Akori blinked wondering why elephants where so excitement inducing. well he supposed they where tall and normally had good narbles. However Kemet occasionally saw them once in a while when the crossed into the bottom of kemet territory. "mm well they should be around there for some of the day just playing in the water and other such things. crocodiles tend not to go after elephants since they are so big and yep, I'll go get the stuff for the shrine" Akori stated.

“That’s wonderful! I’ve never seen an elephant up close. I’ve heard of them… I wanna see one!” Ion was bouncing about excited as she picked up and dusted things. Suddenly she had a thought. “Hey Akori if there are no large lizards like before than can we gather herbs that the water’s edge of the river right?” There were bound to be good plants by the water’s edge and Ion wanted to be able to help Akori get them. He would then be able to help his family and he would be much happier. Ion couldn’t wait to see him smiling and happy. Her tail started to wag without realizing it.

"ah the crocodiles, well they're always there but around here we shouldn't have a problem they tend to be really lazy during the day. Doesn't mean we shouldn't still proceed with caution." Akori stated his voice a bit far off. he wondered why the humans put all the necessary stuff. When he came back out of the small little hole he had crawled into he was carrying a basket of stuff. 'ah Ion looks happy today I'm glad' Akori smiled watching as her excitement over something showed in her tail.

Ion made ‘mhmm’ing sounds as Akori advised caution. Of course they would have to be careful. The lizards were big enough to eat a whole fox! Hearing some noise Ion turned to see Akori crawling out a little hole caring a basket of things that she hoped were for the parting ritual of the temple. He was smiled in reflex she smiled back happily. Small dust particles floated in the air from where Ion had been fussing with the pillows and beds. Weaving through the dust Akori seemed like a creature beyond this world. Ion felt her heart thumping loudly and hoped that Akori couldn’t hear it too.

Of course his whole composure was screwed when the dust irritated his nose and started sneezing. He looked up and was going to say something else but sneezed again. Quickly taking his basket out of the room he motioned for ion to follow him and left the dust hoping that eventually he would stop sneezing and making him look ridiculous. Now all he had to do was find out where the main room of the temple holding this shrine was.

Ion followed Akori trying very hard not to giggle. Akori looked cute sneezing. She didn’t sneeze at all due to the dust. After having traveled in the desert for so many days she found that dust didn’t affect her as much as it used to; and she had started with a high tolerance for it as it was. She looked around at the solid aged walls of the temple as she followed Akori. She wondered what kind of stories they held. Still Akori seemed on a mission.. and if they finished early they might be able to get a peek at the elephants. “How do you know where you’re going in this place?” He just seemed to know everything about this confusing place.

Akori tilted his head to the side and thought about it. "well in Kemet when you are young and almost an adult but still really in kit stage you decide what you want to do and Fyra starts teaching you little stuff to remember about the job. Eventually you take apprenticeship under the head of the trade you want and they start teaching you all sorts of things." Akori explained. "Mine was a bit different since I had told Dad from a very young age that I wanted to be a priest like him. so when ever he had to go to the different temples he would take me and Marius." he tried to explain.

“Oh so you started knowing everything you wanted to do in life when you were young.” Ion’s ears flicked in thought. What did she want from life? What was she even good at? She could hunt a bit and gather plants but she wasn’t particularly good at either. She liked stories but eventually forgot them. What does the future hold for me? I know that Akori said that Ion could join his family, but what do I bring to the family as a boon? For a moment her heart wavered between fluttery hope and despair. She had no special skills. Still the family would need normal foxes to help out those that had special skill sets right? She could always help out the tribe like that so wouldn’t the family be the same?

"Yes and No. It was really hard for me when I was little because other foxes didnt really get me seeing all these Narbles. They would make fun of me so I was ready to I guess run away and ask the modeities to halt my growth so I would stay a kit. However Horus sat down and actually listened to me and addressed all my worries. Even though the outside world didnt really understand me my home and my parents tribe supported me, they thought the narbles thing was kind of cool I guess. So I wanted to help them out and it was only natural at the time to become a priest... oops Shaman I guess. I had a little bit of magic from my dad and my mom has this weird good luck" he tried to explain. "It was a really hard decision since my older brother and youngest sister where leaving to parts unknown and it looked as if Marius and I would leave as well but I talked with everyone and Horus and finally came to the decision" Akori nodded feeling some need to tell her.

Her eyes wide Ion stared at Akori. “Could the modeities even do that? I’ve never heard of such a thing occurring.” Feeling her heart flutter in her chest Ion imagined the difference that would have happened. If Akori hadn’t grown up I never would have been able to talk to him like this. Would we even have been able to meet? I know I would have liked him even if he stayed a kit though it would have felt very different. “It’s good that your family supported you. I don’t remember much of my own family so having one support you so much must be nice.” Ion smiled at his description of his parents. A mystic father and a lucky mother? It sounds like Akori was born to be blessed. “I know it must have been hard having your siblings leave, but I’m glad that you stayed and became a shaman for your tribe. I’m sure they appreciate it. ” She bumped him with her shoulder gently.

He was quite puzzled at her wide eyes but then again it wasnt every day you found out what Modeities could do. Akori slowly nodded. "They can although I dont know of any cases that have actually gone through though" he pondered. "there is nothing like knowing you'll always have some one behind you but... you have that now because like I said you can come into my family. I'll be the support...?" he stated having mauled over it for such a long time the night before. It had even colored and influenced some of his dreams.

Ion shuddered a bit at the power the modeities had. “I’m just glad that there are a lot of good modeities out there. It would be scary to run into a modeity that was evil and did that kind of thing.” Forever being a pain in the tail Ion’s feet picked that exact moment that Akori said he would support Ion to trip over themselves. She caught herself from falling flat on her nose, but her face looked like a tomato with how much she was blushing. From his words or from her embarrassment of her feet she didn’t want to know. “T-thank you Akori. That means a lot to me.” Her heart hammering in her chest she leaned over and licked his cheek.

"They do seem to have a lot of power but then again its probably only natural when you think of the things that they've done like make and move mountains, seas, rivers. They control the afterlife and the moon and sun" Akori pondered. "there are some evil ones out there but then again there has to be some balance to the world dont you think?" He smiled softly as she seemed to be blushing, it was probably from tripping but you never knew. " You are very welcome you've been a big help to me so its something that I wanted to do and dont worry about tripping everyone trips at one point in time" he pointed out.

Melt into the floor. Come on just melt. Ion wanted to disappear from embarrassment. Akori was so kind but she kept making a fool of herself in front of him. She stared at her paws in shame. So she did what every upset girl chose to do.. made a joke of it to help move past it. “What you said before is true. Balance is good. To bad I don’t have any.” Ion tried to laugh and it came out weak and forced. She then decided to change tactics and the conversation. “so when we burn the incense and stuff do we have to say any special prayers or whatnot.?”

Akori opened his mouth a few times but stayed silent obviously this wasn't the time to try and point things out. Ion was embarrassed at the moment and obviously wanted a way out. "well I do (no he wont because nasai is too lazy to look up Egyptian prayers to osiris OTL) but dont worry it should be over pretty soon" Akori stated and walked into the main temple room washing his paws in a basin near the door. He grabbed a rag and proceeded to clear away sand and dust that had accumulated.
