Saluki smiled and lowered his head to eat his grass. He ignored the bark. The only reason he had them was to carry the grass and to keep it up off the ground. Once that was done, he lifted his head and playfully chucked it outside.
"So what shall we do today?" he asked, excited to be starting a new day with a new friend. "Or did you have other plans?"

Alejandra finished her meal and watched as Saluki flung his piece of bark outside and she smiled, standing up and taking the now empty slab of bark in her mouth and carrying it over to her collection of treasures in the back, setting it on a little raised up rock and nudging it into the perfect spot before stepping back and smiling, grinning over her shoulder at Saluki.
"Now I can remember my breakfast with you on a piece of bark." she said cheerfully and walked past him, probably closer than necessary but she liked the brief bit of contact it provided, and out into the sunlight, taking Saluki's blanket gingerly in her mouth she held it while she fanned out her large wings, stretching from staying in one place all night.

Saluki chuckled at that. At least he made a good enough impression for her to want to remember him. He yawned and stretched again before walking up to carefully take his blanket back. He wasted no time in putting it back on his back.
"I hope it kept you warm enough." he smiled, then silently sighed at the warmth of it. He was thankful that spring was almost here. He wasn't used to such chilly weather. Buuut... letting her use it for a night was well worth it. Maybe he'd see if he can't get his human to make her a blanket. He couldn't imagine her sleeping her all the time without one after last night. Though admittedly, there was a small temperature difference between the inside of the cave and outside. Perhaps it retained some small bit of heat?
In either case, Saluki was starting to get a little bit anxious. He was wanting to do something. Run, play, explore... whatever. So long as she wanted to do it too.
"So what do you want to do?" he asked. Hopefully she had some ideas as to how to spend the day.

Alejandra smiled and nodded. It'd kept her plenty warm, with the added warmth of Saluki she'd been quiet unaccustomed to the warmth. What did she want to do? Well she needed a bath. Her belly and legs were covered in dusty dirt from the cave floor and she eyes the appendages with distaste. After that she would need to gather up a bunch of long grass and such to lay down on her sleeping area so she wouldn't wake up covered in dirt... "Just some boring things." she said with a blush and shrugged her shoulders, "I need to wash off all this dirt, and I need to gather stuff for a bed. You don't have to help if you don't want to, you've done so much already." Alejandra looked at the stallion and flashed him a smile to show she wouldn't mind if he didn't want to help.

He chuckled and shook his head. "I don't mind." He smiled warmly, appearing almost love-struck in doing so. "Besides..." he nickered nervously. "I... need a bath too."
'And I like spending time with you.' he admitted to his thoughts.
"There's a pond not too far from here." he started. "Then maybe afterward we can go visit my human? We can get you some blankets for your cave. That way you don't have to sleep on the hard ground."
"But that's up to you, of course." He definitely didn't want to force her into doing anything she didn't want to do. If she had anything against that part of his plan, then he'd gladly go off on his own to gather her bedding while she did... well.. whatever she wanted...?

Alejandra smiled at him, she knew of the pond he spoke of and went there often to wash of little bits of dirt that had stuck to her coat. She matched his smile with one of her own, blushing again at the potential implications of his gaze. She was glad he wanted to come with her. She liked spending time with this new friend of hers, even if said friend made her feel as if there were butterflies in her stomach whenever he smiled at her or did something cute or quirky, which was quiet often.
"I wouldn't mind visiting your human." she said, her ears pricking forwards in excitement. She'd never seen a human up close before, and never actually met one either and this was an interestingly new prospect for her. "Come on!" She said and grinned, bolting out of the little clearing in front of her cave and running happily along the forest paths, she wasn't concerned with leaving Saluki behind she was sure he would catch up. He was faster than her after all.

Saluki grinned at her enthusiasm. He knew that not a whole lot of Soquilis approved the idea of a human being so close to them, but his human... well... she was often the exception. She was quite odd for a human... Very odd indeed.
He blinked at the sound of hooves beginning to pound and quickly realized that he was getting left behind. "H-hey! Wait for me!" he called out then took off in a run after her. He caught up to her quickly enough and chuckled as he knickered and gently nudged her side.
"Tag! You're it!"
He then bolted further ahead, leaping over logs as they came to them. At this rate, they'd be at the pond in no time. He looked over his shoulder briefly and smirked at her. She was really fun to play with... and at this thought, he slowed down juuuuust a bit. He knew it wasn't all that much fun to lose at a game of tag... Plus... chasing her was most likely just as fun.

Alejandra grinned at the nudge on her flanks and watched as Saluki pulled ahead of her. Another game of tag. She watched as the painted stallion ran ahead of her and smiled even more, picking up her pace and chasing after him with more vigor as he smirked. She would catch him! She grinned at the thought and was surprised to find herself catching up with the male. Was he slowing down? She narrowed her eyes and looked at him as she gained ground. Instead of being agitated though, she thought it was kind of sweet that he would let her catch him, and she soon got close enough with a burst of speed to nudge his neck and then pull past him again.

Saluki blinked as he was tagged and passed in an almost blink. He slowed considerably in his shock but quickly regained his thoughts. He sprinted again, catching up easily and slowing enough to keep up with her at the same pace. He didn't want to tag her back just yet. He found some odd sort of thrill just running along side her.
Of course, at this rate, they'd make it to the pond in no time. And he had every intention in letting her win this race.

Alejandra smiled, head tilting to look over at Saluki as he kept up with her, not tagging her it seemed but running with her instead and she gave him another big smile, picking up her pace a bit and instead of slowing down and easing into the fast approaching water, she took a giant leap and spread her wings out to give her a little more momentum, before plunging into the water with a happy whinny.

The pond had snuck up on him and in his baffled gazing of watching her flit up to glide into a dive in the pond, he crashed. His entire body pummeled into the water and he let out a nicker of surprise. However, he managed to not make a complete fool of himself and steady himself into a halt before he would have been able to welcome the unpleasant experience of possibly drowning.
Once the rush of falling into a large mass of water had lifted, he chuckled then laughed, shaking his head a bit to rid his mane of the water (though it did little good in the moment) and looked to Alejandra with a wide grin.
"That was fun!" he chuckled and began to slowly wade his way towards her.

Alejandra looked over her shoulder as she moved slowly, being careful not to venture too far into the pond to where she would loose her footing and she nodded. "Much fun." she said with a sigh, dunking her head under the water briefly before emerging and shaking vigorously, moving around slowly but gradually making her way closer to the male.
