The vampire shook his head. "I'm afraid that your pact has become rather pointless. You see, normally when a vampire ruler dies it is by the hands of another vampire in order for them to become Lord. They challenge the current king and after killing him, gain their power and authority." He walked over once more to the bedside and carefully lifted up the pendant to show Ryn. "This is how they attain that power. It is a magical pendant that holds the power of the previous rulers. When the previous wearer dies, it responds to the very next touch. Seeing as your friend is...or was mortal, I am guessing she did not kill Lord Katsuto. This seems to be a mistake. What exactly happened out there?"

Crux didn't need anymore of an explanation. Nodding solemnly, he continued. "Your friend is going through the transformation from human to vampire. It's the only way for her to be Rosencriox Kingdom's new ruler."

The servant looked between the two Ryns crossing instinctively to protect his new ruler. "There are two of you?" The concentration of light energy from the new comer concerned him, especially in regards to the dark power coming off the opposite one. As realization dawned, the vampire snarled at both of them. "So, a member of the Light and a guard dog to Nyx. Neither of your kind is welcome in this Kingdom!"

Stepping forward, Crux gave a slight bow of respect. "My apologies, Luferius, but I had no choice." Closing his eyes, the servant quickly relayed the information he knew as well as the events that had occurred in the courtyard through telepathic means. "The Lord is dead."

"Yes, sir." Crux gave one more bow and quietly excused himself.

Screaming as they were fused together almost instantly, a light enveloped the body, and as quickly as it vanished, only one form remained. What was revealed to be was the true Ryn that had been, before he had split into two different beings. Stumbling backwards, he hit the wall, before sliding down against it. The Blood Crystals that had been in his chest hit the ground, and seperated. Ryn's was now glowing, as Ari's faded with each moment.



"Damnit..I haven't felt so weak! I can barely move my arms!" he said through gritted teeth. "I feel like a damn human again..What the hell is this? I have done nothing to you! I'm only protecting Ari! I need to know how to save her!" he said, as he attempted to stand, but fell to one knee, weakly.

As Ari's body grew pale with the onset of eternal death, she shakily sat up and put a trembling hand to her forehead.
"Was it all a dream?"
The feel of the cold ground seemed a distant memory as she felt the soft sheets under her. Her hopes for safety were instantly abandoned as she saw the figure of her old friend hitting the floor as another man towered over him.
"Ryn!"
She got up to run to him, stumbling with the blood loss.

Reaching an arm out at the last second, Luferius caught hold of Ari and held her away from Ryn. "Indeed, I have seen your memories, Ryn Kuromaru. You have committed a crime far greater than this misdemeanors in this kingdom. It is by your very hand that Nyx came here, thus you are responsible for the Lord's untimely demise." Holding his hand out once more, scarlet energy entwined around Ryn's wrists and ankles to form shackles that locked into place. "This is high treason, and the penalty is death."
