Death trap or not, He...should help. Probably. Maybe. It was most likely a good idea.
Unable to really get close to the edge of the boat however..was problematic at best. So, as he lacked a way to help, he just kind of..threw a life vest off the side of the ship.
It was about all he really could muster af far as 'getting close to the water' as he could get.

Even as the other students still on the boat tried throwing various things into the water, and one of them even jumped in as well . . . Aksaja was circling around for another try. He'd come so close to the other boil that last time.
This time, however, he didn't even come close - as one of the things thrown from the ship actually managed to somehow hit his wingtip. With a startled yelping sort of sound (though he'd never admit to it being such), the lightning dragon was thrown off-course.

Wiping her bangs clear of her face, she continued to struggle against the current. On the bright side of all this; the dress was giving her no problem as it probably would have if she had left it in its original state. This was indeed a good choice on her half! Maybe because of this, Ms. Winters would over look it? If not for that reason, for the fact that any dress she would give her, would end up in such a state.
Hearing a yelp of some sort, Mei practically spun around to catch who or what it had come from. Maybe one of the ghouls..? Whoever it was, it startled her. It almost seemed they were making no progress at all! Every time Mei seemed to have been closing in the distance between her and Vaith, she was quickly swept back by an oncoming wave. Was there no devices on the ship for something like this? A life raft or anything? This trip really was a nuisance, and it was only the first day at sea!

Tsetsiliya pulled her hand back when the ghoul tossed the rope overboard.. and watched it slip from her fingers. Glancing out into the sea, she was growing worried. There were so many out at sea trying to rescue him, and here she was, weighted down with a ball gown and no swimming skills. She was feeling positively useless. But wait.. one of the boils was flying around for another try. The poludnica knew the lightning dragon only in passing, but with a look down at her sash, then back at the boil, she knew she had to do something. She took a deep breath, ready to yell over the roar of the water to him, but the air stuck in her throat.
Oh Jack, what was his name again?
"H-hey!" She cupped her hand around her mouth and called out to Aksaja. She hadn't remembered her name, but maybe if she waved and yelled loudly enough.. "B-be trying this!!" With her free hand, she waved the sash in the air, still trying to keep a tight grip on it. It was likely not the most durable material but it was worth a try! If Aksaja could get close enough, then at least he could maybe pull Vaith towards the ship.

Xypher, who had been diligently working on getting the life boat down into the water, snapped his attention around as other students began to throw themselves, willy nilly, into the sea. The apparition let out an annoyed grunt before shaking his head and likely shooting daggers from behind the mask that covered his face.
He rowed the boat out to Mei first, pulling the doll into the boat. The silence that followed seem to be almost enough of a scolding on its own. He then floated up from his spot, pulling Aksaja into the boat as well.
Finally, the mute ghost got to Vaith, and dragged him up out of the water. Xypher observed the trio for a moment before rowing the boat back to the side of the yacht, making a motion to the other students that everyone was okay. Attaching it back to the side, the life boat was pulled back up and the students ushered off.
Professor Winter appeared, eying over the situation, verifying that all her students were still in one piece. Snapping her fingers, she alleviated the students of their ripped, torn, and soaked clothing, replacing them once more with clean and pressed outfits. No need of standing around soaking the floors.
"I'm glad to see everyone is alright. Hopefully we will not have another accident like that. If everyone would kindly adjourn to your rooms for the evening, you will find evening attire there waiting." Not a word was said otherwise as the professor left once more, leaving Xypher to gather the children up and show them to their quarters.

Cloak's Challenge! Once Vaith was safely back on the ship, as well as all the people that had jumped or fallen in trying to save him, Cloak emerged from below deck. For all that she had a nice meal to look forward to, she still seemed absolutely grumpy – maybe worse than before. She stopped short of the ragtag group of students that looked more like drowned rats at this point and crossed her arms over her chest as she peered between them. She looked more than grumpy now, she looked almost.. angry. What could the students have possibly done to have irked her so? “You know, you kids sure do make a lot of noise with all that splashing and yelling,” she began, dropping one arm and pointing a finger at them accusingly, “and now you’re just dripping water all over the place.” She sighed and brought her accusing hand up to rub at her temple, looking for all the world as if she were stressed out beyond reason already. “If you kids want to stay on my good side, you better start behaving soon. I’m not here for my health you know!” Then, with a little huff, she turned around and walked back the way she had come from – probably to check up on her dinner. ((Oh my! It seems our resident Trick or Treater is not having a very good time on board the Overboard. Maybe it’s just separation anxiety or maybe she just doesn’t like kids, but if she doesn’t cheer up soon it might be a disaster for everyone! Why don’t you guys try to do something to cheer her up?
The aim of this game is to create something that will make Cloak happy. How do you do this? Well, that’s up to you! You can write a poem, a story, create something from scraps on the boat, draw her picture – the options are only limited to what you can find to work with.
Your entries should be submitted with an rp post, but you can use text or actual visual references (like drawing) to represent the official entry. The entry that Cloak likes the most will win a prize and runners-up will get a little something too!
All entries must be submitted tomorrow (the 11th) by 8 PM EST/5 PM PST.))

GM POST
Winter, who'd clearly had a few drinks by this point in the evening, was leaning over the railing close to Cloak's side as she reprimanded the children for giving her problems to deal with. Leaning in against the ToTer, a soft sound began to utter from her lips.
Was she...
Singing?
She was!
And it wasn't that it was terrible. Not, her voice was actually quite lovely. If it weren't for the subject matter, it may not have been so bad.
"Does any one know where the love of Jack goes when the waves turn the minutes to hours? The searchers all say they'd have made WhiteGhost Bay if they'd put fifteen more miles behind 'er. They might have split up or they might have capsized; they may have broke deep and took water. And all that remains is the faces and the names of the wives and the sons and the daughters."
It was eerily sung a bit too close to one of their own getting tossed overboard... each student will lose 5HP for being demoralized by the demoness

While Cloak and Winter were tormenting the students, Xypher sighed and walked away, sitting over where the student's had been fishing and spent the next several hours making up for the lost food over the last little while.
Luckily for the lot of you, he's an amazing fisherman, and The Overboard is fully stocked on food again.

She was still making her way towards the boil, Vaith until she was suddenly pulled from the water by Ms. Winters henchman. Although she couldn't see his expression, she could definitely tell that he did not approve of her or the others actions just now. Adverting her gaze, she hugged her knees closer to her and watched one by one as the others Aksaja and Vaith were also pulled into the boat. Patting Vaith and Aksaja on the back, she gave them both a small grin. Both were okay, or so it appeared. Once back on the ship, Mei began to wring the water from her hair before looking over herself for any new found cracks. Nope! Everything was still good! At least it was until their Trick or Treater walked over to them in a huff. Obviously someone ate the wrong fish, or something like that. Even if she was a small source of her irritation, there was really no need to snap at them like that. They didn't exactly come along on this trip by their choice either. Not to mention, a student went overboard---were they just supposed to watch? Pursing her lips, she took a moment to pout but quickly recovered as she found herself weightless for a moment. Just like that, her wet tattered dress was replaced with another almost identical to the previous dress. Really.. Was it too much to ask to keep the original? She had already grown so fond of it! Oh well.. She would wear the dress.. For now.. She just hoped they would have a different wardrobe for when the reached their destination. There was no way in hell she was going to walk around in this thing! Obeying Winter's words, she followed after Xypher as he showed them each to their living quarters. So far.. This trip was a drag.. She missed Halloween Town and solid ground. Her mood decreased more as she heard Winter's eerie song. "Yep. I knew it. We're going to sink." (( Profile :3 ))

Minipet Profile
His teeth biting, the first thing he said upon coming board, when everyone was gathered up upon deck was a chattering note of gratitude.
"T-T-thanks. Although I still think whoever dropped the rope's an idiot."
Back in the water was that woven piece of.. whatever it was made out of. Now it was new fodder for some sea animal.. or some other uselessly drowning person!
Vaith looked like what he was. A drowned dragon. Now the impression of this boat and it's crew was permanent. Even if he hadn't reached it, HOW did you drop the rope in the water? HOW did the teacher simply not care he went overboard--- Perhaps Vaith should stop being fussy with the details. Details Smeetails. Even as his soaked outfit was once again replaced, his hair and body was still damp, leaving him freezing. He should have gone to go thank Mei and Aksaja for actually going into the water-- Hell, they shouldn't have been stuck wet and freezing for his sake.
But then the teachers came in. The mysterious cloaked one did. Vaith couldnt help that his hair was dripping! He sneezed, one hand covered his lower half of his face that did so. Did he have the sniffles? Wouldn't be surprised if he had. He just needed to go to his room and hope there was a blanket to spend some quality time with.
Later that night .. Well, even after being wrapped in a blanket for the last few hours and trying to think that the trip would drastically improve at some point.. Well, he didn't think so when Winter decided to give a show.
Winter's song came next-- the chill that ran down Vaith's back was not a cold chill. He looked back at the female teacher with a wary and wide-eyed glance.
He was in for it. He just knew he was.

After being helped up by her shipmate, Shine brushed herself off, frowning at the little picks in the dress that her claws kept making. She was really not designed for this kind of formal wear. Trying hard to concentrate, she took very wobbly steps towards the chaos. Someone had fallen overboard? Though she worried, she hung back, fearful of falling overboard herself. Staying away from the railing would be a good idea, she noted.
When Cloak re-emerged, she caught Shine's eye. Why was she sad? Surely nothing would happen to her...right? As she took clumsy steps towards the Trick or Treater, she wondered if it was because she lacked her counterpart. Shine decided that had to be it - if Rain were not on this boat with her, she'd probably be really upset too!
A little uneasy, the student pulled Cloak into a crooked hug. Though she meant well - hugs always made her feel much better! - the embrace seemed to turn into using Cloak as support.
[hopefully a drawing will go here when my tablet decides to work >>]
When she regained her balance, she gave her an awkward pat on the shoulder, and crept closer to the middle of the ship. Awaayyy from the side.

Aksaja sputtered a bit when he was pulled out of the water and into the boat fairly quickly. He'd thought for a minute there he might have to put Yaya's lessons to the test. But he hadn't gotten much farther than kicking back up to the surface before Xypher rescued all of them.
Would've been better if NO ONE fell in in the first Jack-damned place. And then Cloak took it upon herself to rant about the noise they were making and the fact that they were dripping water on the deck. Hmph. Aksaja hadn't seen her trying to do anything to help. Maybe if she had, things would have been different. Or something.
Later that evening, the lightning dragon had finally dried off and had dinner. He'd wandered out onto the deck, only to hear Ms Winter singing some weird song. "Well, that's depressing," he muttered in the direction of the other three on the deck now. Wings shifted restlessly as he gazed out over the dark water.(( Profile! ))

Now see, Israfel was fine to a point. Yeah, inside the ship. Where he felt trapped. Caged. Locked up in a metal casket on the sea that crash into and iceberg and they would all freeze in the water and no one would ever fine them and when they did the gulls would have picked them clean and the sea would grind there bones to sand and- Ms. Winter's song was not helping.
Not helping Israfel at all.
Singing on a boat- Adding to his fear of being a siren on the very thing you were supposed to aim to crash Singing about DEATH- oh jack they would probably crash. Some Lady also upset- Lady in the Water. Death? Maybe. It would be a twist.
Scooting himself into what he assumed to a safe little corner, Israfel got busy. Busy writing his last will and testament. It was informal. It wouldn't hold up but Israfel was freaking the jack out that he was going to die. So it seemed only right he write a will. Because that is what doomed people did. Write wills. Only about the important stuff. Like his candy stash. Or his clothes. Or silver seeds. Or that collection of random things he kept in a showbox. You know, important stuff.
Like minipets. Which he wrote should be divided to his friends and a few of his relatives. And also to anyone who could survive the journey and complete this field trip. It seemed only fair that those on the ship also be given something for being with him in his last hours of life. This included the mystery lady. If he died, she could have some of his minipets. And maybe that cute shirt he had in purple.
Either way he posted his will on the wall and returned to moping in a corner.
He would not like to die, but if he did, at least his stuff was taken care of.

Rain had been hiding thus far. Nothing made her more uncomfortable than being on a fancy schmancy ship. This was not her style. Why, she even had her own room which didn't help matters at all. She wanted to be with friends, particularly with Shine. How many times had she considered sneaking away to her friend's room? But that would be wrong. She shouldn't force her presence on her friend. For all she knew, Shine liked having her own room, one where she could cry unnoticed if she desired.
She was very uncomfortable on deck but it did help that there were other students about, most of whom she recognized. Maybe this wouldn't be such a bad trip after all? At least there wouldn't be any snow ninjas whisking her away to random places. She was about to greet Shine when Cloak appeared rather unhappily. She had been behaving! She contemplated going back downstairs to hide for the rest of the "voyage" but in the end decided against it.
What could she possibly do to cheer Cloak up? She couldn't even cheer up her friend. She was a horrible cheerer upper.

Sin was irritated, she had changed into her evening gown and then come back on deck hoping to finally have some relaxed fun with her ghoul friends. Instead she was depressed by Professor Winter's singing, infact the sad little ballad almost made her cry...almost. She couldn't let her makeup be ruined just because of a moment of sentimentality. She frowned and looked at Cloak in shock, what had her in such a tizzy? Sin sighed, she really ought to be kinder after all Cloak and Professor Winters were their chaperons.
Sin cringed at the idea but she headed down below to search for the Ships cooking area. Hopefully it was as well equipped as the rest of the ship, she had to scrounge about a bit. Ingredients weren't exactly plentiful, but fish and seaweed seemed rather abundant on the high seas. Sin went to work mixing, stirring, baking. Sin couldn't really cook, and even her baking could get questionable when she was stressed. Still she did manage to produce some Fish scale Cookies, a few Fishy Cupcakes, and a small Seaweed Fish Cake. Yum!
She balanced everything carefully her hips swaying a bit more as she kept her sea legs steady. This wasn't too hard...her high heel caught on something and she stumbled cringing as the cake landed on the deck with a splat. Well...at least she could offer Cloak the cookies and cupca-a bird swooped down drawn by the fish and gobbled the cupcake right out of Sin's grasp. Sin screeched and flapped her arms wildly whacking the bird and then gathering the cookies close and running to Cloak.
"I made you some cookies! Quick eat them!" She looked around warily, what else could go wrong?
