Lucy---&---Scarface

The Arcanine lowered his head and charged, blasting right through one of the exterior walls.
"Where are you, cabron...?" Scarface muttered, lifting his head.
He began to sniff around, until he caught a scent he was looking for.
A Honchkrow.
He began to quickly (and rather violently) follow the scent until it brought him to another wall.
Inhaling, he let loose a Flamethrower, blasting a hole in the wall, which he stuck his head through.
Smiling, he glared right at Albertson.
"Hola, pendejo~"

Lucy sighed as she walked through the fortress.
"This place is way too damn big..."

Zori & Maisha

Zori froze, blinking rapidly in surprise. She could hear... faint whispers.... a voice... It was undoubtedly the Absol's voice, but... before, she couldn't recall the Absol having had the power of speech at all. Maybe there was something more to this... "Goddess" than she had thought before.
She tilted her head, the energy fading from between her jaws. She couldn't just leave. She didn't want the pendant for herself; that wasn't her place! She just wanted to do what was asked of her.
She could barely hear the voice in her head, but she had no doubts in what she did hear. In her shock, she barely reacted as both the Lucario and the Absol swept past her, leaving a Kricketot behind, the one who had crashed headlong into her face. He seemed unharmed, so she needn't bother to trouble him with unnecessary questions.
The Leafeon crouched next to the small Kricketot at her paws. "C'mon, little one. We've got to keep up with her." She urged the small Bug-type, lifting him lightly above the ground with her leafy tail, and slipping him off onto her shoulders.
"Get a good grip, alright?" She told him firmly, turning to face in the direction that the other pair had gone. "We've got to keep up."
Her tone clearly stated that she wished no harm on the Absol or the Kricketot, but the Bug would have no real chance to think of her words, as suddenly she was sprinting off after the Mother Goddess, her paws barely brushing the stone floors.
"Wait! We're coming with you!" She called up to the Absol, though she had a feeling that she couldn't hear her at all. Not if she was at all focused on whatever she was doing. After all, she'd gotten a head start.
Here she went again, on a wild chase to find a Goddess she knew nothing about, for a Guild who informed her of nothing, and a total stranger.

Maisha bobbed in response to Pluto, before merging straight back off through the crowd. The Mother Goddess. Act depending on situation. Friend or foe unknown. Pluto himself didn't know. She had to memorize the orders properly, so that Zori could act on instinct. Then again, she already would, no doubt.
Zori was a bundle of emotions, instinct, and intelligence. She would do what she thought was right, and, for her, that could change the entire outcome of the battle.
The Gastly found herself moving faster, zipping through the crowd, and merging straight through the nearest wall. The crumbling stone was easy to merge through, and on top of that, she already knew where she was headed.... sort of.
She heard more shouting from the upper level, and raced through, only pausing because she'd spotted Ivy again. "You coming, Child?" The Gastly demanded to know. She needed to know whether or not she was going to be followed in this. She'd take the longer route, if Ivy were to join her.

Oliver broke off the duel, stepping far out of reach. He looked around, saw mercenaries in various states of incapacitation, saw members of the Guild began to head for the now-unguarded fortress. He looked at the Gallade. "Give it up. You've lost. Could we end this without someone dying?"

The Gallade paused. He, too, looked around. He turned back to Oliver. Then, without warning, without any significant facial expression, he charged. Oliver stood perfectly still except for a slight glance to the side, from where Chuck hit the Gallade in another flying tackle, this one bringing his opponent down. Oliver quickly stepped on the flat of a blade, making sure the Gallade couldn't bring it up. Once the Gallade evidently knew it had been subdued, Oliver looked up and around the general area. "Hey Imiti, could we have some rope?" In response, a ball of rope was tossed in their direction with remarkable accuracy and the Gallade was tied up and taken prisoner in short order.

Celsus and the Garchomp continued to roll violently in the dirt, exchanging attacks. Celsus bit his foe hard on the leg; the Garchomp pinned him successfully to the ground. In response to this, rather than making any attempt to free himself, Celsus simply made eye contact with Imiti and then rolled to use the Garchomp as a shield. The stream of snow hit the Garchomp square in the back, and Celsus used this opportunity for another devastating blast of indigo fire. Recoiling, the Garchomp presented an ideal target for a tail strike to the head, which put it out of the fight. Celsus got up, glanced around, saw that members of the guild were making their way into the fortress. Dragging his defeated enemy by the dorsal fin, the Gyarados followed.

If Albertson looked toward the back of the group entering the castle, he would see two of his mercenaries out of commission. At the first available opportunity, these mercenaries would be dropped at his feet.

Ivy

The tiny Glaceon kept close to the Gastly throughout their walk back to Pluto. Her eyes blinked, perplexed as to why her Uncle was here when he had never involved himself in such violent affairs before.
She glanced back to Maisha, golden eyes wide.
"I'm going to stay here." She replied and trotted slowly to the elderly Leafeon's side.
"I'll make sure nothing happens~" She purred, ignorant of the Gengar and Lugia that seemed to be playing bodyguards at the moment.

Era & Ethfael & Erinn & Sereni

Ethfael, Sereni, and Erinn once again found themselves without their leader as they made their way inside the large hole in the side of the fortress. Somehow or another every single time a mission like this took place, Era would manage to detatch herself from the group for one reason or another. It's funny how things like that can end up happening. The three had more to worry about than that at the moment, the current obstacle they faced taking the form of the massive fortress they had just entered into. It was almost bigger on the inside than it had appeared to be on the outside, the hole opening up into a relatively large hall. It seemed like the entire Guild was heading down one hallway or another, so the three stopped to make a plan. "This is a lot of ground to cover," Sereni murmured, "Do you think we should split up?"

Ethfael nodded, the adrenaline of knowing that the amulent was nearby helping him keep moving forward. "Yes, that's the best course of action," he said, partly to himself, "Sereni, you and Erinn can take the left wing, I'll head toward the right." Noticing their looks of concern he smiled a bit, "Don't worry, I'll be fine."

The other two headed off on their way up a set of stairs and Ethfael went straight down the center, following a long hallway that split off at various points and was laid out like a maze. It was a wonder that anyone could find their way through the area really, the Honchkrow really must have been completely paranoid, as if their weren't enough clues pointing to that already.

As Ethfael rounded yet another corner, he heard a loud voice nearby and spotted a large, still smoldering hole in the wall through which a certain familiar Arcanine's head was peering. Before him stood a huge Luxray and the Honchkrow himself, Albertson. Fancy that, Ethfael thought, not having expected to encounter anything of the sort. He wasn't normally the one to play peacekeeper, but in this case when there was a panicking Honchkrow possessing a powerful amulet that the Guilds needed, he thought he could make an exception.

Wincing at the harsh tone of Scarface, Ethfael cleared his throat to make himself known to the Honchkrow and Luxray, trying his best to look as nonmenacing as possible. "Excuse me," he said calmly, trying to keep his tone steady and not frighten the poor man more than he already was, "Are you Sir Albertson?" Since clearly he was and he didn't want anything else to happen to offset the situation more, he went on, "Most of us here are members of the Guilds Sir Albertson, and we want to try and help you. We wouldn't have disturbed you if there wasn't a good reason. The head of the Guilds, Pluto Eclipse would like to talk to you. The Mother Goddess came here searching for something, and we're trying to work things out here." It wasn't entirely the truth, but it wasn't a lie either. Ethfael just prayed it would be enough to give the Honchkrow a second thought about things. The odds certainly weren't in his favor, but it was worth a shot.

((Posting just for him this round, Era's still with the others and Erinn and Sereni are just wandering around))

Pluto && Adme && Nova && Dew

Pluto watched as the Mercenaries were taken care of and his guild headed for the fortress. Seeing as how the Lugia hasn't said anything, he could assume that nobody had attempted to use the pendant. Of course, he couldn't know what was going on, and like hell if he was going to walk to the fortress out in the open.

"Thanatos, would you mind finding out what is happening and keep me updated?" He quietly asked of the Gengar. He couldn't exactly lead properly if he didn't know what was going on, so he'd like to be informed of the events. It seemed very unlikely any of the fighting was going to get near him at this point, especially with the big scary Lugia. Nova, Dew and Adme were all ready to teleport him away on a moment's notice anyways.

He glanced down to the Glaceon that had just joined him. Her voice was...Ivy? When did she get here? When did she evolve? Oh hell, he'll figure it out when they get home. As long as she stayed near and doesn't get herself killed.

"Alex!? Jake? Answer me!" The Luxray growled into his mouthpiece. They're down, we have lost the force sent to the unknown targets! Our outer perimeter has been breached! Hostiles everywhere!

Goddamnit. This Honchkrow may pay well, but the Luxray had known taking the job was a bad idea. Too many people after the guy. The police, the Guilds, many underworld organizations, and now several freaking legendaries. After this mess he's cutting the contract, grabbing whatever remains of his mercenary band, and running for it. This wasn't worth it.

"What does that mean?" The terrified Honchkrow squawked.

"It means shut the ^&$# up so I can think." The Luxray snapped, sending a small spark to the controls next to a reinforced steel door. It registered his signature and opened, and Albertson scrambled in, a mess of ruffled feathers. The Luxray skidded in behind him and was attempting to close the door when one of the walls got blown apart and an Arcanine stuck his head in.

Of course. Reinforce the door but never pay attention to the walls around it. Sheer freaking brilliance. The Honchkrow had about as much brains as a walnut. Anyways, Albertson was, predictably, terrified, and actually did something useful for once. Electricity cracked around the outer edges of his wing and the Thunder Wave shot forward into the Arcanine. Luxray knew TM-training his employer had been a good idea.

That gave the Luxray enough time to leap between his employer and the Arcanine defensively. His ears pricked at the explanation offered by a Dratini, and cursed Albertson's panic. If he hadn't ordered the attack on the Guild...

Albertson though, didn't hear any of it. In fact, he seemed to explode at the mention of Pluto's name.

"Aha! I knew it!" he spluttered. "Pluto set you up for this! Well tell him that it's mine, I got it all fair and square! Mine!" And with that he turned and around and ran towards the opposite wall. On a pedestal where several spotlights were focused on, behind a glass barrier, was something lying on a cushion of velvet.

The crazed Honchkrow knocked aside the case, which instantly triggered several loud alarms throughout the complex and he snatched the Pendant off of it triumphantly.

"You're after this huh!? Well I'll show you! You can't even begin the imagine the power!" He held up the pendant up and extended both wings as if expecting something to happen. The only thing that happened after several seconds of silence was a ghostly purple hand reached out from under the Honchkrow and snatching the Pendant right out of the dark type's grasp.

Thanatos floated up in front of the bird, holding the pendant, looking rather menacing and not amused.

"B-but...the power...why wouldn't it work...?"

"Ground types only. Tough luck."

It was at that point that Amaterasu skidded into the room from the open door. She saw some of the Guild members still there. She saw the pendant in the Gengar's hands and flattened her ears against her head in displeasure. They had beaten her here.

Issun was finding the Leafeon's fur quite a comfortable location.

((One more round to wrap stuff up. Ending the chapter and rewards next post.))

Saileithe ~ Alice

Sai laid down as the guild invaded the fortress. She did her part already and now she was tired.
Alice glanced at Era quickly, then the fortress. Sai was with plenty of others here, but she felt better staying where she was.

(( /half-assed due to tired and this being pretty much over.))

Oliver and Celsus, dragging their prisoners behind them, entered into the fortress behind everyone else, followed them into Albertson's inner sanctum, walked up to Albertson and the one he guessed to be the head of security, and deposited the Gallade and Garchomp at their feet.

"I believe these are yours. There are lots more outside if you care to look."

"This one is lucky I didn't eat him." Celsus's stomach rumbled with timing that could be speculated to have been rehearsed.

Once the violence had fully ceased, whenever that was, Chuck entered with another coil of rope. He looked around for figures of authority within the guild and recognized Thanatos. "Should we tie him up? I mean, I'm not expecting him to try anything, but just in case?" Maybe they could bring him back to the Guild and in front of a jury. That would be a decent change, the villain not escaping or getting killed on the spot.

Zori & Maisha

Zori slowed, trotting smoothly into the room, and skipping lightly over a few pieces of stray rubble. She came to a silent halt just behind Amaterasu, and slipping in beside the Goddess, pricking her ears slightly in curiousity.
"...You're the Mother Goddess, aren't you?" She asked the Absol quietly, her golden eyes shimmering with a mixture of confusion and surprise. She could have sworn the Absol was simply white-furred, but... she could see the strange, almost too pale to see, red markings. They still seemed a little more pink than red, being so pale to her eyes, but she could see them there, now. She didn't know how she could have missed them, but it was almost impossible to doubt who the Absol was, at this point. She would have to ask Moonfall or Lady Neon about her, if only to understand exactly who she was.
"Do you have another name...? If you don't mind, I'd rather call you by that, than your title." She glanced back at the Kricketot on her back, and shifted so that he could more easily rejoin his friend.
Where did he fit into all of this? Pluto hadn't noted anything about him, but he was obviously close to the Mother Goddess. He'd referred to her before as "Furball", so it was likely that they were quite close, if he was teasing her like that.

Ivy

Ivy glanced around with slight curiousity as the mayhem seemed to die down. She turned to cast her golden eyes to the Lugia.
"Oh? That's nice then."
Standing swiftly the tiny Glaceon padded over to stand directly in front of Desmond and tilted back her head to stare at him.
"I've only seen Lugia in my adventure books. You aren't quite as big as the pictures make you out to be, you know."

Era & Ethfael & Erinn & Sereni

Era looked towards the fortress with concern, her Team was in there, doing who knew what, and she knew that she should be in there with them, but it was too late for that now. A lone Pichu wouldn't be able to stand a chance fending for herself in something like that, especially if there were more mercenaries like the ones they'd encountered out here in there. It was better for her to wait, as much as she loathed to do it, but she knew when it was time to back down, and this time she decided to listen to that. Sai and Alice both looked to be waiting, so she decided to stay with them, seeing no harm in avoiding a large fight just once. Instead she watched the hole in the castle closely, looking for any sign of her Teammates emerging from within.

Ethfael meanwhile, found himself in the thick of the action. His speech had seemed to have merely sped up events that were inevitable. The Honchkrow grew even more tense at the name of Pluto, much to Ethfael's chagrin, but there was no retracting the words from his mouth, no choice but to keep going forward. When the Honchkrow grabbed the pendant and held it up Ethfael flinched, expecting something to occur, but unexpectedly nothing happened expect for the loud clamor of alarms from all over the fortress that clanged furiously after the case was knocked aside.

Ethfael would have acted then, but a Gengar by the name of Thanatos appeared and promptly took the pendant, eliciting an inaudible sigh of relief from him. That was one less thing to be concerned about. Even if there were alarms everywhere and a strange looking Absol had just come into the room, at least they wouldn't have to fight the Honchkrow himself. There was only so much that one Dratini could do against a group of fully evolved Pokemon. When the members of Team Cupric came in, Ethfael merely slipped out of the way to avoid Celsus's large body, cringing as once again the other Guild members seemed to be making scarcely veiled threats. The Honchkrow and Luxray were far from helpless at this point, it wouldn't be good to aggrevate them and cause more problems. He looked at the unconscious mercenaries dropped before the Luxray with a sigh, and then when Chuck suggested tying them up he had to interject. "Is that really necessary?" he said stepping between Team Cupric and the other two. True that wouldn't do anything if they forcefully did anything, but he felt it important to show that he was trying to stop things from coming to blows, especially with Celsus. The Gyrados could be very quick tempered and dangerous at times. "The pendant is out of harm's way and we prevented something like what happened with the Pidgeot from happening again. It's the Guild's job to maintain peace, not break it. There's enough hostility as it is without us making unnecessary enemies." Looking back at the Honchkrow and Luxray he added, "I'm sorry about all this." He truly was too, in his mind this was taking things too far.

Erinn and Sereni had been searching about the castle to try and find anything of importance, and had come up with nothing. When the alarms went off however, they both headed towards the source of the sound, encountering the large and still increasing group of Guild members there. They arrived just at the end of Ethfael's speech, surpised to find him defending the people who they'd come to get the pendant from, but they weren't about to question it, having faith in their co-leader's decisions.

Amaterasu && Issun && Albertson && Suicune && Thanatos && Pluto

Amaterasu turned to the Leafeon that addressed her, looking very much like she was about to reply before turning back to look at the rest of the guild. Her ears were still flattened, and with a resigned sigh she simply turned around and began to walk away.

Keep the Pendant safe. But never lose track of what The Original One had assigned to you. Protect Her; She will be the key to our survival.

"Huh?" Issun turned. "Hey Furball, who's this you're talking about? Oh- hey, wait for me!" The Kricketot very quickly hopped off of Zori and made his way towards his usual ride. He stopped and turned back to the Leafeon just long enough to yell "Her Name's Amaterasu! She doesn't mind being called Ammy though-" At this Amaterasu gave a bit of an annoyed growl "-and thanks for the ride!"

The Luxray was furious at the sight of Team Culpric and their little display. While they were distracted with dumping Alex and Jake -two of the Luxray's best buddies by the way- at Albertson's feet, a raging ball of sparking fur tackled itself into the Gyarados, a Thunderbolt arcing towards both water-types.

A blue blur charged into the room and Suicune eventually had the snarling Luxray pinned on the ground.

"How dare you!" He howled. He was able to accept the defeat; everyone lost, eventually. But he was not going to tolerate such disrespect towards these men he has spent so long with, trusting his life to them so fully.

"Do what you will, just don't screw this up." Thanatos told Chuck sourly, the Pendant still clutched in his hands and he sunk into the floor.

A little while Later he reappeared, leading Pluto into the room. The Leafon and the Honchkrow locked eyes the moment he stepped in.

"I knew I should have dealt with you more decisively in the past, but you were never worth my time. However, you have crossed the final line. Ferdinand Albertson, with the authority as acting Guildmaster of the Kingdom of the Sun, you are now under arrest for the illegal obtainment of dangerous artifacts, the refusal to pay taxes that are due for the Kingdom, associations with illegal underworld organizations, and the unprovoked attack on members of both the Guild of the Sun and others. Consider your estate and all belongings confiscated and under investigation by the Police Force."

After a rather complicated clean-up that I have no time to write up because my internet is cut very soon, Pluto's staff teleports everyone home!

Puer & William

William and Puer teleported back to the safety and contentment of the guild. And then they took their rewards, because there really wasn't much else to do or say. Though on a more positive note, they were quite pleased that they had actually managed to capture someone instead of murdering their way through a small civilization for once.

Desmond

Desmond lapsed from his silence briefly before returning to it. "Legends tend to be exaggerated. You would do well to remember that." And with that, his silence resumed until the guild had begun to leave. Even if someone tried to, he couldn't be teleported against his will. So, he just sat there in silence. It was a good time after the "criminals" had been "apprehended" and the Mother Goddess had fled that he finally took action.

The trivial action of disappearing and reappearing elsewhere. Specifically, in the path of the Mother Goddess. "A good friend of mine wishes to speak with you Amaterasu, Mother to us All." He knew, of course, who she was quite precisely. Many semi-legendaries had at least an inkling of who she was. They were old creatures, after all. Beings so old that they had forgotten their own birth.
