marius raised and eyebrow and wondered how long this was going to last having a smirk on his face to counter the pouty expression. Growing up around girls and having a sister and a mother helped a lot in being able to resist different girl faces. Well he supposed he could think about the herbs he was to pick up to pass the time. He wondered slightly why he was still hanging around. He had made sure she was okay right. He supposed it was because she was pretty and definitely amusing to say the least.

"Mm...." It didn't really work if he was silent too. Sighing slightly she looked off to the side and spotted a small stature. "Hm?" She smiled and ran over to it, then started to climb to the top. She struggled a little, but she finally made it to the top and laid down on the pointed bearded man's head. She curled up and closed her eyes, with a smile on her face.

"you know. getting up there is all nice and done..." Marius started trailing off for effect as he watched her try and finally succeed at climbing said statue. "but there is the whole part of getting down." he chuckled. It would at least prove to be a bit of amusement. Oh well while she napped it was a good opportunity to start eating his fish, no reason for it to go to waist. ugh he sighed wanting to know why the stupid plant could only be picked twice a day. "because Atum is playing with you thats why" he rolled his eyes.

"Mm....what are you mumbling about down there angel?" She peeked one of her eyes open sleepily. "Do you always talk to yourself this much?" Xylara smiled as she watched him. He was rather cute when he talked to himself. Even though it was a little odd, it was also endearing. "What is this your saying about Atum playing with you? Why do you say that?"

"mmm about the likelihood of you slipping off that statue when you try to come down and hurting that butt of yours" He countered back. "and I suppose I talk to myself occasionally. Its better to keep track of things and passes the time when traveling out in the desert." he tilted his head a bit as to lessen the strain on his neck. "because we have a cold going through our tribe that only a plant that can be picked twice a day can cure thats why"

"I am not going to slip...." She smiled at him, "I am a very skilled climber.....mostly..." She snuggled up further, "Cure what?" She yawned as she smiled sleepily at Marius. "Are you sick or something?" There was a slightly worried gleam in her eyes. She didn't know this male very long, but he was the one who had saved her from dying in the forest. "Maybe.....i could help you find this herb.....I don't want my rescuer dying the day that I met him."

"oh not me I'm rather fit as can be, it takes a lot for me to get sick" Marius stated "the herbs are for my father he's the tribe shaman. There has been this cold going around and he's been giving the medicine the tribe does have to the other members. As such Horus ordered me out to go bring back the herb so more medicine could be made" Marius stated but then thought about her offer. "well you could help me. the herb grows by the water and I really dont want to be having to watch out for crocodiles at the same time" he pondered.

"Your father is sick?" She was more awake now, and a little worried. Marius had done so much to help her today, the least she could do was return the favor and help him save his father. "Mm..." she looked down, "I think you were right...it's going to be more a challenge to get down the i expected..." Xylara sighed heavily, then slowly, carefully inched her way down then when she was low enough she jumped off and shook out her fur.
"Well you fetch the herb i will watch the waters for crocs...." She nodded her head, smiling, "Come on....I don't know where to go."

"ah surprisingly most of my tribe is sick. Dad has the worst of it because he's been running around helping everyone else." Marius pointed out nodding. He laughed at her statement about the statue "well of course I'm right, I've climbed up enough of them to know that climbing down is never as easy as it seems" he shook his head.
Marius waited until she had walked over towards him before walking off towards the location of the herb, he paused all of a sudden as something occurred to him. "Xylara out of curiosity do you know how to watch out for crocodiles?" it wasn't as if he doubted her ability but if she hadn't grown up around here and crocodiles themselves....

"Your entire tribe?" She looked at him surprised, what could possibly get an entire tribe sick. it must be a powerfully strong virus. "Well...of course I do..." She scoffed at him, puffing out her chest, for reasons she couldn't explain. "I am the best look out for crocs..." Xylara made a face, then slowly she started to look over at Marius with a sheepish look on her face. "Um....just for curiosity's sake....say you were being a look out, which i can totally do, how would you look out for crocs? I know what to do....I just want to make sure that you....know what to do. Because I don't think that you know how to do it."

If he hadnt grown up around chione and Akori he probably would have faltered which would have caused him to trip. As such he just had a disbelieving shudder. "Well it you see something unnatural like a log that shouldn't be there.. or a log at all watch it. If you see ripples that you haven't seen the cause of be on high alert and carefully keep your eyes glued onto the water anything could be cause for alarm." he stated crushing the urge to shake his head.

"See....i knew that." She smiled and puffed out her chest, "I was just testing you to see if you knew. Which you passed by the way....congratulations." Xylara smirked and walked toward the hallway then started skipping off down it. "Just call me the croc slayer....Xylara....the croc slayer....dun dun dunnnnnnnn." For some reason, probably the heat stroke, she was completely out of character and thus just decided to go with it since there was no fighting it anyway. "Come on slowpoke....I can't slay the crocs if there's no one there to watch."

If Marius had been on a recruiting mission instead of the one he was on. He might consider taking her back to the tribe her attitude towards crocs would definitely fit in at the tribe. Then again maybe she was still suffering from lingering affects, sure he lived in a desert and knew how to patch things up but he wasnt the healer Akori and his father where. "uhuh I some how dont believe you. Do try not to get eaten" he stated trying to keep a tone out of his statement. Soon enough they reached the banks of the iteru.

"I am not going to get eaten...." her perched herself close enough to the water's edge without being close enough to be pulled in and eaten. "Gather your herb Marius. I will make sure to keep watch over the crocs." Her eyes scanned the water's surface carefully. There was no way she was going to allow herself to fall prey to one of the scaly bastards. Not that she had ever seen one up close, who would want that anyway. Suddenly in the distance she saw what looked to be a bobbing log in the water, "Um...Marius....I would suggest....speeding it up a little bit....just a....little tidbit because....i think I see something coming toward us." She smiled nervously, "Just....curious once again....How does one...fight a crocodile anyway?"

The chuckle that rumbled through the males throat was less than reassuring. "You dont fight crocodiles unless you're a phim and have the advantage of rising back up in the air or a perma like I said. then you are small enough to grab on to its face and block its eyes. If say your partner or you gets grabbed do not let it drag you into the water. go for its eyes or hit its snout hard enough and it should let you go" Marius stated collecting the different herbs he needed. He did hurry just in case Xylara had seen something.
