Now we're getting somewhere. Rex pressed his lips shut, stiffling a yawn, and wrote down what was said by Bax. Looking sideways at Aphrodite's notes, Rex followed what she wrote, blinking back tears from the yawn earlier.
Want... So there's hope.
Smiling to himself, Rex brought his left hand up and fingered the spectral feather dangling by a black string around his neck.

Scribbling down notes quickly, Lenore gave an inward indifferent shrug. As far as she was concerned, Air wasn't too important. Now, Shadow, that was something that came in handy.
Waiting for Baxterfullous to speak again, she decided to play around a little. Her desk was a little shadowed - twirling her fingers on the darker part of the desk's surface, she coaxed the familiar wispy black substance up and twirled it around her fingers. Who would bother messing around with Air when she could do stuff like that?

Smiling at Lenore, seeing her play with the wispy black substance. "Lenore, how aptly timed... " He said, wiping the board, and writing the word 'Shadow'. ".. This seems to be your favourable.. and weaker alignment. Knowing this... how do you feel? What can you do?" His ears twitched waiting for her answer.
Aphrodite blinked, yawning herself. Pesky yawns, so contagious.

Feeling a little embarrassed that she'd drawn the teacher's attention, Len hesitated before answering.
"I...dunno how I feel. I like it more than Air - I'm more comfortable with it."
Wondering briefly if she should even bother to mention the pointy object she'd made for Dei, she plowed on resolutely.
"I can lift it off of the ground or walls. And I can kind of make it solid. When I make it solid, I can shape it practically anyway I want, as long as it isn't too complex."
She looked up at Baxterfullous shyly, hoping she'd given the right answer.

"Being comfortable with your Alignment is very good, it means you have confidence in your abilities." He smiled impressed with her abilites. "My, your more advanced than I thought..." He took a moment to write a few notes down in the open file he had.
"Now... The shadow alignment along with it's brother alignment, Light are considered the escape artist on the alignment lists. I'll go further into Light after I finish explaining it's sister alignment Shadow..." He spoke as he made himself down from his platfrom.
"Shadow is a rather obvious alignment, being able to manipulate shadows, mainly your own... but if a caster is skilled enough, that limit can be past and they can even control and alter shadows that aren't even theirs." He smiled lifting his hand as the shadows in the room stretched towards him. "Also, like how Miss Lenore had mention if you concentrat hard enough you can even make shadows solid." He smiled once more, as he walked towards the shadow of the table infront of him. "Now, other abilities includes creating illusions... like creating the illusion of nightfall... and traveling within shadows!" He said as he then jump and fell into the shadow of the table, swimming about in the bleak darkness that was of the shadow realm. He appeared a few feet away behind his desk, eraser in hand as he wiped away the name and replaced it with the word Light.
Aphrodite blinked a few times as she watched him, it felt weird when he was pulling the shadows... it was like he was trying to pull her closer to him. She shuddered a bit as she tried to finsh her notes. As she finished she looked at Lenore, watching her manipulate the little black wisp, then to Bax. Oddly there was a fe similarities bewtween them. They were both dark in nature and found horror and the macabre intriuging... how odd.
"Now.. I am aware that Mr. Malachi is aligned with this alignmnet... " His eye brow quirked, looking over at Ike. "Can you tell us how it makes you feel.. and if you've accomplished anything?"

Ike propped his head up in his hand, blinking sleepily.
"Don't call me Mister, please. Malachi is fine."
He dropped his pencil and raised his free hand, causing a little ball of light to form.
"I can't do much. I don't know what I'm supposed to be able to do," he huffed and closed his hand, causing the light to extinguish, "As of this moment, I feel weak. Horribly, horribly weak...and outcast. I want nothing more than to...be the best horribly-aligned Vampire out there." His ears folded back and he grabbed his pencil again.
"Enlighten me, sir."

Baxterfullous sighed, shaking his head a bit. "I understand how you feel, most often than not Light is looked down upon merely for it's name. On the contrary it's very usueful, while not really having any physically damaging attacks you can blind someone, seriously." He sat down on his desk, his arms crossed. " I wil help you work this alignment to your advantage."
"Light and shadow and nearly the same alignment except one controls a different thing than the other. Light manipulates light, while shadow manipulates shadows.. while down to the bare bones they can both do the same things, such as make areas dark or brighter by simply manipulating the shadows or dimming the light of the area. Also both have very interestig modes of transportation. Now.. moving on to topic..." He moved from where he sat, earasing the board and writing the word 'Light'.
"Light as I just mentioned, can control and manipulate light... Meaning you can make areas brighter or darker depending if you release or absorb the light around you... Which can be used to blind sight enemies that can't see in bright lights or in no light at all.
"Much like Shadow, a skilled caster aligned with Light can manipulate light to a point of giving it physical form. Best examples making a sword of light and such.. or even better, creating a decoy. Light, unlike Shadow has the ability to create life like illusions to the decieve the mind and eyes.
"The most noteable ability of Light aligned caster is their speed. Hernessing the power of their alignment, a caster can run at speeds unimaginable... and even so fast you can't track with the naked eye... Other abilities that can be done, is what you just showed Malachi. A small orb of light to light your path in darkened areas, creating mirages, blinding, and even replicating the aurora borealis."
Aphrodite looked at Ike, she frowned a bit. He felt like an outcast? Biting her lip, she sighed writing her notes, it was better not to pry.

Rex glanced over at Ike in disbelief, then to Bax, even more so. All the while the boy had been scribbling down notes, though his eyes were all but focused on his book.
"Cool powers, Ike." The boy said to the moody child, waving his pencil at him. Rex gave Ike a nod, and returned to his notepad, only to see diagonal sentences and misaligned words.
"Eh."

"Alright, that's six down.. four more to go down the list and then break!" He clasped his hands together, not bothering with the blackboard behind him. "Alright, now I will start on the alignments that not many of you would think of.. the first of these four are Mind." He leaned back onto his desk. "Aphrodite I am aware that you are aligned with Mind, now tell me how do you feel and what have you accomplished?"
The littlest mishap blinked for a moment, letting her tiny hands run through her magenta hair. "I can't reallyt hink about how it makes me feel..." She spoke as she kicked her legs in the air. "... I can sometimes, when I concentrate really hard feel what other people are feeling."
"That's called empathy. It means you can read others feelings, which is a well known ability of those aligned with mind...Mind is a tricky alignment, generally it allows casters to become telekinetic, moving things with their mind, reading emotions and thoughts, and seeing auras. One of the more notable abilites a mind aligned caster can do is see and speak with the dead. Allowing them to have clairvoyance and claireaudience."
Aphrodite gaped at him, she didn't know she could do that.
" Other things they can is speak with animals and have a wonderful sixth sense if I can call it that."

Deimos listened intently, though his paper remained blank. His mind mulled over this. So he had himself, two illusionists, a physchic and an earth alighned so far. There awa s a sly sort of grin plastered on his face as he turned to look at each of them in turn. Yes, yes.. THis would all do very nicely for a pirate crew...

Rex glanced down at Aphrodite and smiled at her. Without a word he turned back to his notebook and scribbled down more notes, humming softly to himself.
King, however, rumbled unhappily. No one had paid any attention to him, and nothing to do! Hmph.
"Rr... rowrr!"

Baxterfullous merely smiled, eyeing Diemos's blank paper. He knew the smug look on his face would soon be gone as soon as the word test would be flung out to them after the lecture.
Placing his hands behind his back in a futile effort to stretch. " Now as we continue on... I would like to quickly press on to the next three, so we can go on into our long awaited break."
Aphrodite blinked, had an hour almost passed? Woah. Looking up at Rex, she gave a bright blush, smiling sheepishly she returned to her note scribbling quickly.
Baxterfullous blinked at the 'rowr', unsettled by the outburst he turned his attention slowly to Rexier. "Now, the alignment we turn to is Gravity. I know only one other with this sort of alignment besides, you, Rexier. Can you tell me... if you have had any encounters with this alignment, I know for you it's very small, but it's still there."

It was Rexier's turn to blush, as Salem addressed him. Gosh, he had almost forgotten he was even alligned with Gravity at all! Shifting a little in his seat, the boy gave a slight cough.
"Well, to tell the truth sir, I haven't been working on the allignment at all." Rex furrowed his eyebrows as he recalled Jabirs words during his allignment test.
"Jabir said it's very weak, almost non-existent. I'll need to work on it as hard as the elements I did not have." There was a pause as an expression of set determination filled Rex's face. "Which I will."

Baxterfullous smiled. "I'm glad that you have such a wonderful determination. If you place this effort in your work, you will be an outstanding caster... also on to the subject of working with alignments outside of your strength is a very advanced subject. I will teach you to work with after you have become teenagers...But we must continue onto this lecture." Baxterfullous crossed his arms over his chest.
"Gravity is very powerful alignment, I should know this.. I've dealt with Gravity casters before first hand. Gravity controls well, gravity, as well as electricity. The most common abilities casters of this alignment have is the ability to make things heavy or light, making them have the ability to sink or fly. Extremely skilled casters can create tremendous gravitational pulls... even to an extent of making sparks of electricity, blackholes, and even an orbit."
Aphrodite smiled again at Rex, she felt a ping in her chest watching his determination. She couldn't help but admire him, smiling she turned back to her notes continuing to scribble.

Rex positively beamed at the magic teacher, moreso after the catfolk said that working with allignments outside one's strength was advanced stuff, and that the allignment in question was powerful.
Jotting down the notes with just a few pictures, mainly bolts of electricity and a simple scribble of the solar system, Rex translated these to King, who churred in excitement and plots starting forming in the reptile's head(mostly regarding getting things towards himself, rather than evil take-over-the-world plots).
The boy chuckled suddenly at the secret conversation between King and himself. Suddenly self-conscious at the deed, Rex snapped back to his notes, but not before catching sight of Aphrodite. With a sheepish smile and a nod, Rex re-focused his attention towards Baxterfullous, the lesson and making notes.
