Oh, I happened to overhear you were a vampire... That is a wonderful thing for a girl like myself to hear...
She smiled slightly showing her teeth.
I just thought that coming by and greeting the wonderful man who so kindly invited me here seemed proper. I do believe that my stay here will be quite amusing. Might I ask if there is anything I must do or say to stay here? I would hate to have to leave, and if there is anything I must do please just say so.

"You are welcome here in my kingdom. I do not require any form of payment for your stay. Only that you follow the rules of this realm."

She let out a gentle giggle as she bowed before Lord Katsuto, winking as she stood erect and left Throne Room to head to her Chambers

Entering into his throne room, the candles seemed to sense his presence as they flickered to life. He crossed over to a nearby window and turned to his guest.
"What is it that you wish to discuss?"

*Walks into the throne room and stares at the grand seat, sighing still pondering on things that Ryn had said. She kneels at the throne and hangs her head low*

*She stands* "It is only fair that I tell you some history of myself to better understand me. I was born out of kitsune and a human mother. For that my mother was banished from her clan. I never knew of my origins and no one in the village would ever explain to me the ears and tail I posses. On my 18th year, though, a friend had a slip of a tongue and revealed to me everything. I could not stay there any longer and I desperately wanted to search for my parents. I never found my mother, but my father..." *Looks over to the lord* "I know he lived. With what Ryn had said...I come to the conclusion the king was my father. Why else would he mate with my mother and leave so suddenly? If not, then in the war for peace my father could have been killed by your hands, directly or indirectly. Would this be not true?" *After completing those words tears start to fall* "I have been alone my lord. Having the hope seeing my father was the only thing I clung to throughout my journey of hardship and pain."

Katsuto's gaze seemed far away as the memories of the past began to manifest themselves before his eyes.
"It is true that peace has not always existed in this land. Wars and fighting were prevalent over the course of the ages. During that period of time, the king of Kitsunes was found dead one morning at the entrance of his home. He had two fang marks and no blood. I myself led the hunt to search out whoever had committed this crime in our name. I can assure you that the culprit was found and executed."

Katsuto shook his head as his gaze also turned to the window and the crimson night outside.
"Life is what you make of it. Ties are not needed to continue the life that you live. I am sorry for your loss, but life and unlife all have their shares of tragedy and heartache. Do not give into this depression so easily, for that leads only to ruin."

He places a hand on her shoulder in a consoling gesture, knowing full well the all consuming feel of grief. A flicker of pain adorned his face as thoughts of the past swarmed once more in his mind.

*Although she had said not to let her depression consume her she could not help the tears that flowed down her face* "My lord, if I may ask...was the king..did he look like me? Did I come from the royal family? If not, did anyone see my father on the battle field?"
