Her reasoning’s for showing up were one of two, finding an auction of this sort exhilarating--especially when it could potentially score the were a big hot one! Initially she even intended on participating as a ghoul to be auctioned! However, and as for the second reason, once the sign-up sheet was carefully clutched in between both of her index fingers and thumbs; the ghoul found it necessary and urgent to buyout the one name that struck bells within her head.
The monster was, very apparently, lost as far as what the sign-up was for. Her thoughts were clear in her head but elsewhere? They were skewed by her need to stake a claim on someone...in fact, they were so blurred by greed that without much thought her hand reached for a pen and in one full swoop her name was at the bottom of the list. So much for participating as a buyer...
But as she looked things over, a petty desire urged the ghoul to scratch her name out and relocate it right beside Whisper's, and just underneath a ghoul named Sin...who...was just damn sexy. She supposed it would work to her advantage if, Jack forbid, anyone questioned her motives.
Resting one hand on the other arm, Natalia offered a smile to those she knew indefinitely, and to those she did not the ghoul merely assessed and gave forth the appropriate gesture. Citrus, curious eyes flicked over immediately in the hellhound's direction, and continued to do so from time to time long enough to catch Whisper in mid-conversation with Riley...That was it, yes, Riley. Hrm...
What she felt wasn't exactly jealousy, even though Natalia would have much preferred Whisper's company to be with herself and not the purple demon. Riley had a sexy a** body, and was the epitome of mystery in the werelemurs opinion; which, too, was alluring in its own right. No, her feelings weren't so much jealous as they were interested, and slightly aroused. Wonder if they'll touch each other...
...the hand shake was not really what she meant by that...but whatever, it worked.

"Yes, ha ha, hilarious. Hi, err, Morrigan," he said, as if suddenly becoming aware of the other members of the crowd.
"And Riley," he said, considerably more strained.
"While I appreciate the compliment, It is a very temporary change." The last part almost came out as an order.

Christof's eyes were watering as he tried desperately to hold back his snickering but failed. It seemed years of serious business had left a rather large amount of unused hysterics at his disposal, and try as he might, they all wanted to be used up. His shoulder was burning at the command, though, and he gave Morrigan's arm a squeeze, raising a finger to indicate his needing a moment to be excused.
His head was tucked against his chest, shoulders heaving and trembling with every barely suppressed chuckle, only exasperated by Riley's comment. He tugged on a ribbon.
There he helped.

Temporary? Her eyes turned down in mock sadness. But you look so pretty. Almost.. royal, in a way. What's the phrase I am looking for..
Her finger tapped against her chin for a moment, before lifting up in the air. One could almost see the lightbulb above her head.
Ah. Yes. Pretty, Pretty Princess.

Alwine wasn't sure why she was setting herself up for disaster. She was certain that no one would bid on her, but then again... it was for a good cause, and it wasn't like she had an ugly face. Perhaps having no face would be better than having an ugly one? Plus, Belladonna had signed up. It couldn't be that bad if Belladonna had signed up-- and was that Barth there? "Ah..." Alwine put her pen to the paper before turning her shoulders to the others that were in the area. "This is where we sign up, right?" Her voice was quiet, and very unsure. It was a shock that there wasn't an apology to go with her signing. "I'm so sorry if I'm too late!" Ah, there it was. After she signed the sheet, she took a look at it. She didn't recognize many of the names, but the handwriting was pretty. To be honest, the haunt was rather jealous of the reaper witch's gorgeous handwriting. Well, at least this would be a way to meet new people?

Barth looked, if anything, more miserable. The single ribbon left behind a still-braided chunk of hair.
"Hi Alwine. Yes. I'll have to err, thank the stylist."
He shouldn't have been surprised, not really. He slept in a variety of places, and it was only a matter of time before someone decided to take advantage of it. The only real surprise was that it had taken this long.
"Maybe I'll recommend them to you," he to Riley said, flatly.
Then started again, "Look, err, Christof, I'm sorry about- anyway, I need...all of my clothes are wet."

Whisper had been quietly standing in the area, simply watching. It was what she did, hell, being all stalkery was like a profession to her. She had gained the skill of observance through many years of practice. She enjoyed watching others interact, even if many found it strange and often revolting. She gave nods occasionally, and would move around the group from time to time. Whisper was quite drawn to the purple tentacled demon, and to the patchwork boy. While all the others were also interesting in their own way, she just couldn't help but watch them closely.

Christof, though, had doubled over, hugging his sides as he tried valiantly to hold back the gushing hilarity. The laughs became outright snorts, his legs threatening to give out from under him as he reached to grab onto Barth's soggy jacket for support. Perhaps a week ago he would have been more outraged at his Master's indignity. But this was now, and perhaps things had changed.
This was why you never sent a Kelpie to do an Igor's job.

"Hello, Barth..." Alwine's voice trailed off as she eyed the lone ribbon in his hair. "I... you look lovely today, I suppose...? Is this a new role in a play?"
She twisted her neck around to peer at the others that had gathered. She tried to look friendly, and gave Whisper a small wave.
Then she realized something was off. She looked at the poster, and her neck paled. In one column was Chuppi, Belladonna, Sin, Natalia, Whisper, Mei-Xiu, Tsetsiliya, and in the other was Jericho, Gabrian, Tybalt, Calder, Aksaja, Israfel, and.... Alwine.
She had put her name in the boy's column.
With a shriek, the headless haunt flailed at the poster, the bandages turning a rather intense shade of pink.

Scarentine? Really? Alcie hadn't had to worry about things like this until now and it wasn't until she realized that she didn't have a date that she was going to be alone that day. She had always been indifferent when it came to boils but coming to Amityville and even though she had only been enrolled for a relatively short time, Alcie had already grown up a great deal (mentally and physically) and there were couples all around her. And of course she couldn't help but take notice.
Approaching Chuppi, Alcie had never been formally introduced to the VP but she had met the chupacabra before. "Hello. I'm interested in signing up for the Scarentine auction?" As she said those words, Alcie almost regretted it instantly. What were the implications of participating in an event like this? Maybe she should have gone over this with Sin before she had done anything. Though, she managed to glance at the sheet and she recognized many of the names on it. Phew. Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea afterall.

Riley had managed to remain flat and emotionless this entire time, but Barth finally cracked her. She let out a helpless chuckle, and turned to look down at Christof. Who.. looked.. like he was going to explode. Was that her fault? Regardless, the sight of him enjoying himself just made her laugh a little bit more. She decided to let the two squabbling lovers alone for the time being, and with one last tug on one of Barth's braid, she headed out once more.
Yet, it seemed leaving wasn't in the cards once more, as she caught sight of Whisper watching them. She paused, and changed her route to stop beside the ghoul.
Hello. She greeted Whisper curiously. Have we met before?

Barth endured the last tug and chuckle unhappily. Christof looked near incapacitated.
"No," was all he managed. "It is definitely not for a play."
Although he'd managed to get soaked in the play, too. Now he just felt...damp. And mocked. And cold. And he needed help.

Was the ghoul...in her head?! Crazy! Whisper had never met someone with that ability. Though it was bound to happen eventually she supposed, as it was a fairly big school. Still, it did take her by surprise. "Umm, I don't think so, not that I can recall anyway..." Whisper paused for a moment and thought. The other ghoul did seem slightly familiar. "Wait, weren't you in professor Savage's class? I'm sorry if I was staring too much, I tend to not really know when to stop looking."
"I'm sorry, my name is Whisper. It's nice to meet you."

Riley nodded, before moving slightly to lean against the wall. Though she was beside Whisper, her eyes were on Barth and Christof's antics as she replied. I was. If there is a class, it's a safe bet to assume I am in it. And don't worry too much about being caught staring. It simply means we were worth staring at.
Riley dropped her hand down to Whisper with an elegant gesture, unfurling her fingers towards the ghoul as she returned her gaze to her. It's a pleasure to meet you, Whisper. My name is Riley.

"I'm glad I wasn't imagining it!" Whisper was always worried she'd hallucinate that someone was were they actually weren't, and have them later think she was crazy. She really wasn't, but it was a minor paranoia. "Ooo, I really like your name. It rolls off the tongue so nicely."
Riley was very intriguing. She gave off this aura that Whisper just couldn't put her finger on, but she was very drawn to her. Not in a romantic way like Natalia, but like she could follow her into a battle and be confident of a victory. Perhaps there was no aura at all and it was all in Whisper's imagination, but she believed in it. It seemed like many knew her and gravitated towards her, so Whisper would be no different.
She looked down to the hand. To grab it and give her a hand shake or not? That was really the question. She didn't want to step out of lien and invade the ghouls personal space, but at the same time she didn't want to be rude if that was the intent. Perhaps a middle ground? Whisper extended her open hand midway between them in such a manner that should a handshake be wanted, it could happen. However, if it was not, then it would just seem like a simple gesture.
