"True enough." Alexander nodded with a grin. He mentally calculated an estimate of Frost's age before shrugging mentally. So what if the other Rocket was around 35? He was still good looking, somewhat friendly and Xander still didn't care about age differences. "Thats great. It mst mean your both quite close and know each other very well." he said and smiled brightly. "I was given Conrad four yeas ago."

The tiniest ghost of a smile tugged at Frost's lips as Xander spoke, and he nodded agreement. "Yes," he elaborated, "we know one another very well indeed. We are a good team. Four years is still a fair time to know one another... How long do you intend to keep him as an eevee?" Now that he knew Xander was a member of Team Rocket, he presumed that he was planning to evolve Conrad eventually in order to make him stronger... Unless he was intended as a ghost-type killer? Given Bite he supposed that would be effective enough, but it seemed very specialized.

At Frost's question Alexander stared at Conrad in thought. "I have been asking myself that question for four years now." he chuckled but then a small frown appeared on his face. "And I'm still not sure." he then got a small smile. "I might keep him as an Eevee. His unique coloration might not work well in another stage and he seems happy as he is and I would hate to change him into something he later didn't like." He knew most people would find it silly that he would base his decision on what his pokemon wanted but he didn't care. Conrad was too important to him to upset the hyper Eevee.

It wasn't a very practical reason for keeping Conrad as he was, but he could understand feeling that way all the same. If a pokemon was special to you, as Skiron was to him, sometimes feelings pushed logic aside. It was only human to want a creature you counted as a friend to be happy, to be concerned that you actions could harm them. Harming them harmed you, emotionally at any rate, and emotions were difficult things to just put aside and ignore. He knew that he was several standard deviations above the norm in discounting emotions from his decision making process, but even he would have hesitated with the frost stone had he thought Skiron would be unhappy as a Galceon.
"Mmh," Frost said eventually, nodding his head very slightly, "I believe can understand your reasoning. In any case, while he is of course less powerful than any of the evolved forms, he has a useful immunity. Were you to build a powerful team around him he could play a role as a specialist; allow him to learn Bite and he will be an asset against ghost types."

At least Frost wasn't one of those people who would call him crazy for taking the pokemon's feelings into account for evolution. There were a few of those in Team Rocket that Alexander had met. He turned his gray eyes back at the other man and he smirked. "Yes his is useful in that aspect. Seeing as I specialize in Normal and Dark types as well as Ghost, Conrad as an Eevee will be very handy." Of course he was talking about if he caught any Ghost types in the wild but yes he knew the advantage when Conrad was in battle as well. Xander looked at his watch and was surprised to know they had been here for quite a bit now. "Looks like we should get going soon." he said reluctantly.

"Mmh?" Frost reached into one of the pockets of his jacket and pulled out a large silver pocket watch, embossed with an intricate pattern reminiscent of a circuit board. Flicking open the front Frost looked down at it and nodded agreement. "Indeed," he closed the timepiece again and put it away, "I have a few things to sort out when I return." Namely cleaning up his dorm room. The previous night his roommate had left rather abruptly, and taken all of his belongings with him. Frost was not the best at gathering gossip, but he gathered the lout had been demoted; something about photoshop, a pink feather boa, leather hot pants, and a very unimpressed Executive. Given he was getting a fresh start with a fresh roommate, the ice specialist wanted the place to be impeccably clean, all sign of the previous, slobbish occupant of that side of the room erased. He should probably get rid of that strip of tape that had indicated the half way point in the room; he didn't want the new person to instantly think he was insane.
"Well then, let's be off." Getting to his feet Frost whistled sharply to Skiron, causing the ice-type to break off his play and scramble out of the water. Pausing only to shake himself off (a polite distance from the two humans), Skiron trotted over to his trainer and gave a happy chirrup; he had enjoyed his day, but he was starting to feel hungry now and as such was quite ready to head home.
Nodding slightly to his pokemon companion, and then to Xander, Frost set off back the way they had come. "The car isn't too far from here," he informed his fellow Rocket, "only a few minutes walk."

Interesting pocket watch Frost had. Xander eyed the detail it had appreciatively. He was not mechanically inclined but it did look neat. "Mm, I have a few things myself to take care of as well. Perhaps we could meet up again either tonight or tomorrow." he offered as he stood up with the older man. He gave Frost a smile then turned to his Eevee and snapped his fingers. Conrad came bounding over as soon as the signal registered in his play and he happily jumped up onto a rock by Xander and stood there respectively.
"I'm spoiling you rotten." he chuckled, took a towel out of the pack he had brought just for such an occasion then wrapped the Eevee in it. He picked Conrad up like a baby then followed after Frost and Skiron, rubbing the towel over Conrad's fur to dry him off as he walked.

...Tonight? Was Xander trying to imply something about 'meeting up'? Mmfh, well if it had been a euphemism then he was out of luck. He was probably reading too much into it though; not everything the young man had said had been an attempt at flirting... at least he hoped it hadn't. "Well I have quite a lot to do tonight," Frost said eventually, "but I might see you in the dininghall for dinner. If not, I would be glad to meet you for breakfast or lunch tomorrow." Be sociable. Get to know people. Even attractive young men who disconcerted you by displaying overt interest that you had no idea of how to handle.
Glancing back at Xander and Conrad, Frost raised an eyebrow very slightly. "Well, so long as you can spoil him without him becoming spoiled I see no problem. I spoil Skiron from time to time, mostly with more brushing than is strictly necessary, and with sorbet. Not an ideal diet, but in small quantities it does no harm... Ah, here we are."
Parked on the treeline was an anonymous black saloon. The model was several years old but the paintwork was well polished, and Frost happened to know personally the engine still ran just like new. It took care and precision to keep Team Rocket in efficient reliable cars; they saw a lot of use, often over tough terrain, and he was rather proud to be part of the team that kept things ticking over.
Unlocking the car with the press of a button Frost opened the back of the car for Skiron to hop in before climbing into the driver's seat and fastening his seatbelt. Yes. Return to HQ. Hoover, dust, disinfect, and polish the room where applicable, and then find himself some dinner. Sounded like a satisfying evening to him; he'd been dying to give the entire room a proper clean since the day he'd moved into it and found it occupied by a filthy layabout.

He had honestly never even thought anything other then just meeting in the cafeteria or a rec room to hang out and get to know Frost more, so it didn't cross his mind what the older man might had thought he meant. "Sounds like a plan." Xander said at Frost's suggestions with a smile. Something about the platinum blond made the teen want to get to know him better so any chance to do so would be met with smiles.
Xander chuckled and hummed in agreement. "Very true. Wouldn't want to have too spoiled of pokemon as they would be likely to get fat, lazy and unhealthy." He had seen many of such pokemon on his travels before and after joining Team Rocket and he was not willing to do that to any of his pokemon. "Small quantities of spoiling are indeed the best." he agreed.
He looked over the vehicle and figured it was in better condition then something he would have, not being into cars enough to spend hours at a time on them. He set Conrad in the back of the car with Skiron, making sure the towel was laying on the seat just in case he hadn't drying the Eevee off enough. Once he put his back pack on the floor in the back he slipped into the passenger seat and buckled up. He briefly wondered what his newly assigned roommate would be like when he thought back to what he had to do when he got back. Oh well, he would find out soon enough.

"Quite so," Frost nodded slightly, starting up the engine and putting the car in gear. "Moderation is the key to success in many areas," he went on as he turned the car around and set off for home, "too much of anything will harm you in the end." Humm. He didn't have very much else to say right now. He supposed that didn't matter too much though, Xander would say more if there was more to be said, and if not they could make the journey to base in silence. Silence was, he felt, highly underrated. Why say something merely for the sake of speech? It seemed like a waste of effort to him, added to which forced conversation was strained (more strained than usual in his case), and often inane. Humans were such strange animals.

Xander hummed in agreement as he relaxed back into the seat and just watched the scenery go by. Granted once they were out in the desert proper there was only sand to look at but it was familiar to him. His eyes closed though as he thought back to any and all things that had happened in the past two years he had joined Team Rocket. As a few of his adventures came to mind he gained a small smile on his face. At least with Frost he seemed to be one he would have to carry on a conversation over any and everything in under ten minutes.

It was a pleasant drive back to HQ and the silence, in his opinion, was comfortable. Perhaps Xander felt differently, he really had no way of knowing unless the young man actually said something to him or display extremely overt displeasure. They pulled into the garage without incident, however, and Frost was left feeling that this had been a fairly successful encounter over all.
Climbing out of the car and letting Skiron out of the back seat the pale-eyed man turned to his fellow grunt, offering him a polite nod. “I presume I will see you before long, but for now I must return to my room and see about some important business. I hope you have a pleasant evening.”

Xander climbed out of the car after they had stopped had scooped the now dry Conrad out of the back set. "I'll see you later then Frost." he said to the other man with a smile. "I hope you have a good rest of the day as well." Conrad chirruped his good bye to Skrion and waved his tail as well. With their goodbyes said Xander waved one last time then turned to leave. He still had to get his things together in order to move in with his new roommate after all.

The first thing Frost did when he got back to his room was change out of his suit and into his uniform trousers and shirt. Leaving the jacket off, he pulled on his overalls, and his uniform gloves. After opening the window as far as it would go and locating a rubbish bag, he got to work. A couple of discarded socks were pulled out from underneath the now vacant bed, and draws and the closet were searched for more rubbish. After removing the strip of tape that had marked the half way line of the room Frost vacuumed the whole room, and then the mattress of his ex-roommate's bed. Setting the mattress out of the way against one wall he then fetched a box of cleaning supplies (various) out of his closet he set about bleaching, scrubbing, and polishing the bed frame, chest of draws, and desk. Then, since he was at it, he gave his side of the room and the window a good clean too.
Finally satisfied with his work, the blond returned the bare mattress to the now very clean bedframe (the other way up to hos it had been), and took of his gloves and overalls. After putting them away neatly he fetched a set of standard issue bedding and started to make the bunk up ready for his new roommate. First impressions were important. They might have their own bedding that they would want to put on, but he felt that this was a positive gesture to make all the same.

Not long after Frost was finished there was a few knocks on the door to the room. The knocks were too forceful but neither were they weak, as if the person on the other side of the door was trying to make a good impression already.
