Our band is doing movie songs. Superman, Spiderman, Pirates of the Carribean, and Jaws. (And some other one, which I don't remember.) I'm so excited for this year.

It's the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, so the field show is Americana songs and stuff. Luckily it wasn't all yankee doodle songs, it's stuff by Arron Copland. The last piece is either "Rodeo" or a melody of all the military branches.
It's not that I don't like the show, it's just that I thought my senior year would be a different show. I kinda wanted to do a video game show.

The band I'm in will be doing music from the Jethro Tull album "Aqualung". Previously, I'd been only familiar with their song "Locomotive Breath" off that album, but since then I've bought the album and I've been missing out on quite a lot XD I'd highly recommend a listen!

We're doing Solaris from Inspire. It's a decent show. It sounds pretty Tribal, so I'm thinking we're going with a "Worshiping the Sun" type thing. I made Guard Captain. Yeeeeee.

our marching show theme is "What Goes Up, Must Come Down."
it wasn't what our show was originally supposed to be, but we got a new band director last minute :/
my first thought was Winnie-the-Pooh. but that's not it.
however, it is supposed to have a great use of dynamics, so i'm pretty excited.

I'm pretty excited for this year's marching band show . Our theme is " The Secrets of Stonehenge " . When listening to it , it sounds a lot like our last show , which was " The Pyramids of Egypt " . I absolutely luuuuurrrrvved that show . And I think I like this show because it's so similar to the last one .

I am very excited for this year's show. I received first movement yesterday, and it's insane.
As far as I know, it's going to have four movements, our fourth being seven minutes long. We don't have a title yet, but the opener is called "Awakening" and based on this song. Our band director composes all the movements.
Gah~ I can't wait for the season to start!

Well, I'm not longer in High School marching band but they hired me as a Marching Tech. Their show is called ABOVE and it based around the planets since we can't directly allude to religion. I can't remember all the songs our directors wrote the music from but I know that one movement is Incubus' Stellar biggrin
My college marching band is going music from the 80's haha

Our theme is entitled "Things that Never Were"
It's a dream theme including songs like Things that Never Were and Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka.
I don't really know how I feel about it yet.

My MB's theme this year is Top Gun. (Even though everyone in our class wanted a Halo theme or Video game theme....but our director's like that.)
