(( ::is always slow replying... >>; ))
"I dunno. Is Kanti a baby? She said something about seeing a kid before she stepped out. She'll be back in a sec." Gullien replied, hoping one of the statements was what Osso wanted to here. She'd never actually been left alone with someone else's kid before. Osso seemed pretty normal though. Much better than Sabriel or Odnako or something... Actually, more than normal, he looked competent; high praise from Gullien. "Just try to remember to come up and breathe." She told Osso, directing the comment at him since Lassa failed to grasp that principle no matter how many times she heard it. "And drag Lassa up when you do. She's not great about that part of swimming."
True to Gullien's word, Lassa was still submerged, floating stomach down and legs hanging, rather like the newt her eyes came from. Both bobble-eyes were above the water now, watching Osso and Gullien with great interest. What were they talking about? Oh... Osso's Aumi was gone. Did she go somewhere? Did she... leave Osso? Leaving people was really bad. Real bad. Worry forced her to surface in a way that asphyxiation did not. "Did Aumi leave Osso?" She asked, softly.

(( x3; No worries ))
Osso was sitting upright now in the water, legs crossed before him. A nod was given to Gullien before he spoke, "I guess you could say that...Yeah." The bone child then turned to look at Lassa who had just surfaced near him. A smaller smile was given along with a shake of the head. "No, she just went to get someone... I guess she did leave, but she'll be ba-"
"Baaacckk!" Azumi called as she made her way back through the entrance, cutting off her charge's sentence.
"See?" Osso said as he looked back at Lassa after watching his mom come back.
The werewolf made her way back to the pool, but this time with added cargo. A wriggling babe, clad in a frilly yellow bathing suit, continued to mumble and make small screechy sounds in the arms of her guardian until Azumi sat back down next to Gullien. When the water touched her feet, she quieted, and when it moved up her legs, she shut up all together.
"Thank you for watching Osso," Azumi said as her attention was turned halfway to Gullien while the other half was focused on the now timidly water prodding child.

Gullien didn't cringe away from the wiggling child, really. She was just considerately giving Azumi room to get herself comfortable. Babies needed space, everyone knew that. For... growing. And emitting baby stuff. That was not a life stage she had missed in Lassa at all. In some ways, toddler couldn't have come soon enough. With another glance at the kid an anthro? another mishap? Gullien just gave up all together, slipping into the water with a grimace as her tail instantly soaked through and sank like lead. She wasn't much of a swimmer, but even the deep end only came up to her chest. Currently. Who knew what enchantments were on the pool?
Lassa crowed happily at the arrival of people and the soaking of Gullien. "Baby!" She quickly flitted over to Gullien, temporarily abandoning Osso to his watery seat. "Wanna see!" She informed her guardian, arms flailing in the water as she tried to hold them out without sinking. "Koala!"
Rather than pick up the little girl, as most would, Gullien simply crouched in the water, letting Lassa grab a hold of whatever she could on Gullien's tank top. It was an awkward arrangement, but Lassa was soon hanging from Gullien's back with an ease that suggested the two had been doing this for a long time. Koala. "Here we go." Gullien grunted, as a small hand yanked a bit too hard on it's captured lock of hair. "Lassa, this is... a baby." Gullien made an aborted gesture at Azumi, hoping the other woman would rescue her with an introduction.
Lassa was perfectly happy to do without, however. "Hi baby!" She grinned, examining the little thing. Flllllluffy. Fluffy like Sabriel! ...uh-oh. "Me Lassa!" she introduced herself, careful to keep all limbs behind the protection of Gullien's shoulders. "Is Osso." She added, pointing at Osso, just in case the baby forgot. "Hi Osso!" She waved at the other boy, just in case Osso had forgetten he was Osso. Just in case.

Azumi chuckled at Gullien's intro., "this is Kanti," she stated as she raised the child a little more out of the water. "She came from a ball of cheetah fur. Lassa know what a cheetah is?" the Noir asked as she turned her head away from the splashes her youngest charge was sending up at her.
Kanti squeeled with delight at getting the water to fly up, but soon her hand ceased for a moment when Lassa's voice caught in her ears. Amber eyes moved their focus from the water towards the child on the other big person's back. Kanti cocked her head when Lassa said her name, and then she followed the girl's gaze when she heard a familiar word; 'Osso'.
The babe blinked Osso's way and when he waved back, she went into a fit of giggles and off little "bwee" sounds.

"Kandy." Lassa agreed, nodding knowingly at Azumi and the cheater baby. Babies came from balls? That kinda made sense... but that wasn't the important part. "Kandy come swim too?" THAT was the important part. Kandy was already playing in water.
"Kan-TI." Gullien corrected. shifting the little squirt as Lassa squirmed, excited about the baby. "Her name is Kanti, kiddo. And I think she's too little too swim. Do you want Azumi to tell you what a cheetah is?" Gullien had a vague idea, some kind of fast cat from some kind of hot place, but she didn't know the particulars. Besides, if it got Lassa's mind off of getting everyone in the water as fast as possible, it could only be a good thing. Slow the kid down and give Osso a chance to get used to the water. Give Lassa a chance to socialize, too. They had plenty of water at home after all.
"Cheater?" Lassa asked, peering over Gullien's shoulder at Kand-ti. She sorta knew the word, but... "Dunno... is a cat thing? Is Osso a cheater?" She peered back at Osso, dangling backward with one hand wrapped around Gullien's tank strap. Although she didn't differenciate between Gullien's shirt, shoulders and hair as hand-holds, she never let her hands stray near the ninja-band still wrapped about Gullien's head. "Tell Lassa what cheater is?" She upside-down asked Osso, clearly more interested in what he thought it was then what Azumi did.
"Chee-TAH!"

(( xD Lassa makes me laugh <3 ))
Osso came foreward at the newt girl's question about the animal that Kanti shared looks with. He was smiling, trying not to keep giggling from Lassa's mis pronounceations of the words. Plopping downin front of his mother, who was also stiffling some laughter, and Gullien, he started. "A cheetah is..." a quick glance was given to Azumi, who only nodded her head to tell him to go on. "A cheetah is a a cat species that lives in multiple parts of Africa and some parts of Asia. They haev spotted fur, really long tail and legs, narrow feet, big chests, and claws that are always out. They're really really really fast and are soll-it-tary." He gave a short nod in finish.
"Very good, dear," approved Azumi before sputtering slightly as another splash from Kanti hit her full force in the face.

((It's hard to believe english is her first language. XD ))
Lassa blinked at Osso, having only followed about half of the big words. Spee-cees? Soll-it-tary? She did get the basic idea though... cheaters were big cats that went fast and were from places that weren't here. And Kand-ti was one of them. "Kand-ti is really fast?" She asked, her interest level dropping slowly. Osso hadn't mentioned swimming in that whole explanation. How interesting could cheaters be if they didn't swim? They splashed good though.
Gullien kept an eye on Osso as he moved to the deeper water, while also trying to keep an eye on Lassa. She didn't have nearly the eyes that Lassa did, but she managed it well enough. At her age, Kanti being fast was doubtful, but she'd let Azumi or Osso field the question, just in case. She'd never though Lassa could swim as a babe either. Although from the way Lassa was starting to fidget, either she hadn't understood what Osso was saying and was covering it, or she was getting bored, or she was getting cold. Possibly all of the above.

Azumi answered this one. "No, dear. She's too little to run, though she's pretty good at crawling as far as I'm concerned," she explained with a chuckle.
Osso nodded before resuming his underwater exploration. It wasn't that he didn't find kanti's roots interesting... but well, he'd heard Azumi explain them enough. From below the surface he noted all the water-logged tails and their slow-motion moving fur; Gullien's banded one, his mom's black one, and Kanti's rather long banded and spotted one. It was a rather interesting display .
Another squeel of delight sounded from the splashing babe until her amber eyes saw that Osso had disappeared. First blinking a few times in complete and utter bewilderment, Kanti stopped her splashing and ran her small hands over the surface. Eyes darted back and forth while emitting a worried sort of "eehh!"
Looking up, the child saw Lassa again. Perhaps she'd know? With wide eyes the cheetah child made a questionable sound, "nuh? Nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh..!"

Cute as Kand-ti was, she'd completely lost Lassa's interest the moment Osso dived under the water. A kid in the water was worth two on the land. In the hand. Something. Without even registering Kand-ti's noises, Lassa kicked off of Gullien's back, bounced off of the arm Gullien reflectively shot out to grab her and crashed into the water with a great splash and tremendous glee. It only took her a moment to flip underwater, shoot through Gullien's legs, tug at Osso's leg and shoot off again towards the shallow end, clearly and utterly hoping Osso would try to persue her. If swimming motions could shout "Catch me if you can!" the pool would be deafening.
If Gullien could shout what she was thinking, the pool room would be deafening. As it was, with Azumi and Osso and a not-doubt shrieky when alarmed baby there, the best she could do was simply shut her eyes, pinch the bridge of her nose and count to ten. Next time she was GLUEING Lassa to the milk cartons. Honestly. Ugh. Oh well. At least she was heading to the shallows. And it was a pool, not a lake. Nothing could happen to her here. And there was another adult to help keep an eye on things. And, and, and. Bleah. Dropping her hand, Gullien sighed, gave Lassa the evil eye and then turned back to Azumi. "So... is Kanti a mishap too?" She asked, honestly having no idea where the conversation had been before Lassa's little stunt.

Osso whipped around in the water, as well as the depth would allow, when he felt a tug on his leg. Immediatly the boy spotted Lassa headed towards the shallow end. Quickly he shot out from under the water and did the oddest looking sprint towards the newt girl. After much sloshing, and almost falling, Osso launched himself and landed with a large splash on the right of Lassa.
The sudden take off of her charge caused Azumi to mometarily forget Gullien's question and watch Osso with a raised brow. When he did a near bellyflop she cringed slightly and shook her head before returning attention to the tanuki.
"Nnnno, I'm not really sure what Kanti is...But are you alright?" the Werewolf asked in regard to the eye-closing, nose pinching thing she had seen Gullien do when Lassa took off.
kanti also watched Osso burst out of the water and squirmed to turn around and watch the water sloshing boy go off. The babe was completely confused to where Osso had disappeared to before, but well...he was sort of back now, so that was okay.

"Me? I'm fine. Lassa's just being a bit of a snot, right now." Gullien sighed in response to Azumi's question. "She knows she's not supposed to jump into the pool. Lassa," Gullien said with an air of finality "is pushing it right now." God, weren't they not supposed to be testing the rules like this until they became teens or something? Have your fun now, kiddo, but we're not going back to the lake until you're eighty.
Lassa was definately having her fun now. She shrieked happily at the wave of water Osso was sending up, bobbling in it's wake for a moment before diving down and to other the other side of Osso, her two eyes blinking at him above the water like bizarre periscopes. She waited for him to approach her again, mindful of the fact that he was a lot slower in water than she was. Chase wasn't actually fun unless the other person could catch you, after all.

Azumi nodded. She didn't think "being a snot" were the right words, but also Azumi didn't see anything wrong with jumping in the water. She mentally shrugged. Each parent had their own rules and the Noir was just one who was pretty lax on them, so she kept her mouth shut on the whole parenting subject. "Ah. Osso does that too at times," she replied and looked back over her shoulder at the two Mishaps.
Osso watched from above water as Lassa moved to his other side. He laughed to himself at the sight of her bobble eyes watching him and he slowly moved to face her. Head going back under, crept/crawled closer in an exagerated stalking fashion.

"Really? He seems pretty level-headed. " Gullien replied, watching the young boy moving towards Lassa. "How old is Osso?" He was definately quite a bit older than Lassa, but he seemed to be mindful of that as he played with her. Perhaps that came from having a younger sibling around the house.
Lassa waggled her tail happily as Osso snuck towards her, one bobble eye winking as she paddled backwards, equally slowly. Under the water, she eyed her enviroment. Okay, there were lines on the pool. So let Osso come... that close. That line, there. And then tickle attacks!

"He normally is, but there are always time when he'll refuse to listen," she stated before turning to watch the two Mishaps again. "He'll technically be a year old by the end of the month. But," she gave a small shrug," I'm not sure what age that relates to in uh... Well, however Mishaps grow. He acts like a twelve year old though...And Lassa? She's certainly one of the more active toddlers that I've met."
The pool lines went completely unnnoticed by the approaching boy. Hollow sockets were still pretty much fixed on Lassa... though she hadn't exactly come any closer. Seeing as this stalking plan wasn't doing all that great, he decided to go just a little further. What ever Lassa was planning went straight over his head as he put each pool line behind him.

"Yeah, she's pretty high energy. She was like that as a baby too. Lassa's about 6 or 7 months old. Well... probably a bit older. I don't know how old she was when I got her." Gullien watched Lassa waiting for Osso. That tail was wagging again. It usually meant she was up to something. That was definately something Lassa had learned from Polar. Gullien was not a wagger. "I've asked around, but maybe you'd know." She asked Azumi softly, so that Lassa and Osso wouldn't overhear. "How long does Mishaps live? I mean... are they going to have an accelerated lifespan indefinately?"
Slowly.... slowly.... THERE! GET 'EM! Lassa flung herself foward and partially out of the water, leading against Osso's chest like a sack of potatoes, hands wiggling at what were possibly ticklish spots. Possibly? Skeleton's had ticklish spots, surely. Funny bones, or something.
