"Ahhh, you don't have to celebrate it to have some fun." he grinned. It's another of these holidays in which you get to spend some time with the people you know... though... I guess we're not people you know. " He stopped speaking, a little confused as to what to say. His senses were confusing him. This woman was not like the others on the Island there was something unusual about her which was on the verge of triggering a memory within him.
"If you're stranded" he tried "well, there are boats daily from here. Todays boat has already gone, unfortunately... You're welcome to use one of our guest rooms, however."
He looked at Fae almost as if to ask her for help in what to do with this strange woman who had simply apepared -and it seemed against her will - in the middle of the party.

If it had been that wonderful time of month when she went feral and had ears she would have flattened them against her head. Boats? She would rather wrap herself up in a pink ribbon and mail herself home than have to ride a boat and see all the water. No no, no boats for her. She liked water in small moderation and from a little bit of a difference.
"Eh... if I rest my mind a bit I can get out of your hair and make the jaunt back home. My kids are grown, so no one's really waiting up on me. Please do not worry yourself." Wait wait, that made her look old. "I mean, not that I'm that old, but they are adopted... one's a fey.. and the other's a Fa'e... that doesn't make much sense does it?"

Fae yawned and stretched a bit, chewing on a cookie as Foenix left. Eyeing the new women in the room, she arched a brow at her as Alyosha talked with her. Sensing his plee, she nodded to him slightly and walked over. "Hey, Aly!" She greeted/inturupted. She nodded to the women in greeting as well. "And what brings you here? I don't recall seeing you before on Cetalu..." She spoke, getting the attention of Aly although it was late, she hoped he wouldn't leave her.
Fae held onto her glowing jar that was Pueblo then idly looked around for someone.

"Er.. I think I have a vague idea, some of the others on the Island have other charges to look after..and.. yes." his speech faltered again.
"You.. use your mind to travel" he asked, not really wanting to pry but at the same time wishing to know more. He wondered if there were others on the Island who might be able to make more sense of all of this.
He stood quietly as Fae came over to them, chewing on one of the candy sweets.

"I apologize," she bowed to the other woman as well, a small bow like the one she gave to 'Aly.' "I came here because of an err on my own part... I should introduce myself at least. I am Syrenrei," another bow, this one deeper and slow, as if she were mimicing a tradition almost forgotten in her family.
"Oh yes, I do all my work with my mind, truly. It's a...," she struggled to think of a way to describe her powers. A gift? Surely not, it was a way to damnation, but then again, it got her a second chance at life. "It's something I gained from my father."
"My children are a little like the children here... beautiful in their eccentricity." She smiles faintly then. "One's actually from the past, a fairy of sorts from a court of the sun where he serves as a royal advisor. My other son is the reborn soul of a goddess long since lost." She was rambling and realized that it was hard to have a nice conversation while trying not to disclose anything about oneself. And the one in front of her smelled oddly.

"No need to apologise.. You are welcome .. 'Syrenrei' I am Alyosha", he let his head fall forward in an aquiescent manner, thick hair falling across his pale face in an almost-bow.
"This is Fae" he introduced the woman next to him, one of the guardians of the creatures here.
It's always interesting to find that there are others out to preserve the past.." he smiled warily as he lifted his head once more, a long thin hand moving to the back of his neck, pinching it lightly as if to bring some sense of reality back.

"You," she stepped forward boldly, "aren't human." True, in recent years she had worried about being polite, but here in Gaia it seemed like blunt honesty was better called forward, and besides, he had to know he wasn't human, right? I mean, he didn't smell like one, right? But his hair wasn't white... so... she a lock of her hair in her hand, but being mindful not to pull. It wasn't dyed, was it?

Fae studied the women carefully, picking up what Alyosha had said. "Nice to meet you, Syrenrei." Fae was a bit hessitant at first in giving her name, but Syren seemed enough open about herself...asfare-fetched as it all sounded to her. "Ahu.." Was all she could say, finding this almost hard to believe. What was she talking about anyways..? "Ah, I see. Teleportation," she said, half turning towards Aly. "It can't really be explained, but it's basically just that- traveling with her mind. There's different 'levels' of teleportation from moving objects to a certain part of the room to moving yourself to certain areas, like Syrenrei here." She shurgged. "I've stuided this only lightly, but I'm sure you could explain it much better," she smiled to Syren slightly. Suddenly noticing the time, she bit her lip and slipped her hand into her bag, taking out a brightly colored envelope. She handed it to Alyosha with a grin. "Here, I made a little somthing for you."  It wasa plum colored envelope with a purple heart seal. The seal had a faint glow, making it impossible to open until the right time. "I need to go now because I'm quite beat. See you, Aly. I hope you get back home saftely, Syrenrei," she waved before leaving for home until Syren's bold gester. "What the..??" She looked over to her, a bit annoyed. But then she looked to Alyosha, questions in her eyes. She really wanted to tell this girl off, but it wasnt in her nature. She simply stood there confused. ((edit. o_o wink )

He took the envelope from Fae, thanking her a little absently, her explanation had not left him much the more comfortable.
As she had turned to leave, Syrenrei's blunt question had pricked at his ears. Her hand lightly holding his hair. He recoiled a little out of instinct, then minded himself that she had done nothing to offend him, only ask a question.
"No... no i'm not.. and neither are you I'd hazard... your scent is confusing I've... smelled something similar before but i'm not sure what..."

Fae froze and stared. What was going on...? This was getting almost too weird for her. Of course he looked human and probably fooled everyone else, but if he wasn't...what was he? And who was Syren? She stood there, stumped, not sure what to say. o_o

"Demon. Half cat demon." She let go of his hair. All her instincts were screaming she should be leaving now; regardless of race, no one was overly pleased to be in the prescence of a demon, or someone part demon. It wouldn't help if he were to find out she were an assassin too. Icing on the cake.
She eyed the woman leaving and the valentine. All she knew about this holiday suggested that she was someone he was romantic with, and so this made her recoil a bit. Jealousy was a damn strong emotion, that was for certain. And he looked a bit uneasy.
"I'll go somewhere else so you have the illusion of complete and utter safety. It's rude to intrude on a party and then make the host 'freak out.'" Syrenrei smiled- it wasn't anything personal she was sure.

Alyosha shuddered slightly, his skin goosepimpling along his arms. "You.. you know what it's like then..." he murmered quietly.
"Please, don't leave!" he quickly said as she tried to excuse herself. "I've never met a.. another half demon" he said this with difficulty as if accepting that he was this was something he did not quite wish to say. It was more, however, what others had not accepted in him. He had generally hidden this from others and reacted to them much in the way Syrenrei was doing now..
He was both intrigued by and fighting not to recoil from the memories which she brought forth in him.

Nyxa ..awoke, so to speak, and fussed around in the kitchen while listening half-heartedly to the conversation occuring.
Luc started stalking Fae, belly-crawling about on the floor towards her, tail thrashing behind him. His wings were pressed firmly against his back, neck feathers bushed out as he went into hunt-mode.
Julian watched from afar, a small grin creeping across his features.
((Erp. Don't mind me, just hopping back in. XD))
