"Right....right....." He slowly started to calm down and nodded his head, "I remember....I'm sorry...." He smiled at his mate, "I didn't mean to panic...." He looked over at the Phim and offered her a smile, "Oh Ali! Your sister is here....we were just talking about how much he missed his mother and sister....Isn't this great news....now you can see her sooner then you thought." He beamed as his tail wagged happily, "Of course we will stay right here....Oh wait!" he held up his paw, "What's your name?" He smiled at her.

”E-Emi sir.” She bowed her head respectively to sir Alamar’s mate. She looked up at Alamar and smiled. He had missed his sister? That was wonderful. His sister had missed him as well. That was why she had taken the trip to the outerworld to come and see him. Emi could not remember a time when her master had not looked out for her smaller little half-brother. “I shall go and inform Master of your location. She will be so thrilled to see you and meet your mate.” Oh the brown fox seemed so nice.
Alamar only nodded and watched the phim go. Nothing was wrong, yet his father had retired. Had their family been blackmailed with some information about one of them forcing the house to disband? Surely that would not happen. His father had always been a stern fox and would not step back from a threat. Who had stepped up as house head? Was his older sister in danger. The whole situation made him uneasy.

"Emi..." He smiled, "I like that name a lot..." He nodded his head, "We'll be waiting right here for you..." He looked over at his mate and frowned slightly, "Ali....is something wrong?" He nuzzled his mate's neck. there was such a stern look on his face. What had happened? This was good news wasn't it? he finally got to see his sister after so long.

Alamar looked at Ritsu a bit shocked. He was that easy to read to his mate? He thought he had on that stone mask he had done so well in the past when troubled. “Yes and no. I am wondering what is going on. That is all. It is not like an heir to a House to simply travel along. They would have to be reckless or on a mission. Neither is particularly a good thing. House heads often frown on such behavior.”

"Oh.....well....I'm sure that everything is alright." He smiled at his mate, "I mean....Emi didn't say that anything was wrong...if something had been wrong she would have told us right." He nodded his head, then licked Ali's cheek. "Everything is fine....smile.....you get to see your sister again after all this time. This is a happy day love." He snuggled into his mate and tried to offer him whatever comfort that he could.

Alamar nodded. “Yes she would have told us had something been wrong. She was never good at keeping secrets unless my sister asked her too. Then you could not get her to speak until my sister said she could” Alamar laughed and took comfort in Ritsu. As he was about to say something. Three phims came in. Alamar’s eyes widened. Coming back to Alamar and Ritsu she was blushing. Behind her was Lilia and Ritilanshia. “Ah I had been gone to long searching a-and so master and Lilia came to find me.” Emi was blushing so red she seemed like a tomato with fur. “Alamar it is so good to see you again!” Ritilinshia walked up and happily embraced her half brother. She then turned her gaze to Ritsu. “You are my brother’s mate?” She walked around him carefully looking at him from every angle with a frown on her face. “You are a male yes? Why do you dress like a female? How did you meet my half-brother? Are you aware of how our land works with outlander pairings? I can see why my brother would not drag you through the routines of the lesser houses since you would not pass their inspection still I am surprised that you ended up his mate.” Rit’s tone was not disproving only curious. Still she looked at her brother harshly as he growled at her questioning his mate. “Oh calm down brother dear. I’m not going to eat him. Em, Lil go find us some food. I can see this meeting may take a while.” “Of course Master.” Lilia left dragging Emi behind her. The master wanted food they would get it.(yay for food bring servants)

"Y-yes...I....I'm a male...." His eyes went wide as all of the sudden he found himself in an interrogation. All the questions ran at him t once, making his head swim. He felt like fainting, but he didn't want to seem weak so he stood his ground and looked at the Phim who was Ali's sister. He was surprised to see that she was indeed a Phim, Ali had never mentioned that part to him. But everyone was staring at him, so he thought that he had better start answering some questions.
"I.....I don't know why I dress like a female....A squirrel stole my dinner..." He blushed cherry, "Ali explained your customs....Oh please don't disown him....H....he misses you terribly.....I don't want your family split because of me...I....I don't know what that last part means so..." He quickly looked down, "I'm sorry if you don't like me....but....I love your brother more then anything in the world...He's....the best fox that I know....And...I make him happy....I think....No I know....I make Alamar happy...and he makes me happy...Isn't that....enough?" He asked meekly.

Rit turned and glared at Alamar.“ You told him about the disowning and not about the training? How could you leave that out? It is how your own mother was accepted as our father’s mistress after my mother died!” Oh how she wanted to strangle her brother sometimes. He always prepared for the worse. She turned back to Ritsu smiling. “Oh do not worry. He will not be disowned until the house head makes a ruling. Now normally and outworlder is taken and adopted by a lesser house and then once they are trained and examined by the lesser nobles they can be paired off as secondary mates to those of great houses. Or in my brother’s case since he is not the heir you would have been allowed to be his mate rather than … mm bed companion as many secondary mates that are males are. The fact is you seem rather fail and probably would not be judged suitable mate material and rejected. So that is way my brother did not consider the possibility.” She looked at the fail male with a warm smile. “Ah here I am questioning you when I have not even introduced myself. I am Ritilanshia, you may call me Rit for short since my brother is so clearly fond of you.” Rit looked at her brother who was glaring at her. “And you need to stop assuming the worst. Father stepped down as house head and so I am now the head of the eighth house.” She tapped her ear that had the house symbol on it.
Alamar looked at his sister in shock. “I assumed I would be disowned since I thought father was still house head, and you are aware as I how he feels about male pairings.” Alamar walked between his sister and his mate. He cleared his thought and looked at his mate. “I am certain you have questions after meeting my sister and surviving her inquisition.” He tried to make a joke to put his mate at ease. He looked at his sister. “Do not bull over my mate sister dear. You might be house head but I know you too well to let you simply have your way.” He snorted as Rit made clearly fake puppy dog eyes. “I know your tricks sister dear. So play nice”

"I.....I don't really know what to say.....I would never pass some test to become his...mistress?" He looked at Rit utterly confused, "I'm actually happy about that....I don't want to share Ali with anyone....I want to be his only mate...." He looked over at Alamar, "I don't want you to have any other mates.....why do your people have second mates?" He shook his head, "I do not understand....Mates....their something special....unique......it should be two soul mates....combined for the rest of their lives..."

Rit rolled her eyes wondering how her brother had picked this male who seemed so clueless as to how politics would of course work out in a noble house. “Many of the pairing of the noble houses are done by a council to strengthen ties between houses and prevent inbreeding. That pair are called ‘mates’ they are expected to produce an heir to carry on the line. After that the two never even need to speak with one another. Only appear to be friendly on social occasions. Since these pairings are done by logic many nobles take a mistress or bed companion as a secondary mate. This is who they truly enjoy spending time with and is a more compatible relationship. Alamar need never worry about being formally paired off since he was never heir. As such you would be his mate unless the house head decided to pair him off formally. Our father was very against male pairings and would have considered this. Alamar would never listen to such a thing since he holds the view of only ever taking one mate in life. As such would have been disowned.”
His entire life Alamar had never questioned the taking of secondary mates for others. Since often times the first pairing for mates was less than pleasing to both parties. Still he could never consider more than one mate. His mother had raised him that way. He was worried that Rit’s speech might have put some unpleasant ideas into Ritsu’s head and he wanted to be completely honest with his mate. “Ritsu I have never taken a mate or even had a fling before. I would never consider doing so to you. Please know that.” Alamar reached out to touch Ritsu but held back halfway afraid his not explaining the customs of his homeland had made Ritsu feel that Alamar did not trust him. Alamar had simply not thought about breaching the topic since he assumed it was the same in the outerworld.

Ritsu smiled at Alamar, "I know that...." His tail wagged slightly as he nuzzled against his mate, then he looked back over at Rit, "I appreciate your kindness in explaining things to me.....Things are very much different out here in our culture....the thought of taking a mate for political reasons is....well....it's not something that is done very often. mates are chosen for strictly love, and once mated you mate for life...only to that person. To have another lover is the greatest crime you can commit.....Which is why...the thought of sharing Alamar with anyone was so terrifying to me.....I hope that you can understand how different our cultures are and manage to find some middle ground that we can both agree on....for Ali's sake at least...."

Snorting Rit gazed down at Ristu from her full height. “I happen to be the head of the house and look nothing like my father and act even less like him. You want to know how he looked than take a look at your mate. Other than his eyes he is our father’s clone. Both of them are stubborn and overprotective. Do not presume to know my mind mate of my brother.” She through a wink to Ritsu to let him know she wasn’t really mad. “As the head of a noble house I can declare you fit to be a paired partner with my brother. I happen to think that you are good for him. He obviously would not be parted from you if he would consider being disowned before coming home to talk it over. I Ritlinishia of the eighth great house of Tzara hereby proclaim you to be my brother’s mate and equal to that of the lesser houses. This of course would be a political union to form ties between the eighth house and the outworld with the purpose of learning about its strange culture and the foxes that live here. As such not even a council could consider pairing Alamar with another of Tzara.” She stretched her wings and yawned. “There how does that sound brother? I took care of protocol and mated you off and you cannot be paired of with anyone else. In fact you might as well not even come back to Tzara. Though I did expect you to keep in touch from time to time.”
Alamar had been frowning as Rit lectured his mate. Still a smile started to break out as Rit’s intentions became clear. “Yes sister. I am very happy. Come to think of it have you gone before a counsil yet” Rit only shrugged so he was a bit worried for his sister.

"I didn't say anything about your father...." He whispered mostly to himself then shut up as he continued on with his speech. He blinked at the wink, he didn't understand what was going on but at least Rit wasn't angry with him. He was hoping that he hadn't said something to offend her. "So....really?" He looked at the female Phim surprised, "Ali...." he beamed and licked his mate, "You weren't disowned. Oh I am so happy....I would have been so sad if you had to be separated from your family...I don't think I would have ever forgiven myself..." He beamed and then bowed his head at Rit, "Thank you so much...."

Rit waved it off. “I know you did not speak of my father, but you asked me for a compromise as though I would not simply accept you as my brother’s mate. My father would not. I am not he though.” She smiled and patted Ritsu on the head when he bowed to her. “Aww you are very cute. I can see why my little brother chose to be with you.” She turned to her brother. “my council meeting will take place next year. Unless I find a mate of my own who is suitable.”
Nodding Alamar nodded understanding. “I hope you find a male you can arrange a policatal union with of your choosing rather than that of a council.” He turned back to Ritsu and smiled. ”I love you. I am glad I get to have you and my family.”

He smiled as he snuggled into his mate and sighed in contentment, "Me too...." He nuzzled Alamar's neck gently then looked at Rit and smiled. "I am glad that I got to meet you Lady Rit....and that you are so accepting of our union...." He gestured to Alamar. Really it was a huge relief to him knowing that Alamar wouldn't lose his family over becoming his mate.
"I am so happy...." Ritsu blushed as he buried his face in his mate's fur, purring slightly.
