All the questions ever? That statement made her chuckle. "I'm sorry Lucas," since she couldn't say Lucy unless she pronounced it 'loose sea,' "but here's another one. What movie do you want to watch?" They were getting close to the rec room, after all. Hopefully that was an acceptable question.

"Effin' Rambo!" A small shake of his fist signaled his enthusiasm, dampened as it was by his immense weariness. What else could they watch? Rambo was the only movie in the world, after all.

She chuckled yet again, this time at his enthusiasm. "Alright, Rambo it is. But you need to eat something too, okay? What do you want to eat?" Soup, fruits, vegetables? Cookies? Anything?
They finally reached the rec room and Claire reached out to open it before replacing her hand on Lucas's arm, and pushed the door open the rest of the way with her foot. "Okay, here we go. You can lay down on the couch," she said again as she led him into the room and towards the aforementioned couch.

"Uhh... You know that one thing? It's round, and there's cheese. I like that." Master of Words. "Wait, no. You trying to trick me? I'm not hungry." A foul temptress, that Fionnuala. Offering delicious anything to non-hungry men. Were he even the tiniest bit more coherent, he would have known just how ridiculous every thought in his head was.
Laying on the couch was a good thing, though. It was like the bed but it was different. Not that different, but still - different. On making himself comfortable on the cushions - heh, concussion - his eyes instinctively and immediately closed.

"Round and with cheese?" She had absolutely no idea what he meant, because that vague description could fit at least two hundred specific food items. Oh well. It looked like he was about to fall asleep on the couch anyway, but she made good on her word and located the box with Rambo in it before turning on the tv and putting it in. It would probably be a good idea not to turn the volume up too much...

The sudden reorientation of the world from vertical to horizontal made his head swim, and he brought up an arm to cover his eyes. The sound of the movie was a dull hum in the back of his thoughts, and it was frustrating that he couldn't comprehend it properly. He drew a deep breath, releasing it slowly. "Sorry." He felt obligated to say it, even if he regretted nothing.

She moved to the couch with the tv remote in hand, watching Lucas put an arm over his face and apologize. "Sorry for what?" For the lame description? For being stubborn and not staying in bed? It didn't really matter, she supposed, so. "It's alright, Lucas. Should I turn the movie up, or turn the lights off?" And what kind of round-thing-with-cheese did he want? Ugh, that'd be difficult to find..

"Uhh, for..." He had had a reason when he said it, he was sure. There was something that warranted apologizing. "For... for the stuff. All the stuff. Y'know?" Hopefully she'd be able to fill in the blanks for herself, because Lucas had obviously lost his pencil.
"Um..." He shifted his arm from his eyes to his forehead, turning his gaze towards the television. "No, yeah, it's fine." Fionnuala was a mindreader, right? So he didn't have to waste energy on clarifications. Yeah.

"For all the stuff? Oh, okay," she said with a nod, as if she knew exactly what he meant. Clearly. She set down the remote on the arm of the couch and peered at him, still a bit anxious about his condition. Oh, right, food. "So what kind of round things with cheese? Not crackers? Is it.." Besides crackers, what was the next round thing with cheese.. Lasagna? That wasn't round.. "Pasta?" There, he liked vague descriptions, maybe that was vague enough for him.

"Hmm..." He attempted to wrap his thoughts around the thing to dredge up a better description, or perhaps even a name. This effort was derailed, however, by Claire's suggestion, at which he narrowed his eyes in suspicion. "What the hell is pasta?"

At his question it was so hard not to laugh. So. Hard. "Pasta? Like.. Spaghetti, or tortellini, or lasagna. Italian stuff," she attempted to explain. Arceus, poor Lucas, but some of this was just hilarious. Which made her feel worse, but. Still hilarious.

"Chrysanthemum, September, magenta," he countered. "I can make up words too, but I don't say them like I expect you to know what they mean." He was feeling rather offended.

Oh Arceus it was so hard not to laugh... "Aww, I'm sorry Lucas," she said, raising a hand to rub one corner of her mouth to hide her faltering expression. Made-up words? Poor guy, but this was still hilarious. "Anyway, what are the round things with cheese? I'll go see if I can find them for you."

"What round things with cheese?" It sounded familiar, like something he should recognize - possibly even from the last three minutes - but no dice. "I guess you can put cheese on a bagel, if you wanted to... Wait, you mean cream cheese? 'Cause that's normal."

Ohh, bagels. "Do you want a bagel with cream cheese?" Is that what he wanted? At this point she wasn't sure if he was suggesting it for himself or telling her it was possible to actually put cream cheese on a bagel. She didn't want to think about what wasn't normal to put on a bagel right now.
