And how do I make sure that it actually saves my chumhandle and quirks and stuff [i.e. will load the same thing every time I open it up?]

Okay, there's a readme that downloaded with Pesterchum on quirks that explains how to have it autoquirk. I recommend taking a look.

Listen up!
There's a new client that is pretty excellent.
It functions just like the last one, and doesn't seem to bug out at all.
Unfortunately, it doesn't like Macs. (Sorry Orphie. D: )

New Features:
-Can recognize several users and will remember each of them.
-Memos are now an impressively easy thing to do.
-You can list yourself as Idle.
-There are smiles you can use, like :bathearst:
-There is an option to import all of the settings and userlist from the last one. Select "Import" and look in your old Pesterchum folder for a .cfg file.
-A wider range of "special" symbols (like greek letters, numpad stuff, etc) are now visible.

If you're having trouble getting it to run properly, open up its folder, look for the only java file (this one is .js), open it up in notepad, and insert this into the end of its line:
"port": "1413"
Make sure there's a comma and a space before it, and that it isn't outside the brackets. Then run the program and it should work like a charm.
