"Naturally, Ill check it out. You?" Vaith grinned, giving Ren a challenging lift of his chin. Looking in Ren's direction, Vaith followed the other's action.

"Heyheyhey, wait for me!" He called, climbing a tree next to Ren. He had a more difficult time, his hands running across splinters and his grimace told that there was A LOT of them.

Kasumi stared into the deep recesses of the fog. Something was shining? How bizarre, but it seemed rather important! Bracing herself, the ghost stepped beneath the nearest tree and gazed up into it. Of course, she couldn't see more than five inches in front of her face, so she really had no idea whether or not the whatever it was was actually in the tree. She scrunched her brows together. Jack, what have I gotten myself into?

Hiking up her hospital gown, Kasumi began to climb the tree.

(( Kasumi fell. She's out! ))

The fog was dizzying, but Jericho was determined to continue on. His lust for treasure was overpowering the strange burden that the mist was putting on his body.

Sammy had seen everything from a distance, she had planned to try another shot at the cursed shed and possibly set fire to a few sacks of grab grass but something else got her attention. It seemed like student after student was wandering into the woods lately.

Something that no sane student would normally do.

Then again, the fog was looking quite alluring. So Sammy b-lined past the shed towards the fog. What forms of students she had been able to see were suddenly gone. She couldn't tell what was going on now. Voices quickly faded. "Guys? Anyone? I saw a few of you in here-" she paused glancing up, was that a light she saw? Checking around for others she started towards the light feeling blindly for a tree to climb.

Junko whipped her head back to see who was coming, blinking a bit and waving to all her friends. So many of them! Her face paled a bit at seeing Mei-Xiu, however, and she backed away closer to the fog. Oh, Jack! It was that psycho doll ghoul! The further into the fog she got, however, the less she saw of everyone else. Huh? But...wait..wh-where was she?! She frowned and bit her lip, looking around in a bit of a panic. Oh, Jack! What was going on? The glint caught her eye easily, blinking and staring up at it. Whoa...pretty.

She wanted it.

She attempted to climb the tree, actually managing to get pretty far up before a branch cracked under her foot and the ghoul went crashing down to the ground. Owwww!

Well, he'd made it to the top, at the very least. But up here, the fog completely enveloped the tree. Ren could not see very far at all, not to mention that everything felt...stuck; muted, almost. He felt as if he shouted, the sound would not echo and just fall flat, deadened inside the thick white mist. It made his head hurt, the pressure increasing inside of his skull, and he raised a hand, pressing his fingers to his temples. There was a persistent ringing in his ears, like something was pressing down on him from the top of his head, and it was one of the most unpleasant feelings Ren had ever experienced. It wasn't painful, persay, but it did make him dizzy and slightly nauseated, the gryphon closing his eyes briefly.

Just a little bit farther...

It was probably a stupid idea now that he thought about it, but even he was taken by the shimmering allure of the humming pendant. Despite the thick fog and the prospect of climbing trees, he moved closer and entered the fog, stuffing his half-eaten mushroom in his pocket as he looked up at the speck of light that shined like a certain someone's minipet's nose. He couldn't remember. Wasn't there a song? Then one foggy ……….evening? He was bad with weird songs. Either way, he could see it bright through the fog, even if he couldn’t see anything else.

And it was awfully quite now. He was sure he had heard students make their way to this direction, and he had wondered if he wouldn't make it to try for the shiny, but now that he heard nothing, he suddenly wished he had more company …and a unfogging machine.

Licking his lips, he felt around for a tree and, upon touching bark, he reached up and felt a branch. Then he stopped. Calder never climbed a tree farther than the lowest branch. Why? Well, …..Calder looked down at his hooves. Horses did not climb trees and neither did kelpies. They were runners and swimmers, but not creatures made for climbing and heights. No sort of grip when it came to branches.

Still, looking up, he wondered if he could make it. Slowly, he rose up, and pressing on the tree, scrambled and threw himself over the first branch with some success, and then the tree reminded him that he didn't climb trees, he shouldn't climb trees, and that he wasn't light enough for a tree. Not only did he loose his poor footing, his hooves scrapping at bark, but he took the branch he was laying over with him. First he hit the ground on his back, and then the tree his him.

While no one heard it, he lout a painful "Ooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww." And laid there, until at last, sniffing that he wasn't meant to have a shiny, he got up, held his back, and slowly walked away. He liked the firm ground anyways. Stupid trees.

She returned Israfel's hug, but quick as a cat he was gone, and she was instantly worried about his whereabouts. Wait, Isra, don't go in there too far- too late, she couldn't even see him anymore. She looked around, realizing all too quickly that several of her friends were disappearing into the fog, and shaking her head.

This is such a bad idea. She murmured, as she walked in, and saw something glittering from atop a tree. With ease, she began to climb it. That better be you up there Israfel..
