was sort of relieved that she did since the hug, to him that is, made him uncomfortable.

Looking upon the approval of the Matron, he gave a giddy grin when he was allowed to do as he pleased. He clasped his hands together, watching with a rather enticed look at the royal twins and Libi's leave. He looked at her from behind, ogling her before looking back, now at Ethan. Lightning switched his hands from his front pockets to his back pockets.

"I'm sure they would be more than happy to. Welcome back to the Guild Ethan. You do know how much I hate losing my students. But now I get a helper as well. Oh, what fun! Now, who is absolutely starving? I am. You two, let's go eat breakfast," he murmured, motioning to the two. He walked leisurely to the building, off to where the other three seemed to dissapear at, whilst whistling the tune from earlier.

Fai had calmed herself down to the point where she was nearly completely over the whole experience, but she would not forget it. But her progress took a few steps backwards when she heard Ethan, it wasn't what he said that made her frown, but only for a moment, it was the way he said it. He didn't seem very happy, and she felt it was her fault since, she did ask him to come along. She sighed a bit, wonderful first impression for the new ones.

And yet, Fai still had her appetite, and was actually quite eager for the idea of breakfast. Ethan had comforted her, so she held his hand as they began their way to the building. She leaned towards him a bit and whispered, "Don't worry, there are some nice teachers, and the food is pretty good too~"

Allison walked at Aunt Libi's side, glancing behind her once as she felt conflicted on that situation, but it seemed ok. It was still odd. As they headed to eat, she could smell the food and wondered what Aunt Libi made. It seemed ok, but as soon as they entered the cafeteria area, Allisons eyes got a little wider "Thats..a lot of kids.." she muttered. Allison expected to eat with Aunt Libi, her brother, and Lightning at a quiet table, not with all these people. It seemed claustraphobic, and like everyone was watching them. They most likely were, but she looked up at Aunt Libi.

Ethan still mantained a cold expression as the Master droned on, the man resuming his cheerful attitude. Now, not only did he have to go back to these tedious classes again, he had to play slave boy (at least in his mind) to Lightning. How wonderful. Maybe this wouldn't have happened if he had refused to come along. But that meant letting Fai down. That was one thing he didn't dare do. He was too busy settling his emotions down that he didn't notice everyone else moving back until Fai took hold of his hand. He flustered, the pink color appearing on his cheeks again. This time a deeper shade. Her hand, in his! Was this his reward for coming back? He didn't know, but if staying with the Guild meant more time with Fai, he could put up with it for a while.

She leaned and whispered into his ear, about the teachers and such. It was the same thing she always told him whenever he stormed out of class and complained how none of the teachers liked him at all. He already knew what to expect once he came back into the Guild. Strict teachers, tiring lessons, limited freedom. They entered the cafeteria, and the students poked their heads up to see who was arriving. They could see the Headmaster, Matron, and Fai, but their gaze was on the two new students and him as well. Some of the kids grinned at each other, finding the rumours of the new students to be true and now off planning on how to greet them. Another part of their conversations, about, why the stubborn dropout had returned. Though a few of the girls managed to catch the sight of him and Fai holding hands. He blushed, and released his hand from Fai's grip.

Ethan tried to keep an indifferent expression, and succeeded. He knew to expect many questions (and perhaps a bit of mockery) coming from these students in the next few days. He knew to expect more strictness from the teachers now that he had returned. They would harden their ways with him and enforce rules more harshly. They would make sure he won't leave again. Not until he became what a proper student should be. Like everyone else.

"Let's eat," he told Fai, without much emotion, and then to Allison, "You'll get used to it, even if you may not enjoy it." At the end of the statement, he gave a brief, hard glance at Lightning and walked away to get his breakfast.

Libi smiled at the Princess's words as they strolled into the Dining Hall. Yes, there were plenty of tables, almost every seat full too. A lot more students, it seemed, than the children at her side had been expecting. "We have fifty-three, now fifty-six, underage guild members now that you two are here and Ethan has chosen to stay..." She watched the boy walk past, and her eyes sparkled again. "The rest of the people you see are guild members that either live or teach here, and I do suppose it's a lot more than we've made it seem over the years."

The guild, after all, was very tight-knit. They were a family that had nothing in common except their differently colored eyes, but that was enough. As for the children in attendance, they'd grown up here. They knew that had family elsewhere, most of them were in contact with their children, but they'd always been part of the guild. This was their home.

Even though volume had decreased ten-fold when the trio entered the Hall, it had already increased once more. Libitina took it upon herself to lead the twins over to a table set for about ten, which most of the others were, which had already emptied once and had now been left to be used by another group if so wished. She sat down and gestured for the twins to do the same. Bowls and platters of food sat in the center of the tables for everyone to serve themselves, just like at banquets, and so it was up to the Prince and Princess to choose what to eat.

Libi took nothing onto her plate just yet, glancing around the Hall to watch and make sure everything was settling as it should be in the morning, and that the younger children were ready for the day. Secretly, as she watched for troublemakers, she watched for the Guild Master as well.

At least, it was secret to her.

Fai didn't even notice that Ethan had let go of her hand, but was more focused on what she would have to eat when she got to the table. Her food-trance was broken when he heard what Ethan had told the girl. Fai rolled her eyes, then sat down next to the girl, "Don't listen to him, you're going to love it here. The students are very friendly from what I've experienced" She said with a slight smile, "The teachers, even the Guild Master when he's not... As childish as he usually is, are super~" She began putting a few food items on her plate, mainly some fruit and a veggie or two, she'd get more if she was still hungry. "Not to mention, the food is just so yummy."

Fai was about to start eating, when she noticed the rose still in her left hand. She hadn't even noticed that during the whole bought, one of the thorns managed to pierce her hand. She put the rose on the table, then pressed a napkin to her hand. It stung a little, but not enough to not eat. She started shoveling the food into her mouth, then looked at the girl again. She swallowed, "Do you and you're brother get along well?" She asked, "You two look awfully alike, are you twins?" she figured she would talk to her about something she knew, since that's what people say make the best conversations.

Allison was seated as she listened to Aunt Libi and looked at the food to the center of the table, as there was a lot of it, but it was more simple food than she was used to. She was deciding to how to make the best of this meal, knowing she'd have to take the bread and cut it to stuff meat inside it with whatever she may wish to put in it. A slightly familiar voice sat by her , Fai, and she looked at her with a slight surprised look and seemed so natural talking to her. Allison wasn't sure what to say, and if she should talik back. It wasn't a sense of feeling higher (Maybe it was slightly there, by nature), but it felt like rule almost. Commoner , she wondered. "Umm.." she started, and realized the mentioning of her brother as she looked around for him, almost getting frantic, but stuck to the conversastion "Yeah, we get along pretty well I think, and yeah twins. I'm older though" she almost grinned, and looked back at her with a more curious look. She wasn't sure what she was supposed to do. "What foods do you reccomend?" she questioned, as she normally asked some servant that when they presented her a meal, but she reached out to a familiar peice of fruit, all natural, to chew on. She would of introduced herself, but it didn't come natural as the times she did introduce herself were to her parent's friends and other noblemen they were introduced to. She realized then, how often did she head out to greet another? She seemed to never want to meet another person. Where was she half the time? Shopping, with her brother a lot, bathing and being alone in her room sometimes? Being a political figure. She was a bit conflicted.

Fai listened carefully as she ate her food, then turned to the girl again, "Wow! Twins... That's really cool." she said, she hadn't seen twins before, so it was an interesting moment for her. She giggled a bit at the comment that the girl was older, since she seemed pretty proud of it. Fai didn't think much about the girl's status, since, weren't they both human beings? Yes, so she didn't see much difference, other than the fact that the girl was so much more beautiful than her, and let off an aura that matched.

Fai thought for a moment at the girl's question, now.... Which one was better? Well, the fruits were delicious, and so were some of the few morning pastries they had out, which consisted mainly of croissant-like foods. "Well, if you're in the mood for something tart, maybe a strawberry... They're awful sweet if you put some sugar on them though. The melon is very good too, I like to have that in the morning sometimes." She said, remarking about the fruit, then pointing to a croissant, said: "The croissant's a very good too, you can dip them in your coffee... If you drink that, I prefer tea, and it tastes good dipping it in that too." She paused, "I heard the French dip it in hot chocolate... I don't know why, but that sounds gross..."

Ethan settled in a seat beside Fai, as he usually did in the Guild before he...left. He had no reason to change his manners and behaviors from his previous enrollment here. He moved his chair a bit closer to Fai so he wouldn't have to sit near the others at the table. He stared placidly at the food set out before him, none of them appealing to him. His appetite had already left him.

Ethan glanced over at the princess, noticing her slight struggling with the conversation. Did she feel uncomfortable talking to them? Must be. To her, they were probably commoners. It was then he realized that she wasn't aware that he and Fai knew of their royal profile. Should he reveal his knowledge of their prestige? Maybe later, he decided. He knew it would take some time for the twins to get used to living the normal daily life. Or at least pretend to be normal.

"I apologize," he spoke up as soon as Fai finished. "I believe I haven't introduced myself properly earlier. My name is Ethan." He did his best to force a friendly smile in the midst of his sour mood. It was convincing enough. Though he slightly doubted the prince and princess would want to make friends with a "runaway." He despised the term, especially because it made him sound like he was a criminal or such. Removing the thought from his mind, he focused again on the princess. "You have a very interesting eye color," he pointed out. "So, tell me. What grace do you possess?"

Allison smiled faintly towards Fai "I love tea, I'll try it" she said, and grabbed some bagels as she nudged her brother lightly "Try some brother, tea's good for you" she said, attempting to get him into a lighter mood. She sat up a bit more straight, as she lightly ate a bit, then the boy Ethan came to sit by Fai. Allison nodded at his introduction, and thought about the question "Ah..I believe it to just be vision, but there's more too it I think. I'm not fully sure, we havn't done much with Lightning back home. What is yours and Fai's might I ask" she said, looking at both of them. She wanted to tell them her brothers, she found it remarkable, but she wasn't going to turn the attention on him since he seemed annoyed enough. She would of said something more about her Grace, but she was still unsure of it.

Gabriel Valiamont:
I will protect you.

"Let go of me, you mongrel!" Gabriel beat his arms against Lightning's mighty hold. A second ago. He was trailing behind his sister and Auntie Libi until Lightning put him in a hold. He yelled, trying to wriggle from the man's grasp but the older one was no use. Lightning just laughed, as if Gabriel's squirms were meaningless. The students in the cafeteria raised their attention to the bickering two, wondering who the new student was. "Auntie Libi!" He screeched, trying to get Lightning to let go. Finally, Kaede released his grasp to reveal Gabriel's blushing, red and angry face. His silvery hair was all messed up. He stomped to sit far from the monstrosity and grambled as he pulled a chair next to his sister.

Completely still angry, he left his sister to conversate with Fai and the arriving Ethan. He looked away, trying to fixate his gaze on something else. It wasn't like Lightning cared though. He'd just laugh it off, as if life were all a joke. He watched his sister, rather mortified, when she described his powers. He couldn't believe his sister! She was too humble. However, he kept his own power a secret. He didn't like it and didn't feel the need to share it. "I don't want tea," he grumbled as he took a muffin.
